Service was great We ate at another branch the day before and there was a dessert platter. Unfortunately they aren't available here, but we got two fruit platters on the house 🫶🏻 thank you very much

The food was delicious, and the service staff was very friendly and attentive. They listened to our requests and even made suggestions or asked us how we wanted it. The food was delicious and more than sufficient. The value for money is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend it.

We were there on a Sunday. A waiter showed us to a table by the window. Suddenly, another waiter came over, furious, and told us to sit in the back of the restaurant. The first waiter, however, said we could stay. So we waited – but nothing happened. No one served us. Finally, the second waiter came back and rudely told us to go to the back. But all the tables by the window were empty. If you're not willing to make money and treat customers so badly, you only have yourself to blame. For us, the visit was over.

The restaurant offers a nice mix of authentic Mexican ambience and a tourist-friendly concept. The decoration with bright colors and Latin American music creates a lively and inviting atmosphere that is very inviting. The food was tasty, although more adapted to European tastes. The tacos and fajitas were well seasoned, but if you really like it traditional you can order a little more spice. The portions were generous, and the frozen margarita was a real highlight! The service was friendly and attentive, although it sometimes took a little longer for the food to arrive in the evening - probably because of the large crowds. The price of the restaurant is very good if you consider the location, which is within walking distance of all of Berlin's popular sights, but for the location and the experience it is still totally fair! Overall, a nice place to enjoy Mexican food in a pleasant atmosphere - perfect for tourists who want to combine a bit of holiday flair with good food!

The food was outstanding – the tacos were fresh and full of flavor . I was particularly impressed by the “Alambre”. The service was attentive and friendly, and although the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The prices are super fair! Overall a great experience! I can recommend Cancun at Alexabderplatz to anyone who wants authentic Mexican cuisine. I will definitely come back!

Had a great experience at Cancun, a Mexican restaurant! The enchiladas, burrito, and quesadilla were all fresh, warm, crispy, and full of flavor. The portion sizes were generous, decent price and the ambience was cozy and inviting. Service was warm and friendly, making the overall experience even better. Also tried their quesadilla and beer the day before, and it was just as good. Definitely a place I’d recommend for delicious Mexican food!

We were at this restaurant a little over 2 years ago and what was going on there was really below the belt. The service made us wait about 15 minutes for the drinks, then over an hour for the food, even though the large restaurant was virtually empty (maybe around 10 tables were occupied). The food was really not good and cheaply made. The worst thing at the end: We are actually always good tippers. Here, however, we explicitly decided against it because the service and quality were really terrible. There was absolutely no right to a tip here! However, the waiter simply decided that we should tip 40.00 euros on top of a bill of 180.00 euros and typed this into the card machine. After we insisted several times, he relaxed a bit and “only” wanted a total of 210.00 euros. When we didn't want to accept that either, he freaked out and insulted us. Then he reduced it to a total of 200.00 euros, which we weren't prepared to pay for either. When he consistently didn't want to change anything about it, we casually said that we could also call the police. He then called us bad people and frauds. Finally he downshifted to 190.00 euros. Actually, we were absolutely not prepared to pay this either. However, we had enough, paid and disappeared from the shed. Conclusion: Unfriendly, bad food, long waiting times, threats and insults --> absolutely not worth a visit!

Cancun signature dish is amazing!

Unfortunately, I had to realize with great horror that I had never seen a toilet in Germany that was as dirty as it was here, so I had to leave with my trade fair guests :( Not possible! We left without eating anything...

The manager (in charge) is rude to his workers, we asked the waiter to charge our cell phone, the waiter very kindly told us where to charge it, which led to having problems with the manager, who called his attention in a grotesque and humiliating way (I do not recommend this place) the politeness and the ways of saying things have to be in private without the people at the premises finding out

We went here for drinks as a large party of 16 and they charged us 50 cents extra per person for "service" without informing us before we had to pay

We were there for brunch. It wasn't very crowded. The food is good, as is the selection. However, it takes a while for it to be refilled. The service is extremely bad. You can tell the staff doesn't feel like it. You wait a long time, plates have to be stacked demonstratively on the edge of the table so that they can be cleared away. Drinks and orders are also waiting. The toilets are dirty and unhygienic.

I don't even know where to start, we were there for brunch. The brunch buffet was not very appealing, the packaged jam was expired and the chocolate pudding for dessert was sour. The waiter was conspicuous by his absence and didn't even say a word of apology when we pointed out the grievances to him. There was also no thank you for the actually undeserved tip. Not even a nightcap from the house as an excuse. So we definitely cannot and will not recommend this restaurant. The hygiene in the women's toilet was terrible.

Only racists work in this shop, because of our nationality they served us very poorly (waitress said so herself). They didn't respond to our words at all and only took drinks after an hour. It's the first time I've experienced something like this in Berlin. VERY RUDE!!!

As a former bartender, I would like to give training to the bartender at the bar. Our cocktails were totally watered down and in our opinion the alcohol was missing. We weren't allowed to sit at the counter. That's a bit strange. Leaves room for speculation. Never again!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They all speak English. I spoke to a Argentinien waiter in Spanish. He was very friendly and helpful with the menu. It was my granddaughters birthday so they made her feel very special. I am not a fan of Mexican food. I had the chicken fajita and it was great. I would go back again and raccomad to try it.

Upon entering it seemed like a busy and cozy restaurant, which persuaded us to go in. Unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We had to wait a long time before anyone spoke to us, and when the food finally arrived it was very bland and lacked flavour. In addition, the toilets were not well maintained, which did not really add to the experience. Payment was also difficult; Only after asking several times was the bill brought. Finally, it was very warm inside, which made it not comfortable at all. Too bad, because the first impression was good.

OMG my soup was terrible. I specifically asked if it was fresh and home-cooked but it was simply a powder. The service was nice and quick and the atmosphere was lively.

We were at Cancun around 8 p.m. The service was courteous and attentive. The drinks and the food was good.

Worst burger I've had in Berlin. Bun was supermarket quality, Beef patty came out of the freezer. Fries also. Onion didn't seem to be at all with super thick slices on there. Looked like one I would make at home if I'm not making an effort. Would neve have a burger there again. Please go somewhere else if you crave one! 🙏🏼

I would not recommend this to anyone. Especially because of the service, the guy in the evening taking orders and all is not respectful at all. Not sure why. I hope the owners know about this because he will not let people come again for sure.

The service was fine, even if the waiter couldn't speak a word of German. This restaurant seems to have more tourists in mind. As a Berliner, I like to be at Alex and try out the existing restaurants. The food arrived quickly and looked pretty good at first glance. The pike perch that my daughter ordered tasted very musty. It must have been thawed in the fridge for a few days before it was fried. For me the guacamole had a bite. I like making it myself and know when it's no longer good and tastes good. It's a shame, when I'm back at Alexanderplatz, I'll go somewhere else. There is enough choice.

Service ignores guests waiting forever There are more than enough employees, but they clearly cannot cope with a manageable number of guests. Toilets were an audacity. Hygiene is very important here. Tables were sticky. Cocktail was OK.

Service needs 20 minutes between each action and believes they are the cornerstone of the population and without them nothing would work. As for the ambience, no song is played and the volume is constantly changed.

We visited this restaurant shortly before Christmas with 5 people. Advance reservation was not required. We got a table for 6 people. Unfortunately, this space was quite tight for 5 people, although there was a lot of free space in the back of the restaurant, even with larger tables. Service was OK. The food was okay overall, but we've eaten better. It was very noisy in the restaurant. The toilet facilities were not particularly hygienic. Unfortunately we decided not to visit this restaurant anymore.

The meat had an unpleasantly old taste, and the rest of the dishes were disappointing in terms of taste - the only thing that dominated everything was the taste of sunflower oil. Unfortunately, the dips were also bland and without any flavors. Overall the meal was a big disappointment. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We had a company party there. The food was first class! The waiters were sensationally good and accommodating.

I had an unfortunately bad experience with the service. The main reason being the fact that I ordered a cocktail which just wasn’t of my liking which resulted in me asking (in some hope) if I could swap it, to which I received a cold “no” as an answer. That would have been fair enough if: 1. She hadn’t answered in the manner she did; 2. I wasn’t even asking her, I was asking her co-worker instead, who she pulled aside and started telling him off. This could have also been avoided if she didn’t rush me and my girlfriend to order in the first place, as she came back to our table seconds after we said we were still reading their extensive menu (good thing btw). To put the icing on the cake, when the waitress brought the bill, she left our table as soon as the payment went through in the rudest manner imaginable, without saying a word. This was a real shame as we didn’t go past the drinks and we would had probably ordered some food if not for this poor treatment. The woman was middle-eastern looking, with a piercing on her nose, late 20s/early 30s. I’m describing her the best I can so hopefully the manager can see this review and do something about it so no other costumer goes through this.

Great environment, waiting time to get serve is minimal and the food taste delicious. The portion of is quite sizable too. I intend to try every Mexican speciality on the menu. I’ll be back

We were in a large group at the Cancun restaurant. We would prefer to give 0 stars. The food was subpar, the waiter was rude and rude. The drinks were ok. When it came to paying, too many drinks were charged that were not drunk at all. Our conclusion We will never enter this restaurant again. That such behavior can still be afforded in this day and age……….

The place is beautiful, a lot of decoration from the Mayan culture. BUT IF YOU ARE MEXICAN OR LATINO DO NOT COME They have the worst food in the world, absolutely everything you order will be a big disappointment for you!

Horrible service, the menu price for a burger was 13.90 €. The waiter charged me 15€. I let it slide as it was his tip. However this is not how a restaurant should charge you. The food was cold and the waiter could not speak German or English. Some food never arrived and they still tried to charge us for it.

The food (rump steak) was okay. The meat was well done but unfortunately everything was a little bland and tasteless. The side salad is no longer the freshest. The restaurant is very large, the ambience suffers somewhat as a result. Very impersonal. It's easy to feel lost in the restaurant. The staff seemed annoyed and one got the impression that they were being dismissed. Too bad.

We have already recommended this restaurant to many friends and have been there with them before. The food tastes very good and always came quickly even when the restaurant is busy. Especially in summer it's fun to sit outside in front of the TV tower and for the location the price is like any other restaurant (we paid €100 for 4 people with drinks and an appetizer). The service was okay you had to draw attention to yourself if you want something, but the interaction was polite and we have never experienced the staff being annoyed. The restaurant is always clean, the only point is the toilets, the doors are smeared but the toilets and sinks are clean. Whenever we are in Berlin it is a really nice restaurant where we always like to go.
