Cancún in Berlin

Cocktails weren't recommended. Generally: Mass processing. Okay for larger groups, but nothing more.

Right next to the TV tower, delicious cassava, delicious drinks, and a super friendly waiter. We had a lovely evening there.

A Mexican restaurant where the food comes quickly and the cocktails are delicious! Always worth a visit, right next to the Alexanderplatz and TV tower.

The ambiance was the best part. All of our food was cold. The staff chose the side dishes themselves and didn't take guests' requests into account. We had to order drinks twice because they were forgotten the first time. The restrooms smell and are unhygienic.

The ambiance was the best of all. Everyone's food was cold, drink orders were forgotten, and the restrooms were stinking and filthy. Side orders weren't asked for; the waitress simply chose them herself. A real shame.

Very nice, large restaurant. Unfortunately, the service wasn't quite up to scratch. I had to wait a long time to pay. Then the machine wouldn't accept my smartphone, so I had to dig out my wallet. The machine also wouldn't accept my plastic card when I put it down. Only when I inserted the card could I complete the transaction. The food wasn't bad, but I expect a lot more pizzazz from a Mexican restaurant.

I really liked it. Great location right on Alexanderplatz, but the prices were good. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.

This was such a disappointment. The staff is friendly but the food OMG… not recommended if you are not a local. It seems to be adapted for local because it is horrible food for a Mexican. Don’t get me wrong, the food is edible but it is not Latin/mexican. The place was empty so can’t really tell the vibe.

The food was unfortunately disappointing overall. The potatoes were particularly disappointing – they tasted stale, as if they weren't freshly prepared or had been sitting for a while. The overall flavor of the dish was therefore not convincing. It's a shame, because I expected more. The restrooms were also not clean, which had a very negative impact on the overall impression of the restaurant. Cleanliness should be a given in a restaurant setting. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

We sat outside. The restaurant is very large. The food was OK. My son was happy. I just had a baked potato with dip, cheese, and salad. You can't go wrong with that. Service was very fast. I was a bit confused when it came to paying. Everyone around us could pay with a card, but we only accepted cash. It was strange.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit – poor service At first, we still had hope, as a very friendly waiter greeted us warmly and showed us where to sit. Unfortunately, that was the only positive moment. A waiter, apparently of Indian background, barely understood our order – leading to misunderstandings that unfortunately weren't handled professionally. In the end, we were even asked in all seriousness if we could pay in cash, even though we had clearly stated that we wanted to pay with a debit card. This seemed not only disorganized but also rude. Overall, a disappointing visit, one we certainly won't repeat.

The restaurant is located not far from the Berlin TV Tower. It has a huge internal room and many tables outside. The food was good but nothing exciting, the prices are slightly high compared to the quality of the food. The service was good although given the low turnout when we went, honestly a little slow.

WARNING WARNING WARNING We ordered fajitas and I sent them back, they were disgusting rubber chicken. The manager was strange and told me I wasn’t eating there? Lol Then I went home and threw up. Please avoid this place

I was there for dinner with my family in the second week of April 2025. The food and everything was fine, but the waiter was truly clueless. He told us straight away that they don't accept card payments outside? Do you have to pay in cash? When I went inside to pay and wanted to pay with a card, he came up to me and said I had to leave a tip... HAVE TO? I've worked in the restaurant industry for a while, nationwide, but I've never seen or expected such behavior. When I mentioned it to my colleagues, they weren't so surprised and overlooked the mistake, even citing 2% for the kitchen as the reason, which is perfectly fine, but if you offer good service from the start and don't give guests that feeling, then they won't think twice about leaving money. Training staff is important; we are guests and nothing else. Never again........

I was there with a few colleagues and got a table without a reservation, all well and good, but it took 20 minutes before we were allowed to order drinks, which came in rations after a long time. Food came very staggered, 2 meals not at all. Only after asking twice were we informed that they had been forgotten. 2 people sat without food for 1 hour while the others ate. When you asked the “boss” about it, he said there was nothing you could do about it and you had to accept it. Suggested rating the store to get a shot... The service itself was very sweet and attentive but the rest was a disaster

I haven’t had such a great vacation for a long time. The food is excellent, wonderful cocktails.. and the price for 3 people is just super 120. WE HAD A REST. THANK YOU.

Our order was taken quickly and the staff was friendly and committed. The visit to Cancún was good. We had to ask for the bill several times, even though the restaurant wasn't that busy at the time.

The waiter Samir was particularly accommodating. Always friendly and constantly asking if everything was OK or if anything was needed. We'd love to come back

There is a large and plentiful selection of delicious food and various drinks, the atmosphere is really nice and cozy. Pleasant music volume and great service. In the afternoon we would like to thank Samir for the great service, he was always very friendly and attentive.

Service, only the one gentleman who probably hadn't worked there that long, was very attentive and nice. No smiles from the others, the warmth was missing. On the subject of food, a plate has a crack, ok...but 9, you don't bring that to the customer, you want to be careful about that. Whether the salad is still fresh...and there are no cucumbers on the plate that are no longer good. That was really a shame

Absolute filth. Service is incredibly unfriendly. Toilets are filthy to the point where they can no longer be used. Cocktails were just sweet and sometimes disgusting. Never again!

The Becks beer was flat and the food was bland. Nachos was ok, the tacos Al Pastor was absolute rubbish. Not tacos al Pastore at all.

Tourist trap. Did not see one mexican working at the restaurant, the cocktails were okayish, but strong. They got the orders constantly mixed up. Even delivering at the wrong tables. Food was not great. The staff was nice though.

Huge place with several hundred places. We were there on a Wednesday around 9 p.m. and there were only a few guests. Nice service and good beer.

In addition to all the flaws in the service, I had food poisoning and was hospitalized! All other guests at the table with me had the same symptoms. Unfriendly service that gave the impression that she was under the influence of drugs. Sticky dirty table. The food order was delivered incorrectly several times. Not recommended!

We went for brunch at Easter, which has changed quite a bit from a few months before. Less choice, careless refilling of fruit, for example. Just tipped up. Thawed frozen cheesecake and another one that was no longer available. Price very cheap, but then it's better to pay a few euros more and get more quality. The used plates piled up on the table. It was only cleared when asked. There weren't many guests there, so no stressful situations.

If you have time available, why not. For a milshake, a glass of wine and a coke we had to wait around 40 minutes. And I had to go to the bar to claim and have the drinks put on the tray and delivered to us.

After a positive experience in Kreuzberg, we went to Cancun on Alex with confidence. Drinks were consumed quickly. Food was also ordered quickly. The food came in an acceptable time. Not a culinary hit but totally ok. However, we didn't have the drinks yet. These only came when we asked after we had already been eating for a while. A beer was also delivered that we hadn't ordered and had to return immediately. The Mosquito I ordered apparently had little bugs from the mint in the drink. It can happen, but the handling was rather questionable. When the first complaint was made, the waiter used the straw to fish a beetle or mint crumbs out of the glass, rubbed it on his hand with the straw and put the straw back. It shouldn't be beetles and we should try again. It doesn't work at all. The drink was only returned after a second complaint. The good. The mosquito was not charged. But the beer that we hadn't ordered and didn't accept either. I don't want to go into too much detail about the toilets. Dirty, the furnishings run down, some doors cannot be locked. Conclusion: Tempting because of the location, but certainly not worth repeating.

This location is huge!! You won’t have trouble finding a table, even if you are a larger size group. Food and service were decent and they had a really good music selection.

Were only there for cocktails. I can't say anything about food. My strawberry margarita was good and ice cold. Long Island Beach was warm, room temperature. Incredible. On top of that there was the ice, which you could watch melting every second. Please, people, I understand that you can't cool every syrup in enough space. But Sprite needs to be cooled. The nice waiter accepted our complaint in a friendly manner. It was also delicious

We got a warm welcome and some good help trying to figure out what to get for a picky eater in our group. Everything we got was delicious and the staff were wonderful.

I'm from the restaurant myself... went on a day trip... the Kentucky burger... meat, well... bread disaster! Nothing fresh! It crumbles when eaten... The second dish was delivered late… Salad was ok… Some restaurateurs don't appreciate their great location and sell such poor quality... It's a real shame... Staff was there anyway Nice...

When they arrived, the glasses already had noticeable limescale stains and fingerprints - a start that didn't whet the appetite. It was also noticeable that every guest was asked right at the beginning whether they would pay in cash or by card - a service question with remarkable tax foresight. When paying, only three tip levels were mentioned. The option to “continue without tip” was visible, but was elegantly ignored by the waiter. When I pointed this out in a friendly manner, he reacted noticeably irritated - the charm of the house apparently ends at the checkout. The food? Unfortunately, just as uninspired as the tone. It's a shame - there would have been potential, both in the kitchen and in the cash register system

The waiter doesn't get the hang of paying separately, is rude and keeps arguing with us. We as 17/18 year olds have to explain how he has to do his job properly as a 30 year old

We had one or two nightcaps in Cancun, service was good, cocktails, e.g. Mai Tai, great. Correct mix, beer at a sporty price.

If you look at the price-performance ratio, you really have to say, the quality was good and it tasted good.

We were there on a Sunday. A waiter showed us to a table by the window. Suddenly, another waiter came over, furious, and told us to sit in the back of the restaurant. The first waiter, however, said we could stay. So we waited – but nothing happened. No one served us. Finally, the second waiter came back and rudely told us to go to the back. But all the tables by the window were empty. If you're not willing to make money and treat customers so badly, you only have yourself to blame. For us, the visit was over.

The restaurant offers a nice mix of authentic Mexican ambience and a tourist-friendly concept. The tacos and fajitas were well seasoned, but if you really like it traditional you can order a little more spice. The portions were generous, and the frozen margarita was a real highlight! The service was friendly and attentive, although it sometimes took a little longer for the food to arrive in the evening - probably because of the large crowds. The price of the restaurant is very good if you consider the location, which is within walking distance of all of Berlin's popular sights, but for the location and the experience it is still totally fair! Overall, a nice place to enjoy Mexican food in a pleasant atmosphere - perfect for tourists who want to combine a bit of holiday flair with good food!

The food was outstanding – the tacos were fresh and full of flavor . I was particularly impressed by the “Alambre”. The service was attentive and friendly, and although the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The prices are super fair! Overall a great experience! I can recommend Cancun at Alexabderplatz to anyone who wants authentic Mexican cuisine. I will definitely come back!
