Very tasty food (has the steak from the specials board - it was "melt in your mouth" 👍). Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Would recommend !

We had reserved a table for four people at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. After a while, the waitress came to take our drinks, and we were allowed to order something to eat... Then things went downhill... We waited about two hours for our food, and the reordering of drinks was also very slow. When someone at our table ordered a woodruff lemonade, we were told that they were currently out of woodruff syrup. Okay... so we chose something else. But five minutes later, when another table ordered the woodruff lemonade, it suddenly became available... strange thing... There were still many empty tables, and there was apparently a group of 20 people who had just arrived and should have had priority... I personally found it very cheeky that they didn't even come to the table during those two hours to maybe let us know that it would be a little longer or if we needed anything... It wouldn't have been a problem. It made you feel very alone, and your stomach was in your knees, because you wanted something to eat at some point. I didn't think the food was anything special... burgers and fries... The restaurant itself could use a fresh coat of paint... All in all, it was a worthwhile experience, but I wouldn't go back.

We visited "Zum Taubenschlag" in Friedrichsdorf on a Thursday and had a very good experience overall. The food was truly delicious, with a fine selection and good value for money. The staff was super friendly – ​​you can tell it's a family-run restaurant where you feel welcome. The only minor drawback: it was quite loud. Because the restaurant has small, rather narrow spaces, the noise level is quite noticeable, especially when it's busy. But considering that, it's absolutely fine, and we would come back.

Delicious food. And especially friendly, attentive service. Very, very personable!

Once upon a time, the tenant is in well-earned retirement. The two butchers are currently renovating as hard as they can. I'm excited about the new Beef Club.
