Food like in Greece: delicious dishes, good service, and reasonable prices. Conclusion: I'd gladly go back.

The fish platter is recommended, as is the dive bar schnitzel.

We've been eating there every now and then for many years. Unfortunately, over the years, only the prices have increased, while the quality of the food has gone in the opposite direction. The prices would generally be reasonable (around €16-20 for a grilled platter), but the fries were soggy and the souvlaki was, at best, streaky with fat, and at worst, pressed meat. It would be better to leave out the side salads before serving a few iceberg lettuce with a tomato, a cucumber, and carrot strips. Unfortunately, the staff couldn't comment on the drinks either. We may have had Brinkhoffs, but maybe also Fiege. No one knew for sure; glasses for both were a random mix.

Update: I'm full. Simple Greek dishes. Portions have been larger in the past. Just an ouzo on the house at the end. Expensive.

My favorite Greek restaurant in Bochum for years

I've ordered twice. The first time, my taxi plate came with onions even though I'd requested without... not so tragic, but with my second order, it arrived 90 minutes late and my taxi plate didn't have any sauce. I tried to call, but when I explained my problem, I was simply disconnected, and my subsequent calls were immediately disconnected. What a disgrace! I advise you to order from somewhere else.

Today we ate on the terrace with three people, three dogs (two Eurasiers and one small terrier), and a baby. Initially, when we made the reservation, they were skeptical about the three dogs. They were told to stay under the table at all costs. Since our dogs are very well-behaved, they did this without any problems. Service was quick, our order was placed, and then the food arrived – as is typical for Greek restaurants – quite quickly. The menu is extensive, and there are plenty of beers. Unfortunately, even minor changes to our order incur an additional charge. Hence, one star deduction. To exchange the sauce for satziki, you have to pay an additional €1.80. Why? That's not customer-friendly. The food was good, the meat was well-grilled, the salad was tasty. The prices are reasonable, the service friendly, and the dogs were given water. We were very satisfied – except for this outrageous surcharge policy.

Positive: Nice outdoor area. Even though it was packed, the service was very good. Nice seating. Negative: Salad: Iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato and cucumber. Topped with finely grated carrots, which, as far as I know, is a processed product. Meat: Cooked thoroughly. Medium doesn't seem to match the number of guests. Metaxa sauce: A brown mess with no particular flavor. A processed product.

The food here is truly delicious. No matter what you're in the mood for, everything appeals to you and is delicious. The ambiance, thankfully for me, isn't overly modern but charmingly cozy. It's nice to sit outside and won't get wet even in a heavy shower. Unfortunately, we didn't really get along with the waiters - the service could have been a bit better. We were probably just being too silly 😉. Nevertheless, I'd happily come back - after all, the food really impressed me!!!

Unfortunately, there were very loud arguments among the staff. The noise level was very high. We found the waiters to be unfriendly. Perhaps they were also annoyed by the previous argument. In any case, you can't treat guests in such an annoyed manner. We weren't impressed by the food. But that's a matter of taste. The mayonnaise was measured out. Leftover food was forgotten and probably thrown away by mistake.

In my opinion, it's not enough to warrant a recommendation. The place is always quite busy. Honestly... I'm still looking for a good "Greek" restaurant...

The food and service were great.

Went there for the first time today. Tzaziki and the salad beforehand were very tasty. In the case of the Paris plate, the gyros were unfortunately laced with a lot of fat and the sheep's cheese was missing from the bifteki. The souvlaki was good and so were the fries. Metaxa sauce and mushroom sauce weren't convincing, I know that better. Portions were more than sufficient. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they seemed extremely listless.

Super great Greek restaurant in Bochum and currently the only restaurant where we still eat (as a matter of principle) because the price and performance are still right here. In most other restaurants you are sometimes just "ripped off" in terms of price, everyone blames it on inflation and many people fill their pockets - the guest will pay for it... No need! “Sometimes less is more” the management here obviously understood... In Mythos everything is correct, the prices are reasonable, the quality of the food is delicious to excellent! The service is friendly, nice and quick. Even if it's full, you'll be served straight away and the drinks and food don't take long. For these reasons we always enjoy eating there, many thanks to the team!

We were at the restaurant on a Friday evening around 6 p.m. This was very well attended, but we managed to get a place for three without a reservation. The service was very busy and as a result seemed short, so there were also mistakes when ordering. The following complaint was dealt with promptly. I have to admit I didn't pay much attention to the ambience, but it didn't seem disturbing or inappropriate. The food was good, for me it was a baked bifteki in metaxa sauce with tomato rice and a side salad. The portions are generous, as you would expect from Greek restaurants, even the small portion of my companion was generous. Afterwards we were offered ouzo. Since we wanted to go to a concert, we didn't stay for dessert.

Even if 1 star is deducted, this is a REALLY good restaurant! Service was very friendly, accommodating and quick. Food is top class, super tasty. Very tasty sauces as well as delicious tzatziki and tzatziki is a thing. The skewer we had, a good 35 cm long, could also be called a skewer. The lamb is simply top! And not all lamb is the same when it comes to preparation, as we all certainly know. We would love to come back 😌👍🏻

Overpriced. Unfortunately the quality has declined. There are hardly any Greek alternatives in Wiemelhausen. Apparently it's enough to run the restaurant lucratively. The Metaxa sauce was tasteless. You get full.

Good food - top price/performance. Not as expensive as almost everywhere else these days... The food is really tasty, but the portions are sometimes a bit too small. But it's ok because the prices are somewhat more moderate compared to other restaurants... If you're really hungry you should treat yourself to a starter or dessert just to be on the safe side. The ambience is nothing special but the tables and the whole restaurant etc. make a very clean and well-kept impression. The staff is very nice and attentive. The terrace is a nice place to sit in the summer. Smokers can also legally smoke on the terrace. The tables are not too close together, so you can sit discreetly and not be filled with smoke from the neighboring table... Lovers of Greek cuisine will get their money's worth at Mythos and will be satisfied. But you can also eat, for example, a Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad. The Champion cream sauce was fresh and homemade and really delicious. McDonald's fries included, made in fresh fryer oil, also delicious. The pork schnitzel was also ok but unfortunately only from the deep fryer. It would have tasted even better fresh out of the pan. The extremely tasty Champion cream sauce compensated for this well. All in all, a restaurant that is absolutely recommended. There is also a moderate amount of parking space around the restaurant.

Nice beer garden. Food quite tasty. Unfortunately, the farmer's salad was very coarsely cut and the dressing in the form of a kind of yogurt sauce was not that tasty. There is still room for improvement here. Sanitary facilities clean and sufficient.

We have been here many times and have always been greeted in a very friendly manner and treated to delicious food and drinks. The restaurant also has a pleasant covered terrace where you can sit very comfortably when the weather is good. We always like to come back.

Zu viert zu Abend gegessen und es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben gut gesessen, es war sauber und angenehm eingerichtet. Die Gerichte waren durchweg schmackhaft, sauber und ordentlich zubereitet. Mengenmäßig nicht zu viel, aber auch nicht zu wenig. Der service war angenehm und zügig, Essen kam also recht schnell auf den Tisch. Es wurde Ouzo aufs Haus angeboten. Die Preisgestaltung war moderat und fair. Was hätte noch besser sein können? Der Krautsalat war frisch gemacht, das fand ich prima, er hatte aber wohl etwas viel Essig abbekommen; auf den anderen Salaten war eine vermeidbare Cocktailsoße, da hätten wir im nachhinein lieber Essig und Öl bestellt. Es war ein schönes Abendessen. Wir werden dort in der Zukunft wieder zu Gast sein und haben das Gasthaus als eines der besseren griechischen Restaurants in Bochum kennengelernt.

3 takeaway dishes. Tzatziki, which comes with the Agamemnon plate, was not included. Rice was ordered instead of fries. There were fries. All 3 dishes cold. So I wasn't late. I was there 15 minutes earlier. I expect more for the prices there. In the future, they can unpack everything again before paying to avoid this in the future

Delicious food at a birthday party. The food is good and plentiful, but it doesn't stand out in any notable way from the offerings of good competitors. For me, the "thin" fries and the quickly dissolving spray cream on the dessert are bad habits. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food was served as quickly as possible after ordering. The ambience is rather conservative, down-to-earth without any particular Greek accents but clean and well-kept. -Well, it's rather unimportant, as it's a matter of opinion. The restaurant was also busy during the week, reservations are recommended. Will visit the quite extensive beer garden in the summer. So they'll show up again.

First visit but immediately treated like regular guests, courteous, giving advice but not intrusive, I'll be back

Super leckeres griechisches Essen. Sehr gute und umfangreiche Auswahl. Hier findet garantiert jeder was leckeres. 😁 Die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig und vermittelt durchaus einen griechischen Einfluss. Mit guten Freunden kann man hier eine sehr angenehme Zeit verbringen. Im Sommer kann man auch draussen sitzen, was aktuell (November) das Wetter nicht zuließ. Das Essen, habe ich schon gesagt, dass es sehr lecker war, kam schnell und war richtig heiß. Wir kommen garantiert bald wieder, um noch anderes zu probieren.

Freundliches Personal, schneller Service, wir waren 12 Personen, Essen kam schnell und trotz vieler Wünsche für alle zur gleichen Zeit, so dass gemeinsam gegessen werden konnte. Die Desserts auch sooo reichhaltig und lecker 😋. Zugang mit Rollator kein Problem.

Das Essen war ok, aber nichts besonderes. Auf dem Beilagensalat-Fertigdressing, leider viele Fertigprodukte. Service etwas gestresst, es war wie in einer Abfertigung 😬 sorry, aber so hat es sich für uns angefühlt. Parkplatzsituation ebenfalls schwierig, kein eigener Kundenparkplatz.

Das Essen ist ok. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich. Wenn man im Aussenbereich sitzt hört man die Gruppe auf der Kegelbahn jubeln und fluchen das kann stören.

Gute griechische Küche. Die Ambiente und der Service sind ok. Das Restaurant liegt in einer Wohngegend, die Parkplätze sind nicht immer ausreichend.

Das Zaziki war nicht hausgemacht. Bei Rückfrage bekam ich die Antwort- allen anderen schmeckt. Fand ich nicht sehr freundlich und kompetent. Der Salat, ohne Karotten da Allergie, bestand aus lieblosen zwei Gurkenstücke Tomatenstücke ein bisschen grün und viel Cocktail Sauce. Jedenfalls kein Highlight.

Also ich muss sagen, das ich mich ernsthaft frage, wie die guten Bewertungen zustande kommen. Finde das Gyros echt nicht gut, zäh und fettige Stellen. Und das war kein Einzelfall, bei so einem Restaurant sollte Man von einer top Gyros Qualität ausgehen. Der Salat auch nichts besonderes, kann ich auch zum Imbiss gehen, Salat Gurke paar Streifen Möhren und standart Cocktail Soße. Sorry aber finde es ist bis jetzt der schwächste Grieche wo ich war in Bochum. Leonidas in der Stadt ist da schon besser, zumindest beim Gyros.

Auf Grund der vielen guten Rezessionen mal ein unbekanntes Restaurant ausprobiert. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und man führte uns zu unserem reservierten Tisch (am Wochenende unbedingt zu empfehlen). Die Speisekarten lagen schon auf dem Tisch so das wir uns sofort in diese einlesen konnten. Die Frage nach dem Getränkewunsch erfolgte ebenfalls recht schnell und die georderten Getränke kamen umgehend. Wir bestellten Gyros überbacken mit Metaxa Sauce und den Grillteller Gyros mit Leber. Ich hatte Durst und mein Getränk war geleert schon sah dieses ein Servicemitarbeiter und fragte ob ich einen Getränkewunsch hätte. Extrems Aufmerksam. Schon nach sehr kurzer Zeit kam auch schon unser Essen. (Das Restaurant war fast vollständig belegt, die noch freien Tische reserviert und es kamen ununterbrochen telefonische Bestellungen an.) Zu beiden georderten Gerichten gab es als Beilage Pommes und Reis. Ich habe noch nie bei einem Griechen einen so leckeren Reis gegessen und auch die Zwiebeln auf dem Grillteller wurden als extremst lecker bezeichnet. Mein Gyros in Metaxa Sauce war frisch vom Spieß geschnitten und wirklich sehr schmackhaft. Ebenso war die Meinung zu dem Fleisch des Grilltellers. Obligatorisch gab es bei der Rechnung einen Ouzo welcher auch von guter Qualität war. Zusammen gefasst: Schnell, extrem freundlich und aufmerksam, alles sehr lecker, Portionsgröße preislich und qualitativ sehr gut. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant weiter und kommen gerne wieder.

Netter Service und immer leckeres Essen

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Die Gerichte sind sehr gut, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist angemessen. Es gibt einen Außenbereich, wo man sich sehr gut aufhalten kann und der nach dem Umbau noch attraktiver gestaltet ist. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir sind mittlerweile regelmäßige Gäste.

Man kann gut von der Straße abgeschirmt und auch bei schlechtem Wetter draußen sitzen. Wir waren alle mit unserem Essen sehr zufrieden.
