Umami Sushi - Grill in Münster

Great food value. Raw fish quality is rather good. Cooked dishes are soso, especially the duck. Real dry. Ice-cream was good especially the matcha favour. The place is next to main station so very easy to find. The interior is rather old-fashioned and rundown, so not exactly a good place for romantic dating. Service is average and the team work there is not so smooth.

This was my second time at Umami Münster and I would come again and again. In my opinion (I'm a student), the price is completely justified, considering what you now pay for a schnitzel with fries elsewhere. The food came quickly, despite being very busy on a weeknight. Nevertheless, there was still time for a nice conversation with the waiter, who explained to us about the origin of the delicious fish. The sushi is the best I've ever eaten! Absolute recommendation!

We really liked the restaurant. From the outside it doesn't look particularly representative, but inside there is a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's clean, cozy and inviting. The menu is diverse. We chose the ‘all-you-can-eat’ option, where you can choose 12 dishes every 15 minutes. It was all very tasty! We recommend it.

We were regular customers for years even before the switch to all you can eat. For the first few years, AYCE's offering was delicious, fresh and special. Recent visits have been disappointing. The food is usually only lukewarm, the plates are placed carelessly on the table, the dishes are past their best, they could use a thorough cleaning and the music is regularly inappropriate and much too loud. The great food, which was worth the price and the long journey, is unfortunately history. After we had stomach problems the last few times and the salmon was very oily, we won't be coming back. Extremely unfortunate. Slacking off when things are going well is not a good decision.

Top. There was no space when we arrived, but that wasn't a problem. During the wait of about 15 minutes we were offered something to drink and the service was also great later on. Taste great! Always my pleasure

Unfortunately I can't agree with the good reviews. I was here a few years ago and the food was great. When I was there today, I was a bit shocked. Tempura were carelessly fried without breading, kimchi was absolutely not spicy, that's not a bad thing and was probably adapted to the visitors' palate, but it had absolutely no taste, not just no spiciness. The fried things were definitely not fried in fresh fat, unfortunately you could just taste it. The salmon was also rather low quality, very streaky. Meat, for example, Strack was like made of rubber. I'm so sorry to write this but for the price it's just cheeky. If you don't have much knowledge and maybe don't know what the food was like here a few years ago, you'll find it great here.

Fantastic! If you like eating sushi in Osnabrück and appreciate good sushi, you should definitely make Münster Umami!!! Actually even better than in Osnabrück!!! I'm coming back!!

We had the sushi all you can eat, where you order the food using a tablet. Unfortunately, we didn't like both the sushi and the ambience that much. The long waiting time was particularly negative. You can only order new food every 15 minutes and then it took a long time until the food was at the table. Some dishes that were ordered were completely missing. I had already been to Jusho and Ichiban in Münster. The ordering times there are shorter than 15 minutes and the service is also faster. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this store.

Super delicious food. Everything was freshly prepared. The best sushi I've ever eaten. But everything else is also highly recommended. Ordering with the tray worked great, it was something different and we really liked it. Parking is available in the nearby parking garage or on the street. Service is consistently friendly. Recommend this restaurant 100%.

The ambience is good. However, there are some dirt spots in the corners on the right and left that could be removed with a mop. The sushi wasn't quite chilled but was still tasty. Overall it wasn't bad but overall it wasn't particularly good either. We had to wait a long time for our orders so that we felt full more quickly. My husband and I usually go to Ischiban. In comparison, Umami Grill doesn't come close. The waiters were unmotivated and not particularly friendly. The price is cheaper but compared to Ischiban we would prefer Ischiban.

It's a shame, it's been a long time since I've been there and the food has gone downhill, hot dishes only arrived cold and the logistics didn't work! My counterpart received everything at once and I had to wait forever and then it came little by little etc.! Unfortunately no longer recommended

Food didn't come, trays didn't leave

The food was an A+ and the atmosphere is very good 👍 for an all-you-can-eat! Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great because the dirt from a dropped plate wasn't even cleared away and posed a risk of slipping for everyone. Overall, highly recommended for a nice evening in MS.

The food was very tasty and the service was very courteous and nice. What should be done better: In some places the empty bowls or plates were not cleared away immediately when new things arrived. It also moved to my table when the door was opened. A vestibule or something similar might help here.

We had reserved for 4 people. When we arrived yesterday the restaurant was closed. Incomprehensible! Why aren't you informed that the mobile number is available? No notice on your website. Together with other guests who had also made reservations, we found a poorly readable notice on the unlit door that the restaurant would be closed until Wednesday due to illness. I had just called and made a reservation 2 days before. There's nothing you can do about illness, but why isn't that communicated? Very very annoying!!

We have been visiting Umami Sushi 🍣-Grill in various group constellations for several years and we are always very satisfied with the friendly service and the incredible food! The next visit is already planned!

If you're not vegetarian or vegan, you'll get your money's worth here. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend eating here with someone if someone in your circle of friends or family is vegan or vegetarian. This isn't the case for me, so I was able to enjoy what I ordered. It was very delicious! The staff was nice too. Only the beginning was a bit annoying because the tablet didn't work and the staff put it away until the tablet had caught itself again. Since you can only stay there for a limited time, it wasn't entirely ideal. Still it was good and I would say better than Jusho when it comes to the dishes and quieter (atmosphere) than Ichiban. Update: 01/06/24: Great food, nice service and somehow the sushi was prepared much more lovingly and beautifully than last time. That's why one more star! 🌟❤️

Pretty much a typical "All you can eat" Sushi place. The staff was decent and the food came out quite quickly. The taste was good and the selection allright as well.

It is 1 of the best resturaunts in town . Very clean great service and espicially the head waiter marco gives best service

Der Service war super nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns aber nicht so gut gefallen. Das haben wir in MS leider schon besser erlebt. Ambiente war aber wiederum ganz hübsch.

Sehr nette Kellner und Kellnerinen, das Essen ist sehr lecker und kommt auch trotz Flatrate zügig zum Tisch.

Für Vegetarier und Veganer ist es leider nicht das richtige Restaurant. Es gab ziemlich wenig Auswahl und geschmacklich überragend kann ich es leider auch nicht nennen. Sehr schade da es für nicht Vegetarier und Nicht Veganer eine super Auswahl gibt und man diese gut ergänzen könnte für einen schönen Abend unter Vegetariern/Veganern und nicht Vegetariern/Veganern die zusammen Essen gehen möchten.

Wer sushi mag kann man auf jeden Fall hin gehen.

Ich war schonmal vor 3 Jahren hier, da hat das Sushi mir schon nicht gefallen. Diesmal dachte ich, dass ich es noch eine Chance gebe. Wieder schlechte Erfahrungen. Erstmal war Sushi nicht frisch, ab und zu roch das Sushi komisch. Geschmack war okay. Am Ende hatten 2 Personen in meiner Gruppe Durchfall danach und die sind schon ganz oft Sushi woanders essen gegangen.

Ist es Sushi? Ja. Ist es lecker? Nein. Ich war zum ersten Mal da und lasse es auch dabei. Irgendwie kam keine Stimmung auf. Das beste war noch die Temperatur des Weißweins, knackekalt, vielleicht half das aber auch, die Quali zu kaschieren. Hauptgang kam lange vor den warmen Vorspeisen. Also mittendrin abbrechen und zu Gyoza und Garnelenturbos greifen, geht bei Sushi zwar ganz gut, senkt aber die Laune. Ach ja, Goma Wakame machte auch einen guten Eindruck. Das war‘s dann aber. Warum ich mich nichts gesagt habe, liegt daran, dass die Speisen handwerklich zunächst mal fehlerlos waren… 🤷🏼‍♂️ Sushi in Münster scheint schwierig zu bleiben.

Das beste Sushi Restaurant in Münster 😍

Für mich der beste Laden in Münster wenn es um Sushi geht. Hier gibt es teilweise auch außergewöhnliche Kreationen die man probieren sollte, aber es wird nicht zu abgespacet oder "unjapanisch" (wie es in anderen Läden zB Sushi mit Tomate und Mozzarella gibt). Das Interieur erinnert ein bisschen an eine Kneipe und es ist etwas verwinkelt, da es das früher vermutlich mal war. Aber es ist für alle genug Platz zum Essen und unterhalten.

Das Essen wurde etwas wenig gewürzt! Das Münsteraner Klientel möchte es wohl so und man versucht allen Wünschen nachzukommen. Ansonsten war es Mega schön.

Super organisiertes Restaurant, sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereites Servicepersonal. Große Auswahl und sehr schmackhaft.
