Tsolias in Siegen

This was our first time at Tsolias in Siegen and we were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. The food selection is really good, with something for everyone. We were particularly impressed by the wide selection of drinks. The ambiance is simple, but perfectly fine for a snack bar. The food came quickly and tasted absolutely fantastic. The gyro was really juicy and well-seasoned, and the fries were nice and crispy. The portions are more than fair for the price; you'll definitely leave feeling full. All in all, a great visit. If you're looking for delicious Greek food without a long wait, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back.

The food was anything but Tzolia's style today. I was there for the first time when I was 16. The meat was okay, but not as good as usual. I'm disappointed.

We ate here with friends. We enjoyed the excellent service, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The price was still reasonable. We didn't find the ambiance particularly appealing, but it's also about the food, and it's a good snack bar. We'd be happy to come back.

The gyros was cold and tasteless, the salad was limp, too bad we weren't satisfied.

Seating is decent. The food was comparatively more expensive, but it was tasty. The price boards are very dated, so some of the prices are no longer legible. After about a year, none of the boards are legible anymore.

The best gyro in the world. Honestly, it's not exaggerated. No fat, hand-made gyro skewers, delicious salads and fries. The staff is incredibly friendly and super nice. I highly recommend everyone to eat here.

Tsolias is a very good Greek restaurant, especially the gyros pita is recommended (if you like a lot of tzatziki you should order an extra portion).

Today I would like to tell you about my experiences in the Tolias gyros grill. There are enough free parking spaces in front of the restaurant and in the surrounding area. The ambience is simple and functional but very cozy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is very good quality and tasty and the portions are very large. For me the best gyros in the city.

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. I have known the restaurant since I was a child. Previously the number 1 address for great gyros. Now the gyros is very rich, but tastes watery. Served cold. No more fries either Crispy and the service lacks friendliness. Too bad. Was there again after years. It was the last time.

I went there with a Turkish colleague and paid four euros for a Coke. What can I do for this argument between Turks and Greeks? I hope you go bankrupt, that's an impudence.

It was good food and, above all, a lot of it. For around €14 you get a plate full of gyros, fries and salad right up to the edge of your plate. The food came very quickly. It's more of a snack bar, but you can also sit comfortably.

The food is great. The portions are decent. With the exception of the boss, you have to state everything clearly and clearly, otherwise something will be forgotten or not written down correctly. It's just a snack bar, and so is the interior.

Best gyros I've known since 1985. I always went there with friends before going to evening school. Now I live a little further in the south of Germany and when I visit my parents or come back from the Far East I always stop there for a gyros with Plus, Plus. And it still tastes like it did on the first day. Great courteous staff. And no, nothing has changed. Still a great meal as ever. I love it. Thank you for always such delicious food.

So it's been very difficult lately to have one of the best gyros I've ever eaten for lunch, everything was super tasty and fresh. But in the evening the quality leaves a lot to be desired - you notice the team seems annoyed by the day and the love that was put into it during the day is suddenly missing and you immediately notice that in the quality

We were here for the first time today. We were very impressed with the super tasty and juicy gyros, crispy fries, tzatziki and a coleslaw. I only managed my portion with help. We'll be back!

In my opinion, you get the best gyros in Siegen here. Always consistently high quality. Meat, fries, salad, tzatziki - everything tastes great.

Ordered a gyros pita for 8 euros, a gyros plate for 12 euros and 2 cokes for a total of 26 euros! The service was very quick. The gyro was cold because it came from a collecting vat. For 8 euros you can expect something. For me the Gyros Pita wasn't worth 5 euros. Conclusion: A no go and therefore goodbye.

I ordered something to take away: On the way I noticed that there were no spoons, forks or napkins. The taste of the food was average, but the price was a little above average.

The food is nothing too special for the price. An alternative to the cheap fries would be great, because some of the fries for me and my friends were too hard. Since the fries make up at least 50% of the plate, this is a big loss in terms of food quality. The order card will only be brought out after a few minutes, you have to order at the checkout and pay for it. In restaurants with good service, this is done at the table! Grandpa, who is probably a decorative item and probably the owner of the Ladensam, sits at the counter and doesn't even greet the guests who have arrived, he doesn't even raise his head and hand you the order card - service is ZERO. For the price I'd rather get 2 premium kebabs next to the Babylon Restaurant.

6.5/10 To be honest, I wouldn't describe Tsolias as a high-quality Greek restaurant. The shop here is divided into two parts and at first there was some confusion about where you could actually order. You have to pick up the menu cards yourself at the table and then go to the checkout and order yourself. But this is not in the half where we were sitting, but in a completely different room. Payment is also made in front of the cash register instead of directly at the table. For the prices here I expect a little more service. But the food isn't bad, even if the meat in the gyros was fried a little too long and the fries were served slightly hard. However, everything else was definitely tasty. I can recommend the grill plate and souvlaki plate.

Best Greek I know. I've been coming here for over 20 years, always consistent quality. Only the furnishings are not typically Greek.

A trip into the past! I have been visiting the store for 39 years now. We drove there in the first car and then went to the “Fisch Disco” and got a foundation in our stomachs. Next year the cult Greek from Siegen will be 40 years old. My daughter now also likes Gyros Pita and preferably from there! Thank you, it was delicious as always!

I was there yesterday and ordered a grilled plate, the food came after about 30 minutes, which is completely ok, but the food was too cold, as a lot of out-of-home orders were probably more important than guests. The tables were anything but clean and when I was asked if everything was OK, I said: the food was good, it was just too cold, the lady wasn't interested in that. I can't recommend it

The food is super delicious. The tzatziki was unique, the best I've eaten so far. Ambiance in the front area wasn't very nice, everything was old and the chairs and benches were worn out and partly broken. In the other area, however, things are looking very good. The employees are friendly. However, I think a star deduction for the high price of 16.50 euros for a souvlaki plate in a fast food restaurant is very exaggerated. The taste was convincing but the prices are definitely too high for me. Not even a good Greek restaurant is that expensive.

Actually a very good shop, the outside is a bit old. After the last price increase, the general price is unfortunately very high compared to other gyros shops. You get a huge portion for this, but personally you would rather pay 10-12 euros for a smaller portion instead of almost 15 euros for a gigantic portion. Tzaziki tastes very authentic and the gyros themselves are very well seasoned.

Cult, “The Gyros Grill” in Siegen. Unfortunately the prices are not really cheap.

Very friendly staff. The orders come quickly and the food is really good. If you're in a hurry and you're really hungry, this place is a good place to go.

We've actually been regular guests for years, but after our visit yesterday we're certainly not anymore! As always, we ordered two gyros with a portion of tzatziki, a portion of fries with mayo and two drinks. The price of €33.80 is very sporty for a fast food snack. But since we have always been very satisfied, we accepted it that way. When we got our gyros, however, we discovered that it was very dry and not particularly tasty. The fries were, as always, very good. When I asked the waitress about the poor quality, she simply told me that the gyros were, as always, in a very rude tone. I explained to her several times that it had never been so dry. Her reaction was that she turned away and left us alone with the complaint. OK, you can do that, but we will never enter this snack bar again. This will save us a lot of money in the future, which we would like to invest somewhere else where it tastes better and the service is much better.

So first the positive, the portions were plenty, but we both found the meat very dry and rather flat in terms of seasoning. And expensive too, €24.80 for 2 portions of gyros with fries and mayo. And what I find strange is that you have to pay extra for tzatziki. And the kicker was a bottle of Fanta for €4 and that wasn't a big bottle. Conclusion: You get full, but for expensive money.

Delicious food and friendly staff. However, there is a great need for renovation in the area where the kitchen is. The 80s reign here and it seems a bit run down, even though it is clean!

I've seen several families come and go over 35 years and have always been a fan. However, the last few times have been absolutely disappointing! We've slowed down a lot :-(

I ordered a grill plate to take away. The meat was very dry and the taste still gives me chills. My husband tried it too and said he wouldn't even give it to the dog to eat. Never again, are served. Also the arrogance of the owner, impossible.

Very good gyros for decades but unfortunately you can see that too. Nevertheless, the gyros are one of the best in Siegerland. If you don't care about the ambience but like good gyros, you've come to the right place

I was with my girlfriend at the front where you order. On the ceiling there is a woman who prepares the food and always sneezes over the food. She doesn't stop and I don't understand that kind of thing in the catering industry. My girlfriend had to throw up at home after eating and she leaves The health department has to know that you'll never go back to something like that, it doesn't work with sneezing, there are other options to eat somewhere else, it's very disappointing

Definitely the best gyros in town. I've been coming here again and again for decades (!) and the quality here is always really high. Great portions at fair prices. What more could you want? :-)

I eat here regularly and have absolutely no complaints. I also don't understand the complaints here about the unfriendly service and, above all, the bad ambience. Tsolias is not a 5 star restaurant, but a snack bar. The boss is taciturn but friendly and makes great food. And that's exactly how a snack bar should be. The back area is a bit fancier and you have the freedom to choose where you sit down. Once it happened to the boss that my cheese was too dark. He asked me if he should make me a new one. I said I'd just try it. And lo and behold: it was exactly right, and since then I have always preferred the cheese to be a little darker. He knows that now and does it straight away. If that's not great service, I don't know what is. All in all a very good snack with delicious gyros. And yes, the portions are large. But shouldn't we be more happy about it?

Good food, not a real restaurant, more fast food in terms of ambience... Prices okay We were charged an extra service fee due to VAT increases in restaurants, even though we had to order our own food at the counter...but that's just a small negative criticism.

Great Greek snack bar or restaurant in Siegen. From gyros to bifteki, schnitzel and salads, everything is offered here in very good quality. Soft drinks, beer and coffee specialties are also offered. Lots of comfortable seating inside and a few parking spaces in front of the house. Nice staff and fair prices.

Ich hatte Gyros pita ohne Salat und Gyros komplett bestellt. Die Portion pita war recht klein für 7 Euro. Da habe ich mehr erwartet. Wenn man schon ohne Salat bestellt, kann man wenigstens etwas mehr Fleisch erwarten. Der Salat kommt nach wie vor aus der Dose mit reichlich Branntweinessig drin, das geht besser wenn man wollen würde. Das ist nicht positiv zu bewerten. Geschmacklich insgesamt aber ganz gut. Bei dem Gyros komplett fehlten die Zwiebeln. Für das Geld wäre es vielleicht auch gut die Portion etwas größer zu machen. Zumindest etwas.

Comida griega muy popular. Buen sabor y un servicio rápido. Para comer algo rápido y de calidad.

Wir holen seit Jahren wenn wir in der Nähe sind dort mal einen Gyrosteller. Jedoch war der letzte Gyros sehr versalzen, und es gibt wohl keinen Bohnensalat mehr. Schade eigentlich der war immer sehr lecker......

Immer noch so gut wie seit Jahren schon. Dort bin ich schon zu Schülerzeiten in den 80igern gewesen. Immer eine super Adresse für ein perfektes Gyros.

Heute waren wir hier und haben Gyros zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Wie immer war das Personal sehr freundlich, unsere Bestellung wurde zügig behandelt. Das Essen war ein Gyros erster Klasse, wie immer bei euch. Riesige Portionen zum satt werden und ein richtig gut gewürztes Fleisch, so wie wir es seit Jahren kennen und schätzen. Danke für das super leckere Mittagessen ;)

Es gibt wirklich große Portionen, die äußerst sättigend sind. Das Hähnchen auf dem Grillteller war sehr saftig und das Tzaziki sehr lecker. Aufgrund des hohen Betriebs (ca 10 Gäste und 6 Bestellungen zum Mitnehmen) wurden die Teller etappenweise fertig gemacht, wodurch die Pommes leider fast kalt waren, als es mir überreicht wurde. Das Gyros hätte ein wenig krosser sein können. Da ich allerdings vermute, dass das den vielen Bestellungen geschuldet war, kann man wirklich ein Auge zudrücken. Das Bifteki hingegen hat leider gar nicht geschmeckt, war sehr sehr trocken und hatte eine ungewöhnliche Würzung. Schade fand ich auch, dass man trotz des stolzen Preises von 15€ für den Grillteller dazu verpflichtet ist Tzaziki für den Aufpreis von nochmal 1€ dazu zu nehmen. Aber nun gut. Im Allgemeinen hat es aber geschmeckt und ich würde wiederkommen, um andere Gerichte zu probieren

Ehrliches, bodenständiges Gyros! Eine sehr große Portion, die intensiv gewürzt ist, allerdings ein wenig trocken daher kommt. Der Salat war auch recht einfach gehalten. Einrichtung ist sehr einfach und etwas abgelegt.

November 2023: Heute alles perfekt. Damals: Heute war es zum ersten mal nicht so gut. Die Pommes von mir und meinen Kollegen waren "wabbelig" und das Fladenbrot auch nicht ganz frisch. Es bröckelte ganz stark. Vll. hatten die mal einen schlechten Tag. Den normalerweise gehe ich hier gerne hin.

Das Essen ist gut. Ein Restaurant wo man auf jeden Fall essen gehen kann. Die Preise sind vergleichbar mit den anderen griechischen Restaurants in der Umgebung.

Große Portion, aber das Gyros leider zu salzig.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Tsolias. Man wurde ganz nett empfangen, womit ich eigentlich bei einem Imbiss gar nicht gerechnet habe und man hat das Essen zu sich an den Platz gebracht bekommen. Das war aber auch schon leider das einzig positive. Das Gyros hat mir leider nicht wirklich gut geschmeckt. Es war trocken und zu salzig. Da bin ich besseres gewöhnt. Pommes waren ganz gut und Salat war auch in Ordnung. Tzatziki war hingegen wieder nicht so gut. Schmeckte eher wie ein purer Joghurt als alles andere. Das Essen war also alles in allem nicht gut aber auch nicht besonders schlecht aber Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich verschieden. Zum Schluss bin ich dann nach vorne gegangen, um zu bezahlen und dann hat (vermutlich) der Besitzer relativ unfreundlich abkassiert. Auf ein Hallo und ein Tschüss gabs keine Antwort, sondern nur einen mürrischen Blick und man hat sich in dem Moment wie eine Kunde zweiter Klasse gefühlt. Wäre das nicht passiert, hätte ich wahrscheinlich noch drei Sterne gegeben. Würde ich wiederkommen? Eher nicht. Mal gucken, wie die anderen Griechen in Siegen so sind. Schade! Edit: Was man vielleicht noch ergänzen sollte, ist, dass die Preis-Leistung tatsächlich für den großen Berg Gyros den ich bekommen habe ziemlich gut ist. Edit: Danke für die Antwort. Wie ein Kunde zweiter Klasse habe ich mich gefühlt, nach dem sie mir beim abkassieren weder auf mein Hallo noch auf mein Tschüss oder sonst irgendwas geantwortet haben. Der Empfang war ja, wie gesagt, nett deswegen hab ich dem Service auch 3 Sterne statt 1 Stern gegeben. Wir können auch die Formulierung ändern und sagen, dass ich mich nicht wie ein Kunde zweiter Klasse sondern in dem Moment einfach schlecht gefühlt habe. Macht es das besser? Eher nicht oder?

Sehr familiäres Unternehmen. Inhaber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich wohl. Sehr zu empfehlen.

晚上七點多過去用餐，當時人潮蠻多的，會忙碌是可以理解的。 不過我們的餐點等了一個多小時…都還沒上菜。從客滿等到人潮全部離開，餐點都沒有上。 之後去櫃檯詢問，過了一陣子才上餐。 餐點份量十足，絕對可以吃的很飽。 薯條是現炸的，很好吃。 配菜沙拉也很爽口，但是肉品偏乾、柴，牛肉餅燒焦，雞肉串也燒焦，有點可惜。

Leider ist die Qualität des Gyros Fleisches nicht mehr so gut wie bisher.auch die Getränke Preise sind nicht akzeptabel...ich werde den Imbiss in Zukunft nicht mehr besuchen

Weil Sonntag viele Gasthöfe im Sauerland um 14:30 zu haben,war das eine Notlösung um etwas zu Essen zu bekommen. 30 Minuten extra noch bis Siegen gefahren. Ambiente ok, Bedienung freundlich. Aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Viel zu teuer die Speisen,bei uns im Rheinland ist das wesentlich besser. Auch die Pommes waren da dünn und mickrig wie MCD. Salat liebelos,Feta hatte.einen undefinierbaren Geschmack. Gyros und Tzatziki waren ok.

Riesige Portion für wenig Geld. Das Gyros in der Größe groß hat 10,50 € gekostet. Dafür gab es so eine große Portion die ich nicht einmal aufessen konnte. Wer also Hunger hat bzw sehr großen Hunger, sollte das große Menü wählen. Für alle anderen reicht eine normale Portion.
