Wir haben nur was getrunken, aber das Bier war gut, die Bedienung sehr nett und das Ambiente sehr urig.

Geschmackvoller Mittagstisch mit einem leckeren Dröpke Uerige Altbier- echt klasse. Sehr nettes Service Personal.

Ich hatte die Spargelsuppe als Vorspeise und die war ein richtig gutes Seelenessen. Lecker, cremig mit Spargelstückchen in der richtigen Konsistenz. Dann hatte ich die Hähnchenbrust mit Ananas, wo mir ein Sößchen gefehlt hat, aber geschmacklich gut war. Ich habe auch den Spargel vom Spargelteller probiert und auch der war sehr lecker gekocht.

Wie immer, sehr freundlich, sehr gutes Essen, gerne wieder

Hier gibt es deftiges in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Rustikal, ein Ort zwischen Kneipe und Gaststätte. Hier kann man gemütlich einfach nur ein paar Bierchen trinken oder auch gute Hausmannskost zum guten Preis genießen. Definitiv hat man hier jedenfalls eine gute Zeit.

Die Bratkartoffeln hat man wohl vergessen zu wenden. Manche waren von unten schwarz und der Rest war nicht mal ansatzweise angebraten. Verbrannt haben trotzdem leider alle geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war ziemlich totgebraten und trocken, aber zumindest die Panade war ganz gut. Die Soße war allerdings eine absolute Xanthanbombe, von der Konsistent her eher schleimig und schlichtweg ungenießbar. Für den Preis hatten wir nicht viel erwartet und wurden leider trotzdem noch enttäuscht. Wenigstens war die Bedienung größtenteils freundlich.

Das Essen war gut 👍 Das Bier lecker und die Bedienung war nett.

Ansich eine gemütliche Gaststätte. Bei unserem heutigen Besuch ist aber leider die Kundenorientierung völlig abhanden gekommen. Einfach nervig, wenn ohne Rücksicht auf die Gäste die Lautsprecheranlage in voller Lautstärke für die abendliche Karnevalsveranstaltung ausgetestet wid - und das bei voller Lautstärke über mehr als 30 Minuten. Eine freundliche Beschwerde wurde nur mit dummen Sprüchen negiert. Schade!!

Ein super netter Service am Sonnabend Abend ohne Reservierung durch unsere Spontanität. Hat alles super geklappt. DANKE.

Great, long-established restaurant/pub. We went for mussels. Absolutely delicious! At €23, mussels aren't exactly cheap. But highly recommended! We'd gladly go again.

We had a truly wonderful evening! It's mussel season there right now – highly recommended! The mussels were super fresh and delicious. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, and the cozy, rustic ambiance perfectly matched the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend the restaurant!

It used to be really good! Today the food is expensive and tasteless. The side salad now has to be ordered separately. The soup bowls have become smaller and the soup starter has become more expensive. The prices have increased significantly. The tables in the beer garden are so close together that you disturb your neighbors.

My family and I happened upon this wonderful, warm, cozy restaurant with such nice and friendly staff. We come from the Wetterau region in Hesse and were only in Oberhausen for two days. We couldn't find anywhere nice to eat that evening, so we were glad we ended up here. If you want to eat properly and drink in a nice atmosphere with nice staff, you must come here. You will love it. The food is delicious, the prices are OK, the atmosphere is cozy and nice and no problem for small children or disabled people in wheelchairs, so everything was great. But a big thank you to the staff, we saw how much energy and love you put into your work. Go there and enjoy.

My wife and I took a day trip from Bielefeld to Oberhausen in early February 2025. After visiting two current exhibitions, we wanted to have a final stop and had chosen the "Uerige Treff" via an internet search. After an email inquiry in advance, we immediately received detailed information about nearby parking options. Reserving a table was no problem. The food was very good and plentiful, the service friendly and prompt. The value for money was extremely good. We felt very comfortable there, can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant, and will definitely return if the opportunity arises.

The food was okay. Unfortunately, I had the impression it was reheated. Today, the beer was generally served a finger's width below the standard mark. That makes a whole glass for 5 glasses 😉, clever! Overall, though, a nice place and pleasant customers.

Well, canteen food isn't any worse. The service is fast and friendly, which is why the hotel gets two stars.

Simply fantastic! I was there with two colleagues on Wednesday. Great service, delicious food—we had cream of asparagus soup and potato pancakes, and of course, delicious Uerige beer on tap. Our colleagues from Slovenia and Romania are now Altbier fans too 😉 And last but not least: great value for money.

Top pub restaurant on a very nice market square in Oberhausen...great cuisine, among other things. also with a cheap lunch... overall the menu is very good in terms of selection, price structure and cooking quality... special praise goes to the fish dishes... like the plaice fillets and the delicious redfish... the salad and side dishes are also good... the beer is a tasty Düsseldorf Altbier from "Uerige"... the service is in a good mood... friendly and always has a relaxed and appropriate saying ready... the ambience It's casual and appropriate for a restaurant like this... you don't need more of a brewery atmosphere... just finding a parking space is a bit difficult...

There were 12 of us. Nicely decorated, Easter eggs on the table for snacking. Very nice waiter who also responded to special requests. Great Easter meal!! Toilets very well maintained. Highly recommended. We'll be back😍😍😍

Unfortunately this time I was absolutely not satisfied. The steak was not beef. Complaints were simply dismissed. Didn't eat the meat

An ideal meeting point for a cozy evening with friends

We've been eating there for years. Until now everything was always fine. Now we've eaten there and I have to say that the way they deal with criticism is unacceptable. My wife and I ordered steaks. As always, they arrived relatively promptly. We ordered medium. When I took the first bite, I noticed that it was definitely pork and not beef. My wife's meat was quite cold and you could tell from the texture inside that it wasn't beef. When we complained, they just said it was beef and you could see it 😒. Of course we didn't eat it all because it was inedible. When we paid, we pointed this out again and were then told that they could have cooked it again 😳. There was no response to our complaint. What a shame. We had to pay the full price. We have had better service. Unfortunately, we won't be visiting the restaurant again for a while. A real shame.

The name says it all. It's truly quaint and the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. I can definitely recommend it.

Nice traditional German restaurant. There aren't many of them anymore. In the summer there's also outside in the beer garden. The beer is always freshly tapped. I really enjoyed the potato pancakes. The other dishes also looked very good and people ordered plenty of them. Only the meatballs there are too thick with breadcrumbs so that you can clearly taste them. I don't know whether that's always the case. All in all, the Lokl is definitely recommended. Audience is reasonable and otherwise very likeable. I would say one of the few oases in Alt Oberhausen.

Simply the best beer and the cheapest good food in Oberhausen. The very nice staff always make you feel welcome and coming home. Unfortunately the meeting is closed on Sunday, which is why we haven't been there for a long time. Too bad...

Sehr leckeres, hausgemachtes Essen! So urig das Ambiente ist, so lecker ist das Essen. Wir hatten leckere Muscheln und super Steak, auf den Punkt gebraten. Das Restaurant ist eine willkommene Abwechslung zur Systemgastronomie rund um das Centro. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Delicious food, attractive restaurant

Obwohl rund um das Lokal frische Muscheln beworben wurden, bekamen wir NACH Erhalt der Getränke die Aussage, heute keine Muscheln. Wir haben dann per Handy versucht doch joch Muscheln zu finden, haben dann aber aus der Speisekarte andere Speisen (?) bestellt. Das Lokal ist def. kein Restaurant, eher ein durchschnittliches Bierlokal. Früher hoch gelobt, heute mehr und mehr gemieden. Unsere Speisen waren ..., einfach nicht lecker und nicht gut. (Schnitzel, Camenbert, Schweinsbraten) Der Hunger hat´s hinein getrieben. Zuhause hätten wir alle 3 Sachen in der Biotonne entsorgt. Im Fernsehen gibts Köche die können helfen. Wir werden den Friedensplatz in Zukunft zum essen eher meiden.

My husband and I went there for dinner today. The food was very good. The nice young waitress, very friendly and helpful. Good quality drinks. What was noticed negatively was that the tone of other employees towards the younger waitress was terrible. We sat right in the bar area and witnessed these scenes. Otherwise it was a nice evening.

A very nice old German restaurant with a lot of charm. Super nice staff and the food was very tasty and at a great price. Unfortunately, something like this is rarely available anymore. We'd love to come back.

It would be very better if the lunch menu, like other providers, was offered in full a week in advance.

We met here on a Friday afternoon before attending a concert in the Turbinenhalle. There's really nothing to complain about here. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, delicious beers and delicious food. All of this with a generally fair price-performance ratio. Only the schnapps are a bit expensive at three euros per pint. Card payment also possible, what more could you want.

We always enjoy going to the Uerige Treff and travel all the way from Essen. We really appreciate attentive service, delicious Altbier and a good selection of down-to-earth food. A recommendable pub atmosphere that is no longer easy to find these days. Pleasant price level.

This has become our favourite restaurant in Oberhausen. Everything is good and prices are very reasonable. Waiters are super friendly and humorous. Fully accessible and wheelchair friendly 🙂

Food was very bad. Ordered a rustic plate. Rump steak was twice as rare. Totally raw. Only fried on the outside. The very friendly waitress pointed this out. plate back to the kitchen. Plate comes back. My companion had already finished eating. Now the rump steak was almost inedible. Doubly well done. Totally dry. The pork fillet is no longer edible. Informed the waitress. Answer: I will inform the kitchen so that it doesn't happen again in the future. That was it then. Paid 22.90 for almost inedible food 😡 However, the mussels from my companion were very good and the waitress, who was on her first day at work, was very friendly and attentive.

Das Lokal wurde mir empfohlen, ich darf sagen, dass die Speise, die ich zu mir genommen habe, ein Zigeunerschnitzel mit Pommes Frites und Salat definitiv nur formgepresstes Vorderfleisch war und der Salat entweder aus dem Glas, mit Sicherheit die Mehrheit davon, als auch der Rest komplett um gewürzt, ohne Essig, ohne Salz, ohne alles. Die Pommes Frites absolut kalt, aber die Sauce zum Zigeunerschnitzel. Die war sehr lecker. Das Wasser eine Unverschämtheit, was hier verlangt wird an Preisen. Der Service war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam, hier würde ich definitiv fünf Punkte geben.

The food we ordered was very tasty and enough for even a hungry craftsman. The service is not intrusive but is always there when needed. The rooms are, as the name suggests, Uerig and always worth a visit.

On Wednesdays we had potato pancakes and apple pancakes for dessert. It was better than my mother's!

Bad service, bad food, not even really warm...the burger isn't fresh and the pasta bake tastes like the one from Lidl for €2.99. Never again

The price-performance ratio is still right here. Good German cuisine. Since there were so many people there at the same time, it was very stressful for the staff.

Came here through previously posted reviews. I have to be honest, they are all worth it! We had wiener and Prague schnitzel 2 beers and a coke and you absolutely don't have to pay much No criticism at all, but if you want to complain... then some music would be nice. Because the sound of the fountain works on the bladder 🙈

A great restaurant. The staff is friendly. The food is good, lots of it and super cheap. The plates are so full that you have to strain to see that there is a plate under all the food. And when you pay you wonder how they can do all this for such a price. If I had to criticize something it would be the wobbly tables, but that is easily solved with a beer mat. So there is actually nothing negative to think of. I would therefore like to thank the staff very much and that they can receive even more customers thanks to this review. So if you are in the area, be sure to stop by.
