Very tasty and diverse running sushi with high quality dishes. We really liked it and we will definitely come back. The staff was friendly and attentive :)

We often go out for sushi. The problem with running sushi is often that after a certain time, salmon and tuna, for example, no longer pass. It was completely different here. Different selections of sushi passed by at any time. The quality was top. The price-performance ratio is therefore unbeatable. We'd love to come back when we're back in Munich

The sushi here is one of the best I have eaten in Munich so far. The staff is also very attentive and, above all, quick. The selection of different dishes was also very good and the price is reasonable. I have been a regular guest here for years.

We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant. The prices are really great. For 14€ all u can eat at lunch you can't say anything. We went to the restaurant but unfortunately we didn't make a reservation. It was full so we expected a wait. But when the waiter saw us, we were left standing for 5 minutes until he came up to us and simply said "map" after we asked if we could get a table for two. Without a greeting and then just the one word. He also immediately turned around until we went to him and asked if we could wait. All we got was a harsh yes and a hand gesture in the corner with the rest of the chairs. We waited another 15 minutes until a table for 4 became available. When the waiter continued to ignore us, we spoke to him again and asked if we could sit at the table that had just become vacant. With an unpleasant tone he simply said "no, that's a table for 4" and turned away and left. We would have waited longer and that wouldn't have been a problem, but unfortunately the unfriendly and condescending manner of the waiter really spoiled our appetite.

Unfortunately the owner was very unfriendly and kept us waiting for a long time even though there were seats available. Why is he still doing the job if he doesn't feel like it? No matter what, Subway was significantly cheaper and definitely better!

Waiters are really rude. I have never seen that much bad attitude from any waiter/waitress in any restaurant in Munich. You have just 40 mins to eat however it is not written anywhere. They do not inform you and try to kick you out rudely. Also the price of the open- buffet is okay but you have to order a drink to be able to order open-buffet. It is not written either. The restaurant is just a ordinary place, nothing special. However the foods are kinda delicious for an open-buffet.

The food has more options than other running sushi, the price is reasonable. I ordered green tea and it comes with a big tea pot, the price is reasonable, the taste is delicious, the staff smiled at me. When it comes to asian restaurants, I don’t need good service, they put their energy and hearts into the food and they delivered.

Overall, it was super rewarding to go there. Food is tasty, plentiful and of good quality. Unfortunately there was no music playing and it was a bit quiet, I think they could do more to make it feel a bit more homey and relaxed. But all in all great!!

Were here with a group. Food was ok - but nothing more. There are significantly better running sushis...not much variety. But price/performance fits.

One of the best places to do all you can eat running sushi in Munich. There are definitely pros and cons but for me the place is still great! There were two conveyer belts carrying food. The one below carries the cold dishes, basically sushi and dessert. The one on top carries the hot dishes like fried crab balls, fried banana, fried sushi, fried shrimp, gyoza, and so on. The fried things has nothing special but you can still try them. The seafood (Salmon, Shrimp, Tuna, etc) on the other hand was all very fresh and delicious! Too bad when I came for lunch there were not much options, it was basically the same things again and again but this wasn’t a problem as me and my friend just wanted to eat as many salmon nigiri as we possibly could. I noticed that the salmon comes in batches and it is not always on the conveyer belt but there is enough for everybody so don’t worry. Regarding their service, the price for lunch is probably one of the most worth it thing in Munich (13€). A lot of the negative reviews here is about having to order drinks and rude service. I didn’t happen to experience the rude service but yes we needed to order a drink. I ordered a Spezi for 3,40€ so in total I paid 16,40€ which is still very much worth it. They limit the time for each customer to one hour, which for me and my friend it wasn’t a problem as we were already on dessert when the staff asked us to pay. A thing to note is that I think you can actually reserve a seat which might be very beneficial as the place is crowded, so go ahead and try to reserve a table before you go. Even if you don’t like me and my friend, we just had to wait like ten minutes so it wasn’t a big problem. Atmosphere wise, the space is enough for you to walk comfortably and it was also clean. But a bigger restaurant and a conveyer belt that runs through the whole restaurant would be even more amazing. Overall, it’s a very great restaurant despite the cons and I highly recommend it for you all to try!

This sushi restaurant is perfect for every occasion, whether you want to take away, dine in, or enjoy their running sushi during specific hours. It is the ideal place for sushi lovers. The prices are very affordable, and the food is absolutely delicious. As a small and traditional Japanese restaurant, some may find a language barrier or perceive the staff as not very welcoming, but I believe this just adds to the authentic cultural experience.

I would prefer to give zero stars, every shop has its quirks, that's clear, but the fact that you can't order sushi if you don't want a drink is really a disgrace, me and my girlfriend like to have lunch here because you really can't complain about the price But I can't recommend going in the evening. There is hardly any choice left in the evening, food is cold anyway and the waitress only speaks when she has to and when she does that she is totally unfriendly. So, as I said, in the evening it would be better to have a frozen pizza than something cheap

Very strange experience. Today, in lunchtime, I wanted to give the all-you-can-eat sushi a try. The restaurant was not busy as it was already 13:30, but the waiter was obviously considering for a few moments if I could take a part. Then, I was told that I have 40 minutes to eat. Nowhere mentioned, but okay. Then, I was asked to order a drink. As I wanted to have a soup, I was not interested in a drink. The answer came promptly: "No drink, no sushi". It is okay to have special arrangements/offers, but nothing about the special conditions (time duration, obligatory drink order) was mentioned on the boards at the entrance. Purely the price.

We had made reservations for 6 people by phone and were looking forward to a cozy evening in this restaurant. But what awaited us there was a catastrophe. When we arrived at the agreed time, we were succinctly informed that they had simply forgotten our reservation. Instead, we had to wait like unwanted guests in a small space for over half an hour until we were finally moved to a table that was designed for a maximum of 4 people. Two more chairs were squeezed carelessly and cramped between them. Comfort? None! When the waitress asked about the drinks, two people in our group decided not to order anything. But instead of accepting this, we were brazenly and rudely forced to demand that everyone order something - an absurd and unacceptable demand! The situation continued to worsen: the two people on the squeezed chairs had to constantly get up because the space was so narrow that no one could pass without moving chairs. At some point it became too much for us and we wanted to move to a neighboring table that had now become vacant so that we could at least be able to sit comfortably. But instead of showing understanding, we were rudely shooed away and again forced to squeeze six of us at this tiny table. When we complained that it was so impossible to eat, the situation escalated completely: the host began to insult us cheekily and threatened us that we would have to stay there. That's when three of us decided to leave the store immediately. But that wasn't enough: the host also seriously demanded money from us, even though we hadn't received a single dish yet! Only after we threatened to call the police did he let us go. Conclusion: This store is a run down nightmare with incredibly rude staff. Friendliness? None. Service? A bad joke. Never again! We strongly advise against visiting this place.

Surprisingly good sushi for an all-you-can-eat place in this price range. I can definitely see myself becoming a regular customer.

We have been there several times and are thrilled with the large selection of sushi. There are creations on the production line here that we have never seen anywhere before. Some have cream cheese in them, so a bit limited for someone with intolerance. Personally, I didn't mind that, I can't eat dairy products myself, but there are so many other dishes that are delicious that it didn't matter that much to me. We also found the staff to be very friendly. We would love to come back!

We went for the running sushi. It has two levels - the lower one is for cold things, and the upper one is for warm things. Sadly, the upper level was better than the lower. The lower one had like 5 different types of sushi, and most of them were with avocado or cucumber. The beer was fresh, the staff was nice. the toilets were clean.

We discovered the lunch special here and immediately went for this really good price of €12.90 for all you can eat. You don't really expect much for the price, but the selection was extensive and the sushi was really good and fresh. And there were lots of desserts too. So great!!

Not exactly an attractive restaurant from the outside, but it's worth going in. Simple setup, not particularly fancy... But super delicious food! Treadmill upstairs with warm food and delicious sushi downstairs at a reasonable price. Lunchtime limited to 40 minutes, but - unlike other running sushi - I have never been asked to leave after sitting for a little longer.... Actually 5 stars+++, but I only give 4 out of 5 stars because when there isn't that much going on, the treadmill is only filled sporadically and you occasionally have to wait longer for refills to arrive....

Food top, price top, ambience a bit old. I'd love to come back.

We have been running for years. The quality is consistently good and there are always new creations. The ambience may not be the most modern, but the sushi is our main focus here!

So I usually come here for myself as a treat. I am autistic so i dont like how packed it usually is but eating there is worth it for me because the food is so nice. I asked the guy at the counter if he had a place for 1, he replied "40 minutes" I asked what he meant by that and he just kept on repeating himself, getting visibly angry at me just shouting "40 minutes" I still don't understand what I did wrong. This is my favourite place but I'm uncomfortable now. He motioned to a row of seats at the very back but I couldn't get through as there was a massive table full of people blocking my way. It was just too much for me so I had to go. It's a shame because the food is usually really nice, the uncle just needs to communicate in a way that doesn't Involve just two words and anger

Update 2024 : Unfortunately all the last times I was in this restaurant, staff were needlessly unfriendly and cold. I have been to eat there a lot of times in the past, I'm always polite and I tip a decent amount. I won't return because I feel uncomfortable with the hostile environment. If you hate running a restaurant so much, please choose a different profession. Calling this place a Japanese restaurant is kind of a misnomer. It's an all you can eat, pay and get out, Japanese style fast food joint. There is nothing wrong with that, as the fish is fresh and the prices are low. Staff will tell you quite firmly where to sit, how long you are allowed to stay, they obviously have to be very strict because some people can't behave. Don't expect much, they mainly have standard Maki and some Japanese sides like kelp salad. The warm dishes are mostly underseasoned faux Vietnamese and entirely forgettable. If you know that it's a fast food joint, come in and fill up on cheap Maki. The claims about old food sound strange to me, everything was really fresh and we've been here a lot.

A relatively cheap restaurant, but this is a big but, the service is not pleasant. The owners are very grumpy. The variety is not bad (relative to the price). Overall it was reasonable. Please note that in order to eat without limit you have to buy a drink and this is limited to sitting for an hour at the place.

I went to this restaurant with a friend. The food was good :) but the owner (?) was unfortunately very unfriendly. After 45 minutes he said we should move away from the running sushi band because the place was reserved. The restaurant was half empty, so my friend said we could go as soon as the people who made reservations arrived. He said no, we should get away from the assembly line (we didn't even eat much haha) and when my girlfriend asked why he said "don't ask, just go" and leaned over me and aggressively slammed the "window" of Running Sushi shut. We were both very shocked and wouldn't go back, even though the food wasn't bad.

Great-value running sushi. However, the variety of sushi isn't too great. I'd like to see some eel but I guess that eel doesn't fit the cost range of the restaurant. Still, great value. Just read the rules associated with the all-you-can-eat first and there won't be any surprises.

It's way too loud, and when I wanted to ask if I could get a table, I got an annoyed and rude/unfriendly answer from the service team. 'NO!!!' although you could also explain it politely.

The food is very tasty and varied. Have been there a few times and always very satisfied. In summer, the sweet sushi is an absolute highlight.

The store was empty, with at most 10 people in it, and they wouldn't accept us. And I have to say that the employee was very unfriendly

So I was there at lunchtime and the price-performance ratio is TOP. The food is diverse and delicious. 1 star deduction only because the fried noodles didn't taste like anything and the fried rice also looked dry. But that's complaining at a high level. Super nice service staff and the atmosphere is nice but you can tell that the shop is older and they should repair or replace a few things. With a drink and all you can eat lunch I paid 16-17 euros. :) + give a tip!

Everything delicious. Running Sushi is very varied and is always refilled quickly.

The food was great, it was really fun to get something out of the running sushi But I have 2 points of criticism: 1. The waitress just looked bored and annoyed. 2. Towards the end of the meal we were suddenly bitten by mosquitoes on our legs under the table -> better put mosquito spray on it so that something like that doesn't happen to you (they itched like hell)

I've been here several times and it's always delicious. There is a large selection with great quality. In my opinion, price performance is very, very good. What I particularly like is that I don't have the feeling that the ratio of rice to filling in sushi is uneven. Most sushi shops make way too much rice with little filling or toppings. Service was good. The ambience is debatable, it's old-fashioned and not particularly "Instagrammable", but the food is good and better this way than the other way around. So I can definitely recommend it!

Service absolutly disgraceful, however, very good signature dishes like the soy sauce cucumber maxi or the destructured sushi. A woman was eating all the sushis before it arrived at our table...

Food is ok, especially in terms of price performance. The waiter, I think the boss, is really the unfriendly waiter I have ever met. And I'm actually really not sensitive to it and I'm used to Viennese gastronomy. He didn't just have a bad day or anything, it's always like that. But the food is ok and that's why I keep coming back. But the waiter makes you feel unwelcome and treats you like a troublemaker and a piece of meat.

We were a bit skeptical at first because of some of the reviews here, but it was great! We went there for lunch with our 8 year old. There was always a good selection of food on both bands. I recommend it at any time 👍

Es war Okay, vor allem Preis-Leistung passt. Paar Sachen waren recht schnell leer auf dem Band aber es wurde auch wieder gut nachgefüllt.

While reading the reviews, I called the staff to ask if you HAD to buy a drink in order to EAT there (since I just wanted to eat and didn't want to have an extra drink). The question was answered very cheekily on the phone and when I asked why it was a MUST, they hung up on my face.

We were here today with 6 people. Quality was very good, there was a wide variety of choices (even for non-sushi lovers). Friendly and reliable service. Gladly again

As inconspicuous as the store looks from the outside, you are just as impressed from the inside. The furnishings are old-fashioned but clean, as are the toilets. But!!! Kindness is more than a given. The food was good, but the service was quite rude. + My chicken was raw and when I reported it, he took it away without comment and said afterwards: "It just happens.". Also, you have to order something to drink first before you can eat something, which I also find a bit stupid since the drinks are quite overpriced.

Very tasty running sushi with a very large selection of sushi, but also savory dishes, salads and desserts. Always small portions so that everyone can try many dishes. (But in plenty for "good eaters", don't worry!) Thanks to the large selection of hearty dishes (fried noodles, duck, etc.), even guests who don't like fish will find something to eat. Popular and more expensive dishes (salmon nigiri etc.) are also served in abundance. Price level good for Munich standards, even very good at lunchtime rates.

I visited in the evening, and after a long wait, I was shown a seat at a bar table at the very front of the sushi rail, and after 3 minutes of sitting down and starting to eat, we were told that we had to change our seat to the very end of the sushi rail 10 minutes later. He unilaterally notified us to change ours to the worst possible seats without explaining the reason. It's the worst!!!!!! We asked the reason, but the owner ignored us with no response. When we paid, we asked him again why, and he said it was because someone else had reserved a bar seat. But this was a lie!! Because we called before our visit to make a dinner reservation, but they said they don’t offer a reservation for bar table seats. So we just visited and waited, and after waiting for a while, we were lucky enough to get bar seats, but as soon as we sat down, they informed us that we had to change seats 10 minutes later. We couldn't reserve a bar seat, but they gave a reservation to someone else? And other guests who arrived later than us without reservations were not asked to change seats, but only we were forced to change our seats. I'm really angry. I was there for the first time today and I can only say that it is by far the best running sushi in Munich!! I tried them all but no other restaurant came even close to the taste and variations. The owner was super nice and attentive. This will now be my regular restaurant. Stupid if you don't go. Ready

Me and my family have been very satisfied with the food, service and reasonable prices for over twenty years.

Yesterday I opted for a la carte at lunchtime as the offerings are incredibly cheap and you get a reasonable portion. The low prices are probably due to the location, as there are four other Asian restaurants within a radius of around 260 m. Unfortunately there is not a single non-alcoholic Asian soft drink on the menu and you cannot pay at the table but are more or less politely ordered to the counter. A funny side effect is that the ventilation shaft is next to the top of the stairs and you can hear what's being said at the table next to the top of the stairs all the way into the toilet.

Had fried salmon, it was very good.

The food is fit with the price, everytime wanna eat sushi I will be here cause salmon is my fav, besides that they have side dishes taste good like chicken sate, tempura... Sometimes quite hard to find a parking place

After my friend and I sat down at a table for Running Sushi and were about to start eating, we were asked by a waiter what we would like to drink. When we said we were still looking, he said if we didn't order a drink, we couldn't start eating. We would definitely have ordered something to drink, but we went anyway out of principle and saved ourselves €50.
