Almost like in Italy, nicely set tables, great lunch specials and very empathetic, experienced and friendly service.

For me, Osteria Siciliana is one of the restaurants in Regensburg I enjoy visiting time and time again. The ambiance is harmonious: cozy, well-kept, and with a Mediterranean feel, without seeming overly pretentious. You quickly feel welcome, whether you're there as a couple or in a larger group. The menu offers a lovely selection of classic Italian dishes, complemented by changing daily specials. I particularly like the quality of the ingredients: many items appear fresh and carefully prepared. The portions are ample, neither too small nor overly large. I've never been disappointed with the taste – pasta, fish, or meat dishes have always been well-seasoned. The pizza also has a thin, crispy base and is highly recommended. The service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. You can tell that the team is trying to keep an eye on things, even when the restaurant is at full capacity. When the restaurant is busy, you might have to wait a little longer for drinks or the bill, but overall, the service is reliable and pleasant. The prices are mid-range to slightly higher, but in my opinion, they're fair considering the quality and the overall package. It's absolutely reasonable for a pleasant evening with good Italian food. Overall, Osteria Siciliana offers exactly what I expect from a good Italian restaurant: a harmonious atmosphere, good food, and reliable service. It's not for nothing that it's one of my favorite restaurants in Regensburg – I enjoy coming back again and again.

Great Italian restaurant in the east side of town. It was a perfect family evening. My pizza was amazing, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

The Saltimbocca a la Romana with rosemary potatoes as a plate dish: -Potatoes soggy from the sauce -The meat was topped with too many thick slices of ham On top of that, the food was only lukewarm and carelessly served. For €26, I expect crispy rosemary potatoes served separately, hot from the oven. The same applies to the Salmone Limone, for the same price. It wasn't hot, and the potatoes were soggy in the sauce. My wife and I were disappointed and speechless.

Personally, I found it very loud, so I only gave it 3 points for the ambiance. The decor is modern and clean. The pizzas were large and well-topped, but, according to everyone at the table, could perhaps have been seasoned a bit more. Otherwise, the service was cheerful, and everyone got their food as close together as possible. The prices are very reasonable, both for food and drinks (e.g., calzone €14, Lillehammer Wild Berry €7.50). We each received a €2 discount on the parking fee in the adjacent parking garages. That's a nice bonus ☺️.

Very tasty Italian with a good selection, special daily dishes and a delicious overall selection

We had a bad experience there and would never return. Unfortunately, everything went wrong from the start. We ordered drinks first, then the waitress came with all the other drinks because she had swapped the order. The appetizers were perfectly fine and plentiful. My husband ordered spaghetti carbonara. The plate contained overcooked spaghetti, floating in a questionable liquid. The plate was even half full of this liquid. There were only a few pieces of bacon, and the dish tasted completely bad. The other guests were also dissatisfied with their dishes because the pasta was overcooked. The wait times were extremely long. Although the staff served us friendly, this couldn't make up for the poor dining experience. Mistakes happen, but they happened all at once here. Unfortunately, we won't be returning because it was a very bad experience.

I've only ordered here so far, but this food already deserves a 5* rating! Without being able to verify the service quality on site, this pizzeria has become my new favorite pizzeria from the first bite! You can taste the love and the high-quality ingredients – a true explosion of flavor! Always a good choice if you want excellent Italian food. We were there last night. The food was good as always, and the service was attentive and friendly. The one-star deduction was actually for the parking. They advertise that you can park for free in the underground garage for two hours at lunch and four hours in the evening if you have your parking card validated at the restaurant. No sooner said than done, when the card was validated, we were told that you only get two hours free because the card that validates the four-hour parking is broken. Not really the guest's problem, which we also communicated, but okay... it doesn't stop us from paying the remaining fee. But it's a shame.

Very good food and excellent service. Reserve a table near the edge, as the acoustics in the middle are unfortunately like those of a train station concourse.

The Osteria Siciliana restaurant in the east of Regensburg was very disappointing with its treatment of us. A full-time waiter treated us very poorly. At first, we were shown to our table by a friendly temporary employee and served us warmly. Afterward, the waiter repeatedly rudely addressed her and frequently scolded her for continuing to serve us and the other tables. He said the restaurant was supposed to close at 10:00 PM. We also noticed that we were treated differently than the other guests. If you don't want to do your job conscientiously, you should look for another job. P.S.: I would like to give it 0 stars!

The lady provided excellent service. We were very satisfied with the way she was treated. The man was a disaster. If you're in service and don't want to do your job, you should change careers. We went to an Italian evening with a group of girls. Unfortunately, we were seated in the adjoining room, even though we had reserved something else. The restaurant was packed, which was clearly noticeable in the service. We would have liked a second drink. To order, we had to take action ourselves, get cards, and ask several times if we could order something else. An espresso or dessert would have been nice, too. The meal itself was great, even if the Gorgonzola sauce was more of a cream sauce. The atmosphere in the main room was great, and the live music also made us want to dance. But the overall package unfortunately wasn't right for that evening...

The pizzas weren't particularly well seasoned. The prawns were very oily.

We've been to this pizzeria many times and have always been very satisfied. The food is delicious and the staff is usually very friendly. Today we wanted to show a friend the beautiful restaurant and the good food, but she unfortunately came away with a very negative impression. We, too, are disappointed. Our friend initially wanted to order Parma ham with burrata as a starter, but then decided she didn't want to spend that much on the starter and ordered tomato with burrata instead. The waitress wasn't sure how much it would cost, but said, "It's not a lot." When we paid the bill, we noticed that Parma ham was charged with burrata (almost €20). When we asked about it, the chef became heated and justified it by saying that the tomato was "a beef tomato" and therefore the same price as Parma ham. In the end, she paid the same price anyway, even though she had deliberately wanted to avoid this. This, along with the cheeky reaction to the question, unfortunately disappointed us greatly. We are initially reluctant to continue choosing this pizzeria as our “regular pizzeria.”

Unfortunately, there are repeated disturbances throughout the entire neighborhood, causing a deafening noise well after 9 p.m. Very pleasant when you have to get up at 4 a.m. for the early shift.

We tried the pasta, (maybe because we were hungry) but it was good and tasty, the lady was very welcoming and kind, we tried the salad with a super-nice waitress who went out of her way to accommodate us. Finally, we tried the pizza, good, shame about the waiter who was a bit over the top and made us say... Tomorrow we'll change! We chose to eat at your place, paying quite a bit, this doesn't give you permission to make requests "because that's how it's done here"...

Hey yall ( don’t let the photo fool you) Honestly won’t be back.. the pasta I had , the noodles were very chewy .. overcooked if you will… Let’s just say the service isn’t what you want it to be .. our server .. at the end asked us for a tip.. now I seen him hand out other receipts to other customers and didn’t ask them for a tip? I’m confused here .. I know some places don’t ask / frown upon them but basically being told we have to tip was a new one for me especially out here in Germany .. If you wanna be told to tip then hey this is the place for you … All I know is .. we won’t be back.. Food: 3/10 Service : 1/10 Atmosphere: 2/10

A little bit of Bella Italia in Regensburg. Definitely still a top address for Italian food. Since the restaurant moved, we had lost sight of it a bit. But it's so nice that it still has the same excellent cuisine as the old location used to have. Service super nice and friendly. Nice bright open location. We look forward to the sun terrace in summer. An absolute must is the Cosa Nostra with garlic herb butter 👌

Today my favorite son invited me to the Osteria to eat pizza. He has installed the new Neo Taste app. Similar to the old voucher book, 1st pay for pizza and the 2nd is free. Reserve a table online. The app must be presented before ordering, which worked without any problems. We had 2 pizzas with ham and salami. The salami was from the wholesaler and the cheese was hardly available. Unfortunately, the Abate pizza with rocket, beef fillet and cherry tomatoes was cold. The service was friendly and on point. We were a bit disappointed. But of course there is a second chance.

I ordered the steak “Florentina” medium. Got a pan splattering with oil and an almost cooked steak (for 45€)

Starter plate was tasty, but carpaccio was only 2 small slices. Vitello Tonato had very little sauce. Saltimbucco was a very small portion. I had them with rosemary potatoes. I was missing the rosemary and there were a maximum of 10 small pieces. Lasagna was very modest and a children's portion. A total failure in terms of taste. Flavor of lemon and a bit of meat, but not like a lasagne should taste. Pizza 3/5. Soil was cheap and difficult to cut. Drinks size-wise definitely too small for the price. Small beer (0.2) costs €3.30 And Cola only comes in 0.33 and from a wine glass. The only positive thing today is the side bread. Restaurant is very cold, fridge feeling. In general, the portions are definitely too small and also way too expensive. The drinks are the same in liquid. We won't be coming back anytime soon, we were very disappointed. In the end, you pay for the ambience here. Came hungry, left hungry. Staff remained friendly despite complaints.

Pizza dough a little dry. Didn't taste it at all with pumpkin as a topping. Strange: Surcharge of 2.50 euros per meal for a change? Spicy salami pizza is standard, so why change it and again add extra costs for spicy? Then the price is no longer the same as other restaurants, too expensive. Local without room divider, kind of like a train station. I didn't like it that much.

The main food was good. Antipasta and pasta were all good. But the desert was dissapointing. We ordered a desert plate for two, but that was not good. Gelato tasted funny, the little cake was soaked with too much brandy(?). Food itself was 4☆ but the desert made the rate lower.....sad. Pasta was great! The staff was all friendly, nice and very helpful. Even tho there were so many ''confusions'' with the orders but they were so friendly that didn't bother us! The atmosphere was lovely. Rarely have I seen such a well-coordinated restaurant. From the furnishings to the food, everything is really of a high standard. Redeeming our Neotaste voucher was also no problem. Gladly again !!!

A solid Osteria with pizzas that are quite good. There is always a varied topping on the daily menu. The noodles are rather boring, taste flat and the portion size is not sufficient. The drinks like wine are too expensive for me here, we are not in a trendy bar or in the old town. The lunch menu, on the other hand, is great in terms of price. Unfortunately, the waitresses have never been attentive here, drinks remain empty until you actively order something. In the evening, collecting money can take longer because the staff is more busy cleaning up than dealing with the guests. After visiting this Osteria several times to give this Osteria another chance, the conclusion remains "quite okay".

Not recommended! You can also recognize a good pizzeria by a complaint. We ordered our food at 7:15 p.m. The appetizer and drinks were delivered quickly. After that, however, there was a lull. The restaurant was well attended. In my opinion, the number of service staff was sufficient. At around 8:30 p.m. I asked for the main course (pasta with mushrooms). The waitress apologized to me. In the meantime, two neighboring tables, who later placed the order, were served with their food. At 9 p.m. I wanted to cancel the meal, but was refused on the grounds that it was already in the pan. After another 20 minutes the food was brought, which I then had packed. That with noodles! I would have expected that my cancellation would be taken into account, that the manager would apologize and that there would be a little attention. Unfortunately not and hence this bad rating.

Friendly staff and fast service

We ordered tagliatelle with mushrooms and cannelloni with spinach... the pasta was overcooked and without flavour... the waiter, a truly disrespectful, uneducated person... did nothing but ignore us all the time, he served us the pasta without not even bringing cutlery and every question asked, he answered with great arrogance and without even a shred of respect for the customer. Better if he changes profession. Never have a similar experience again, EVER AGAIN.

Both the pizzas and the pasta taste delicious here, made with love. For my friend, the carbonara here is one of the best in Regensburg. The table decoration creates a romantic, warm atmosphere.

Many people call themselves Italians. But people actually still cook (and speak) Italian here. Excellent lasagna with real mozzarella. And the ultra delicious carbonara contains real pancetta and parmesan as it should be. The homemade ice cream at the end is, as always, a treat. Very friendly staff, even when the store is full.

This is particularly disappointing for regulars like me who have visited the restaurant regularly over the years. The changes in the restaurant's management have not necessarily had a positive impact on the overall experience. The original manager used to be known for the high quality of the food and excellent service. Since the change in management, the level seems to have dropped somewhat. Despite these points of criticism, there are also positive aspects to be mentioned. The food at Osteria Siciliana is average and a bit overpriced, but still edible. So you can definitely consider a visit if you just fancy Italian cuisine every now and then. Personally, I really regret that I now only go to Osteria Siciliana once a quarter, whereas I used to eat there twice a week. It's a shame to see former regulars visiting less often due to loss of quality and price increases. Overall, it can be said that the Osteria Siciliana in Regensburg is still an option for visiting a restaurant, but no longer with the same enthusiasm as before. We can only hope that management takes the criticisms seriously because there are some really good alternatives.

A good, down-to-earth Osteria that is rightly celebrated for its pizzas. The toppings on the pizzas are imaginative and in some cases have a unique selling point here in Regensburg. The other dishes are also of very good quality. I can especially recommend the starters. There are parking spaces in the parking garage right next to it. The service is extremely polite and customer-oriented.

We've eaten at this restaurant twice now and we really enjoyed it each time. Both times I opted for the pizza, which is very good - nice and crispy and delicious toppings. The first time my husband had a fish platter which he described as fresh and delicious, and on the second visit he also couldn't resist the pizza. One can particularly recommend the red house wine. The service was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant - we feel comfortable here and will definitely come back!
