Tsukiji in Köln

I'm shocked. In 15 years of being in and out of the restaurant industry, I've never experienced anything like this. The waitress at this restaurant is a prime example of 5-star service. I am almost certain that I will probably never receive such service again. This restaurant has more than something to be proud of. Now for the sushi! I'm still speechless at how delicious this sushi was. We ordered a few things, and the highlight here was the Surf&Turf sushi. I can say without a guilty conscience that there is no sushi restaurant in Stuttgart that can compete with this quality. Every future visit to Cologne will take me to Tsukiji. The price at the end? A joke! We didn't even pay EUR 60 for an incredible amount! Thank you for this wonderful evening! We became fans.

I was eating with my best friend after a cosplay event in Cologne. The location is really nice and worth the money. After asking, we should take a few photos. Many thanks again to the team. Of course we were careful not to disturb other guests. Luckily for us, our visit was also at the end of opening hours. The food was really, really tasty. I had a three-course menu with a starter, main course and dessert for the equivalent of €27. Price performance was really top. This shop definitely offers food and atmosphere and is worth a visit.

BEETLES IN THE SALAD!!! I ordered a starter and after noticing a strange taste on the first Chinese cabbage leaf... I saw little bugs crawling all over the lettuce so I ate bugs... When I pointed this out, they immediately took care of giving me a new starter. To my surprise again with a side dish of beetles... The service is 10/10 The restaurant itself 9/10 But the thing about the bugs in the food -10/10 No more Tsukiji for me! Under no circumstances should this happen at such prices! This really questions my view of quality… Is it just chic and expensive??? Who knows...

As a long-time sushi fan, I have to say that the sushi is among the best I have ever eaten - versatile, fresh and delicious. The menu is highly recommended. The dessert with mascarpone is also divine!! 😍 Plus very friendly service. The ambience is nice and tidy. All in all, it's a solid 5 stars!

Wonderful location, everything that is sought after as Japanese food is here. High product quality, great ambience, nice and friendly service and an excellent selection. The menu was very fresh, everything was excellent; I'd love to come back again and again. Simply outstanding, the dessert is also fantastic. Maki and also fried sushi is fascinating.

The choice of dishes is decent. Excellent presentation, pleasant taste. But broken dishes when served are really upsetting and make you want to leave the establishment. It’s probably worth asking the client if he wants to eat with broken dishes? In general, it is worth paying attention to this point.

Nice ambience. Very tasty, well-seasoned starters. High quality, creative sushi and generous portions. Everything was lovingly prepared. Value for money reasonable. The service was also absolutely top. We can only recommend Tsukiji!

Great food, better than Amsterdam

This was the best sushi I have ever had no joke. Not only is the food amazing but you get a very good portion of food and it’s plated beautifully. Service is so nice they showed me how to make the chopsticks easy to use when you don’t know how to use them. Would recommend the price range is really worth it!!

The service is very friendly, they learned my friend how to use chopsticks and they held conversation. The interior is very nice inside and in the garden. And the food was delicious.

Looks inconspicuous from the outside. But very nicely decorated inside. The food always tastes great too. My insider tip is the lunch menu, which is unbeatable in terms of price/performance. My favorite is the ramen soup, I can really recommend it to everyone.

For us, by far the best Japanese restaurant in Cologne. Still a little insider tip because you wouldn't expect such a fantastic restaurant between the kebab shops and sisha bars on Zülpicher. Plus a great atmosphere and always super friendly staff. The karaage are incredibly delicious and the tuna main course was a real taste revelation.

The location on the Zülpicher is a bit intimidating, but the sushi and udon noodles were very tasty. Only the drinks could be a little stronger according to your own taste. But otherwise great recommendation.

Food itself was good. Nothing special, but tasty. Service was nice. Unfortunately, I wasn't that hungry after the starters, so I could barely eat half of my main course (with salmon), which is why I wanted to take the rest home with me. We communicated this accordingly and asked them to also bring the invoice and both were confirmed. Some time passed and neither the bill nor my food came: They accidentally threw away my food & had to cook it again, we had to ask specifically to get any information. The biggest disappointment came just when I wanted to eat my "leftover food": The portion was much less than what I had left over and there is no salmon in it at all.

Very tasteful, authentic furnishings. Located in the middle of Cologne on Zülpicher Platz, the always lively hustle and bustle of "Zülpi" remains outside and you can devote yourself entirely to the food. We tried different sushi rolls here. The food was very tasty and (of course) freshly prepared. Particularly noteworthy here is the presentation of the food, see photos, which is very creative and stylish. We felt very comfortable here and were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. Gladly again, thumbs up.

My visit to the Tsukiji Restaurant in Cologne was a real highlight. The sushi was fantastic – freshly made and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and offered excellent advice. The dessert and tea were also excellent. A little tip: plan some time to enjoy the meal to the fullest. All in all, I highly recommend Tsukiji Restaurant.

Small restaurant on a side street in Cologne. The food is delicious. The premises are in need of some renovation. The service was very nice...

Absolute impudence. And this is with Japanese people who traditionally have punctuality and reliability in their blood. We made reservations in time for December 25th. (today) and received confirmation of this on their website, but the store is simply closed. Christmas dinner fell into the basement. I can't rate something like that well and that's a shame because we were otherwise always satisfied. But we weren't even canceled or contacted. Standing in front of a black bar. We won't be coming back!

The atmosphere is very nice, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was served quickly and the food arrived quite quickly. The ramen tasted wonderful! Maybe a little too little pasta, but other than that it didn't lack for anything. Only the fried chicken in the ramen didn't convince me of the taste. The dessert was a fair portion for the price, very tasty and perfect after the hot ramen! All in all, I don't understand the negative comments, the ramen is of good quality (except for the chicken - next time I'll use pork). We can definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant :)

So the decor is really very pleasant, warm, friendly atmosphere. The service is very nice and attentive. I had ordered some kind of noodle soup with duck, my friend had ordered sushi. When her food was brought out, I thought mine would be there soon too - unfortunately she was almost finished when my bowl was served. The sushi was mediocre at best, at supermarket level - more focused on show and bling than on good, authentic taste and craftsmanship. It was served in a huge ceramic shell, then the waitress brought another clay pot where she poured liquid nitrogen, which wafted across the table in a mist... WHAT IS THAT?!? My soup was just a simple miso soup with noodles, a little pak choy cabbage and a few strips of duck breast. Not particularly seasoned, quite bland and very manageable. Comparable to the miso soup packs from the Asian store. For an incredible €17.50 I would have expected more! The sushi was at best supermarket quality and very expensive at around €21 for 5 bites of tuna sashimi and a crunchy roll - the tuna really wasn't of the best quality. There is better sushi in the Rewe supermarket next door. Plus a Kirin beer for an incredible €4 a small glass. This was our second visit here - the first time there was a sushi platter for two... below average sushi here too, very little but an extremely large amount of show with nitrogen mist... You can really save yourself the food here - very disappointing. It's not a Japanese restaurant.

Die udonnudeln mit Tofu sind wirklich geschmacklos. So ein schwammiges Tofu ohne Geschmack. Ungenießbar. Mit Ente war dies okay, aber die Nudeln waren halt auch sehr fahl. Wirklich sehr enttäuscht. Sushi war okay. Allerdings würde ich den Laden nicht empfehlen, Service hat zum Ende hin ewig gedauert und der miefige Geruch im Restaurant erklärt vllt auch die Maus/ Ratte die wir zum Ende hin gesehen haben. Gastronomie hin oder her(kann ja überall passieren wo Lebensmittel sind) aber das war für uns sehr erschreckend. Sehr schade. Wir werden nicht nochmal her kommen nach dem Erlebnis.

Einfach nur Wow! So ein schöner Laden. Die Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und wunderschön angerichtet. Sogar mit schöner Präsentation serviert. Ich kann nur 5 Sterne geben. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Vorspeise Ebi und Hähnchen nicht gut. Undine Nudeln fad, mit Sojasauce ging es dann. Ente trocken. Sing of Salmon war gut. Alkoholfreie Cocktails lecker. Es könnte sauberer sein, vor allem auf den WCs.

Tiger roll is definitely crazy, extremely tasty! But the noodles and rice for me are not worth it.

Japanische Küche ist ja immer etwas teurer, aber hier vergleichsweise noch im Rahmen. Um die 30 € fürs Essen pro Person sind zu berappen. Die ästhetische Komposition der Speisen beeindruckt und man wird sehr freundlich umsorgt im gemütlichen Ambiente. Fürs besondere Date oder den exquisiten Sushi- Genuss-Abend sehr empfehlenswert und auch für Vegetarier interessant.

Sushi quality was top for the price. Would skip the stir fried udon next time … and try the extravagant sushi platter for sure. Great options and not too much rice in the rolls, mostly fish! Favorite was the fried roll with Jakobsmuscheln and the blue fin tuna maki paired with hot sake. Super cute seating options for date night but a little unconventional to get in and out of. Service was very friendly and attentive. EC only over 35€

I went there with a big group, around 30 people and of course we made a reservation before, they were pretty nice even if we asked for a couple of more chairs and tables. But we had to wait 2h for the food, I understand we were 30,but the place was not that busy and we had a reservation, basically they were aware of the big group. They offered us an extra free sushi plate which was very much appreciated! Overall it's very nice place, but waiting time is not their main strong point let's say

Das Sushi war hervorragend und ist super schön angerichtet. Anders als bei den meisten klassischen Sushi-Restaurants gibt es auch fantastische Hauptgerichte. Der Oktopus war hervorragend gegrillt und super zart. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Innenhof, was man von außen nicht erwartet. Der Service war super freundlich. Dafür, dass relativ wenig los war am frühen Abend, hat es bei der Getränke Nachbestellung zu lange gedauert.

Super starkes Sushi! Klassische und kreative Rollen sind gleichermaßen lecker. Relativ wenig Reis und viel Fisch zeichnen dieses Sushi aus. Einzige Schwäche des Restaurants ist für mich der Sanitärbereich.

Zunächst einmal: wirklich sehr netter Service und Bedienung und ein schönes Ambiente. Leider empfand ich das Sushi (Love salmon/ebi inside out) doch ehrlicherweise geschmacklich etwas zu fad und nicht so gut, wie es viele Vorredner geschrieben haben- der Geschmack vom Fisch& Reis war einfach nicht überzeugend. Zudem empfand die ganze Präsentation(Riesenteller, Malerei auf dem Teller mit Saucen, Rauchkerzen) zwar ästhetisch, aber irgendwie auch stellenweise zu viel. Ich habe das Ambiente trotzdem mit 5 Sternen bewertet, da es wirklich sehr sauber und im Innenbereich schick gelöst wurde. Wegen des Sushis komme ich nicht mehr wieder, aber vllt probiere ich mal andere Gerichte.

Ein WUNDER-, WUNDER-, WUNDERBARES Restaurant, bei dem sich die 5-Sterne in allen 3 Rubriken ein (Essen, Service, Ambiente) Battle liefern, bei dem alle nur mit Bestwertung enden können. Vom hektischen Zülpicher Platz ein paar Schritte ins Lokal und man fühlt sich wie in einer anderen Welt durch den Teleporter direkt nach Japan versetzt (siehe Fotos hier bei Google Maps), eine komplett ruhige, angenehme Wohlfühlatmosphäre im wunderschön (!!!) eingerichteten Lokal, die weitergeführt wird durch eine sehr freundliche & symphatische Bedienung.......und vollendet wird durch ein außergewöhnliches Essens- UND Getränkeerlebnis (tolle Säfte, non-alcohol-Cocktails und Limonaden), das man nicht verpassen sollte. Glücklicherweise auch SEHR geeignet für die Leute, die original japanisch speisen, aber kein Sushi essen möchten. So bei uns, die wir alle 3 vom Sushi-freien Teil der Karte bestellten, und in keinster Weise enttäuscht wurden. Kann meinen nächsten Köln-Besuch kaum abwarten, bei dem das Tsikiji absolute Pflicht ist. HEISSER TIP!!!

Ausgezeichnetes Sushi! In meinen Augen die beste Fischqualität in Köln und alles wird sehr schön angerichtet.

Selten habe ich ein so außergewöhnliches japanisches Restaurant erlebt! Das Sushi war frisch, köstlich und kunstvoll zubereitet. Das Lachs Tata war ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus, zart und perfekt gewürzt – absolut umami! Die Atmosphäre war einladend, und das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen, um mehr von diesen kulinarischen Meisterwerken zu genießen. Definitiv 5 Sterne wert! 🍣🌟 PS: Ich wohne in Oldenburg, und die 3 Stunden Fahrt sind es absolut wert!

Das Restaurant sieht von außen unscheinbar aus, im Inneren sehr schön und einladend. Das Essen ist super lecker, wobei wir nur das Sushi gegessen haben. Das Sushi ist unfassbar gut und frisch, nur weiter zu empfehlen. Preislich ist das Restaurant ähnlich wie Konkurrenten auf dem selben Niveau, Sushi ist nicht günstig. Der Fisch ist sehr zart, für alles inklusive 0,75l Wasser und 0,33 Cola haben wir 88€ gezahlt, siehe bilder. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt jeden möglichen Wunsch.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend im Tsukiji. Das Ambiente holt einen sofort raus aus dem Alltag. Der Service ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Bestandteile der Sushi Kreationen sind perfekt ausbalanciert und es schmeckt alles richtig frisch. Das haben wir richtig genossen. Hier werde ich jetzt öfter hingehen.
