Good restaurant, if you are trying authentic african foods one must visit this place, they cook delicious food for reasonable price and it's stomach filling, plus the ambience is so good and the service is also good. One of the best african restaurants in Düsseldorf!!!!!!!

The food today was very delicious. The ambience was also nice. In addition, the food price-performance ratio was very good. The staff here were friendly too. I also found the space very inviting.

This is the best Nigerian food restaurant I’ve ever seen in Germany. The food was so good and delicious I was so happy to eat food that reminded me of my childhood. I enjoyed everything. We ordered suya but it was very disappointing. It was deep fried beef with a little sprinkle of suya pepper. Not even close to the real thing Than the pepper soup was served. The cow tail one was good but not enough spice. The goat meat peppersoup was just tasteless and not fresh. All in all very disappointing. As a response to you I cook the best Egusi, Effo and catfish peppersoup myself. I lived in Nigeria for quit some time. I perfectly know how peppersoup and other Nigerian dishes should taste. I and my Nigerian wife eat you food and this was our shared conclusion. Very disappointing. And we came to your place because I eat with you before in the old location few times. No mistake. There is only one treasure African restaurant in Düsseldorf.

It was our first time at Treasure and we came specifically from Aachen because there is no Nigerian food there. The food was very tasty and the service was great too! There is also a good selection of food with and without meat We will definitely come back and try more :)

Really friendly service, good music and amazingly tasty food!! We tried the Fufu Special with Egusi + Tilapia and Peanut Soup + Chicken Leg. Portion size and taste was on point! We will definitely come back soon for more.

Came over from the UK to dusserdolf. I needed good Nigerian food, I discovered treasure restraunt through google search and decided to try. I’ve had food here for 3 days because of how amazing it tastes. The customer service is astonishing and superb! Great staff, clean environment, good latest music nice mix. Would highly reccomend.. I will be coming again whenever I visit over. 🥰

The jollof rice was good and so was the fried plantain. Only the meat was tough and was heated very unevenly, which suggests that it was microwaved. The portions are really big and you'll feel very full. As far as the quality of the food is concerned, I've had better food. You can't go wrong here, but you shouldn't expect culinary highlights either. I really liked the great music in the restaurant. The service was very slow/a bit inattentive and the dishes came to the table quite late.

Very authentic Nigerian cuisine with special ingredients - really a special experience 😍

The rice tasted quite good, the 4 small pieces of meat were well seasoned but very tough. The meat should have been fried, but it wasn't. The beer should have been on tap, but it wasn't (there's no draft beer anymore, only bottled beer). When billing, the prices did not match the card, but the four positions were then corrected in the billing after a short discussion. All in all, we were full, but we definitely won't eat here again.

It was a cool atmosphere of delicious international African dishes. You won't regret giving Treasure Restaurant a trial. It's truly a home away from Home. I enjoyed myself and I will call again soon.

The food is authentic, the selection ranges from vegetarian to meat to fish! Love the fufu, the appetizers and might enjoy the desert at some point! Price/performance is awesome! I need the shop around the corner from me.

The negative reviews come from white people who criticize absolutely everything and equate this with other restaurants. This attitude is just plain ignorant. You can't go to an African restaurant with the same expectations as, for example, a German restaurant and then write negative reviews here. The food is aromatically intense, if you're not used to it you might not like it, but that doesn't say anything about the food. The food is just great. About the service: Everyone can speak English and will have absolutely no problem ordering. On the contrary, the service is super accommodating and friendly. The restaurant may not be newly renovated, but it still has its own, very beautiful flair. Besides, can you see what it looks like in the pictures of the restaurant? I don't know what else to expect. If you want something particularly fancy, then you should eat out at a star restaurant.

Das Essen schmeckte, wie erhofft: Lecker, gut gewürzt und etwas anders - für jemanden, der noch nicht so oft afrikanische Küche probiert hat. Den Laden gibt es wohl schon länger, aber ich habe ihn jetzt erst entdeckt und es wird nicht der letzte Besuch dort gewesen sein! Vorspeise war top, Gericht 527 war sehr lecker und die Portion groß. Hier stimmt nicht nur der Geschmack, sondern auch Preis-Leistung. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Wir wollten was neues ausprobieren und haben das Restaurant übers Internet gefunden. Es hat einen guten Eindruck gemacht, also haben wir es getestet. Allerdings war die Erfahrung nicht wirklich schön. Die Mitarbeiter sprechen leider kaum bis kein Deutsch, sondern hauptsächlich englisch. Das Restaurant ist eine umgebaute Kneipe und hat auch diesen Flair. Zum Essen : Meine Vorspeise war trocken, Zäh und lauwarm. Meine Hauptspeise hat meinen persönlichen Geschmack nicht getroffen aber das Fleisch war auch sehr knorpelig und zäh. Die Apfelschorle hat abgestanden geschmeckt. Das einzige was ich empfehlen kann ist die Kochbanane. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Portions are good and filling, the sitting area and general ambience are okay, and importantly, toilets are clean! Update: reduced my rating slightly because I was dissatisfied with the food during my last visit. On the flip side, the service was much better than I've ever had: the owner's husband was serving very politely and professionally, but it would be nice to maintain/improve food quality as well. :)

Altes Kneipenflair, sehr schlicht, Personal spricht nur sehr wenig deutsch bzw englisch, Preise soweit okay. Essen war leider gar nicht unser Geschmack. Curryreis fettig, Fleisch hart und trocken & ziemlich scharf (steht so nicht auf der Karte). Zudem kam Fleisch statt Fisch. Kommunikation schlecht.

Wir wollten einen kleinen kulinarischen Einblick in die afrikanische Küche bekommen. Unsere Erwartungen sind voll erfüllt worden. Es gibt afrikanische Biersorten und wenn man 3 Biere beim Essen schafft ist man sehr gut;) Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir wurden dabei gut beraten, die Portionen sind groß und gut gewürzt. Wir hatten Fufu und Joloff Rice und können es empfehlen hier Essen zu gehen. Danke für diese kleine Reise durch die afrikanischen Küche:)

We went to this restaurant to taste african good in Dusseldorf. I will not recommend to this place. The edikaikong soup was duper wattery and only had three pieces of meat inside. Isi ewu was not good either. Was lukewarm and not even served in traditional plate. Jollof was ok. The suya was so dry that we got headache from chewing on it. We have feeling that all of the food is leftover or already made and they reheat it. Just hour zfter we left my mom and aunt got sick. Vomiting and diarhea. The staff was also not that friendly they are a bit forgetful and not friendly.

Abzocke! Trotz Reservierung war das Lokal nicht geöffnet, als wir ankamen. Getränke in der Karte gibt es nicht („Cola Zero kommt morgen erst wieder“, „Wir haben keine Kühlanlage mehr, da zu teuer. Deshalb kein gezapftes Bier mehr“). Auf „Extrawünsche“, Hähnchen zum Reis statt Rindfleisch, wird der erhöhte Preis für Hähnchenfleisch nicht vorher genannt. Jetzt zum Essen. Meine Hähnchenkeule war verschrumpelt, aufgewärmte Mikrowellenware vom Vortag, ungenießbar. Der Curryreis dazu geschmacklos. Eine undefinierbare rote und geschmacklose „Schicht“ auf dem Hähnchen. Wahrscheinlich Reste einer Tomatensoße. Kollegin hatte sehr scharfes Essen, obwohl vorher gesagt wurde, das Essen sei nicht scharf. Das Essen war lieblos auf dem Teller angerichtet, ist fast schon zufiel behauptet. Die Preise für das Essen stehen in keinem Verhältnis zum Essen.

A Nigerian restaurant in Dusseldorf with enough home food. I bought a takeaway, so can't really comment on the service on site. My order was ready when I got there to pick it though. The food was alright. The jollof rice really tasted like party rice, but I didn't enjoy the fish even though it was well seasoned. That is just my personal preference though as I don't like food with lots of salt. The suya was alright as well. Overall, the experience was not bad.

wirklich sehr leckeres essen ich und mein steifer duetscher Kumpel sind beide hellauf begeistert. Preis Leistung ist auch super. Alles zu empfehlen. Fufu Yam Moi- Moi Kochbananen leider riecht es seltsam, man hat das Gefühl dass es aus den Toiletten riecht. schade.

Meine Begleitung wollte unbedingt einmal Fufu essen und so gingen wir in dieses afrikanisches Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist sehr einfach gehalten, angenehme Musik im Hintergrund. Die Bedienung war freundlich und der Service ist sehr gemütlich. Unser Essen war gut, leider traf es nicht meinen persönlichen Geschmack, aber meiner Begleitung hat es geschmeckt.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier und haben auch zum ersten Mal nigerianische/west-afrikanische Küche gegessen. Wir sind extra zu einer weniger besuchten Uhrzeit gegangen und es war dementsprechend ruhig. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und höflich, das Restaurant selber war einladend, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Unser Essen war gut, es hat meinen persönlichen Geschmack leider etwas verfehlt aber der Fisch war exzellent, mein erster Kontakt mit Fufu war auch wunderbar und der Jollof Rice mit fried beef war auch sehr gut. Das afrikanische Bier war auch sehr lecker. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und dann probiere ich eine andere Soße, die Qualität des Essens war gut und ich möchte die Nigerianische Küche gerne näher kennenlernen 😊

Die schlechten Kritiken in den Rezensionen beziehen sich auf Dinge, die so sein müssen. ZB das Rauchige am Reis, das kenne ich auch von anderen westafrikanischen Restaurants, oder die Konsistenz des Fleiches - so ist das gewollt, wer zB in Frankfurt im Kenke House gegessen hat, weiß, dass es so schmecken muss. Oder die Konsistenz und Geschmacksmilde des Fufus, - das ist im Original genau so. Glücklicherweise ist dieses Restaurant nicht so sehr an den europäischen Geschmack angepasst, genau das macht es besonders. Aber wer ein angepasstes Essen sucht, sollte woanders suchen.
