Sushi Miyabi - Mitte in Berlin

Surprisingly good sushi for a place that's otherwise geared more toward tourists. Good value and very friendly service.

Always love here for the affordable sushi and it’s fresh!! The environment is clean and nice, always have seats. Cash is preferred.

The food was very good, but unfortunately that's no use when the toilet is broken, the waitress is sick, and the coffee machine is broken.

I ordered Lunch Set M1. Unfortunately, I can’t say that the quality of the food or the service matches the prices. 🍣 Food: Nigiri with salmon, salmon maki, crab stick maki. Miso soup was complimentary. First of all – the rice falls apart! There were only 5 tables occupied in the restaurant. Is it really that hard to take the time to prepare the rice properly and wrap it in nori until the end? I literally had to pour the sushi onto my plate because it was basically rice mixed with soy sauce. 🍲 Miso soup was fine, but honestly, it’s not that easy to mess up miso. 💁🏻‍♀️ Service: What could be improved? With 5–6 tables and 2 staff members working, there’s enough time to come over at least once and ask, “Is everything okay?” or “Did you enjoy your meal?” Or even suggest additional dishes — that would increase the bill and make the customer feel valued. I didn’t feel any personal attention. 🌸 Atmosphere: Nice. The restaurant stands out thanks to the beautiful cherry blossoms and hand-painted decorations. 🤼‍♀️ The ladies’ restroom was out of order. 🌐 Wi-Fi disconnects after about 30 minutes and needs to be reconnected. 🚩Conclusion: I wouldn’t go back there a second time. Sorry, it doesn't worth it.

A great restaurant located in the S-Bahn viaduct, very close to Friedrichstrasse station. The ambiance is very nice, with large wall and ceiling paintings. The sushi is delicious, very reasonably priced, and always beautifully presented. It's a shame that you can only pay in cash and cards aren't accepted. But it's still worth going for the sushi. Update June 2025: Miyabi now accepts card payments. The quality of the sushi is still excellent. The service is very attentive, and the food is prepared very quickly.

Unfortunately I didn't find the food tasty at all. I ordered miso ramen and it didn't taste good at all. Neither the broth nor the noodles were good, they were just yum yum noodles. The ramen tastes much better at the branch on Berliner Strasse, as very few people use real noodles, not yum yum noodles for 30 cents. And the kimchi didn't taste good either, it didn't have the right acidity like you'd normally expect. Card payments didn't work either. There was a small sticker on the table saying "no card payments accepted" - you just overlook it.

Sushi Miyabi in Berlin-Mitte is a delight! The fresh ingredients and precise craftsmanship make every piece a delight. The creative rolls and attentive service are particularly noteworthy. A must for sushi lovers who value quality and authenticity. Lunch menus are available with a choice of soup or spring rolls. I'd be happy to return!

Was refused service because they decided to close the kitchen 1 hour 40 minutes before closing. A very snarky male waiter didn’t greet us or said goodbye just said “kitchen closed” and nothing else. If you want to close almost two hours before your actual closing time at least say hello. I was a regular here and had a lovely experience with three other waitresses with wonderful food but this waiter simply makes me not want to come ever again. Another point about this waiter was that the previous time we were there he served us, was completely sick, sneezing and coughing around food and drinks, was also not polite without even saying hello or goodbye. I’m not sure we will be coming back even though it became our regular spot, this waiter simply ruins the whole atmosphere of the place.

Hello, I ordered chicken curry mango plate. I had eaten at Sushi Miyabi several times and it was always a 10/10. This time they used a ready-made sauce and it didn't taste good at all. I had to force myself to eat. I didn't find it tasty at all..

The sushi is great! The food is generally of good quality, but the ramen and karaage are not what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant, but rather a simple (not bad) noodle soup and Asian baked chicken. The mango lassi is highly recommended.

Very bad service, I came with my entire group of friends and we spent a lot of money. When they saw that we were tourists, they tried to scam us. They only allow cash payments, so the place doesn't declare the amount, they made up the prices, there was no change, and the waiters didn't treat us well. They also didn't allow us to pay in coins.

When it came time to pay, there wasn't enough change for everyone; they didn't accept certain currencies. The woman serving us seemed like she couldn't count, and the man next to us was very aggressive and yelled at us.

Pretty good food for the price, but you have to be more exact with the price, since they changed the drink prices at the last minute. You can also only pay by card and there is no change, so you have to pay large amounts with small coins.

Nice ambience and nice service. Unfortunately the food was unsuccessful. Sushi was ok, but didn't feel fresh, my fish soup tasted sour, was too salty and I left half of it. Unfortunately, I still had a grumbling stomach later 🙈 Prices are ok if the food is good!

Recommended to anyone who wants to eat good sushi!!!! We hadn't made a reservation and were able to get a seat on a Tuesday evening. Ask about happy hour - it's really worth it. Great ambience, staff polite (just a little reserved, i.e. ask more often if you want a drink). The only drawback: no card payment is possible!

Went out of my way to go to this restaurant based on how many stars it had. I ordered two different types of ramen which were severally lacking in flavor. If you have ever tried “Top Ramen” or “Cup Noodles” the broth is not far from it. Save your money and try ANYTHING else on the menu. If you have experience trying other ramens or pho’s from other restaurants, I do not recommend this place.

My GoTo sushi stop for great sashimi. Only the “cash payment only” policy is annoying

we went here and at first all seemed fine. then I slowly got annoyed by the music which was playing one pop song on repeat, really got on my nerves. The food was really mid, but what was the last straw was the waitress, who seemed somehow annoyed by us. when we asked to pay she started taking all the cutlery and stuff, and without being careful, dragged all of our leftovers on top of each other. Then she proceeded to pour some miso soup on me :) I wish I could say it was an accident, but I really feel like she wasn’t being careful and was somehow annoyed by us just existing.

Such a beautiful restaurant with beautiful japanese decoration. I ordered tuna and salmon. I don't need to talk about the freshness of the salmon!! it was perfect. Kinda high prices. It isn't worth it if you don't want to eat sushi in little portions. The service was great. The food arrived really fast and I didn't wait in queue. I saw some people criticizing the s-bahn noises, but for me, it made the experience more authentic. I would recommend if you are close by and want to enjoy nice food. 🙂‍↕️

Bad service & only cash payment possible!! We enjoyed the food. But the waitress & service…. is too bad!! We didn't have any bowls for the soy sauce and took them from another empty table, she saw it and yelled at us... She said: I bring you, why did you take from the others??? Hello? Is it such a big problem for you then? We still gave her 5€ tips, but didn't even hear a thank you from her!! People like that shouldn't work in the catering industry, it's not possible!!!

Best sushi I’ve eaten in my life!

My favorite sushi shop in Berlin. Located close to Friedrichstrasse and good amount of tables. Attention - only cash payment possible here. With their 2-for-1 and discount specials during happy hour (all day), it's worth a visit, especially if you're hungry. Clear tip: Mini baked rolls individually filled (sushi roll fried in tempura). Staff is very nice, there are few toilets. Reservations are recommended, but I have often been there spontaneously and have always been able to get a seat.

Card payment not possible. Food is a long time coming. Staff friendly. Sushi is good, but portions are very small and relatively expensive. Makis 2 for the price of 1, but half price would be better. Tofu pocket in economy format: halved and placed on top of the rice. It doesn't work at all: then it's not a tofu pocket... Cocktail sauce wasn't available as a side dish for the fried rolls, it was already poured onto the rolls. Cola comes in a bottle with a glass, but the waiter didn't pour it at the table but on the way to the table, so the glass and bottle were half full, also a no-go. No

Sushi is delicious. Service is good. And there are happy hours all day long, even if the prices are not cheap but rather reasonable. But you can only pay in cash - not okay for a tourist place.

The rice was too much and it was too sweet for some reason

We love sushi and were looking forward to our dinner. While the sashimi was great, the rice in the nigiri and sushi was poor. In addition, the nori (seaweed wrap) of the sushi was hard and super dry. We ended up not finishing the sushi pieces.

I am a regular customer at Miyabi and had lunch on Saturday around lunchtime. The food tasted great but their staff is very unprofessional. The staff eats while you wait outside the door to be brought to the table, this isn't the first time something like this has happened to me at Miyabi. Nice experience, very polite and friendly staff, the sushi was very fresh and delicious. Very acceptable price/quality! The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful. Initially the location is a little dubious, under a bridge and with some 'strange' movement. But ultimately, at no point did we feel unsafe. Nothing to point out. I recommend!

I took the set at a 50% discount, if it weren’t at a discount, it’s very expensive and not so tasty. The picture on the menu and what they brought are slightly different. Overall good, but only if you come during happy hour. Nobody answered when it starts and ends. 😄

Unfortunately very unfriendly. When they pointed out that the salad wasn't fresh, I was told they eat it every day. The food (Sushi Yakiptori Inside-Outside & Mini Baked Roll) were ok! I usually always go to Wilmersdorf and it's not that bad there! In addition, the waitress coughs constantly, which isn't so appetizing when she brings your plate to the table!

This is not a recent story, but a few years ago, I ordered sushi here and got food poisoning. When I developed symptoms, I was at the nearby New Museum, where I was unable to leave the bathroom for two hours. There is no problem with the service, but since I have never had a problem like this overseas, I was wondering how they handle perishables in terms of hygiene, which is why I gave it 1 star.

Cheap and dry sushi. The table was sticky and there were used tissues under the table. I was supposed to pay more than what I ordered because the happy hour offer was calculated incorrectly. The restaurant is a tourist trap.

Kimchi didn't taste like kimchi unfortunately, probably flavored with Sriracha. It doesn't taste bad, but it didn't meet my expectations. The food as a whole tasted okay, but the duck meat didn't seem to be of particularly high quality. The atmosphere is okay, but sometimes a train runs over the shop and it shakes a lot. The waiter was nice. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible. In my opinion, the pricing is a bit expensive (especially drinks!)
