Touristy Mexican place in town, 1 dish out of 5 dishes were good,not authentic. We went there with a group. The prices are decent

We went there spontaneously today. The waiters were incredibly friendly, not pushy, but very attentive nonetheless. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We'll definitely be back.

I only had drinks, so I can't comment on the food. The atmosphere is okay, but the music was quite loud, which was simply annoying. Prices are more than reasonable for Berlin Mitte.

Sorry… but this is a disaster, the service is terrible, not only did the waiter (he) not come to take the order for a long time, we already wanted to leave, but we just wanted to eat, we ordered two teas, they brought a bowl and a spoon that were just dirty, I didn't have time to brew this tea yet, we ordered two steaks 🥩 it's hard to call them steaks. It wasn't tasty. We ordered two Coke cola, they brought it for 10 minutes 😂 I don't recommend this place, avoid it. This restaurant needs a lot of effort and training to provide good service, try as soon as possible so that you have more customers. I don't understand why when you ask to bring the bill?! So the waiter just came and said what's the cost, excuse me but I need to see the check first to know what I have to pay for?! This is a complete trend, not only did he not bring the check to the table, but told me to go to the cashier and pay it myself (so they didn't give me the check) 🧐 skarbówka is crying for you. I STRONGLY AVOID THIS PLACE. We paid 58 euros for 2 steaks, 2 teas and 2 coca cola. 💶

The staff were very friendly and helpful, however, it was far too loud overall – especially when birthday songs were played over the sound system. The sound system itself is unfortunately a disaster and desperately needs replacing. The cocktails were also underwhelming; the Moscow Mule, in particular, was disappointing. There is definitely room for improvement here.

A restaurant very popular with groups and a mixed crowd of all ages. The ambiance is truly appealing – stylish design and great background music. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The service is inattentive and makes numerous mistakes. We were there with a large group and had to wait a very long time for our food. One colleague was even completely forgotten and only received her dish after another long wait. I ordered the "California Summer" pasta – unfortunately, a real disappointment: the pasta was completely overcooked, and the vegetables were tasteless. It's clear that they prioritize cheap ingredients over quality. The Cancun appetizer platter was okay, but nothing special. The restrooms are an absolute no-go: dirty and neglected, more reminiscent of a public toilet in an abandoned train station. My conclusion: A visit is definitely not worth it.

The cocktails are delicious. The nachos with melted cheese are a bit pricey, but quite tasty. The avocado cream has a lot of garlic. We were here on Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation. It was very busy and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they were always helpful and very friendly.

Expensive but average food. The worst service I have ever experienced. Why? We come in group of four people. the service was completely oblivious, we first ordered beers that were brought in spin glasses. After that, they brought us three glasses of mineral water, so I drank from the bottle. Two main dishes followed, but instead they brought us an appetizer and one main dish. It was a huge meal for two. Of course, they brought us only 3 plates. There were some semi-finished products in the food, but of course also tasty things. Well, for 40 euros, I think it was grossly overpriced. The final fail was when I wanted to leave waiter only 3e for the completely horrible service that ruined our whole day and he started arguing with me that I have to leave 10% of the price. I was paying 100eur and want mack 10e, waiter do what he want and give me back 3e with an arrogant smile on his face. I recommend avoiding the restaurant. The only positive is the interesting interior.

We were there spontaneously in the evening, and the place was packed. We managed to get a seat without a reservation, but the noise level was very loud.

That was good. But with the number of guests, you can tell it's just hectic, and everything suffers as a result. No clean tables, a cleaning lady who was supposed to clean the restrooms... we were asked to pay in cash, while the tables around us were paying by card. The waitress didn't know what she was serving, couldn't communicate, and to top it all off, we were simply overcharged for 50% of our table. The atmosphere was quite chic, but simply geared towards the masses, far too loud, and cleanliness was simply nonexistent.

Rarely have I eaten such good Mexican food outside of Mexico.

The food arrived lukewarm, and both steaks had gristle! The restrooms were also filthy.

The worst cocktail I've ever had.

The food is really expensive and not tasty at all. (We got tacos and fajitas) The cocktails were ok. With the same amount you can find muuuch better places in Berlin center. It is obviously just made for tourists.

The service was uninspired and unfriendly. The food arrived after two minutes, was sometimes cold, and didn't match the menu. Everything seemed cheap and tasted that way, too. The menus looked like they had been freshly fished out of the Spree.

A purely tourist restaurant with mass processing... a disaster!!!! The tables were sticky because they weren't cleaned after the last guest. The waitress finally came to the table after half an hour and said that the food would take 1-1.5 hours if ordered. When the food arrived, it didn't look appetizing, and my companion vomited after 3 bites because it was so bad. The beans looked like vomit, and the rice was so hard, like it had been sitting on the plate for days. My salad with rump steak strips wasn't good either!! The avocado described came as a sour cream, and the rump steak strips were as hard as a shoe sole... We communicated this openly and honestly with the waitress, but they dismissed it with a "sorry, I can't change it now" and a "you could have said something earlier, then they could have replaced it." We ended up having to pay the full price, even though we hadn't even eaten half of it and the situation was known. 🤮 Simply inappropriate and disgusting!

The food was okay. We waited about an hour for our food, and we ordered a platter for two people (meat, chicken, salad, potatoes, rice, and sauces). 😇😇 It was okay.

Very bad experience. Extremely poor service from ALL the waiters, dirty tables, dirty glasses, and they charged us €53 for five beers. Robbery and poor treatment.

Terrible, rude, bathrooms with the floor covered in pee, they try to scam you, in conclusion, don't come here because the place is terrible.

I came here today on a recommendation and was unfortunately completely disappointed. The restaurant was very busy; no one was really interested in my reservation; everyone had to wait. Okay, it wasn't nice, but we're not going to let it get us down that easily. The waitress was nice and brought us the menu and drinks relatively quickly. When ordering our food, we were told to allow 40 minutes – no problem. We asked for the first time after an hour, and the second time after 1.5 hours. After 2 hours, we paid for our drinks and left. The waitress apologized, but the manager didn't respond.

If you want convenience, go somewhere else. We arrived during the evening rush but were willing to wait. But in the end it wasn’t worth it. It took 20 mins to get seated another 30 to give our order, 30+ to get our drinks and at least 45 more before our food arrived. Not to mention the other tables that were seated after us got their orders before we got ours. The staff was friendly though, albeit chaotic - there doesn’t seem to be an effective system for taking and delivering orders. And the kitchen is beyond slow. Plates seemed to come out two at a time every ten mins - in a restaurant with over 40 diners. And to top it off - the back of the restaurant was empty even though when we arrived we were told it was full… just a weird and frustrating experience.

After waiting 2.5 hours for the food, we demanded the bill. Then we were questioned as to whether we really wanted to leave without eating, and we came up with many far-fetched reasons, hows, whys, and whys. Many guests, including us, left the restaurant dissatisfied. At the next table, guests even waited over three hours. It's completely understandable that you might have to wait longer for your food on a Saturday night, but this is a real imposition. On top of that, the music was so incredibly loud that you couldn't even have a proper conversation. That was the last time...

The restaurant is very large, yet the tables are very close together, especially in the front area. The noise level is very loud. The staff is friendly, but also overwhelmed. If you're looking for good Mexican food, this is the wrong place. You'll get full, but that's about it.

They have about 10 waitresses and not many customers. First, no waiter came for 10 minutes. Then theh misunderstood my order and then they brought it late. So, yeah not coming again

Food was great. We just stumbled across this place when wandering back from Alexanderplatz. It's massive but good service and great tasting food and cocktails.

The food was quite tasty, but I would have expected spicier food from a Mexican restaurant.

The cocktails were terribly watered down, there was almost no alcohol, and the Aperol was basically orange juice. The Irish coffee and whiskey didn't even have a taste, let alone a proof, and they even forgot to bring my wife an apple strudel.

It was so delicious that there was no time to take photos. We were there at lunchtime, so there was a free seat. The waiters were very nice and polite. I'll definitely go there again.

It's a variation of a "Mexican" food that I call appromation. In my fajitas, chicken and beef were ok but shrimp came from a can not the ocean. Guacamole was ok but no pico de gallo. There was some salsa insted. Onions and peppers were slightly undercooked and the "homemade" hot sauce tasted like a mild buffalo wing sauce. As I was trying ethnic foods in Berlin, this gets only 3 stars, and probably be okay with people who had never been to Mexico and never tried the real food

The food and drinks were mediocre. It looks Mexican, but in my opinion, it isn't. The service was better than the food. Prices are expensive compared to the quality. Typical tourist spot on Alex. Unfortunately, I wouldn't visit again.

The food was delicious and plentiful. But the staff seemed completely out of sorts at almost every table. Orders were forgotten and mixed up with those from other tables. The staff often didn't know who was getting what at which table—and this continued throughout the entire evening. The music outside was also really loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. We asked at least three times for it to be turned down a bit—unfortunately, no luck...

Five of us went out to dinner on Saturday. Two people ordered steak No. 60, but unfortunately, the steak was of very poor quality! It was heavily laced with tendons, making it a little unpleasant to eat! The other dishes were fine. The waitress, a woman, was very attentive and friendly.

A fairly large restaurant on Alex. The service is quick and polite. The food is delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised that they also offered a fairly large selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. I just found them a bit pricey... Overall, I found the ambiance very pleasant and would return and recommend the place.

I'm very disappointed about the food, it is awful. It is not close to mexican cuisine. The staff is kind and the drinks are ok.

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere

We went to a restaurant with friends yesterday and we all ordered the No. 60. Unfortunately, we felt very unwell shortly afterward, and especially the next day – everyone had severe stomach and abdominal pain. Very disappointing; something like this shouldn't happen. For us, that means: NEVER AGAIN!

Quality of the food was so-so, service was not so good

My experience at this restaurant/bar was very disappointing. The drinks did not taste as expected, and service was slow — even when we tried to get the staff’s attention, they often did not come to the table. During our visit, we realized after leaving that a paper bag with some personal items (including lighters) had been left behind. When we returned shortly afterward, not all of the items could be located. I felt the staff were not willing to assist us in resolving the matter, and the interaction with the management became tense and unpleasant. Additionally, there appeared to be no checks for vaccination passes during our visit, which concerned me given the COVID-19 situation at the time. Overall, I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

The food here is truly fantastic. We always like the chicken fajitas, but everything else we've tried so far is also very good. The shop has a wide selection of dishes and drinks. They also offer brunch. There's plenty of space, and you can even sit outside with a view of Alexanderplatz. The only drawback is the service, who—at least in this branch—sometimes seem a bit listless and annoyed.

Its a very nice bar/restaurant.. the service is nice, the mood is always good, i love the outdoor seating in summer. I have been to the Alexanderplatz branch many times and its always good. The spot is central. Easy access to transportation.

I went to Cancun at Alexanderplatz and was completely satisfied! The food was delicious, especially the burrito platter, which was plentiful and beautifully presented. The nachos as an appetizer were hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. 😋 The service was attentive, friendly, and very fast, making you feel right at home. 👌 The ambiance was also harmonious, colorful, cozy, and in keeping with the Mexican flair. 🌮🍹 I gave the food a small point deduction, as the flavor could have been a bit more intense, but overall, it was a successful visit. I'd love to come back!

I had to pay for a cocktail that contained spoiled milk . And it was so humiliating to speak to the administrator, who insisted I should order a different cocktail even though my mood was already ruined or pay for a cocktail which I couldn’t drink. I don't recommend this place

The worst Moscow Mule ever. Carelessly concoction, without ice in a mundane glass. The picture says it all. My friend's cocktail wasn't good either. My drink wasn't worth €9. Too bad, considering the location.

The food arrived cold and was then brazenly heated in the microwave. The fries were then of course hard as stone... and the waiter was simply overwhelmed.

The service was excellent; the usher was of the opinion that even a 2-meter-tall person could comfortably sit in the tightest corner of the restaurant. Luckily, the waitress agreed with us, and we were able to move our seats. The food was okay. However, I find it cheeky to use a frozen Kaiser vegetable mix for a burrito with vegetables.

Terrible food. I had the vegetarian quesadilla and was very disappointed. The frozen vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots) weren't even salted, there was no sauce, and I was desperately searching for the cheese. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The server was very friendly, though!

We were at Cancun on Alexanderplatz with a group of 16 people – and it was a perfect experience. The service was fast, super friendly, and well-organized, despite the group size. From appetizers to main courses, everyone was completely satisfied. A particularly positive aspect: Despite our large group, other guests also had their peace and quiet – which speaks to the good room layout and relaxed atmosphere. Cancun is therefore not only ideal for groups, but also for anyone who simply wants to eat well in peace. Five stars from us – absolutely deserved!

However, a colleague smoked outside, then wiped his hand across the wet table (it had been raining), then touched his face and scratched his neck, and immediately brought us our cutlery without washing his hands. My visit to Cancún was a complete disappointment. The cocktails are bad enough: watered-down, cheap, and completely flavorless. But the "strawberry shake" was the highlight – it was just cold milk, not a hint of strawberry, nothing fresh, nothing real. A disgrace! The hygiene was even worse: the waiters looked unkempt, with dirty hands and dirty clothes. A sight like that immediately puts you out of appetite – and thirst, too. For that price, I expect clean glasses, fresh ingredients, and staff who at least look clean. At Cancún, instead, you get adulterated drinks, milk instead of shakes, and a questionable environment. I can only advise everyone: Save your money and go somewhere else. Never again Cancún!

I went to Cancún and I totally regret it. The cocktails there are simply a disaster: watered-down, tasteless, and obviously made with the cheapest ingredients. Any cheap cocktail from the supermarket is more honest than this. The shakes are just as bad – artificial, overly sweet, and taste like they came straight from a cheap powder packet. Fresh fruit? None! On top of that, the prices are completely exorbitant. It's a disgrace for such lousy service and these drinks. I can only advise everyone not to go to Cancún. Once and never again!

The Cancun at Alex isn't just for tourists. The ambiance is perfect, the staff is friendly, and the cocktails are excellent. Not cheap, but reasonably priced. If you're looking for a nice evening, this is the place to be.

I've never seen such friendly staff in a restaurant as in this one. Our server was Samir. He was so attentive and friendly, I felt really comfortable. The cocktails were also incredibly delicious, and they have a very good selection.

We recently visited Cancun at Alexanderplatz, and unfortunately, our visit was rather disappointing. The cocktail menu was confusing – the Caipirinha I ordered turned out to be a berry version, which was neither obvious nor intended. The return was only reluctantly accepted, accompanied by an unwelcoming, almost didactic speech from the staff. When the classic Caipirinha arrived, it was unfortunately also disappointing: The glass was almost entirely filled with ice – I poked around with the straw, searching for some liquid, but there was little more than ice, a mint leaf, and some sugar. There was hardly any sign of a cocktail. Overall, the whole experience felt artificial and unwelcoming – the friendliness was rather fake, the service impersonal. For a place that presents itself with a Latin American flair, it just didn't fit. It's a shame, because the place actually has potential.
