I love Sattgrün! The price-performance ratio is excellent. Comfort food. I can also recommend their cakes. My favorite restaurant in Cologne.

Delicious! The portion was so big, I almost rolled out of the kitchen. A wide selection of hot and cold dishes. They also have soup. The lemon cake was fantastic. Lots of older people in the shop, which I appreciate. Vegan and cozy. I'll definitely be back.

And you couldn't even tell it was meat substitute. My taste buds were truly pampered. The homemade lemonade is also highly recommended. The service was very friendly and attentive. Everything I tried from the buffet was absolutely delicious. In hindsight, I should have taken a bigger plate and piled on more. There was also a great selection for vegans and gluten-free eats. All common allergens were clearly labeled. My companion has a garlic allergy and was also given a list of all other allergens.

Inside, it's a bit small and cramped for my taste, so I'd deduct half a star – but otherwise, there's really nothing to complain about. Prices are very fair, the location and atmosphere are very good to good, the food is top-notch, and the staff is super friendly. In short: Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back! 🌿

The only area for improvement lies in the organization: As a self-service restaurant, guests are largely responsible for keeping their tables clean. As a result, the seating is occasionally left in a state that slightly detracts from the otherwise very positive overall experience. Conclusion: Satgrün comes highly recommended for anyone who values ​​healthy, flavorful, and innovative plant-based cuisine.

Highly recommended! I'm not a vegetarian, but everything here is delicious. Soups, a cold and hot buffet, and cakes. No wonder the seats inside are limited. It's self-service, so service is quick. My absolute recommendation if you don't necessarily need meat.

A nice little buffet-style restaurant. Simply choose your plate from three different sizes, fill it at the buffet, and pay at the end...that's it! All vegetarian. I tried four of the approximately ten hot dishes on offer. Two were good, two were very good. You could also have chosen a variety of salads. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, with music at a pleasant volume, making it easy to chat. The dishes change every three months according to the seasons. I enjoyed the autumn version. The medium plate with a drink cost €20. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm torn between three and four stars. The selection is great, especially for vegan food. Finally, there's plenty of protein. But the food was mostly dry, lukewarm, too fatty, and the vegetables were overcooked. But you get full, which is really rare for vegan food in a restaurant. Maybe I was just having a bad day? Three stars because of the flavored water, which I couldn't identify.

Great experience with delicious food, large selection of dishes and friendly service. We sat outside at one of the many tables. It looked cozy inside but was a bit stuffy with closed windows. Expect to wait a bit in line, as everyone plates their own food at their own pace. The first part is the salad bar, the second part contains the warm dishes. Tried everything and especially liked the tofu and grilled Greek soy chunks. The jackfruit was a bit dry for my taste. Highly recommend and will come again 👍

Awesome selection of vegan food and drink options. You have the option to eat healthy, warm and cold food. It’s a traditional buffet - get a plate, fill it and pay per plate. The outside area is really lovely to eat in on cool evenings and the staff speak both German and English.

They recently upped their prices significantly, and on top took super bowl out of the menu completely. This choice of target audience says something about their idea of veganism to me, truly sad about it as I loved their food and was somehwhat a regular and now I hardly go there as it is pretty overpriced for what it is.

In addition to the delicious food, I would especially like to highlight the service. A huge thank you to Saskia from Sattgrün! She is not only super friendly, but also very attentive and professional. You can immediately tell that her guests are important to her. We would definitely be happy to come back.

Very suitable for vegans and vegetarians. A nice selection of salads and hot dishes. Unfortunately, the hot dishes, for example, were completely dried out by the heat lamps. Some things were difficult to identify despite the descriptions, and the fried vegetables tasted strongly of old grease. It's a shame! It's also worth mentioning that it's a self-service restaurant. I'd also like to mention the super friendly staff, who were very helpful and patient in explaining everything to us. All in all, not bad; you should give it a try!

Amazing all vegan buffet. You pay the price of the plate and then pick your own food. I suggest not loading too much on the cold buffet which mainly consists of raw veggies. Hot buffet has loads of different options with roasted potatoes, fried vegetables, curry, stroganoff mushrooms, beans, pasta, rice etc. You cannot taste everything but it all looks great!

We had a lovely time here. The food is on the expensive side, especially since it's self-service, but it's of good quality. What would be a super cool would be a note about the approximate amount of protein per 100gram on the itmes.. The person at the till was very friendly. Thank you. See you next time in Koln

Today, Sattgrün in Cologne was the place to go for food on our city trip. Quite unassuming from the outside and with plenty of seating outside, a small, manageable dining room awaited us inside, inviting us to stay. When ordering drinks, I asked about Sattgrün's concept. The answer is simple and straightforward: you choose one of three plate sizes (small, medium, or large), help yourself to the buffet, which offered plenty of variety, and pay directly at the cash register next to it. The selection included all sorts of delicacies with soy "meat" or jackfruit, plenty of fresh chickpea dishes, sweet potatoes, and fresh vegetables, salads, rice and noodle dishes, as well as sauces, stews, crispy fried tofu, and fresh toppings to sprinkle on. Soups are also offered, but I didn't try them. My choice wasn't difficult: everything! The food looked plentiful and healthy. I think that best describes the Sattgrün concept. Lots of protein and vitamins, yet I wouldn't have to miss the taste. I'm writing this review about twelve hours later, and even though I enjoy two hot meals a day, I still don't feel hungry. The drinks menu is as healthy as it is vegan. Juice spritzers, a homemade lemonade made from kiwi and yuzu, and the occasional alcoholic beverage are on the menu. We each had a refresher – one with rhubarb and one with passion fruit flavor. The prices are quite reasonable for the location. I paid €17.50 (instead of the regular €18.80) and was able to fill my large plate with all the delicacies from the buffet. Sattgrün is definitely already on our list for our next visit to Cologne! The reviews didn't disappoint.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and there's a large outdoor area. The restaurant is clean, and the food is entirely vegan. The restroom is a bit cramped. The location is very quiet.

I can no longer recommend Sattgrün. The buffet is okay, but it no longer justifies the increased prices. The soups were a good deal, also because of the very good bread (two pieces). Now, a piece of bread, significantly smaller than a hand roll at Merzenich, costs one euro. That's confusing pricing. The staff is typically very friendly, but due to the high turnover, with a few exceptions, they are also slow and inexperienced.

I'm not vegan, but I really enjoy vegan food. It was my first time at Sattgrün and I don't regret it one bit. I really enjoyed the food. I like being able to choose what and how much I eat. I also found the atmosphere pleasant. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Low prices adapted to the container and not to the quantity of food, you can make a pyramid on your plate, it's ok as long as it fits in the container, the price remains the same hahaha, so super affordable, good food, warm welcome and the phrase "Until every cage is empty" on one of the walls ❤️💙💚

The food was truly delicious, so it was worth it. Since it's mostly self-service, it's difficult to speak of service. The ambiance is very nice, but unfortunately, it's quite cramped, and sitting inside isn't so great when you're surrounded by people the whole time. Therefore, in nice weather, the outdoor area is more recommended.

One of my most favorite restaurants, so many options, and everything is hearty, fresh, filling and absolutely delicious. The cakes are phenomenal, moist and fragrant, a great place to eat healthy and well.

In one meal we doubled our vegetable consumption over a full week in Germany. Also it was delicious and we will be back.

At Sattgrün you can put together your own plate. You can choose from many vegan delicacies - crisp salads, antipasti, hot soups, exotic vegetable curries, delicious pasta dishes, hearty vegetable stews and roasted vegetables. And for dessert, you can choose from cakes and puddings. Everything is vegan and freshly prepared. The plates are graded in size and you pay for that size. I went for small and my husband went for medium. Turns out you can get quite a lot on a plate! Everything there is freshly prepared each day and it's all delicious. Another reviewer mentioned that the food was very salty but I didn't find that at all. It was so nice to go somewhere for proper vegan food, not just the odd dish squeezed in as an afterthought at the end of a 'normal' menu. We went most evenings once we'd discovered it - such delicious food and too good to miss.

When we were there, it was very crowded, and we had to wait a long time because the potatoes were gone and the line was stuck. It's quite cramped inside, but in the summer, you can also make use of the outdoor area. The price is a bit higher, but I think it's justified for healthy and fresh food.
