This is a really good vegan restaurant, everything is tasty, there is a lot of choice, self-service (you choose between 3 sizes for your plate, that will give you the price of the dish). Right up to dessert it's good and the staff is very pleasant which adds to the pleasure of eating. Go there :)

Lovely choice of food, all vegan which was great for our group of mixed eaters. Great deal at €8.90 for a large bowl of salads (filling your own) and bread. The bread was quite stale/hard which was a shame but rest of the food was delicious.

The food itself is very tasty and the prices per portion are fair, but the whole thing comes with a bitter aftertaste, as this restaurant unfortunately seems to have a problem with vermin.

I can eat here without long waits; there's a hot and cold buffet. I particularly like the salad selection, and there's plenty to choose from if, like me, you enjoy classic vegan cuisine without a lot of substitutes. The food is colorful and delicious, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance inside and outside is simple and straightforward, yet pleasant. The prices have increased, but the value for money is justified ✔️ I'd be happy to go back 🙂🍀🍴

Ate a vegan “buffet” for the first time (otherwise neither vegans nor vegetarians). Very tasty, just missing a little salt here and there, but you can take that.

Very nice place, modern style with both internal and external seats. Wide choice of refined vegan dishes at the buffet, including hot soups. Young, dynamic and smiling staff. Affordable and relatively cheap prices. I also recommend it to those who avoid vegan cuisine a priori: the choice is truly varied.

I really like the concept! We've been to SATTGRÜN several times and everything, really everything, tastes so good! Very tasty, great selection, everyone should find what they are looking for. Also for non-vegans/vegetarians. We like to get take away every now and then and make fresh rice with it. You can get full twice as much in a large box. The dishes are not spicy but seasoned for a broad taste. But there is chili :) The staff is very friendly.

A fabulous vegan buffet. We had brilliant weather on our trip so we sat outside. The staff were kind and explained the system to us. You grab a plate, bowl, or box from the end and fill up with whatever you fancy. Always chuffed when all options are vegan and everything also tasted great.

Very good food, central location

KFC fans are rethinking their meat consumption! As a meat lover, I picked up a salad from Sattgrün today via ToGoodToGo. There was fried tofu in peanut sauce, vegan gyros and other things. Honestly: I hate things like Brussels sprouts or coleslaw, I have no idea what they did with them, but it was delicious. And these warm things are just amazing! I have never enjoyed vegetables and plant-based dishes so much in my entire life. If I knew how to do this myself, I would live a healthier life. At least I now know that you definitely don't need meat to have a taste orgasm - thank you!

Anyone who wants to eat vegan will definitely find something tasty here, and there are also cakes for those who want something sweet.

We ended up here by chance on a Saturday evening. However, thanks to the buffet concept, it wasn't a problem at all that we hadn't reserved a table. The six of us found a comfortable place outside (which was also much more pleasant, as it was incredibly warm in the lush green, at least if you stood in the buffet line with a jacket). The food looked great and even our meat dishes tasted really good and everyone was full and very satisfied. The concept ("Choose a plate size and take it you like") was well explained on the notices, was easy to understand and works great. We'll definitely be back!

For my taste, the food is extremely tasty and healthy. Self-service. Sometimes there are long queues to the cashier. The staff is young and very friendly. If you eat outside, there's plenty of space for everyone, but seating inside is limited, and it can get uncomfortably crowded and cramped at peak times. I'd go back anytime.

Discovered by chance and just loved it! I'm currently doing a little weekend trip with my grandma here in Cologne (we're from Würzburg) - I'm a vegan myself - my grandma is actually probably the opposite... 🫣 - but not only I, she was also incredibly enthusiastic! Very very tasty food! And it's a really great concept where you can try a lot ;) a little bit of everything is the number one tip here! ^^ really a gap in the market! This really should be everywhere! Unfortunately, you rarely get this type of vegan food outside, i.e. in restaurants... :( You could convince a lot more people about vegan food and show how delicious and versatile this form of nutrition is :) Thanks for the great dinner! I only have one request: Please please open a shop in Würzburg!!!!!! 😩🤪 Only mini criticism: The seating inside was quite tight. But that's really complaining at a high level about the food :)

Great! Suuuuper delicious food. The drinks were also delicious. Tip: I thought the small plate looked small but it was more than enough! Your eyes are bigger than your stomach.

The service was very friendly, but my companion and I weren't impressed with the taste. Everything somehow tasted the same. In terms of taste, it was more of a rest stop food. Totally overpriced for the price. Don't come back. There are worlds between the current owner and the predecessor. I liked being in the old restaurant that was there almost three years ago. Ps. Isn't it true what you wrote about "exclusively vegan", I had chicken. Even if something else is claimed here.

I had dinner there with the Veggi girls and after many requests they made me a currywurst. The sauce was very green and sticky. It was an attempt that wasn't convincing. But Cola was cold and carbonated

Great vegan restaurant with a large buffet of cold and warm dishes. Most of the dishes were very tasty. The buffet is kept clean and looking nicely. Unfortunately the model of charging by plate encouraged me to eat too much.

Varied buffet both warm and cold, everything very tasty. The kitchen pieces are amazing! When we are back in Cologne we will come back!

Very tasty food. But unfortunately no information about what's in there. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate some legumes very well... When it's cold outside, it gets very crowded inside and possibly louder. Tight line at the buffet. Prices are already high: €12.90 for a small plate. €14.90 for a normal plate.

I don't eat vegan. Nevertheless, I eat from Sattgrün every now and then, simply because it tastes good. There is a very extensive buffet with many different dishes from which you can put together whatever you like. The atmosphere is nice and in summer you can sit outside under large parasols - also nice. The service was always friendly and helpful. All in all, I really enjoy going to lush green every now and then. If it were possible I would give 4.5 stars.

Very cool concept, you only pay as much as you want to eat (various sizes of plates) and if you're a little hungry you only get a soup, great selection, very tasty, extremely friendly and courteous staff. The atmosphere is more like a canteen and when I visited the seating areas were a bit dingy, but bearable. Come again!

the best lentil soup - risk of addiction! The bread with the soups is a poem, very fluffy and delicious. there are also stamp cards. The vegan buffet is also so good that even meat eaters will fall in love.

The vegan buffet is a safe address for good, fresh food. There is a good selection of fresh salads with different dressings. The hot dishes contain a lot of soy products and most of them are Asian. The dishes also vary according to the seasons. Traffic often comes to a standstill at the checkout because drinks are prepared and taken away straight away. That's a bit annoying when you're standing there waiting with warm food. I find the prices to be too high (self-service, buffet, ambience) and would otherwise be a guest here more often.

Been here for the third time and am always surprised at how great the food is. We always enjoy coming to eat from Bocholt.

Today we had lunch in the Sattgrün and a few hours later drank coffee and ate cake. And both were extremely successful. The buffet concept gives you the freedom to choose between numerous very tasty vegan dishes. The range of cakes was equally varied and tasty. And the cappuccino is sensationally good. The employee behind the counter responsible for the cash register and drinks was also super friendly and patient. And the prices were very reasonable. Overall, an unreserved recommendation and a perfect advertisement for vegan nutrition!

One of the top addresses in Cologne. Very tasty food, everything cruelty-free, super friendly staff. Lentil soup tastes a bit poor, but very tasty if you add some seasoning. Why aren't there in Frankfurt?

Don't know if it's because of the vegan dishes, but the main courses are so heavily spiced that after a few bites you can hardly get the taste out of your mouth. So the soups were good and you get a lot for your money. Salads are good too, but anything warm really doesn't work. Were there with four people, so it's not just my subjective opinion. Sorry, I don't think vegan dishes need to be so seasoned. The only ok dish I think was soy Stroganov. Everything is still heavy in the stomach. :/ Oh yes, it would be great if there was just a leaf salad at the salad bar where you could put a few soy strips on it. Actually there are only salads available that are based on pasta, chickpeas, lentils and white cabbage. You don't get anything easy. Not ours, but as we all know, taste can be debated.

Soup was only lukewarm. Lots of noise and very tight space. Food was really good.

Very tasty buffet with around 50 dishes to combine. You pay for the plate depending on the size and can fill it once. Most of it was very tasty, some of it was a bit over-spiced, but still ok. Very nice staff. If you try it, it's a great meal even for non-vegetarians.

Healthy and serve yourself. I like it! Half the buffet is cold and half is hot. I got the smallest takeaway box size for €12.90. I filled it up with cold foods and it was more than enough food for me. I definitely recommend this place if you want a meal that will make you feel good.

This restaurant offers a excellent selection of vegan food, with a range of hot and cold options. This is a good venue to stop off at for lunch while you are exploring Cologne. The food is a quite salty and the saltiness dominated most of the foods that I tried. This is a very high three, but I couldn’t give it a 4 because of the saltiness. Definitely a place to stop off at for a feed. Staff were friendly and excellent English speakers and the outdoor area was nice, but there were a fair few wasps looking to try my food!

Tastes are different, we didn't like it at all and it was very expensive, almost 16 euros just for the salad..
