Restaurant is slightly tucked away from the very touristy street. Small, but extremely cosy. We didn’t book the table, but were lucky to get one, very busy place. Excellent service, food is absolutely delicious. Fresh and homely. Best beer on tap.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was not positive. During dinner, a waitress accidentally broke a beer glass on the table, causing a cut on my arm and staining my clothes. Although he offered me a napkin to clean the area, I believe the situation was not handled appropriately. Seeing other customers watching what happened, the waitress made an inappropriate comment, suggesting that I was under the influence of alcohol, which was not true. This was awkward and unprofessional. When we asked for the bill, we were pressured to leave a tip, despite the situation. I would recommend reviewing customer service protocols to avoid similar situations in the future.

Traditional bar in a very busy area. The staff were kept very busy but still maintained a smiling and professional approach. I didn't have any food but it did look lovely and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. It's nice to be able just to sit at a bar and have a few beers without being told its table service only or I have to make a reservation.

Despite being foreign tourists with no knowledge of German, we were served very professionally and without any problem. The food itself was very good, the Currywurst that was served to us made us fall in love with this dish. Nice and professional service, pleasant and intimate atmosphere.

Had a Schnitzel, mushroom cream sauce and fried thin potatoes. Absolutely huge portions, excellent.Great flavours, excellent service from Waiter bar man,had menus in different languages.He was lovely, funny. Some of the other food coming out were just so huge in portions, particularly the pork hock/leg!

Great German restaurant. They even played German music in the background. The curry wurst is very good. The curry isn’t overpowering and the potatoes herbs are spot on. The pork knuckle (ham hock) was also very good. It looks intimidating but the meat is super tender and moist. We also got a beer and mirinda soda. All in all this seems like an authentic German bar. Wait staff is also friendly. The place is a little warm due to the air conditioner being off. Total for all these items was 45 euros or $50.

A great shop as a mix of a rustic Berlin pub and inn. The food was very tasty and the portions are good. Prices are okay for a tourist area. The service was very loving and attentive. We like to come back again and again. (Booking in advance is recommended!)

Very traditional pub like setting. We were the only ones in there who were not German. Absolutely brilliant food does not compare to anywhere else in Berlin for German food. I really recommend the schnitzel and the goulash was truely a showstopper. If you are in the area there is not a better place to eat.

Вся еда, абсолютно вся, была просто великолепна! Персонал хоть и не знает русский язык, но помогал нам при выборе блюд. Пиво это просто наслаждение какое-то, особенно после русских вариантов. Однако к вечеру набивается очень много народу и поэтому лучше места бронировать заранее. Обязательно еще раз посетим это заведение.

The pork skin is fried hard and crunchy, which I like very much, and the fat meat is fried dry, so it's not greasy. Pork chops taste average, not recommended. It takes longer to serve. The girl waitress is very friendly.

A real German cafe where many locals come and not just tourists. You can have a nice drink at the bar or order a typical German dish for lunch or dinner. There are menus in English and German. The staff also speaks these languages ​​themselves, so as a tourist you quickly feel welcome. Lots of choice on the menu, including drinks and dishes. Not 5 stars because it was very hot (30 degrees outside in August) in the cafe/restaurant. There was clearly no air conditioning and I would recommend anyone to sit outside in the summer months.

I will express a completely personal opinion. I'm not a foodie nor do I know anything about restaurants. In order to comment here, I preferred to go to the desktop and use a keyboard. Among the places we ate and drank, Treffpunkt Belin was one of the two places that left a deep impression on me. We were their guests three times. Each time, someone new from the shift was on the service. Even though we couldn't speak German, they treated us like their guests and not their customers. Berlin has its own charming melancholy and sad smile. This pub allowed us to feel that Berlin and meet it. I will never forget the evening hours when my wife and I sat outside facing the street in front of the pub after a rain and dreamed of good times. Whatever we wanted from the menu, delicious food prepared with care was served to us. The beer accompaniments are very successful and I recommend you try the apple strudel. The pub is a bit dim, as it should be. There is seating outside. Inside, apart from the bar, there is a rather small seating area. Wooden tables have good conversation and smiles of the staff. The music never reaches an annoying level. The cleanliness of the toilets is quite sufficient... You sit there feeling safe without any anxiety, and your heart relaxes with a beer and melts into the night. I found the prices extremely reasonable for the waist size I experienced. When a place is run with love, it means a lot even for ordinary guests like us. Thank you for the beautiful moments. We apologize if we were unintentionally disrespectful. I don't know if we will come to Berlin again. "Don't worry about your hands."

This is our second time here and we feel very comfortable. Here you can feel the real old Berlin with really great traditional food and a wonderfully refreshing but friendly service staff with a real Berlin snout. She welcomed us as warmly as if we had been there for the last time yesterday. We love it and can only recommend anyone who comes to Berlin to go here.

In the middle there is a large counter where you can quickly meet new people. The service is super friendly, fast and helpful. The food is freshly prepared. There are typical dishes such as cabbage roulade, Königsberger meatballs, goulash, currywurst or other sausage specialties. The beer will be expert. tapped. There is delicious Palatinate wine. Taberna típica alemana con cocina del pais. Es pequeña y acogedora, tiene carta en español, el servicio amable y muy agradable. No son muy rápidos (pero es normal en Berlín). La comida excelente y muy buena relación calidad precio. Para repetir sin duda. Quedamos encantados.

It was going so well, so welcoming seemed like a nice vibe and good food. I was made to feel like I had to make a tip and I was going to but she put it through without one and the receipt was thrown on the table and the tender walked off angry making me and my partner feel unwelcomed despite paying alot for the meal. Being two students visiting berlin I have to think carefully about money and i was a surprised to feel like we needed to when never having to before. Please be mindful when visiting. I was actually looking forward to leaving a good review , how the tides can change.

Today I had the opportunity to try the dish brawn with fried potatoes and tartar sauce at the Berlin meeting point "Alt-Berliner Pub". Overall it was a tasty experience. The brawn was excellently prepared, nicely seasoned and the tartar sauce complemented the dish perfectly with its spicy note. Unfortunately the fried potatoes weren't quite ideal. They were a little too hard and could have been crispier. Nevertheless, they tasted good and didn't significantly affect the dish. The prices are definitely adjusted to the audience, which probably consists mostly of tourists. You pay a little more, but the quality and traditional charm of the place make up for it. Overall, a nice culinary experience with small drawbacks with the fried potatoes. A visit is worthwhile for lovers of Berlin cuisine and for tourists looking for an authentic experience.

Phenomenal pork knuckle with crispy crackling skin, a stupidly good deal with the quality and quantity of food, and the staff are brilliant and fun. Bring an appetite of you go for pork knuckle:)

Our local pub in Berlin! Whenever we go to Berlin, we like to stop there! A beer - usually it doesn't stop at just one ;-) - in a cozy atmosphere is absolutely a must for us! The food is also highly recommended - real Berlin cuisine, very tasty and the portions are generous. If you would like to eat there, we would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, as the seats are in demand! The service is attentive and quick and, above all, super friendly, and the selection of different beers and spirits is huge! It's also great that there is a music box where you can choose your own songs, which is rare these days... We always like to come back - it's nice that something like this still exists! Please keep it up!!! We'll see you again soon

First time or long time in Berlin, this was a hidden gem of a spot. I wanted to find a good Schnitty (Aussie slang for Schnitzel) and not that I have found a good Schnitzel, it's probably the best one I've ever had. It was juicy and the crispy coating was buttery in taste. It was so good! And the portion size was perfectly huge!

Truly a miserable experience , rude staff and poor service. Don't bother go some where better.

Poor communication of one specific waiter. Doesn't even try to help. Comes to table after 15 minutes and says "This table is reserved" although there was no "reserved" sign in the table.

A great little eatery in Berlin! We discovered Treffpunkt just 2 years ago, and now it is the place we have our first and last night evening meal. Very good food and beers, and really friendly and efficient staff. It is advisable to book as it gets very busy but never overcrowded. We will be back when next in Berlin, just a lovely place to eat and drink.

A place where you can enjoy German food and Schulzheiss draft beer. All the food was delicious, especially the Hakse and schnitzel! All the staff are friendly and cozy. You can use the restroom if you go down to the basement, and it was nice and clean and spacious. It’s a great place to visit with a reservation in the evening!

We went as a family to celebrate my husbands birthday on recommendation from my BIL who has visited several times. It was fab, good, honest traditional German food, schnitzel, pork knuckle, delicious goulash soup, meatballs and of course beer and strudel. Atmosphere was great, good tunes, nice vibe and service was good. They were turning people away so glad we booked. Go go go.

Spectacular place, historic restaurant in the center a stone's throw from the metro. You can breathe in the air of history and the authentic atmosphere of the years after the fall of the Wall. Impeccable service with waiters who spoke a little Italian (even menus in Italian). Superlative food, from goulash to shin. I loved the kartofelsalad. Excellent beers. Even the services in the basement are an open-air museum. Really if I could I would give more stars. I highly recommend it.

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, there is the dessert “M*** in a Shirt” on the menu. When I kindly pointed out to the waitress that the term hurt many black people, she closed the menu in front of me and shouted “that’s what it’s been called in Berlin for 100 years.” It's a shame that not everyone can feel comfortable in this pub.

We sat outside on the street in the sunshine and enjoyed FANTASTIC plates of German meatballs and currywurst! The beers were also great, along with the apple strudel. It felt like a very traditional piece of Germany amongst a chaotic Berlin and it was greaty enjoyed.

It could have been a nice evening if it hadn't been for that one person in service. I have rarely had such unfriendly service. She made it seem like we could be grateful to be served by her. We also observed how guests were treated at other tables. A person like that has no place in service. We are Berliners too, but that has nothing to do with a “Berlin snout”. The other service staff are very nice. We won't come again while this person is here.

Nice, rustic pub with very nice (Berlin snout) service. The food was fantastically prepared and delicious. There are dishes here that you can't get anywhere anymore. (Klopse, brawn with fried potatoes, knuckle of pork, stuffed cabbage, etc. Everyone enjoyed the food, there was nothing to complain about. Drinks also came quickly, the waitress is really on the ball. However, you are well advised to order in advance, as the good ambience attracts many people appreciate.

Walked past a hundred times, this time been there 2 days in a row. It was time. Simply cool, nice people, good food, the team was in a good mood and really into it. We will be back.

A place that you must visit if you come to Berlin, its staff is very particular, they start off being cold and distant, but after a short time they become very attentive and concerned, typical food of good quality and flavors, good beer as an incredible "Berlin" undertone , all in a pleasant atmosphere with typical music... we will return. We also ate very well at the counter, very good beer, they treated us well, we spent €24 each with a second course and a medium beer. The dishes were substantial, we also asked for bread off the menu and they didn't charge us for it. There is also a quite characteristic Jukebox
