Trattoria Marina / Pizzeria Ciao in Regensburg

Today I visited Trattoria Marina in Regensburg and was quite annoyed. I paid €4.90 for this cake, which is about twice the size of a sugar packet and only about 3 cm high. That's outrageous! I've never paid such a tiny cake for such a price. When I told the owner, as expected, I received only an indifferent response. It seems they like to rip off tourists in Regensburg. What a shame...

We went to Trattoria Marina in Regensburg for pizza today. The incredibly delicious Pizza Mafiosi baked in a wood-fired oven was prepared quickly and arrived at our table soon. The price-performance ratio was good. The location by the stone bridge is very nice. We'll be back soon!

Excellent pizza. I'm from New York and this is just like NY pizza but better as it isn't as greasy. I split a pizza with my friend and it was perfect size.

It's a real shame that for €4 you get a simple tea bag with hot water. I was expecting a higher quality tea.

Depending on your spot, you have a great view of the Stone Bridge from the Marina. However, I'd recommend enjoying the view with an Aperol Spritz or something similar, as the pizza unfortunately isn't worth the price. It's okay, but nothing special for a pizza. For the price, it's rather below average.

I was there for the first time today. The two young ladies were super nice and professional, and the food was simply perfect and tasted delicious. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Regensburg.

The location and view of the Stone Bridge and the cathedral are fantastic! Fast and friendly service. Good selection of Italian dishes, and the antipasti platter is highly recommended!

The simplest four-cheese pizza I've ever eaten, just a little sauce and tiny pieces of cheese on top. It definitely wasn't worth €15.90. Plus, the waitress seems to have charged us €3.80 more. Not recommended at all.

One of the coolest locations in Regensburg (feels like Italy). Delicious drinks and food, and always something going on.

A lovely patio on the way to the old town. The awning with its ancient, still-functioning motor is striking.

We just wanted a drink around 1:30 p.m. Two conditions: it wasn't full. But no one felt it was necessary to order drinks. Café Schierstadt is happy with the sales now.

The atmosphere is GREAT. The ice cream is interesting, and I would have preferred the nut ice cream instead of the caramel. This is my personal preference and has no influence on the quality of the dishes.

The portion of Panzerotti was very small. It wasn't filling. The price was €16.90. I went home hungry.

I ordered a pizza to take away. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the toppings; the Pizza Greta was actually a Margherita with 5 olives, 2 tomatoes, and 7 slices of feta. And all for €17.90. The only positive thing was that the Margherita was well seasoned.

Pizzeria Marina in Stadtamhof is a real insider tip for me. The service is extremely friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. The pizza here is simply the best in town – perfectly crispy, generously topped, and prepared with love. Add to that the fantastic view of the Stone Bridge, which makes dining a special experience. The prices are moderate and absolutely fair for the overall package. All in all, a wonderful place that I would visit again anytime.

My pizza tasted about as real as the manager's kindness, which is to say, not at all. The entire experience was a comical tragedy. I feel sorry for the young man who was forced to charge me for a second glass of water that I never received. The manager, a truly rude character, explained that I couldn't cancel my order for the water because they were too busy to abort the "complicated process" of not getting it to me within 15 minutes. I can only assume she had to forage for the ice cubes in a remote glacier, and still had to charge me for this laborious work that was never completed. I had already finished eating and naturally did not need the water by that time. To save you from a similar experience, I recommend choosing literally anywhere else to eat.

Salmon Pizza that needed more salmon, otherwise good but not great flavor. Pfifferlinge and Speck salad with too few Pfifferlinge and too many greasy Speck pieces. High prices not justified for us. Wine prices exhorbitant. Friendly servers. Nice view at the window.

Well, as they say location, location, location. Just to the left starting on to the Bridge into Regensburg, Germany. Great place to people watch and drink the Local Spital German Beers that is brewed just across the street. Pizza was good and beer cold.

It was way too crowded and the pasta wasn't really that good. I felt sick. It's also way overpriced. Two people paid €65 each for two drinks and two dishes. This is completely unjustifiable. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was delicious! But two caveats: 1) the pizzas were served before the bruschetta, which we disagree with and resulted in several "deadly" looks from the waiters. 2) we were charged €9 for two half-liters of (tap) water. That cost them their tip.

Wonderful location and the best pizza - unfortunately, the atmosphere is ruined by the rude waitresses. It wasn't busy, and the tables were dirty. After we'd been there for 10 minutes, they'd been carelessly wiped down. I had to ask three times before we got the menu. The table next to us got their food before us; apparently, she'd forgotten ours. No mention of the lunch special, no mention of a stamp card, and she's clearly not interested in this job, so she should please leave it alone. For me, friendly service is essential - here, it's better to pick up your food and sit by the Danube.

When I asked her what she would recommend, she honestly replied: "Nothing." – That made me laugh. If the food is as authentic as the service, then it's going to be a successful evening!

This was my first time at Trattoria Marina and I had a truly wonderful visit. The ambiance outside is totally relaxed – typically Italian with a touch of Mediterranean serenity. Perfect for feeling a bit like you're on vacation with a good meal. I ordered spaghetti – simple, but simply delicious. The pasta was perfect, the sauce flavorful, and you could taste the love that goes into the cooking. No over-the-top fuss, just honest, Italian cuisine, just the way you want it. What particularly stuck in my mind – and in a very charming way – was the waitress. When I asked what she would recommend, she thought for a moment, smiled, and then honestly said: "Phew, I don't know, I never actually eat here." That was so unexpected that I had to laugh. It wasn't a negative at all – more of a funny, human moment that made the visit even more enjoyable. Pure authenticity! Conclusion: Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, honest service with a smile included. I'll definitely be back!

Far too expensive these days. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. The salad doesn't even come with a dressing; you have to make it yourself. I get the impression that greed is getting bigger and bigger.

Absolutely overpriced. I paid almost €20 for pasta, and the taste wasn't quite worth it. I also had the impression that the waitress with the many tattoos hated everyone and everything. She constantly looked annoyed and answered our questions very snippy, which didn't exactly create a pleasant atmosphere and gave me the impression that I was unwelcome as a guest. The highlight of my only one star, despite the location being quite nice, was when I ordered tap water with my coffee and they brought me a glass with only a single sip of water, which I find absolutely outrageous given the prices.

It was certainly nice to sit down, and the service was friendly and efficient. The gnocchi, however, were carelessly drowned in tomato sauce, a rather tasteless dip, the kind you'd normally spread on pizza. Tasteless and negative. Over 16 euros for that! Be careful! The coffee was perfect!

The food at Trattoria Marina was delicious, and the wait was perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly dampened by the unfriendly service. The female server neither greeted nor acknowledged us—we were simply ignored at first. It's a shame, because with a friendlier welcome, the visit could have been much more positive.

It took the waitress 20 minutes even though we said we wanted a card please. Then we ordered a cake and two hot drinks. The cake was very small and way overpriced. When we mentioned it to an employee, all he said was, well, it's just the Danube wave and it's gone. Then we tried the cake and it just tasted old. Then the wrong drinks came and it took a long time until we got new drinks. To top it all off, it unfortunately took a very long time before we were allowed to pay. It's a shame because we used to love coming to eat.

The pizza was large, but the taste was very average. We would have expected more for the price. Not everything is big.

Would've loved it if something in the place told me I was gonna pay 4.50 for a water I saw them fill up from the sink. My main was 16€ and I ended paying 23 after fees

Today, March 31, 2025 at 1:30 pm, I went in with my wife to have lunch. I have always gone there, sometimes with family or friends. But it is getting worse and worse. Both in terms of food and hospitality. Today there was a waitress who greeted us and let us in. Then, while I said good morning and thank you, I went in with my wife to see what table she was giving us, she came back to us with a strange and overbearing look and told us that I shouldn't say thank you and move on. I was surprised by her behavior and asked her if she had misunderstood? But she continued with aggressive tuna. Then I replied that I didn't want to stay there anymore with this type of behavior and that I will contact the owner. And she replied do what you want. Practically zero education... not to mention that the only Italian thing there is is the name... not the people... not the kindness... not the hospitality... and not even the taste... best regards

Oggi al 31 marzo 2025 alle ore 13:30 sono entrato dentro con mia moglie per consumare il pranzo. Sono andato sempre lì, ogni tanto in famiglia o con amici. Ma sta diventando sempre peggio. Sia in qualità di cibo, che in ospitalità. Oggi c'era la cameriera che ci ha salutato e fatto entrare. Poi mentre le ho detto buongiorno e grazie sono entrato con mia moglie per vedere che tavolo ci dava, lei è tornata verso di noi con aria strana e prepotente e ci ha detto che io non dovevo dire grazie ed andare oltre. Sono rimasto stupito dal suo comportamento e le ho detto se ha capito male? Ma lei ha continuato con tonno aggressivo. Allora ho risposto che non volevo piu stare li con questo tipo di comportamento e che contatterò il proprietario. E lei mi risponde fai quello che ti pare. Praticamente educazione zero... per non dire che di italiano li c'è solo il nome..ne la gente..ne la gentilezza..ne l'ospitalità..e nemmeno il gusto.. distinti saluti

Great location right on the Stone Bridge

The Trattoria Marina / Pizzeria Ciao is a perfect place to enjoy the sun when the weather is good - ideally with an Aperol Spritz or another drink. The pizza is big, thin and crispy, exactly how you want it. The service is also friendly and quick. However, the prices are already quite high. Over €9 for an Aperol is steep - I would at least like glass or stainless steel straws to enjoy the drink even more. The best places outside are usually gone quickly, but that speaks more for the location than against it. 😉 Overall, a great address for a relaxed visit with Italian flair! 🍕🍹☀️

I've ordered a pizza to pick up here several times for 3 years now, but unfortunately today was the last time. The pricing policy can no longer be tolerated. A pizza for €18.90... A 30% increase in prices in 3 years! I'd rather go to a pizzeria with more reasonable prices

Before a concert at the University of Church Music, we treated ourselves to dinner at Trattoria Marina. Bruschetta, appetizer plate and soup were excellent and at an unusually good price-performance ratio. The service was very friendly and attentive and responded very well to our requests.

A restaurant with a good location, my food tasted good. If I had looked at the menu before sitting down, I would have left because of the prices, something reserved for people with better salaries. That's why I only had the pumpkin soup, which was actually good but too creamy for me personally. However, I would like to emphasize that the waiter who served me was extremely friendly and approachable, and the rest of the staff also seemed attentive and friendly. The waiter tried his best to find the best place for me and my dog. The lunch menu would have been good in terms of price, unfortunately none of the 3 dishes appealed to me, they would have been very liberal, except for the salad, I would like to have alternatives here. Due to the prices and the few vegetarian/vegan alternatives, I personally won't eat there again. But I don't want to badmouth the restaurant itself, it's certainly nice for others to eat there.

The restaurant is located in one of the busiest places for tourists and locals. Despite the crowds, we got a table and the wait for service wasn't excessively long. The food was good but nothing special. The young woman who served us was very friendly and attentive. The price was a bit high as expected.

We really like the pizza, we live nearby and often order take-out. I like the stamp system where you get the 7th pizza for free. Unfortunately the mixed salad for almost 7 euros is a disgrace. Instead you get a few leaves carelessly thrown into a bowl. The photo proves it, it would be nice to get more for it. In addition, the pizza is usually over 15 euros and isn't particularly cheap either. As a frequent customer I would wish for more.

Nice restaurant on the Stone Bridge, the food was very good, pizza was properly topped and an acceptable size, maybe a bit too much salt (maybe the chef was in love 🤩). The team is super nice and committed.. Gladly again
