A great smoke-free sports bar with delicious, freshly prepared food (the meatloaf and fried potatoes were simply better than in any Bavarian restaurant!). I received incredibly friendly and welcoming service.

Simply lovely! Excellent home-style cooking at prices that make you wonder how they do it (they really could charge more for so much good food), and six different beers on tap.

A truly authentic Berlin pub, with heart and charm. Football-loving Hertha fans, locals, and friendly people who have known Franky for a long time meet here on weekends to watch the game live. A good selection of beer and a great menu with excellent food await you here. Highly recommended 😊

Great!!! We've only been there twice now through friends. Our hearts beat for Hertha and now also for Fränkys : ) Love the atmosphere there. The owner and staff are great, and in addition to a large selection of drinks, there's a fantastic menu with great dishes. Something for everyone. Königsberger Klopse...delicious! But tarte flambée and burgers are also very tasty. Next time, definitely try the rice pudding for dessert <3 We always come back ❤️

Great first time at Fränky's! We visited Fränky's for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed our time there. A lovely, quaint sports bar – and definitely not just for the blue-and-white crowd 😉. Fränky and his wife are extremely friendly hosts and ensure both a great atmosphere and a good meal. We would love to come back and highly recommend a visit.

In my almost 40 years of pub-going, I've never experienced anything as outrageous as what happened at Fränky's! We ordered our first round of beers in a good mood and were enjoying the warm spring evening, when, during the second round, the landlord started ranting, asking how we were daring to leave a used napkin on the bar table. We weren't actually planning on leaving, and my colleague was merely using the napkin to wipe the beer foam off his beard! While he was clearing away empty glasses at the neighboring tables, the landlord continued to loudly rant in our direction, asking what kind of disgusting behavior we were exhibiting. By now, every other guest had also realized what a poor upbringing we must have come from. I've never met a more obsessively neurotic person than this landlord! Perhaps he should rename his place Kränky's; that would be closer to the spirit of this questionable bar! We were amazed that he didn't yell at us, saying we'd used the glasses and left them uncleaned. As we quickly left this "dive," we noticed other guests who were rudely greeted and simply said, "Never again to Fränky's!" I can only agree. This landlord will only be happy if he has no customers at all. Then no one can make a mess or even dare to briefly leave "dirty trash" openly on the table! One more tip for the landlord: "Just put a tabletop wastebasket with a lid on every guest table! Then you won't have to witness this misery in person every time!"

Fränky's is a cozy, traditional bar with a classic pub feel – just the place to go if you want to watch a football game in a relaxed atmosphere. The decor invites you to linger, and the food selection is also positively noteworthy. There's a small, down-to-earth menu with typical German dishes at very fair prices – not a given in a bar. My colleague had a schnitzel, and I opted for the meatballs – both perfectly fine and definitely recommended for the price. It was disappointing that no fried potatoes were offered that day. Unfortunately, the overall positive impression was marred by the service. The service was not only very irregular but also unfriendly – ​​perhaps typical of Berlin attitudes, but in this case rather unpleasant. It wasn't possible to order at the bar, so we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our first beer. That's pretty disappointing, especially in a bar. Conclusion: If you appreciate a rustic atmosphere, affordable food, and football broadcasts, you'll feel at home at Fränky's – provided you have a little patience.

Very friendly staff, great facilities, lovingly decorated for Hertha fans, trying the food is our next goal, all in all a really great restaurant, we would love to come back.

Once and never again Fränky's pub is convincing - but unfortunately only in a negative way. The innkeeper? Friendly like a bouncer at shift change. The geezers? So greasy that it probably needs its own zip code – it stayed in my stomach for two days. If you're looking for good food and a bit of hospitality, this is definitely the wrong place for you. Luckily there are better alternatives in the corner.

Went to Fränky again, as always everything was great, the food was delicious (schnitzel with asparagus) and the drinks, strawberry punch and the non-alcoholic Ramazzotti Orange were also super delicious. The host and landlady are always friendly. We always like to come back.

A real Berlin pub with good food and the owners run the place with passion. Nice, friendly, good prices, 6 beers on tap and great decorations. We felt comfortable there and will visit again and again. There are always pubs like this that Berliners run in Wrniger and Friedenau, a very relaxed location. .

The store has a lot of potential, unfortunately the service is subpar. The people and the pub itself are great, you can really have a relaxing time there. Many televisions and all relevant games are broadcast. You can sit inside and outside and have a view of a television everywhere. BUT the service is unfortunately subpar. You feel like you have to run after the landlord to be served. He comes to the table or a neighboring table and then runs away again. There was never a question as to whether anyone wanted to order something. You either go to the counter and let them know or you just have to hope that he notices you. But I and my team have now noticed, even in a store that is not full, that our orders have been forgotten several times. We knew it would take time, so we tracked it. I had to wait 55 minutes for my first drink, because it was forgotten after we ordered, we asked after 35 minutes, no apology but just, yes, I'm alone. The landlady is responsible for the food and was very rude when ordering for my group. We ordered a dish from the menu, she said you can only order things that are on the menu. That was a bit confusing but good. You then had to wait 2 hours for food without knowing it beforehand. If something takes significantly longer than average, you should communicate it in advance. Unfortunately that was our last visit, the atmosphere and the people are great, but with that kind of service it just doesn't make any fun or sense.

Great, everything that normal German people eat. No frills. But you have to have time. But when I hear that the schnitzel I ordered is tapped after ordering, my heart beats faster. Not old shit that's been sitting in the corner for hours. Everything freshly made. Even wheat beer on tap. It's a shame that you can only give five stars.

Great, rustic Hertha pub with home cooking. All very tasty

By chance we entered this beautiful corner pub...when you open the front door you enter a completely different world. I was impressed by the lovingly designed decoration. Every angle...every corner...opens up a new picture. It's a mix of old and new.......football meets antique but totally cute. We were very impressed with the food...we were there on two days and were able to try something from the menu...the two of us...the three of us...it was absolutely delicious. Kassler with dumpling and red cabbage.......goulash soup with lots of delicious meat and onion bread - very tasty- and liver with sauce, puree and onions....I left out the apple rings......it tasted like mother's. The service was great and Franky took the time to tell us a few stories. It was a great experience and we will definitely go there again when we are in Friedenau. A great thing for all ⚽️ Football fans too of course.....that comes to mind...you can watch the football games from all corners, even outside in the windows you could continue watching the games with a cigarette. A very successful package all around Thank you very much for this great time 👍 By the way, I found great inspiration for decorating my home If you want to sit there on game day, you should make a reservation!! The Fränky is a gastro pub for EVERYONE. Drinks and food at a real price, which is even more worth it when you take into account the warm service and the great ambience. I never want to miss this place again, where you can watch all the football games (!)! Annette, Franzi and Fränky are born hosts. ❤️ Update: Of course, Annette also offers seasonal cuisine and, in winter, homemade mulled wine.

There was goose leg or breast with everything on it and very, very tasty 👍🥲 and if you want to eat something different, you have enough choice here 😁 You can eat very well , watch football or simply enjoy the Old Berlin pub atmosphere, there is something for everyone. Really nice Berlin pub, you have to like Franky's sense of humor, if you're from Berlin you'll love him😍. The food is legendary: we had tarte flambée and goulash soup, had Wienerschnitzel and fried Jans ne Jute, a gift from God. Things get difficult when Franky goes into the cellar, you have to order the beer beforehand, otherwise it sometimes takes longer. Great video screen👌. There's Smokie playing there or football is also a Herta fan bar👌👍

Yesterday we were at Fränky's for the second time. The food is very tasty and also sufficient. Really like nuts. The slightly longer preparation time is worth it for this freshly prepared meal. My heart place in Friedenau. Because of the warm and relaxed atmosphere as well as the delicious and affordable selection of food and drinks, I chose Fränky's as my 60th celebration location, and all my expectations were exceeded. A wonderful place with wonderful hosts; There was also a buffet with suckling pig, which each of my 40 guests really enjoyed.

Nice pub, nice place, unfortunately all the waiters are almost always extremely unfriendly and overwhelmed. The customer is then not king but is complained about. Unfortunately, again and again.

On Sunday we went back for dinner. Again the host couple was friendly and the food was very tasty 😋. Yesterday my brother and I went back to finish my visit. There was the long-awaited beef roulade 😉. Very, very tasty 😋 😋!!! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Berlin and then I'm looking forward to a visit to Fränky's 😊!! Disrespectful treatment of regular customers I have been a regular/loyal guest for over a year now and had the impression that I had found my favorite pub. Unfortunately, this is not the case, due to several “incidents” that manifest themselves in disrespectful and unfriendly behavior on the part of the two innkeepers. I'll just give a few examples so as not to go beyond the scope: 1. During a round of billiards that has just started, the landlady complains to me about how it could be that we are starting now (when she is about to finish work). It should be said here that her closing time was neither announced nor did the time indicate that the lady wanted to close the shop. 2. After we were served the “last round” and wanted to drink it in peace, we were whistled back in the most unfriendly manner by the landlady when we went outside to smoke. She asked us what we thought of going out to smoke now that she was about to close the shop. It should be said that there were many other customers in the store at this time, whom she had ignored and who were allowed to finish their billiards game in peace. This suggests that there may be a classification between regular customers who are more privileged than others. Finally, I should say that I will never enter this shop again and I hope that other guests will not continue to accept certain manners from the staff. I think this is the only way for the staff to reflect on how to deal with their paying customers has.

Our evening, which began very pleasantly, unfortunately came to an extremely unpleasant end, which in my opinion was completely unsuitable for gastronomy Tresenkraft and the local self-proclaimed “billiard club”. The barmaid's disrespectful behavior was expressed in blunt, mostly completely incoherent statements, such as that my non-smoking friend should no longer enter the outdoor area so often while she was billing other guests. Unfortunately, this reproachful undertone continued throughout the entire evening. The waiting time for a “Köpi” can be compared to the commercial breaks on private television. If the order does arrive, there is no guarantee that it will be the right one. After a discussion with the “Alpha” of the billiard gang, who was in mid-life crisis, I finally wanted to pay my bill. The waitress's "favorite regular", who was gesticulating heavily in gray sweatpants and a Hawaiian shirt, tried to intimidate us with evil looks and aggressive articulations while he was putting the next fee into the pool table for another game (after work). However, the people working there didn't care how their other guests were treated there. After thoroughly investigating why the “after work” announcements shouted through the bar via microphone do not apply to the “pool professionals”, I came to no conclusion. The bill: To my regret, I discovered that various beers were labeled incorrectly or not at all. When the visibly confused waitress called the boss to correct the bill, “something” was simply entered into the cash register system in a wildly speculative manner. Such behavior towards well-paying and loyal regular guests is unacceptable and rules out future visits.

Apparently drunk with success from various reports on regional television, there is little left of the hospitality preached, so that 5* unfortunately became this rating. Even if you follow all the rules, you are still subject to the whims of the “professionals” operating the place. Apart from the fact that orders are often missed, I was shouted at because I threatened to exceed the waitress's arbitrarily chosen closing time by entering the outside area to talk to a smoking customer. I would have already paid if there hadn't been a queue at the counter anyway, but I still had to be reprimanded LOUDLY in front of other guests that I was a regular and had to know when the lady planned to finish work and not smoke outside anymore (I am a non-smoker). Such rules apparently do not affect selected favorite guests, who meanwhile add another round of billiards and "heroically" buy the waitress's favor through encouragement. I'm a good paying customer, not an elementary school student. This bar has passed the peak of success. Go as long as it's reasonably good. It doesn't get any better.

I don't even know where to start. The store is a disaster from front to back. The landlady and the innkeeper are so unfriendly and rude. You are treated condescendingly and as if you should consider yourself lucky to be sitting there. When we were having a family meal, the landlady shouted at the nice waitress and embarrassed her in front of us. This seems to be standard in this store. She served us nicely throughout the evening, but strangely enough, she didn't charge us anything, but had to give the innkeeper a tip at the end of the evening. Accordingly, it was less fancy and we weren't sure whether it was even usable. When it comes to food, we all waited at least 1.5 hours and actually wanted to eat together as a family. The food looked unhygienic and not well presented for the price. All in all, you just scare away guests instead of getting them to come back. I advise everyone to have this store. When I read the other negative reviews, I also find it a shame that feedback is not taken into account and only unfriendly, snotty and cheeky answers come back. As a company, you should also admit mistakes and work on yourself. The motto used to be: “the customer is king”

I was with you for the first time yesterday and it was very nice. There was a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff was super friendly and accommodating, even though it was so busy! Next time I'll just order something to eat from you to try your food, because when I wanted to order something to eat yesterday, I was told that the meal could take an hour. Great place if you wanna enjoy good authentic german (berlin) cuisine. Prices are fair, staff is very friendly. All german football matches are bering shown on big screens in and outside.

If you want to experience discriminatory treatment , go there. The waitress when i asked for non gluten options, speaking bad german, was offensive and aggressive . A behavior that should be denounced.

Tolle Fussballkneipe. Bedienung und Inhaber mit Herz. Da nicht geraucht wird, kann dort auch prima mit Kindern Fußball gucken. Angenehmes Publikum. Es wird ordentliches Fassbier unterschiedlicher Brauereien ausgeschenkt. Bei Herthasiegen gibts nen Schnaps. Wir kommen gerne dort hin.
