We went to Tupac restaurant yesterday. It wasn't my first visit, but my third, though the first at the new location. Unfortunately, our experience this time was rather disappointing. There were already problems with the drinks: We ordered three identical cocktails, but they all tasted completely different, even though they were supposed to be the same. For our main course, we ordered several appetizers to share: Ceviche: Overall okay, but unfortunately a bit bland and under-seasoned. Octopus with tortillas: The octopus was unfortunately very tough and obviously not cooked properly. Empanadas: The filling was very tasty, but the dough was far too greasy and oily. Croquetas: Good frying and breading, but very neutral and rather bland in flavor. For our main course, we chose the grilled meat (Vacío), which is advertised as a dish where you can assemble your own tacos. The meat was well-grilled and of decent quality, however, no sauces, pickled vegetables, or other side dishes were served with it. Ultimately, the dish consisted only of meat and tortillas—more like meat with bread, but certainly not what one would expect from "build-your-own tacos." I would like to expressly commend the service: Our waitress was very friendly, patient, and attentive.

We visited as part of the restaurant week and enjoyed a vegan menu. Every course was fantastic and I will surely come back. The waiters were also very kind and we were able to have a nice chat witht he sympathetic chef. Looking forward to coming back.

For food and service, I wanted to give 10 stars - 5 is too little. After 5 years we came again, different location but everything is still amazing and there’s magic in every dishes:) We all enjoyed the dinner a lot, going back home with a happy belly

It was very cold in the dining room (November); we sat in our coats and our feet were freezing. The food was average. The selection of wines by the glass was meager. There are better restaurants. Unfortunately.

We visited Tupac in connection with a Martini dinner event (November). Unfortunately, the heating broke down, and it was freezing cold in the restaurant. While blankets were available, having to sit there in our jackets was unacceptable. They didn't even provide space heaters. If we hadn't already paid for the menu, we would have left immediately. The food itself was delicious, but unfortunately, the Brussels sprouts in the main course were completely burnt. On the plus side, the cutlery was replaced, and everyone else was polite.

Peruvian cuisine with a modern twist and great service. The ceviche is truly excellent, one of the best I've ever had. The empanadas are very authentic, though the accompanying plate was a bit of a chore. For my main course, I had the chicken and was unfortunately rather disappointed. While the chicken itself was quite tasty, it came with nothing but a few small Brussels sprout halves and some king oyster mushrooms. I personally would have preferred less meat or a bit more vegetables. To finish, I had flan with a smoked milk foam, which was again incredibly delicious! In conclusion: focus on the appetizers and, if in doubt, order an extra one; in my opinion, that's the better way to eat anyway.

The atmosphere- very strange and uncomfortable lighting. Service - the lady server was lovely but the overall service was super slow between meals, and took ages to notice our empty plates. Food was overall very tasty but scored 3 starts as my chicken was not cooked and completely raw on one piece, and we were charged for a meal in full, even with raw chicken!!

Tupac reopened at a new spot and it’s even more delicious. All their tapas are worth trying, but ceviche is simply a classic that you cannot escape. The desserts deserve a separate praise—a combination of unique flavours and high quality ingredients, they make you crave for more (both Flan and Punk Cake were top notch). While the selection of natural wines is interesting, I suggest going for a mezcal margarita—a classic!

All dishes we tried were so tasty and so full of new flavours. They are easy to share in a group and many of them naturally fotting all kinds of dietary restrictions (no meat, no gluten, etc.).

I was at Tupac for the first time about two years ago and it was an unforgettable experience, each dish was an amazing and delicate combination, both in flavor and visual. At that moment we paid 65 euros for the 7-course menu and we left the restaurant thinking that they had been worth it and that we wanted to return as soon as the opportunity arose. The other day we were finally able to return for my birthday and the experience was most disappointing. None of the dishes surprised us in the slightest. All of them were well made, but nothing that couldn't have been eaten in a restaurant half as expensive as this one. The 5-course menu now costs 95 euros and the truth is that, in my opinion, the food was not up to that price. The ceviche, for example, one of the star dishes, was made with a fish with almost no flavor and a strong flavor of lime only, without any accent or nuance to compensate for the citrus. The dessert was a flan executed correctly (which, you will forgive me, any chef can achieve, flan is an easy dessert) with some strawberries cut into small pieces (nothing more!), on top. In conclusion, a slightly boring dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive but not as good as the first time, during which the waitress explained each dish to us as she served it, taking her time. I gave the atmosphere 2 stars because it was an ordinary terrace table placed on the street without much consideration (no tablecloth or flowers). Overall, it's not a bad place to eat, but the price is far from adequately reflecting the whole (atmosphere, food, service). A shame, considering how delicious it was the first time.

Hidden gem in Bergmannkiez. The fresh fish crudo (ceviche) was amazing and the flan with dulce de leche to die for but my surprise were the drinks! This could just be a great cocktail bar too!

We have a one of the testing menus of 6 courses and it was worth it! Food was very delicious and generous. The team was super kind, respectful and very attentive with us. The atmosphere is very calm, you can easily lose the sense of time. It was a great experience! I will surely come back!

Ich war heute das erste mal im TUPAC mit meiner Partnerin und es ist unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant in Berlin geworden. Da der Laden recht klein und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet ist, entsteht sehr schnell ein familiäres Gefühl. Dazu tragen auch die freundlichen und jungen Mitarbeiter bei, die sich für jeden Tisch die Zeit nehmen um die Gerichte beim Servieren zu erklären, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wie bei Freunden halt die für einen gekocht haben. Die Gerichte sind sehr gut in sich abgerundet und jede säuerliche Note wird von einer frischen und süßen abgestimmt. Die Gerichte sind zum teilen gedacht und das empfehle ich auch! Lieber weniger von jedem Gericht essen aber mehr ausprobieren! Es lohnt sich absolut und ich bin normalerweise kein Fan vom Essen teilen im Restaurant :D Die cocktails waren auch wirklich sehr gut und passten gut zum Essen. Wir kommen 100% wieder her und wenn ich könnte würde ich 10 Sterne geben 😂

I had a great night night at Tupac, the food was amazing and the staff so friendly, it really had a great South American charm and the food was high end and delicious!!! And on top of that great cocktails, I will definitely come back and can recommend this place!

One of the “to go” in Berlin. Place is cosy and has a good selection of drinks. Food is top notch, fun and the quality is outstanding. This restaurant is the best Latin fusion place in the city. Don’t miss you chance and indulge!

We had a reservation for 9:00. We asked for tasting menu and it took us 2 hours to get the main course. We got out at 12:00. So the tasting menu takes 3 hours. Before going there, we checked tasting menu and its ingredients. But when we arrive the restaurant, there were totally different dishes they served. We had these courses with line up; Menu was not sufficient since we do not know spanish. And it was not well ordered too. 1- potato bombita: it is okay 2- ceviche coliente : we didn't like it at all. It is too acidic and couldn't eat at all. 3- aji : it is okay. 4- arroz con pollo: chicken is okay but not special. we didn't like rice at all. 5- persado: fish is very good and well cooked but souces are not good. Too strong and acidic souces again. It comes against the fresh fish. 6- flan & citrus: I didn't like deserts. Flan has a strong flavor of caramel or vanilla. And the citrus's lemon sorbet was good but it has some ice particles in it, and it didn't felt good. And the apricot was not suited with the lemon sorbet. At the end, we didn't like tastes a lot, but it might be also because we are not used these acidic and spanish tastes. At the end, they served a special shot which named "Espadin". We liked it quite well. It has a flavor that we couldn't figurae out but the waitress said it is special for latin american culture. And waitresses were so friendly and sincere.

Food: 4/5 (very good) Service: 0 (disaster) It was an evening to forget - and it wasn't because of the food. Food is delicious and well prepared. Our wish not to prepare anything with vegetable oil was also granted. We were happy about that. Unfortunately, the service did not meet the expectations of the restaurant at all. We pre-ordered tasting menu, which according to the website should contain "8-10 courses", was only 5 courses (2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 dessert) and an amuse-bouche, so 6 courses with a lot of squinting. When we asked, we were told that this information was no longer current. The friendly but overwhelmed waitress struggled with our service, turning meal descriptions into a guessing game, missing cutlery, and forgetting a beer order, leading to a frustrating dining experience. But the worst thing was that the evening dragged on so miserably. We arrived promptly at 7:30 p.m. and left at 11:15 p.m. I have never spent more than 3.5 hours in a restaurant. There were about 30 minutes between each course, during which nothing happened and you got more and more hungry because the portions weren't very large. Funnily enough, when we asked for the bill, it came straight away... So I can't quite understand why the restaurant appears in the Michelin Guide. In terms of food, it was tasty but not great either. But there should at least be professional service that guarantees a nice evening and you should get what you ordered (8 courses instead of 5 1/2, a beer, enough cutlery). Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A pity :( PS: There was still a 15 EUR tip still maintaining a spirit of kindness.

Can't quite understand why this is a Michelin recommendation. Food was okay, but I've had better ceviche. Tempora very dry. Best Brocheta: Late shift with a spicy mayonnaise, The chicken with a chocolate sauce was quite good, but not amazing. The choice of drinks was strange: although ceviche was recommended here, there was not a Corona beer, but a sweet Berliner Crowd Surfer. Only natural white wine was offered, and the red wine selection wasn't exactly convincing either. Tempranillo was ok, but there was no wine from South America, not even Argentina.

I have never been served so kindly, it was our first time there, but I was treated like a regular who has been coming for ages. The bartender in particular was totally absorbed in his job. The food was also very good, but the waitress could have given me canned soup and I would still have come back. Great

We attended the taco Sunday here at Tupac Berlin. We tried 3 tacos, Barbacoa which had brisket, pescado which was fish based with mayonnaise and a acids puree, and lastly, cochinita pibil, which was pulled pork. All of the tacos were great, but pescado was very fresh and flavorful with the addition of the sauces, and barbacoa had amazing meat flavor. We also had the New York tequila sour and the Mexican tiki cocktails, and the Mexican tiki is strong but delicious, while the New York sour was light but balanced. Overall, this was a great experience we would recommend to everyone.

This eatery focuses on the Latin American cuisine, with a dedicated taco menu served on Sundays. The cocktails are fruity, just perfectly sour and accompany the food very well. The fish tacos were my personal outstanding dish, and the brisket tacos were a carnivore’s favourite choice. The service was very friendly and knowledgable plus took the time to explain every ingredient to us. All in one a memorable and definitely recommended experience.

Food was nice but service was sub-par. We were there for 3 hours (took 2.5 hours to order, get our starter and main dish). We didn’t get a breakdown of the menu which probably would have ensured the main issue wouldn’t have happened. When served a fish dish with meat (which wasn’t said on the menu) the server told us we should’ve known (how, I don’t know, we didn’t have a crystal ball at hand and unfortunately we haven’t practiced our mind-reading skills lately 😂). The server was not happy with us sending the dish back and told us that they were out of fish and didn’t offer us a solution. When we questioned this, he went to the chef and all of a sudden they magically found some fish again. In the time of waiting for our new magical fish one person had to eat their main with the rest of us watching them. Also our table was ignored which was a shame cause we didn’t have anything to drink. Needless to say, only recommend this place if you can read minds or have a crystal ball at hand! When we voiced our disappointment, the server did offer us to bring a bottle of wine though. This was however after we paid and was on our way out. Unfortunately too little too late

Mit Isabell gab es einen herzlichen Empfang und im weiteren Verlauf einen super Service. Sehr spannende Ansichten bei der offenen Küche mit den Aktivitäten von Ariel Peralta und seinem Team. Ein hervorragendes Menü wurde vorgelegt. Preis / Leistungsverhältnis einwandfrei. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. A hidden gem in western Kreuzberg you should definitely visit if you want to enjoy some great southamerican food in a location with an authentic Berlin Flair.

Haben im Tupac einen wirklich tollen Abend verbracht. Essen und Service waren echt super. Der Chefkoch Ariel peralta hat wirklich ein tolles Menü kreiert- vor allem für alle die Mal etwas ganz anderes in der Gastronomiemetropole Berlin probieren wollen- sehr empfehlenswert!

I don’t know what happened. It used to be a very good restaurant, which I would always speak highly of. I need to say, that it was my first time going there after two years. The food did not resemble nor did it taste the same as the last times I went - this time I was highly underwhelmed. Tupac Berlin has basically turned from a high class dining and mood lifting place into a very basic and overpriced tapas restaurant. In addition I believe they are too strict about their cancellation policies. I couldn’t “show up”, since my airplane was delayed and then my luggage got lost. I called 3 times in total from the airplane and the airport to explain the situation and ask if the reservation could be canceled or moved to another date. I only got a call back the next day to know if I could come that night. As I replied that it would not work for me, they immediately charged 100euros from my credit card (for no show🤣)! Since they forced me to pay, of course I changed my plans and came to eat at Tupac Berlin. The place was almost empty when I arrived and they let us wait way too long for everything…to be served, drinks and food. I don’t know what to say, use your brain, you are not machines. But yeah, maybe it’s just a seasonal thing :). I was just very disappointed. And yes they gave me a 75euro discount but kept 25 euros. It’s still a very ugly and capitalistic approach to connecting to people through food. All in all, that’s how you lose customers.

Este lugar es un sueño! I went for the first time last weekend and I was completely blown away by how delicious the food and drinks were. The chefs are gems and the staff are very kind and accommodating. The atmosphere inside is equally enticing. I’m already planning to take my mom here when she visits ;).

Amazing ! This restaura In Berlin it was the best representation of the latinoamericanos gastronomy . The flavors and presentation is so artistic and beautiful, the Chef Ariel is a icon and the heart in this proyect , very funny and professional, my respect for your work and concept . Unfortunately our experience was not that good as expected, especially for this price. We had the tasting menu, which contained small portions distributed over 9 steps. The food itself was normal and simple (i.e mayonnaise from the tube), but not special and without quality. The 6th step was not eatable (too salty). As good gesture, the chef brought us a new dish, where we waited another 30 min for. In general we waited 30 min after each step, which added up to more than 4:30 hours being there. On top, the drinks were not included in the tasting menu, which was quite surprising for us, as this was not explicitly written on the homepage. Furthermore the drinks were totally overpriced, why we decided to take the additional offer of 50 Euro each (6 glasses - 4 wines, one beer, espresso). The ambience was not special and our table was moving, which we fixed by ourselves with a piece of paper. In sum the tasting menu + drinks is definitely not worth 300 €.

Super Stimmung, fabelhafte Drinks, vorzügliches Essen!

This is a little gem in the sometimes touristy part of Berlin Kreuzberg. I love their food, as their Peruvian-fusion cuisine always amazes and surprises me. Their terrace lies at the entrance of a little courtyard that resembles a corner in Paris and is very comfy and quiet, which is nice in bustling Kreuzberg.

Köstliches Essen - Vegetarisch, Fisch als auch Fleisch sowie Dessert war besonders. Man sollte etwas Zeit mitnehmen. Service war überdurchschnittlich freundlich. Kann das Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Tolles Restaurant mit sehr gemütlichen Aussenbereich. Ausgezeichnete Küche und sehr kompetentes und freundliches Personal. Unbedingt hingehen, wenn man auf lateinamerikanische Fusionküche steht. Tolle Weine gibt es obendrauf!

Der Name des Restaurants verspricht Königliches aus Peru, Heimat des Betreibers. Dieser ist darüber hinaus ein extrem begabter Koch und emphatischer Gastgeber, trotz seiner Punk-Frisur. Alle 4, wir waren begeistert von seiner Kochkunst. Es war mehr als königlich: es war Göttlich! Ceviche unbedingt in allen Variationen probieren! Aber auch das Servicepersonal ließ keine Wünsche offen. Bravo! Muchas gracias! Todo delicioso!! Ach ja.. die Mehrzahl von „1 punk“? = 10 PUNKTE 😉

I love latin American food and that‘s how we ended up here. The menu is very limited to a few dishes which I personally like. We had a variety of different dishes (very small plates). After a very long wait (although the restaurant was quite empty)the food arrived beautifully presented. The portion sizes were tiny. I know fine dining but this wasn‘t it. Everything was tasteless. I had the feeling they really only cared about how the food looked. Unfortunately we ended up leaving the restaurant totally disappointed and hungry with loads of money less in our pockets.

Haben a la carte gegessen. Für uns waren die sehr guten Zutaten leider völlig über gewürzt. Leider keine gute Beratung wie Gerichte kombiniert werden können. Preise fanden wir nicht angemessen. Service hat sich bemüht aber leider erfolglos. Für die Bestellung des Essens hatten wir kaum genug Zeit die Karte zu studieren, als wir zahlen wollten war das Engagement plötzlich 0, 20 min gewartet und erst auf Nachfrage kam jemand zum abkassieren.

My experience with this place was horrendous without even making it there - I reserved a table for 3 on a Saturday afternoon for the same evening (which would have been our first visit, so great first impression) and wanted to cancel because of an unexpected stomach flu (I spare you with the details) - they insisted on charging me 150€ for the "late cancellation", so I had to have several conversations on the phone with the very friendly and nice barkeeper Martin (because the manager was not willing to talk to me, I guess they are shy) until I was verbally confirmed to be fully reimbursed given the unexpected illness and the short-notice reservation. Turns out they're trying to hold 50€ in because why holding a promise? I'm sure they will find very good reasons why that's acceptable and customer-friendly behavior, the manager will say they were very busy that day and that I agreed on the cancellation fee on the website (which has now legal base) but I can only advise you to find a more customer-friendly place, there are great other restaurants in the city.

Puh - was soll ich sagen? Wir haben mal ganz blind für ein Geschäftsessen reserviert und waren von den Socken. Ceviche war eine Explosion, besser als in Peru, da habe ich mal gelebt. Bezüglich Cocktails wurden wir von dem Barkeeper ausführlich beraten. Ich träume immer noch von dem mit mezcal. Der Service war zudem sehr freundlich. Ich kann diesen Laden nur empfehlen!

Dieser Laden ist der absolute Hammer! Das Essen: sensationell, einfach ein Erlebnis von dem sich jeder selbst überzeugen muss. Der Service: wahnsinnig nett und zuvorkommend. Wir kamen erst um kurz nach 22 Uhr spontan ohne Reservierung vorbei und wurden trotzdem super herzlich empfangen und verwöhnt. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt wurden wir gedrängt zu gehen, obwohl das Restaurant eigentlich um 23.00 Uhr schließt. 10/10 Punkten für den gelungenen Abend. Top Empfehlung!

Für mich war es leider ein enttäuschender Abend. Eigentlich bin ich mit viel Hoffnung ins Tupac gegangen, um endlich wieder ein authentisches peruanisches Ceviche zu essen. Leider wurde ich dabei ziemlich enttäuscht. Ansonsten waren die Gerichte natürlich okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Wenn man 30-40 Euro für ein Gericht verlangt, dann muss man auch liefern. Und das war hier eindeutig nicht der Fall. In Berlin gibt es bessere südamerikanische Restaurants.

Seit Monaten überlegen wir, Berlin zu verlassen und dann besucht man das Tupac und weiß wieder, warum man in dieser Stadt lebt: ein Feuerwerk, ein Fest, ein Geschenk, ein Toast auf das Leben! Genuss pur, Rausch, Explosionen! Danke, danke, danke! Liebe im Mund und auf der Zunge! Ein zauberhafter Abend
