One of our favorite shops in Cologne! Fantastic food and first class service.

The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and I felt extremely comfortable there.

Very very tasty food and good portions. It was even very cheap thanks to the lunch menu. The waitress was very nice and we felt very comfortable. The equipment and the music made it easy for us to switch off and feel like we were in Japan.

Attention, dishes labeled vegan are not vegan! According to the allergens they contain egg, when I asked if it was really vegan they said yes.. with the sushi “vegan inside out” I then asked if vegan cream cheese was used for it (because according to the menu it uses cream cheese) and the answer was no but you can leave out the cream cheese then it is vegan... In addition, we had to wait a long time to order and pay and unfortunately we couldn't eat at the same time because the dishes were ready one after the other. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot understand this incredibly good review of this store.

The food was super tasty, both for vegetarians and for people who eat meat and fish. The service was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was also very nice, so you feel very comfortable. I would especially recommend the vegan gyoza as a starter.

We were there this afternoon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, my girlfriend wasn't feeling well and the food was packed for us. Fair prices and absolutely amazing sushi! We will definitely come back! :) ps. the vegan gyozas are completely wild!!! definitely try it!

The best sushi we have ever eaten and we often eat sushi. In addition, the food was served to us in a very special way. Both me and my friend really enjoyed it. The Shaolin crunchy rolls are a must have. The service was very attentive and friendly and the location is also really nice.

We went to Tsukiji in Cologne for the first time and were thrilled! As soon as you enter, the restaurant impresses with a beautiful, authentic ambience that creates a cozy atmosphere. As a starter we chose edamame, which was served very fresh, warm and perfectly lightly salted - simply a delight. There was also a lemon-ginger tea, which we can warmly recommend: aromatic, fresh and just right. A special highlight were the gyoza – we have rarely eaten such good ones! The dumplings were unusual in shape and color and, together with the homemade dip, a real taste experience. For the main course we ordered the sushi platter for two people. The presentation was a real eye-catcher, including a dry ice effect that made the experience even more special. In terms of taste, the platter was an absolute highlight and offered a great cross-section of the menu - perfect for first-time visitors like us. The service was outstanding: super friendly, fast, attentive and simply warm. We felt completely comfortable. Clear recommendation! We'll definitely be back - you more than deserve the 5 stars!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Germany

Great restaurant! I've been there twice while I was in Cologne. Everything was excellent both times! Delicious food, large portions, fair prices, and very friendly staff! The place looks very unassuming from the outside, but it's super cozy inside!

It was a 5 star experience for a small price

The food (sushis) was nothing spectacular in taste but presented nicely. The service was _really_ slow when we visited. I really hope it was just bad luck at this time. But that really threw off and dissapointed.

We reserved a table there and were shown through the restaurant into the annex when we arrived. Unfortunately the atmosphere is absolutely not comparable to the rest of the restaurant and more like a snack bar with nice tables. There were no heaters, just heat rays, and there were multiple sockets on the floor next to one. We then decided to leave the restaurant and not eat there. So unfortunately I can't rate the food. We made a reservation in advance. All the more disappointing when you end up in cultivation.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. While my friends had already received their starters and main courses, I had to wait an extremely long time for my food - even though I hadn't ordered a starter. Even after asking, my dish came last, without a proper apology. Instead I got an excuse from the waiter. When my meal - a noodle soup - finally arrived, it wasn't hot enough and tasteless. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially because of the poor service. I probably won't come back.

This is a Japanese restaurant run by a Chinese person, but the staff members are all very pleasant. The service is perfect. The taste isn't bad either. The sushi in particular was not a simple Japanese sushi, but it was delicious. However, fried chicken is not in the form that Japanese people are familiar with, but is more like a piece of fluffed chicken meat that has been hardened and deep-fried, so although the taste is not bad, it is better not to imagine it as ordinary fried chicken.

The location is very nice. We enjoyed the food very much. We were there at lunchtime and each had a lunch menu. Which probably changes weekly. Price performance was very good. The only deduction is one star because unfortunately it was dusty in many corners, and the sanitary facilities were also dusty and covered in cobwebs

The food was really excellent♥️!!! Thank you for that. I have rarely eaten so well. The toilets themselves were clean, only the dust in the corners could be removed.

The first impression of the restaurant is a pleasant atmosphere. At second glance and after visiting the toilet, the cleanliness is very poor. The toilet facilities are very dirty, were clogged, and the exit to the toilets was also as dirty as I have ever seen, at least in Germany. If you take a closer look under the table, this area probably hasn't been cleaned in a while. For a restaurant, especially one that serves raw fish, this is more than worrying. It's hard to say, but the service was sometimes dirty. When you cook, you can get dirty - no question about it. But in general, and especially in a sushi restaurant, walking around looking dingy is absolutely not possible and is disgusting. The service was boring, ordering and delivery of the food took a long time. Various requests and requests were not complied with. Edamame were cold, the soup was at most lukewarm, the sushi was at most average. We love sushi and chose the restaurant based on the good reviews. Here we even didn't finish eating and left some of it back. The visit was very disappointing and just bad overall. Another visit is excluded.

A very nice restaurant. We had reserved a table and had also written down our wish because of the place where we wanted to eat. At the beginning it was very chaotic because it was disorganized, the store was full and we had made a special reservation. We had to wait a bit so everyone was nice. The conditions were friendly and it was difficult to get a place. The food tasted very, very tasty, according to Google reviews, we also decided to eat our dinner there. Ambiance is very nice. In general, it's a great store. Just a little more organization would be great. Otherwise, I can't complain. They also try to fulfill customers' wishes, which is great. 😍

Due to the recessions, I chose this restaurant for a very special evening. You notice once again that people perceive things differently. For us, this was our first and last visit here. The seaweed salad ordered as a starter was still frozen. I told the waitress and got a new one (but at first she said that was normal). After the first drinks we asked again for the menu, unfortunately the waitress forgot, the guests at the neighboring table noticed the situation and offered their menu. Ordering drinks regularly was also rather difficult because the waitress didn't come by very often. We sat in the winter garden... This is not particularly inviting and gives the impression that this room is not yet finished or was intended as a storage room (for example, there is a gas bottle in the corner at the guest table) The sushi platter we ordered for three people (there were two of us) was unfortunately rather tasteless and nothing special. We were fed up with 2 people, but we each had 2 starters.. The toilets were anything but clean. I find that particularly sad. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the evening. Conclusion: Everyone expects something different from a visit to a restaurant. Unfortunately our expectations were not met here.

My first thought was: a good Japanese restaurant in this location? Hardly! The ambience in the restaurant tries everything to appear Japanese. The tables in the main room give the impression of classic Japanese tables, where guests sit on the floor. Of course that doesn't fit in Germany, as if it was adapted. Well thought out and implemented. Then the guest shouldn't jump out at the first glance at the table next to chopsticks in the same cutlery bag for a fork and spoon. That ruins everything again. Serving Oshibori would have been a useful addition, because who wants to eat with dirty fingers? The food is generally good, but not seasoned or prepared in a traditional Japanese way. The staff is friendly and helpful, but is unfortunately understaffed. The bottom line is you get what you pay for and it was relatively cheap.

Food was so well... Depends on taste, of course. Waited over an hour for the food. The atmosphere and surroundings were also underwhelming. However, the service was friendly.

The food is delicious and the portions are big for a really affordable price. The interior design is nice as well and the restaurant size is big. The only downside is the service is a bit slow.

Every time very tasty and very friendly staff

We visited the place during an odd timing around 4 pm, so being there only guests at a time. The service was absolutely fantastic and lady spoke good English. We even got a custom order for the soup considering the dietary preferences. Cannot praise it more, very recommended.

The restaurant shares its name with a large fish market in Japan. And yes - I have to say, the name does justice to what you get here. It tastes really good, the price is okay and the people are nice and friendly. So I can only say arigato.

BEETLES IN THE SALAD!!! I ordered a starter and after noticing a strange taste on the first Chinese cabbage leaf... I saw little bugs crawling all over the lettuce so I ate bugs... When I pointed this out, they immediately took care of giving me a new starter. To my surprise again with a side dish of beetles... The service is 10/10 The restaurant itself 9/10 But the thing about the bugs in the food -10/10 No more Tsukiji for me! Under no circumstances should this happen at such prices! This really questions my view of quality… Is it just chic and expensive??? Who knows...

The restaurant is nicely decorated. We ordered the udon noodles, which the menu says are served with teriyaki sauce. My friend had the dish with tofu and didn't have any teriyaki sauce. I had the same dish with chicken and had teriyaki sauce on the chicken. When I asked if we could have more of the teriyaki sauce we were offered that they sell it and we could buy a teriyaki sauce. When I pointed out that my friend didn't have any teriyaki sauce on the dish, we were told that the dish didn't say it, only the chicken. We looked again and it was definitely different on the menu. In general, the food wasn't anything special. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to visiting the restaurant.

Super delicious food. Very friendly reception. And the service was also very, very nice and professional. We had to wait a few minutes but we were able to take a look at the menu. After the starter and main course, we order dessert straight away. After 80 minutes we were informed that the table was needed and the dessert/drinks could no longer be served. An alternative with another table was not possible. After I asked how long the reservation would last, they said 2 hours. 2 hours are also stated when making the reservation. We were only there for 80 minutes. This has never happened to us when we consumed €100 and were politely thrown out. Unfortunately, apologizing is no longer of any use. It's a shame but there won't be another visit.

The food was super tasty, the interior of the restaurant is incredibly beautiful, cozy and authentic. And 1 of the female server speaking English perfectly fluent. Everything well served. Perfect lunch for us! Definitely will be back.

One of the best Asian restaurants we've ever been to. Will definitely stop by again on our next visit. The food was very good, the prices were also very good compared to Stuttgart and we really liked the interior design.

We visited Tsukiji on November 9th based on a recommendation… The store is very inconspicuous and from the outside you would probably walk past it What can I say? Wow! What a discovery we have had here. This Japanese restaurant is beautifully and traditionally decorated, the quiet Japanese music in the background completes the experience perfectly. The service is extremely friendly, big compliments for the service. You can eat various Japanese dishes here, we mainly focused on sushi. Edamame and the Tsukiji karaage as a starter. The flavors are superb, the signature dishes are great. The specialties they serve here have not been seen anywhere else and taste heavenly. The sushi was served in an original and fun way. Price-quality is very good here. All in all highly recommended, if we are ever in Cologne again we will definitely come back here.

I'm shocked. In 15 years of being in and out of the restaurant industry, I've never experienced anything like this. The waitress at this restaurant is a prime example of 5-star service. I am almost certain that I will probably never receive such service again. This restaurant has more than something to be proud of. Now for the sushi! I'm still speechless at how delicious this sushi was. We ordered a few things, and the highlight here was the Surf&Turf sushi. I can say without a guilty conscience that there is no sushi restaurant in Stuttgart that can compete with this quality. Every future visit to Cologne will take me to Tsukiji. The price at the end? A joke! We didn't even pay EUR 60 for an incredible amount! Thank you for this wonderful evening! We became fans.

I was eating with my best friend after a cosplay event in Cologne. The location is really nice and worth the money. After asking, we should take a few photos. Many thanks again to the team. Of course we were careful not to disturb other guests. Luckily for us, our visit was also at the end of opening hours. The food was really, really tasty. I had a three-course menu with a starter, main course and dessert for the equivalent of €27. Price performance was really top. This shop definitely offers food and atmosphere and is worth a visit.

Wonderful location, everything that is sought after as Japanese food is here. High product quality, great ambience, nice and friendly service and an excellent selection. The menu was very fresh, everything was excellent; I'd love to come back again and again. Simply outstanding, the dessert is also fantastic. Maki and also fried sushi is fascinating.

The choice of dishes is decent. Excellent presentation, pleasant taste. But broken dishes when served are really upsetting and make you want to leave the establishment. It’s probably worth asking the client if he wants to eat with broken dishes? In general, it is worth paying attention to this point.

This was the best sushi I have ever had no joke. Not only is the food amazing but you get a very good portion of food and it’s plated beautifully. Service is so nice they showed me how to make the chopsticks easy to use when you don’t know how to use them. Would recommend the price range is really worth it!!
