Good food, too many of the Maki rolls have vegan cream cheese

Super tasty food, large selection and large portions. Very good, nice and attentive service! There could have been a little less chickpeas in my bowl, but the taste was still very good. It was very busy, so I might recommend making a reservation.

Large selection of tapas, unfortunately they weren't that convincing in terms of taste, we've eaten much better. Plus, when it got more crowded, it was extremely loud and we could barely hold a conversation.

The food is okay but not overwhelming. There are a variety of small dishes, a handful of bowls and various sushi compositions. All dishes are vegan. We had various small dishes and a bowl. The small dishes were okay, but none of them blew you away. Unfortunately the bowl didn't bring us what we ordered. In general, however, I find millet completely inappropriate in an Asian bowl. Unfortunately, the Temphe pieces were cut a little too thick, which meant that the middle was too flabby and tasteless. Unfortunately it didn't convince me. Unfortunately, card payments are not possible either.

We were visiting Cologne and went spontaneously without making a reservation - on Saturday afternoon. The young man at the front with glasses immediately got seats for us (6 people). Thank you for that! The ambience is great and the food is amazing. I've been eating vegan for 7 years, I've tried a lot of things and even cooked them myself, but it's really crazy - very, very tasty and the portions are sufficient. Reasonably priced.

In the end, many vegan restaurants don't deliver in terms of taste - Udum does. This is our third time here and the food is great. There are sophisticated, tastefully balanced Asian dishes that are also attractively presented. The selection is more than large; everyone should find what they are looking for here. The staff was very friendly during our visits, which rounds off the overall impression. In terms of price, Udum is not in the cheapest range, but the restaurant can definitely afford that given the quality. Recommendation: Make a reservation online before coming here, especially on weekends.

The absolute BEST vegan restaurant I know. I've been here twice so far and both times I was fascinated by the taste and appearance of the food. The food comes quickly, is delicious and there is a really exciting selection - I would always like to order the entire menu!

Super tasty. Very nice service. Nice ambience. Starter green gyoza and shrimp were delicious. The mayo that is served with the green gyoza is super delicious. If the gyoza were crispy or fried it would be even better, but they are probably also very tasty when steamed. Main course pho and udon noodles were also very tasty. Crispy tofu is served with the udon noodles, super delicious and the sauces on it are fantastic. Always my pleasure! Unfortunately we're not from Cologne :( The dessert coconut balls are MEGAAAAA delicious. A dream 😍

The food is more than delicious! Everything I've tried so far has been a 10/10. The spinach gyoza are the best I've ever eaten, as is the sushi - simply outstanding! The tofu was prepared very tasty and the sauces were flavorful and harmonious. I ordered the Pagoda Bowl, which I can only recommend. The vegan shrimp is also great, as is the green curry with beans. Everything was freshly prepared and the taste was varied. The iced coffee and iced tea are also super delicious. The ambience is relaxed and the restaurant is nice. The staff is super nice and accommodating. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, highly recommended ❤️

The food there is incredibly tasty and the service is great. It was really full yesterday (Saturday evening) and the service was super friendly and accommodating. We had to wait a little longer (which wasn't bad at all, we had a good time) and a plate with more sushi rolls was added to our 2-person meal as a "small compensation" for the waiting time. I can only recommend Udum. The dry ice is always an eye-catcher! Thank you!

I can't imagine a more disrespectful approach. I called Udum several times and after they picked up, I explained to them that I didn't have a Wolt account and therefore couldn't order via the Wolt app. They confirmed that I could order from you via the website in the news portal. Och ordered so much extra that a delivery for Udum would be worth it (around €35). After 20 minutes I called again and the representative told me that orders through the website would not be answered until around 3-4pm. I ordered at 1:30pm...! Very disappointed...

Incredibly delicious food, very fast and super friendly service and a great ambience! We love this restaurant! To everyone who is upset about the lack of card payment: just take cash with you or go somewhere else, then those who have money can enjoy it.

ONLY CASH ACCEPTED! In 2024, it’s unbelievable that a restaurant still doesn't accept cards or electronic payments! The only reason I can think of it's tax evasion! Avoid this place!

Udum is a place that inspires with its exciting ambience. The food is really great and offers an interesting selection that makes every visit a pleasure. I would particularly like to highlight the very clean and modern toilet - a small but nice detail! The service is attentive, but on my last visit it was very busy, so the wait was a little longer. But that didn't detract from the overall experience. I've been here three times and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

This is the best Asian restaurant I have been to in Cologne. The ambience is nice and is very cozy. The staff is friendly and toilets are super clean. The dishes are mind blowing. I personally recommend pink lady dish. It is very innovative. Moreover the presentation of the food was also beautiful. The service is super fast. We went there on Sunday evening without reservation and we were able to get the table. Every food item in the menu is super tasty and fully vegan that I can visit this restaurant every week.

I would really like to eat here, but as a non-vegan and non-vegetarian, unfortunately I can't find anything to eat here. If there was at least a very simple salad with dressing or something filling like bread, pizza or pasta, I could ignore the fact that it doesn't contain meat. But unfortunately every dish has some hyped ingredient that I don't like. There aren't even fries with ketchup. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible to eat there with the vegan part of my family.

The food was very tasty. The gyoza and bun baos were the best in my opinion, so highly recommended. Service and ambience is also great. We'd love to come back

I've been to Udum twice now and I'm thrilled. If you, as a vegan, usually have to eat bland, purpose-built dishes in other restaurants, you can really feast here. The selection is very large and the food is beautifully prepared. The staff is very nice and the drinks are also delicious.

The three of us went to Udum for lunch. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and the service is very friendly and accommodating. For starters we had Gyoza & Sushi Secret Garden. The gyoza were good with a very tasty sauce and the sushi was super tasty! For the main course we had the Udumbara Bowl, Sala Bowl and the Bun Bo Hue Soup. They all tasted delicious and the portions were large! We'd love to come back :)

We were a group of 6 people. We were impressed by the large selection of vegan dishes and the friendly service. The food was very tasty.

The food is very tasty and is beautifully prepared. With every visit to Cologne there is also a visit to Udum. So far I haven't had a dish that I didn't like. The service staff seem very stressed and hectic, especially in the evenings. Our drinks have often been forgotten. It is advisable to contact the staff immediately. The atmosphere is very nice and modern. The only thing that bothers me is the stools, which seem very bulky to me because I can't lean on them. It can become uncomfortable, especially if you sit there for a while. All in all, I am very satisfied and can highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent and original cuisine, friendly waiter. The room is very noisy and full, I advise you to make a reservation. However, a simplified reservation system would be appreciated. We sent an email with the name, number of people, and time, but we were still asked for more details and we received no further response... Having to pay in cash is also a bit restrictive, but there is an ATM 300m away.

Very modern Vietnamese fusion food. It was delicious and very artfully prepared. Portions are sometimes very generous. But you can have it packed up. We were just visiting Cologne, which is why we tried to make a reservation. That turned out to be difficult. It wasn't possible to call because no one ever answered. An online inquiry then led to us being booked in without any time. On site, the nice waiter gave us a table for a limited time anyway because something had gone wrong. 1A waiter!

We actually like eating at Udum because of the fully vegan sushi, but my last service experience was completely wrong and made me feel uncomfortable. Because it was very strange from start to finish. The service was basically unmotivated and more neutral than friendly. We were there about 1 1/2 hours before closing time and as we picked and waited, it was already restless and uncomfortable in the store. It's valid that the employees are already starting to tidy up the shop a bit, but I can't understand why they're literally throwing the cutlery into the drawers while guests are still eating with them. Because the drawer is in the immediate vicinity of the other tables for clearing away, it's quite annoying if you want to eat there in a relaxed manner and always have to listen to such background noise in the evening. We have experienced this in this branch every time we have been there. The highlight, however, was when the employee tried to take the soy sauce from the table while I was just eating my last pieces of sushi. We perceived her as pushing, especially since she could see that I still had sushi on my plate. As I said, it was less than 10 minutes before closing time, but still a good hour. Because I was annoyed and dissatisfied, I of course didn't want to give a tip. So I handed her the bill and should have gotten change from her now. After all, I didn't say "that's fine" or indicate in any way that I wanted to give her a tip. And then she just said “thank you” and left?! It was so strange and uncomfortable. And I was so angry that I just wanted to leave and not do any more tearing up for a few euros. However, this bitter feeling still remains and I'm just disappointed. I guess that was my last visit to this branch.

It's simply unnecessary that you still can't pay by card in this store. That always has a stupid aftertaste. We had to make a special trip to the bank. If this had been pointed out to us at the beginning of the evening, we would have had one less drink and the money would have been enough. Apparently it's on the map, but we didn't see it. Not a nice end to what was actually a nice evening. Card payments should be standard in 2024. Until then, I won't be able to eat anymore. Just a shame!

The menu contains mostly asian tapas and sushi (between 6-8€). All items are a creative vegan approach that reaches from tofu over buns to drumsticks. They look stunning and are delicious. Most tapas contain 2 items (like drumsticks or pancakes...) can be easily shared.

The only reason I don't give the last star is because you can only pay with cash. Nowadays, card payments should be standard. Be that as it may, the food was fantastic and really blew me and my sister away. We had the Soy on the Run, Shrimp, Bun Bao, Salad and Spicy Tuna Sushi. One better than the other.

A taste experience, with excellent service and then also good price/performance, what more could you want. We were given very nice advice when choosing our dishes and were given a great selection of tapas. The sushi for two was freshly prepared and the dessert was also very tasty. The Vietnamese coffee provided an unbeatable conclusion!

Udum convinced me. We ordered a few people across the menu. The service was super attentive and quick. I had a bowl that left me more than full. The presentation of the food is very nice, dressing was on point. Tofu was super tasty and vegetables were crisp and fresh. Afterwards, all non-vegans/vegetarians were completely convinced that they didn't miss any meat. Overall, a nice visit, we'll definitely be happy to come back. Small criticism: The shop is a bit inconspicuous from the outside and the red lettering on the windows isn't that appealing or doesn't fit in with the stylish interior and I don't think it's a problem to just access the map via QR, we still have one You got a printout, but it was already pretty worn out, so just laminate it in case you want to give out an overview and paying in cash is unfortunately also a small minus.

I had dinner at Udum with my sister on a Saturday evening. The exclusively vegan dishes appealed to us and we were not disappointed. Delicious! But everything else was very relaxed. The service was abrupt and seemed very stressed. It was way too loud in the restaurant.

We have eaten at Udum several times and have always really enjoyed coming here. The fact that all the food is vegan is a reason to come here more often. We also took the fact that it's best to reserve the table a few days/weeks in advance and have been able to spend some lovely evenings there since then. The food is still simply amazing and delicious! Unfortunately, the last visit, despite having reserved a table, was such that after almost an hour we were asked whether we would be willing to vacate the table because it had already been re-reserved - and we had just finished eating and wanted more drinks reordered and two out of four people still had more than half of their drinks in their glasses. 10 minutes later we were relatively pressured (although the service staff were also uncomfortable) to vacate the table and finally pay. During the entire time we weren't even asked if we wanted to order anything else - a shame. So far you have been able to spend a nice evening with friends at Udum with a table reservation. So it just seemed uncomfortable.
