Shoya Sushi in München

The most disgusting meal of my life! Thinly filleted fish, already rancid at the corners, draped on crumbly crispy rice balls - served on black hair. Are you serious, Shoya? You yourself would never bring garbage anywhere near your mouths - selling such rubbish to paying customers is not "having a bad day" - it must have been intentional... In more detail: I love sushi, I eat it with pleasure and regularly - probably a few thousand times in all kinds of countries. I'm not a purist: Of course you're interested in authentic Japanese sushi; But I can also make do with the Vietnamese sushi, which is more common in this country, or, if necessary, eat a take-away box or something from the delivery service; But then more as a side dish and just salmon, anything else would be too delicate for me. Now I was in PEP and suddenly had a real craving for sushi. In Kaufland there is a take-away counter that is surprisingly acceptable for the corresponding cravings. Certainly not “good”, but at least edible. No - I wanted something “sensible”, and even though my last visit to Shoya was a few years ago and was already rather sobering, I thought: Nothing could go wrong - I at least still think of the Shoya chain as being somewhat authentically Japanese guided in memory. So I ordered sashimi and a few nigiri and rolls to pick up half an hour later. I didn't get a receipt because there wasn't one. Good: Everyone can design their accounting as they see fit, and I actually don't care, but it somehow completes the overall picture that follows. I received my bag well tied. That was really their luck, otherwise I would have slapped them with such impudence. When we arrived home, we were unpacked and prepared full of anticipation. Normally my cats always come running happily to sushi and steal a piece or two of sashimi. They ran this time too, but in the other direction, after briefly sniffing at this impudence... Really: I've never seen anything like it. Even the most anti-social delivery service would be ashamed of what they gave me. The nigiri were neither Japanese (a little rice and a lot of fish) nor à la delivery service (a lot of rice, less fish) - but rather: a lump of rice the size of a grape (the rice was grainy and not soft, and apparently completely unseasoned), which was half of it The nigiri has already broken down into several pieces in the packaging, topped with a very thinly sliced ​​piece of fish. I was already thinking that maybe the sushi master was missing and they brought in the kebab chef from next door to help out; But only a true master can probably cut fish so finely as paper-thin. Some of the fish was already rancid at the ends, which means it was dried out and discolored. But the sashimi: They were just completely weird cut chunks that were in the box. The size is outstanding, but that really has nothing to do with sashimi... You could eat salmon, borderline tuna - I tried a piece of the rest and spat it out. At least one variety was definitely gone - I've never had anything so disgusting in my mouth. The rolls were also terrible: they were rolled strangely, they all fell apart before they were eaten, and they tasted miserable. The black hair that I then pulled out from under the sushi was the icing on the cake. I'm really not sensitive about things like that, but nothing really fit. “Sushi” that looked like something a five-year-old had creatively realized in his mom’s kitchen. Unseasoned, dried-out rice. Rancid fish. How on earth can you give something like that out to customers? Shame on you, Shoya. Pathetic and dangerous to health!

Since 2014, all Shoya restaurants/snack bars in Munich have belonged to a Vietnamese-run company - CHUNG & ANH GMBH. Unfortunately, shoya is no longer what it used to be...The gyoza and pork ordered today were frozen foods with no consistency. Food is super nice, especially the miso ramen soup. However the opening times are rather confusing. It says 9 am–8 pm online, however they don't let you sit there until 10:30 am. Happened multiple times now that I had to go because it was too early.

I was very surprised because from the outside it doesn't look particularly inviting. My friend had the bento box and I had the menu with noodle soup and sushi. The sushi tasted surprisingly fresh and airy. It was freshly prepared. The noodle soup was very small but the udon noodles were also very delicious. The bento box then completely created me. I haven't had the meat in it with the sauce yet. So I can really recommend the store. Not too expensive but very tasty. Had good restaurant quality even though it is a fast food restaurant. Running sushi doesn't taste as fresh as this.

This place is an absolute 1 star. The staff, super unfriendly, the food is even worse. To go along with your warm sushi a nice warm bottled soda. Yum! I didn’t see a sign stating cash only, it is cash only. Save your money and time.

You can get excellent sushi at a low price here. The small bento box for €12.50 is an absolute recommendation. The service is attentive and quick. The ambience is necessarily suboptimal due to its location in the corridor of the shopping center and some people will find it a bit drafty. Otherwise, the food is an absolute recommendation.

I am dependent on a handicapped assistance dog and unfortunately you are heavily discriminated against here because of your aid and put in the farthest and darkest corner and the lady makes you more than aware that you are not welcome... Very good Tonkotsu Ramen at a fair price. I also liked the sushi. The service was quick and friendly! The ambience is ok, you have to remember that you are still in a shopping center. After a long day of shopping, I can only recommend this Shoya.

Mein Udon Salat war mein kulinarisches Highlight meines heutigen Tages. Der Service war aufmerksam, das Essen kam schnell und überzeugte mit seiner Frische und seinem Geschmack. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen.

Immer wieder bin ich mal in München und nirgends so gut gegessen wie dort! Preis Leistung ist absolut Top! Getränke super günstig. Die Bento Box ein Traum. Schnelle und sehr freundlicher Service! Wenn man japanisch essen möchte, sollte man dort hin einen Abstecher machen. Die Mochi zum Mitnehmen waren auch absolut köstlich. 😊

The place looks nice, but the Ramen noodle was so too salty that almost not eatable. They don’t take card for payment, cash only which is strange for a restaurant! Not a friendly place and I never eat there again, even though I go to that mall every day.

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das SHOYA Restaurant am Viktualienmarkt in München zu besuchen und möchte meine begeisterte Meinung über dieses großartige Restaurant teilen. Vom Essen bis zum Service war alles erstklassig. Das kulinarische Erlebnis im Shoya war einfach hervorragend. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet, von hoher Qualität und von authentischem Geschmack geprägt. Die Auswahl an Sushi, Sashimi und anderen japanischen Spezialitäten war beeindruckend. Jeder Bissen war ein wahrer Genuss, und die Präsentation der Gerichte war ansprechend und ästhetisch. Der Service im Shoya war ebenfalls außergewöhnlich. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und immer bereit, alle Fragen zu beantworten. Sie waren sehr gut informiert über die verschiedenen Gerichte und halfen bei der Auswahl, um sicherzustellen, dass unsere Vorlieben und Bedürfnisse erfüllt wurden. Shoya steht seit vielen Jahren in München für sehr sehr gutes Sushi !! Immer frisch zubereitet und lecker.Dazu freundliches Personal und absolut faire Preise.

Essen to go ging super schnell und unkompliziert. Gute Preise. NUR Barzahlung. Essen war lecker. Kann ich empfehlen. Für Vegetarier/Veganer gibt es weniger Optionen leider aber man findet dennoch vereinzelt paar Sachen z.B. Sushi, Beilagen.
