Exceptionally Good - On All Levels We visited the restaurant spontaneously and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere with a concept that we found exceptionally well-executed. The food and drinks were consistently very good and we were truly impressed. The service was very courteous, and the wait times were reasonable for a spontaneous visit. We'd be happy to come back.

You wouldn't expect to find such a good Japanese restaurant in this location, and from the outside, the restaurant doesn't look the best. But the food has never disappointed me. The ambiance and service are also top-notch! Highly recommended!

This place was recommended by my friend but we were disappointed after having dinner here. To be fair, the sushi were good and the place is beautifully decorated. - we ordered homemade lemonade for our kid and it was with vodka (gladly, my husband tried it before my son did) - we were sitting in the inner yard and my chair was wet (and my back as well) - one of the dishes we ordered was udon with duck breast which it was generously sprinkled with chilly and we could not eat it at all. I am not sure we are coming back

Unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, it's completely different! The atmosphere is super nice, and the food was delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back again :)

I haven't eaten at such a good, authentic restaurant in a long time. The food was delicious, and each dish was special in its own way. The ambiance is lovely. 🍱🍣 I've never seen such friendly and attentive staff before. We always enjoy coming here. I highly recommend it.

Really fantastic place, all three waiters we integrated with were super friendly and sweet, the food was really delicious and beautifully served, the surroundings were really beautiful and authentic. The facade / storefront does not reflect at all how nice and good the store is inside, they need to fix that so more people will open their eyes to how nice a place it is.

Highly recommended! We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. Otherwise, we recommend making a reservation. The food was delicious and absolutely fresh! Unfortunately, part of our order was forgotten. But ultimately, this didn't diminish the quality of the food. We would come again!

Best Japanese fusion cuisine I've ever been to! I highly recommend the octopus and the matcha tiramisu. The sushi is always beautifully presented, especially when you order multiple rolls together. The food is incredibly delicious, and as soon as you enter the restaurant, you're transported to another world, completely oblivious to the hustle and bustle of the Zülpi.

Beele surprise when pushing the door which, at first glance, does not sell the dream from the outside. The setting is Magnificent 🌸 decoration worked in its details, background music. Professional and friendly service. The price is very reasonable because the quality is excellent! Fresh raw fish, and tasty noodles! Bravo for this winning combo 👏🏻!

The service was really nice, but unfortunately, the food overall didn't taste like much. The edamame appetizer was very soft and barely salted, and the salmon sushi unfortunately had very little flavor either.

Incredibly delicious. I went in with low expectations, as I didn't seek out the restaurant this time. I've walked past it several times before, but never really paid attention. Thank goodness my brother picked this place out. It was truly one of the tastiest Japanese restaurants I've visited in Germany so far. Tsukiji is definitely in my top 3 list of Japanese restaurants. I was absolutely thrilled. From the grilled octopus to the tender duck breast and sushi, everything was excellent. And for four people, I think the price we paid was justifiable. Tsukiji truly offers the best value for sushi! After downsizing the menu, they even lowered the prices, which is fair enough. I think that's great! The sushi tastes simply incredible, is beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. I always enjoy coming back! The large room at the back looks a bit odd, and sometimes it smells a bit unpleasant.

3,5/5 I had high hopes for this place after seeing so many glowing reviews and viral videos, but unfortunately, the sushi just didn’t live up to the hype. The spicy salmon roll was underwhelming, it was salmon-flavored cream inside than actual salmon, which was disappointing for me. As for the Dragon Fire with flambéed salmon, the smoky flavor completely overpowered everything else on the plate. What really surprised me was that there was no wasabi on my plate at all. It’s a small detail, but one that matters when you’re expecting a full sushi experience. On a positive note, my first homemade drink was actually quite good balanced and refreshing. That’s why I ordered a second one, but that turned out to be a mistake. The second round was like a sugar bomb, almost undrinkable. Overall, not a terrible experience, but definitely not what I expected given the buzz.

it was my birthday and i couldn't imagine a better dinner with my loved ones! the food really was perfect we ordered the mixed plate for 4 with a little adjustment over the one on the menu, we told the waitress that we liked tuna and she was happy to change a few items to add them to the plate with no extra charge. other than that the atmosphere was pretty cool and different than we're used to also the service was quick and the staff where always smiling and making us feel welcomed. top 10/10 place totally recommended.

Absolute disaster! The ambiance looks inviting and the service is friendly, but if you ignore all the plastic decorations on the food, which make it look quite attractive, it's like any other sushi restaurant. The difference: the sushi tastes of nothing, just like the other dishes... not even the wasabi was fresh... it was the worst sushi I've ever eaten... what a shame

Not a traditional japaness sushi place. The menu has a lot of modern/Vietnamese style sushi, lots of deep fried stuff. We had ordered Karaage, and it was with minced chicken meat, very oily, tasted nothing Japanese. Sashimi is very average quality. The waiter complained that when we didn't order more main dishes in our first order, we ordered 3 side dishes 2 6 of sashimi and one roll. We wanted to check the quality of the food first, and we were happy we didn't order more. It was a very disappointing experience.

My boyfriend and I had our first date here in 2022, and then we celebrated our first anniversary there. Since then, we've loved eating here. We've tried a few dishes and drinks, and without exception, everything was incredibly delicious, fresh, and soothing. There's a nice selection for vegetarians, and the tofu is fantastic. The staff were very kind and friendly on all our visits. You feel very comfortable there. The decor is lovingly decorated, and the music is pleasantly soft, allowing you to unwind from everyday life. Please don't change anything; the place is great just the way it is! I highly recommend the matcha dessert. We had shrimp dumplings, veggie gyoza, Hokkaido curry, and Shaolin tofu. Simply unbelievably delicious! Thank you :)

Very delicious food. The selection of appetizers is very varied, the ramen was delicious, and the matcha tiramisu was the perfect ending.

Very friendly welcome. Dine-in is possible without a reservation. Entrance is at ground level, making it very wheelchair accessible. The food is delicious, and you'll feel like you're transported to Japan for your stay.

the sushi was fantastic, with fresh ingredients and taste amazing! we ordered the spicy salmon roll, tsukiji inside out (which was our absolute favorite) and surf n turf (fried shrimp roll with rib-eye steak). the matcha tiramisu for dessert is to DIE for, so creamy and not too sweet. service is also fantastic 10/10 would come again :)

This was the best sushi I’ve had in a long time!! Specially recommendable was the Drachen Fire and the shrimp tempura!! Amazing quality and the price is even affordable. The service was very nice and attentive too. All in all, a wonderful experience

The waitress was professional and spoke great English and was helpful in providing answers to our questions. The prosecco was a bit flat, not much bubble, but other than that all the other dishes were awesome. Fresh and tasty. Octopus was cooked perfectly and its sauce was great. Sushi rolls were also nicely presented.

Great restaurant and food, nice service ! A pity that they didn’t have the cod that was replaced with salmon. But the tofu, octopus and other authentic dishes were all delicious. I really recommend the food and quality. I just want to give a little advice here because it is a pity to leave out a detail that ultimately can spoil the whole impression. We loved the interior but please clean up the spider webs on the facade and from the windows on the ceiling (they are full with it!). And these were just above our table.

You've made my week! I've decided to travel alone, unfortunately my stay in France didn't feel too good. So I decided to go to Köln. First stop: Tsukiji! The friendly service of the waiter made me feel very welcome. The service was great. And the food not only looked delicious, it also tasted great. (The rest of my stay in Köln was also great!) I ate at Tsukiji with my company yesterday. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding regarding the reservation. However, the staff reacted quickly and arranged tables for our large group. The food was fabulous, and the service was also very polite and attentive. The ambiance in the restaurant is exactly what you would expect from a good Japanese restaurant. I would definitely go back.

The food was extremely tasty. I had the duck with vegetables and mashed potatoes. I would even give more than 5 stars for the food. What I like about the ambience is that the tables are nice and big and that you have a lot of space. We had reserved for 4 people.

Attention, dishes labeled vegan are not vegan! According to the allergens they contain egg, when I asked if it was really vegan they said yes.. with the sushi “vegan inside out” I then asked if vegan cream cheese was used for it (because according to the menu it uses cream cheese) and the answer was no but you can leave out the cream cheese then it is vegan... In addition, we had to wait a long time to order and pay and unfortunately we couldn't eat at the same time because the dishes were ready one after the other. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot understand this incredibly good review of this store.

Very very tasty food and good portions. It was even very cheap thanks to the lunch menu. The waitress was very nice and we felt very comfortable. The equipment and the music made it easy for us to switch off and feel like we were in Japan.

The best sushi we have ever eaten and we often eat sushi. In addition, the food was served to us in a very special way. Both me and my friend really enjoyed it. The Shaolin crunchy rolls are a must have. The service was very attentive and friendly and the location is also really nice.

We went to Tsukiji in Cologne for the first time and were thrilled! As soon as you enter, the restaurant impresses with a beautiful, authentic ambience that creates a cozy atmosphere. As a starter we chose edamame, which was served very fresh, warm and perfectly lightly salted - simply a delight. There was also a lemon-ginger tea, which we can warmly recommend: aromatic, fresh and just right. A special highlight were the gyoza – we have rarely eaten such good ones! The dumplings were unusual in shape and color and, together with the homemade dip, a real taste experience. For the main course we ordered the sushi platter for two people. The presentation was a real eye-catcher, including a dry ice effect that made the experience even more special. In terms of taste, the platter was an absolute highlight and offered a great cross-section of the menu - perfect for first-time visitors like us. The service was outstanding: super friendly, fast, attentive and simply warm. We felt completely comfortable. Clear recommendation! We'll definitely be back - you more than deserve the 5 stars!

Great restaurant! I've been there twice while I was in Cologne. Everything was excellent both times! Delicious food, large portions, fair prices, and very friendly staff! The place looks very unassuming from the outside, but it's super cozy inside!

It was a 5 star experience for a small price

The food (sushis) was nothing spectacular in taste but presented nicely. The service was _really_ slow when we visited. I really hope it was just bad luck at this time. But that really threw off and dissapointed.

We reserved a table there and were shown through the restaurant into the annex when we arrived. Unfortunately the atmosphere is absolutely not comparable to the rest of the restaurant and more like a snack bar with nice tables. There were no heaters, just heat rays, and there were multiple sockets on the floor next to one. We then decided to leave the restaurant and not eat there. So unfortunately I can't rate the food. We made a reservation in advance. All the more disappointing when you end up in cultivation.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. While my friends had already received their starters and main courses, I had to wait an extremely long time for my food - even though I hadn't ordered a starter. Even after asking, my dish came last, without a proper apology. Instead I got an excuse from the waiter. When my meal - a noodle soup - finally arrived, it wasn't hot enough and tasteless. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially because of the poor service. I probably won't come back.

This is a Japanese restaurant run by a Chinese person, but the staff members are all very pleasant. The service is perfect. The taste isn't bad either. The sushi in particular was not a simple Japanese sushi, but it was delicious. However, fried chicken is not in the form that Japanese people are familiar with, but is more like a piece of fluffed chicken meat that has been hardened and deep-fried, so although the taste is not bad, it is better not to imagine it as ordinary fried chicken.

The sushi is fresh and tasty, the selection is large, and the staff is friendly. The waiting time could be shorter at times, but overall a great experience. Gladly again

The location is very nice. We enjoyed the food very much. We were there at lunchtime and each had a lunch menu. Which probably changes weekly. Price performance was very good. The only deduction is one star because unfortunately it was dusty in many corners, and the sanitary facilities were also dusty and covered in cobwebs

The food was really excellent♥️!!! Thank you for that. I have rarely eaten so well. The toilets themselves were clean, only the dust in the corners could be removed.

The first impression of the restaurant is a pleasant atmosphere. At second glance and after visiting the toilet, the cleanliness is very poor. The toilet facilities are very dirty, were clogged, and the exit to the toilets was also as dirty as I have ever seen, at least in Germany. If you take a closer look under the table, this area probably hasn't been cleaned in a while. For a restaurant, especially one that serves raw fish, this is more than worrying. It's hard to say, but the service was sometimes dirty. When you cook, you can get dirty - no question about it. But in general, and especially in a sushi restaurant, walking around looking dingy is absolutely not possible and is disgusting. The service was boring, ordering and delivery of the food took a long time. Various requests and requests were not complied with. Edamame were cold, the soup was at most lukewarm, the sushi was at most average. We love sushi and chose the restaurant based on the good reviews. Here we even didn't finish eating and left some of it back. The visit was very disappointing and just bad overall. Another visit is excluded.

A very nice restaurant. We had reserved a table and had also written down our wish because of the place where we wanted to eat. At the beginning it was very chaotic because it was disorganized, the store was full and we had made a special reservation. We had to wait a bit so everyone was nice. The conditions were friendly and it was difficult to get a place. The food tasted very, very tasty, according to Google reviews, we also decided to eat our dinner there. Ambiance is very nice. In general, it's a great store. Just a little more organization would be great. Otherwise, I can't complain. They also try to fulfill customers' wishes, which is great. 😍
