Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Jeder Zeit wieder.

Wir waren schon ein paar Mal hier bei Estia und kommen immer wieder gerne zurück. Das Essen ist jedes Mal sehr lecker, frisch und authentisch griechisch. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Klare Empfehlung, wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch! Einfach nummer 1!

Das Essen war einfach nur köstlich und es hat uns dort außerordentlich gut gefallen. Tolles Ambiente und nettes Personal. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Nettes Personal, gutes Essen. Kleines Restaurant mit Ambiente.

Der Kellner nimmt die Bestellung von vier Personen auf, eher schlecht gelaunt als höflich, und dann fehlte die dazu gebuchte Metaxasauce auf einem der Essen und der Kellner meinte noch, das wäre so nicht bestellt gewesen. Dann mussten wir nochmal ewig warten, bis dann die Nachbesserung kam. Das Essen der anderen drei war entsprechend lauwarm geworden. Das geht so nicht. Hier muss der Service deutlich verbessert werden. Das Essen war ok.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag meiner Mutter seit langer Zeit nochmals in diesem Restaurant. Schon beim Reinkommen wurden wir sehr kühl vom Service empfangen und zu einem Tisch geführt. Auch den Hinweis, dass meine Mutter Geburtstag hatte, wurde mit keiner Geste erwidert. Dieser Umgangston wurde wahrend dem ganzen Aufenthalt so weiter aufrecht gehalten. Auch der Hinweis vom Kellner beim Servieren der Speisen und Getränke, das man gefälligst die Handys vom Tisch entfernen sollte, kann man freundlicher gestalten. Meine Mutter wollte gerne den Besuch und das Essen in Bildern festhalten, da sollte man bei einer älteren Person mehr Respekt zeigen. Auch das nachdem wir fertig mit dem Essen gewesen sind der Tisch nicht abgeräumt wurde ist sehr schade, da man dadurch keine Möglichkeit mehr hatte Getränke nach zu bestellen. Wir konnten aber sehr gut beobachten, das Das Personal tatsächlich wichtigere Dinge zu erledigen hatten, der eine musste mit einem Kaffe vor der Tür seine Pause mit einer Zigarette verbringen, die andere musste immer mit leeren Händen in die Küche laufen ohne einen Blick zu den besetzten Tischen und eine weiter Person hinter der Theke musste nicht benutzte Gläser nachpolieren. Es ist sehr schade, das der Service hier leider nicht mehr so ist, wie wir es früher hier erlebt haben. Für uns ist jedoch klar, dass wir im Estia nicht mehr reservieren werden.

Von außen wirkt das Restaurant eher schlicht, aber innen ist es wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt. Das Essen war richtig lecker und besonders gut gewürzt. Vor allem die Kalbsleber war hervorragend! Butterweich und perfekt zubereitet. Insgesamt ein wirklich gelungener Besuch und definitiv ein Restaurant, das man weiterempfehlen kann.

Wir haben hier einen geschmacklich guten Abend verbracht, wenngleich die Speisenpräsentation und die Aromatik keinen bleibenden "Aha-Effekt" hinterließen. Leider litt das Ambiente unter dem mangelnden Sitzkomfort der in die Jahre gekommenen Bestuhlung. Für ein Haus in dieser Preisklasse ist die Verwendung von Kunstfloristik zudem eher unvorteilhaft. Der Service war zwar freundlich, ließ aber die professionelle Herzlichkeit bei der Verabschiedung vermissen. Ein Investment in das Interieur und etwas mehr Fokus auf die Service-Exzellenz würden dem Potenzial des Restaurants deutlich besser gerecht werden.

Das wohl bekannteste griechische Restaurant in Siegen ist das Estia-Restaurant, das authentische mediterrane Küche bei herzlicher Gastfreundschaft bietet. Wir sind acht Personen und haben für ein Geburtstagsessen bei Oberkellner Christos reserviert. Der freundliche Empfang und ein toller großer Tisch vor dem Schankbereich versprechen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Mehrere hübsch dekorierte Räumlichkeiten mit einem kunstvoll errichteten Kamin als Raumteiler verdeutlicht das Wort „Estia“ als Herd respektive Feuerstelle als Zentrum des gastlichen Hauses, das offensichtlich an Estia, die Göttin des Herdes in der griechischen Mythologie erinnern soll. Vorab werden den Kindern Malblöcke und Stifte gereicht und wir blättern intensiv in der umfangreichen Speisenkarte mit ca. 120 Gerichten. Als Vorspeisen entscheiden wir uns für Kalamari mit Tzaziki nebst Feta in Öl mit Oregano und diversen Gemüsen. Als Hauptgang werden diverse Gyros und Mixgrill Teller wie Gyros-, Athen-, Mykonos- oder Kretateller neben frischem gegrillten Lachsfiletspießen respektive Kalamari-Ringe mit Broccoli, Reis und Salat gereicht. Alle Speisen sind frisch auf den Punkt zubereitet und werden in zeitlicher Abfolge ohne Verzögerungen an den Tisch gebracht. Die Restaurantbediensteten achten darauf, dass es an Getränken nicht mangelt. Wir sind alle rundherum sehr zufrieden und bedanken uns für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft mit dem Versprechen, das beliebte Restaurant bald wieder zu besuchen.

Ich war hier mit meiner Mutter. Das Essen war super und die Bedienung freundlich. Ich bin zwar ein sehr verwöhnter Italiener und finde selten befriedigende Restaurants, aber hier alles sehr gut. Danke.

Der Empfang war perfekt, der Koch sehr freundlich. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich, wir waren mehrere Abende dort und alles war ausgezeichnet.

Am Abend waren wir mit Freunden zum essen hier. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und für die ganz kleinen gab es zum überbrücken Malstifte und Papier wo sie etwas ausmalen konnten. Haben wir noch in keinem Lokal gehabt. Die warte Zeit bis das essen kam war normal, trotz sehr viel betrieb. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker da gab es nichts zu meckern. Auch die Portionen für die Kids waren gut. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Das Essen war leider nicht gut. Das Fleisch war nicht lecker. Insgesamt fand ich es nicht überragend. Leider geizt die Bedienung mit dem Olivenöl. Die Olivenölflasche, nach der wir gefragt hatten, wurde nach fünf Minuten wieder zurückverlangt. What?!? Warum??? Man fragt uns ernsthaft, ob es in Ordnung ist, die Ölflasche wieder mitzunehmen – als gäbe es im Restaurant nur eine einzige Olivenölflasche oder was? Keiner wollte und brauchte Öl in dem Augenblick, nur wir! Das geht gar nicht. PS: Wir haben danach noch einmal nach der Olivenölflasche gefragt. 😉

The food was delicious, but the service staff's tone was unacceptable! We visited the restaurant as a group of 12 for a Christmas party. The table had been reserved several months in advance. However, the greeting upon arrival was very cold and dismissive, giving the impression that larger groups were not welcome. The tone remained harsh and at times cynical, even rude, throughout the meal. A polite request for a vegetarian dish was met with the accusation that the table had been reserved for so long. They could have at least called ahead. Now they couldn't do anything special. No compromise was offered within their menu. The person in question had to make do with a small side salad and an appetizer. Throughout the rest of the evening, there were further instances where we, as guests, were treated rudely and provocatively. The service for drinks was rather slow... Despite clearly indicating that we wanted to order more drinks, we were left waiting for about 20 minutes before our order was finally placed. We understand that there may be waiting times due to staff shortages, but these situations can almost be perceived as harassment. This is not how hospitality should be treated! We are therefore in agreement... We will not be visiting Restaurant Estia again, not even privately...

A decent Greek restaurant with a beautifully designed interior and solid Greek food, but unfriendly service. The food was standard and nothing special. Unfortunately, we didn't experience any particular friendliness or warmth. Drinks were received with a grumble, food was served with a phone number, and new drink orders were only accepted upon request. This wasn't the hospitality we've come to expect from vacations in Greece and other restaurants. We didn't really feel at home.

Super cute and delicious restaurant, we always eat here when we visit home. This year we were there in the summer for the first time and sat outside. I would have liked a candle to ward off mosquitoes and wasps, and some music in the background. Otherwise, it was great again!

Don't let the exterior and location put you off. The construction site will be gone eventually. It's very nice inside, and the food is absolutely delicious. Not to mention the very friendly and attentive service.

We went to this lovely restaurant for the second time today. And once again we were rewarded with first-class food and were able to enjoy a great atmosphere. The food is very tasty and as diverse as Greek cuisine is and there is always something new to discover. Restaurant Estia Siegen – center of Greek cuisine and hospitality The name of the Greek restaurant Estia is derived from the word “stove” in Greece, the center of domestic life. In a figurative sense, the Estia restaurant in Siegen is a central place for well-kept food and proverbial hospitality. We were there for a small birthday party and were able to choose from the extensive menu (210 dishes) between cold and warm starters and soups, fresh salads, Greek specialties, mixed grill dishes, meat platters, burgers, pasta, pan-fried, fish and vegetarian dishes as well as desserts. For the Siegerlanders who are very close to their homeland, schnitzel is also on the menu. We opted for a mixed starter plate and squid rings with tzatziki, various meat plates (Greek specialties), salad with grilled prawns and, for dessert, galaktoburiko, a Greek pastry with pudding filling and original semi-sweet Greek mocha. All dishes were served quickly and were of the best quality. We particularly liked the quality and freshness of the food, the unobtrusive, very friendly staff and generally the nice atmosphere of the well-run restaurant. We'd love to come back!

Food was very tasty! The garlic potatoes and homemade fries as a side dish are special. Really something different than always rice or industrial fries. It's also great that you can order smaller portions. Staff friendly too. Can be recommended and it wasn't the last time. Pre-order a table early! Parking directly at the restaurant is only possible for around 6 cars and is very tight, so it's better to look for something in the area. What bothered us a bit was the noise in the main room, but still: gladly again

Update: Today we were there again. After the renovation, I don't like the ambience that much. Which is a matter of taste. But the climax follows. I have reserved. For 2 adults and 2 children (I said straight away that they might not come with me but I made a reservation just to be on the safe side.) Yes, it was ok. I wasn't told that I should let you know again. So I didn't think about it. That was probably very bad. Because the lady then became extremely upset. Unfortunately I can speak Greek... well she doesn't serve us anymore then the nice gentleman took over. And the same when paying. She didn't come. Then he did that too. Very unfortunate. We liked being there. But that probably doesn't fit anymore. Absolutely nice service. Very very good food. Big portions. We would love to come back. In my opinion, the tzatziki could be a little stronger, but everyone has a different taste. Otherwise really very good restaurant

Friendly service and delicious food

Rundum perfekt! Schon beim eintreten zog uns leckerer Essensduft in die Nase. Dazu das schöne Ambiente mit super freundlicher Bedienung, hat mich sofort gut abgeholt. Die Stimmung war gut und der Einstieg mit einem gemischten Salat war prima. Ich hatte das Gyros mit Kartoffeln gewählt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Super lecker und die Portionsgröße war genau richtig. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Ich hatte auch das Gefühl das einige Gäste auch länger verweilen. Es hat auch etwas mit guter alter Kneipenatmosphäre. Wir haben beschlossen, das wir hier öfter essen werden. Danke für den schönen Abend. Macht weiter so.

We were just there for the first time and it was TOP! The decor is minimalistic and not overloaded but still really great. The service is very friendly. The entire process was smooth and the food from the starter to the main course was excellent and perfectly timed ! The food was very tasty and guys, we'll give you a tip: Instead of fries, use the potato slices with fresh garlic!!!! They're an absolute dream!!!!!!!!!! We'll be back! 2024: We have been there many, many times since then and everything is still TOP! Absolutely recommended!!!!!

The parking lot of the restaurant itself fills up quite quickly. The service was ok, very busy but tried not to leave you alone. The food was solid German Greek food. Of course, the food wasn't like it was flown in from Greece, it's as good as ever in Germany, so expectations of authenticity weren't high anyway. Meat was good. But there are too few flavor variations in the dishes. Everything from pork tastes very similar. And the fries are a bit underseasoned. Otherwise it was a solid Greek meal like you can get anywhere in a reasonable portion. The taste is good, but it doesn't knock your socks off either. It would also be nice to have a few more traditional Greek dishes on the menu.
