Cancún in Berlin

I would not recommend this to anyone. Especially because of the service, the guy in the evening taking orders and all is not respectful at all. Not sure why. I hope the owners know about this because he will not let people come again for sure.

Service ignores guests waiting forever There are more than enough employees, but they clearly cannot cope with a manageable number of guests. Toilets were an audacity. Hygiene is very important here. Tables were sticky. Cocktail was OK.

Service needs 20 minutes between each action and believes they are the cornerstone of the population and without them nothing would work. As for the ambience, no song is played and the volume is constantly changed.

We visited this restaurant shortly before Christmas with 5 people. Advance reservation was not required. We got a table for 6 people. Unfortunately, this space was quite tight for 5 people, although there was a lot of free space in the back of the restaurant, even with larger tables. Service was OK. The food was okay overall, but we've eaten better. It was very noisy in the restaurant. The toilet facilities were not particularly hygienic. Unfortunately we decided not to visit this restaurant anymore.

The meat had an unpleasantly old taste, and the rest of the dishes were disappointing in terms of taste - the only thing that dominated everything was the taste of sunflower oil. Unfortunately, the dips were also bland and without any flavors. Overall the meal was a big disappointment. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I had an unfortunately bad experience with the service. The main reason being the fact that I ordered a cocktail which just wasn’t of my liking which resulted in me asking (in some hope) if I could swap it, to which I received a cold “no” as an answer. That would have been fair enough if: 1. She hadn’t answered in the manner she did; 2. I wasn’t even asking her, I was asking her co-worker instead, who she pulled aside and started telling him off. This could have also been avoided if she didn’t rush me and my girlfriend to order in the first place, as she came back to our table seconds after we said we were still reading their extensive menu (good thing btw). To put the icing on the cake, when the waitress brought the bill, she left our table as soon as the payment went through in the rudest manner imaginable, without saying a word. This was a real shame as we didn’t go past the drinks and we would had probably ordered some food if not for this poor treatment. The woman was middle-eastern looking, with a piercing on her nose, late 20s/early 30s. I’m describing her the best I can so hopefully the manager can see this review and do something about it so no other costumer goes through this.

We had a company party there. The food was first class! The waiters were sensationally good and accommodating.

Great environment, waiting time to get serve is minimal and the food taste delicious. The portion of is quite sizable too. I intend to try every Mexican speciality on the menu. I’ll be back

The food lacks a touch of chili, if we talk about the cocktails they are true delights for the palate, excellent.

We were in a large group at the Cancun restaurant. We would prefer to give 0 stars. The food was subpar, the waiter was rude and rude. The drinks were ok. When it came to paying, too many drinks were charged that were not drunk at all. Our conclusion We will never enter this restaurant again. That such behavior can still be afforded in this day and age……….

The place is beautiful, a lot of decoration from the Mayan culture. BUT IF YOU ARE MEXICAN OR LATINO DO NOT COME They have the worst food in the world, absolutely everything you order will be a big disappointment for you!

Horrible service, the menu price for a burger was 13.90 €. The waiter charged me 15€. I let it slide as it was his tip. However this is not how a restaurant should charge you. The food was cold and the waiter could not speak German or English. Some food never arrived and they still tried to charge us for it.

We have already recommended this restaurant to many friends and have been there with them before. The food tastes very good and always came quickly even when the restaurant is busy. Especially in summer it's fun to sit outside in front of the TV tower and for the location the price is like any other restaurant (we paid €100 for 4 people with drinks and an appetizer). The service was okay you had to draw attention to yourself if you want something, but the interaction was polite and we have never experienced the staff being annoyed. The restaurant is always clean, the only point is the toilets, the doors are smeared but the toilets and sinks are clean. Whenever we are in Berlin it is a really nice restaurant where we always like to go.

The food (rump steak) was okay. The meat was well done but unfortunately everything was a little bland and tasteless. The side salad is no longer the freshest. The restaurant is very large, the ambience suffers somewhat as a result. Very impersonal. It's easy to feel lost in the restaurant. The staff seemed annoyed and one got the impression that they were being dismissed. Too bad.

We were there for dinner on New Year's Eve. Crowded and loud, but entertaining, not disruptive. Toilets were a bit overloaded that evening in terms of cleanliness. The food was delicious and arrived at the table quickly thanks to the small “New Year’s Eve menu”. Afterwards a few delicious cocktails + tequila 🥳

We waited for a long time and repeatedly asked the servers to take our orders, but they kept telling us we had to wait. Eventually, we ordered drinks and waited for an extended period, but only one of our orders arrived. After waiting even longer, we decided to leave. However, the server refused to accept payment for the single drink we had received and insisted that we pay for all of our orders. We waited again for the remaining items, and when the server finally approached our table, he touched one of our female companions and began arguing with her when she reacted to his inappropriate gesture. The service was absolutely terrible.

Our reservation was not made and the staff was completely overwhelmed. This happens sometimes... While at our table the driest Christmas party in history sought attention from any waitress, several birthdays were being celebrated around us. So Ea was loud and dreary. The food and portions were okay. Our impressions of this were also different. My advice to the management: when assigning tables, YOUR service MUST be introduced to the guests. “Another colleague is coming soon” who-knows-how-often is actually an invitation for me to leave. (Note: we were a colorful group of 12 people, neatly dressed and smelled good too.)

I'm used to something different in Cancun. The restaurant is getting really old, which is particularly evident in the toilets. The food was ok, the service was ok. For me as a vegetarian there is not much choice.

Burritos and Quesadillas not bad at all. However the burgers were disappointing. The service was quite complicated because they did not speak English, it was difficult to be understood. Very spacious restaurant. A bit high price for what it is. Clean sanitary facilities.

Another Mexican restaurant that I can highly recommend, good prices, large portions and very nice service staff, I was so sorry that the service staff paid more attention to the rowdy homeless man and solved it confidently. I'll definitely be back.

Great food, friendly, worth a visit

We were there for brunch this Sunday and unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The service was not only unfriendly, but also completely disinterested. The waiter who welcomed us didn't come to see us once during our entire stay. When I wanted to order another drink I had to call another waitress. However, she was on a video call, saw us and completely ignored us. She continued her call and never came to us. After a long wait, we finally had to get up ourselves to pay. No apology, no bill - instead we were told to come back at 12:30 to receive this. This was by far the worst service we have ever experienced. We are definitely never coming back!

We had the opportunity to have dinner there yesterday with friends, I leave a lot to be desired, the food is of very poor quality, everything is drowned in deep oil, Even though we ordered different dishes, all three looked the same, the tortilla pancakes were the cheapest you can find on the market, the hamburgers were not great, the buns were stale, the cheeseburger was just a piece of cheese pulled out of the foil, so cold that even the cheese didn't melt, the staff couldn't do anything to them accuse, Me and my friends won't go there to eat there anymore.

I am writing this review to confirm what has also been read in other comments, i.e. that you are "forced" to pay a tip of 5-20% and you have to choose to pay by card! ... don't let yourself be taken for a ride and tell them clearly ZERO if you don't want to pay anything (even if I had to say that several times) I've never experienced anything like that before The intended cash tip quickly went back into my wallet PS: The food wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't good at all either

Very noisy and chaotic place. The waiters were fighting among themselves, a client argued with the waiters because of the delay, the waiters' treatment of customers is quite pitiful, the food was mediocre, the toilets were mostly clogged, it was quite disgusting to enter. After all this, they forced us to leave 5% to be able to pay, the tip is something that I don't mind paying if I really consider that they deserve it, but being forced is another issue and even more so when the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Food was okay, a bit lukewarm. The ambience was also okay, the store was also full. The restroom locations were a mess, containers overflowed, sinks and fittings were floating, tiles were dirty, operating supplies were partly missing and urinals were full to overflowing. A good restaurant will also have staff for these areas. Not recommended!!!

We waited for one hour and a half for the worse food in the world, the service is bad and unkind and the place in general is loud you can’t even hear your mind. Make yourself a favor and dot visit this place. 🫶🏼

They gave us dinner very late, which was appreciated. The nachos and the scandalous burrito are very delicious!! They treated us very well and quickly, and we had a good time

Yesterday evening (07.12.24) my friend and I were in your restaurant around 7:30 p.m., but unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. We had to wait a total of 1.5 hours for the starter and then another 45 minutes for the main course. The food was of poor quality and was served cold. The unprofessional service was particularly unpleasant: a table next to us with four young men was completely ignored despite repeated attempts to get the waiter's attention, so they left after 45 minutes of doing nothing. Such disrespectful behavior and lack of organization ruined our evening. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Went there yesterday and just had a drink. Mojito, there was only alcohol in it but it was so strong that you couldn't drink it. So I went to the bartender and complained. He added cane sugar and some syrup 😩😩😩 so he had no idea at all. The Cuba Libre afterwards was a bit more relaxed but... well I know that there are better bars/bartenders in Berlin, but no there

DO NOT GO HERE! The food was mediocre at best, but when I made a complaint that there was an ingredient that I’m allergic to in the burrito, that was clearly not listed on the menu, I was met with swift and rude pushback from the manager. He was so rude and said in German that, “ja bohnen” which means “beans,” not peas. He made a huge stink about it and after me arguing my point he finally gave in, removed the burrito (which I had only eaten about 10% of) from my bill and then deducted it from my waitresses pay because somehow she was responsible for the way it was made (idiotic). The burrito was delivered to the kitchen correctly. The most disturbing part was when I returned 3-4 days later to speak to the ultimate boss. I was standing the whole time near the edge of the street away from the restaurant so that I wasn’t intruding and hindering pedestrians from passing between myself and the restaurant. I politely asked to see the boss, and after about 10 minutes I flagged the waiter that I originally asked and pointed to the guy that I knew was A manager (he was the one giving me issues) and asked for his boss. This guy was talking to a few of his friends standing about 6 feet from me and a few minutes later I was surrounded by three men asking me why I was there, what I was doing, why I wanted to make a complaint, etc. It was complete mob mentality and intimidation. I’m not a tough guy nor am I a wimp, but I felt scared. I raised my voice and told them to keep their distance so that all of the outside diners could hear so that nothing violent happened. After about 20-30 seconds of this they finally went away and funny enough another American flashed his Big 12 T-shirt as a means to tell me that there are others here that will help you. After the guys backed off I went to speak to the Americans and they said they had my back. I don’t think I’ve ever had an incident like this before that was such a clear cut means of intimidation. The food wasn’t great, management clearly doesn’t take complaints well, and as anyone that hasn’t been here before I would avoid it at all costs!

We were there for dinner on November 30th. We had to wait forever for the waitress to take our order. 2 He only wrote down our order after we asked. The main courses (taco and chili concane) came first, but without spoons. Starters arrived 5 minutes later and drinks at the end. When you reordered you were ignored three times by the waitress. No response to the repeat order. The icing on the cake is that we left the store with a stomach ache and nausea. We paid 66.60 for that. When we didn't leave a tip due to the poor service, the waiter reacted annoyed. We do not recommend the restaurant.

I've been sitting here for 15 minutes and I've been consistently ignored and can't even order drinks. So you either have to revise the organization here or hire better service staff. A music system that is so bad that my grandfather got up from his wheelchair to turn off the music. ♡ But the location is actually quite good, but personally I would like a strip club better.

Large room which, according to the sign, should serve cocktails. Noisy, sterile premises. I was just supposed to have some drinks, but struggled to get in touch with the staff. Had to literally "throw us over" someone who was passing by. The staff were shouting to each other and running and rushing around. They all appeared to dislike their jobs and looked sullen when they weren't shouting. The drinks were absolutely average - would NEVER choose to visit this place again

This restaurant turned down to be much better than expected and much better than the average ratings are: the portions were big and the food tasted also surprisingly very good. I understand that some of the food quality reviews may depend on the type of food that was ordered, but we personally enjoyed food and drinks. We ordered 25 as appetitive and burritos as main dish. Hope this review helps. Toilets are a bit seared off and dirty but this is Berlin 😅

Music too loud, way too crowded, no service after 15 minutes even after asking several times I'm not coming back

Very loud in the store. After 30 minutes still no waiter came to order drinks. We waited over 50 minutes for the first drink while the waiters mostly just stood around.

We were just there for a drink today. We can't rate the food. The service was very friendly. Atmosphere appealing. The size of the restaurant is certainly a matter of taste. There are deductions regarding the cleanliness of the toilets - unfortunately poor.

The waiter himself was nice, the order was placed (Cancun Burger number 100), the food came quite quickly. What can I say? The meat smelled very unpleasant and tasted very unpleasant. I complained about the burger and received a new one where the smell was even more intense. I talked to the boss and he explained to me that he sells 100 burgers a day and I'm the only one who doesn't like it. I shouldn't be like that. The party would be from the metro and that's what it smells like. You couldn't be more unfriendly towards a customer. Then I ordered the baked potato with chilli con carne as an alternative and only received chilli con carne. The food was subpar, the burger consisted of two cold burger bun halves, the two pieces of meat were half cold and a lettuce leaf. Conclusion: The worst thing I've ever had on my plate! The sanitary facilities are like a train station toilet! Here too. Bet SIX! As we know, you can argue about music, but the unspeakable constant sound of the same song was more than NERV KILLING! Overall conclusion: SIX minus, bet!

Despite very little traffic, waiting time for a meal is very long. They don't provide any chocolates. And at the end the lady asked about tipping. Food tastes OK, but cold.

I don't like music very much since we are Latin. The food is good and in quantity, the prices are normal and the place is very nice. On our visit we did not have any waiters who spoke Spanish, although it was not a problem. I would recommend it

Unfortunately the visit on November 23rd, 2024 was not a success at all. There were four of us and we had to wait more than 1.75 hours for our food. We only got that because we complained and wanted to leave. They tried to convince us that it should be quick and so the food was very bland and just absolutely average. It really wasn't worth it. The great thing was that we then had a hard discussion about why we didn't want to give a tip. For what? Visiting the toilet was also shameful, simple cleanliness would have been more than helpful here. We'll probably never go there again. No recommendation at all.

We were invited to a birthday today on November 23rd, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in Cancun at Alexanderplatz (Berlin). We were there at around 6:30 p.m. to make preparations for the birthday. After the boss himself took care of finding our reservation (24 guests plus or minus 2, recorded with the wrong name) after several attempts, which took 15 minutes, a Kelllener named Verdo/Ferdo registered as our contact person . We told him we were just the guests, the main character was coming soon! He introduced himself to her later. Then the chaos began...there was another table off to the side with over 25 people, which, among other things, was served by the aforementioned waiter. My girlfriend and I immediately ordered a salad and 2 cocktails because we realized it was busy and it would take time (we both have over 15 years of gastro experience). The drinks arrived...later the salad...our other guests arrived, we told everyone to order straight away as it would take a while. We order our next 2 cocktails... after they finally arrived after repeated requests (after about 1 hour) after the orders that had been made after us, we immediately ordered the 3rd round with 2 other cocktails!!! Again after other orders were taken after us, which had already been delivered and we had already waited for over 40 minutes, our (wrong drinks!!!) arrived!!! Now for the "short version": When asked about the wrong drinks, the waiter said "Vallah, I'm not stupid, I asked". After we finally received the 2, after we asked which drinks (from the 2nd round) they were, he showed us the receipt from the 2nd round. He even served the 3 wrong rounds incorrectly...the 3rd round had already been ordered when the 2nd round arrived!!! In the end it was said that the third round was on the house after we had to constantly argue that they were the wrong drinks....they weren't drunk and we went to the checkout where we were asked beforehand where we could pay with a stroppy answer: hab I said twice at the checkout at the front, he came AGAIN UNPROMPTED and said that if we want to pay at the checkout at the front, we should come when we have time have?!?!?!?!?!? At the checkout they said the drinks weren't on the house, he wasn't paying for them out of his own pocket, the others were paying for them and then he didn't give a damn. (I don't need to mention that the other people of us who came last ordered their food straight after others had already been served and always didn't receive their food) Vallah, I'm not stupid many times. Then I let him finish at his request, he then didn't listen to my side at all and defended himself vehemently and interrupted me with stupid statements. Then the waiter ran and spoke to our birthday boy, which confirmed what we said! Then he said something like, "I should drink 2 drinks instead of 3 because I'm too drunk."...In the end it was something like "I don't want to talk to you when you're back here." I paid our bill and he didn't even want a tip, I said ok I'll get 10 cents back, he threw me the 1 € (0.90 was his 0.10 cents my change) and stomped off.....He was concerned more than overwhelmed, which he also told me several times, I don't have to mention in poor German (I'm sweating, you see, I have a lot to do), such people should never work in services with other people. The waiter Verdo/Ferdo was unfriendly, rude, disgusting and just plain bad. Sure Saturday, full hut, but that's not possible at all. I told the boss as feedback...I'm 99% sure nothing will change. I've been working in the catering industry for 17 years, I'm a foreigner myself, in case someone throws out the club of racism.

Very very loud!!! And if you like food that is sometimes very fatty and oily, you've come to the right place. Luckily there are other stores from this chain in Berlin that are much better!

Visit December 2023: Order was taken by a waitress, in English, as she didn't speak German. No problem for us. She walked away. 2 minutes later a waiter came and we had to order again because the waitress hadn't remembered everything. Food was ok. Drinks were first brought incorrectly and then it took a very long time. I only recommend the restaurant on Mehringdamm…. Went there again today November 23rd, 2024. No food received after 1.5 hours. We wanted to leave without paying for food (which we didn't receive). Keller became cheeky. If we had been there with men they wouldn't have been able to get so loud. Never again.

I was there on a Saturday evening (6 p.m.) and we were celebrating a birthday. The women's toilets were not clean, there was a strong unpleasant smell, the soap was empty and the towel holder was broken and was barely hanging on the wall by a thread. We waited up to 15 minutes for some drink orders. The food wasn't really hot and didn't taste good. The drinks were okay, but because the table wasn't really clean and just stood there carelessly - my conclusion is that I won't go there again.

Well...actually OK if you exclude the service ....food mediocre..... Gets upset when.you don't tip....asks why.you are in Berlin, because you haven't tipped, even though service was terrible.... Replied, grandfather lived in berlin till he was sent to DIE in a concentration camp..... Was that enough of a reason to be in Berlin????
