Trattoria Lugana in Berlin

First night in Berlin and walked in 30 minutes before closing as it’s next to my daughter’s accomodation. Staff greeted us warmly, and the food exceeded expectations- 4 cheese pizza was great , cooked just right , and monkfish linguini excellent. Good selection of wine. Walked past many times since and it’s always busy!

A very friendly team and the atmosphere is inviting to forget everyday life and enjoy life. The portions are generous and generous and the taste is a feast for the palate. We really enjoy coming here and enjoying time out with nice people and delicious food.

No, grace! The taste is acceptable and the service is also quite nice! BUT apart from the names of the dishes, the food has NOTHING to do with Italian cuisine! A carbonara here is a ham and cream sauce on completely creamy cooked spaghetti. The lasagna also has the consistency of a cream spread and the arrabbiata is at best pasta with tomato sauce - Miracoli tastes very similar, is much cheaper and I can see for myself that the spaghetti is al dente. In short - before I go to Lugana, I buy a pack of Miracoli and that makes it even better. Unfortunately.

Do not try it. Very bad!!!!!! Don't try this restaurant, the environment is extremely bad, there are a lot of flies flying around, extremely unhygienic, you have to keep waving your hands to get rid of the flies. We had two bites of spaghetti and found a dead fly inside the spaghetti. We asked the waiter for help and he kept asking if the fly was in the pasta itself, saying that the restaurant was already full of flies and that he did not believe that the fly was there when the food was served. He thinks the fly was there it is after they provided the food. They made it sound as if we put them there on purpose and just took away the plates without any follow-up action, not even an apology. Then they gave us the bill and demanded that we pay for the pasta. We were questioning the waiter and he was extremely rude and impolite. We showed him a picture of a fly and the waiter said that the fly was in the neighborhood and flew into the spaghetti and kept pointing to the number on the bill and asking us to pay for it, speaking German and pretending that he didn't know how to speak English. Then he cursed us in English and asked extremely rude questions. They asked us what country we were from and if we were Chinese. The picture shows that the fly was covered with sauce and was already dead. If it was a live fly flying around, it could not have died immediately after coming into to pasta. He suddenly took our phone without saying a word and went back to the restaurant, extremely rude. Then when he came back out, he said we had to pay half the price because we had eaten the pasta. If it didn't have the flies, we would have eaten the pasta, but who would dare to continue to eat the pasta if it had the bugs? The waiter's attitude was very bad. He looked at us with a very mean look. We are the victims, right? As a restaurant, the most basic thing must be clean to ensure the health of customers and have a quality dining experience. However, this restaurant knew that their dining environment was extremely poor, full of flies, and unhygienic, and did not make any apology attempting to use various reasons and treating us with extreme rudeness, as if they thought we intentionally did not want to pay. The experience was really bad. In the end, they said in English that we were not allowed to come here again. The hygiene problem was with the restaurant and we said we wouldn't want to come back either. He whistled extremely rudely. Do not try it. Very bad!!!!!!

The worst experience ever!!!!!!! It got a fly inside the pasta, and we told the waiter. He took the plate and keep asking us “are you sure the fly not just fly on it, are you sure?” I mean “ DUDE, look at the fly, it’s burned, did it seem like just fly inside to you???” Then, he just took plate and left and no response to us at all. When we ask to pay the bill, he give us the check with the whole price of the pasta and he expect we paid of it (more than a half is left over as we immediately stop eating after the fly). We complained about it and the boss just ask us “ are we from China” OMGGGGG, no matter where we from, that is not the reason we should accept this unreasonable thing. I show him the picture of the fly and he took my phone without asking and got inside the kitchen. That’s RUDE!!!!! After he came out, he said because we ate half of the pasta so we still need to pay half of it. But that is not the point. He threat me by making me admit that the fly is just fly inside. He told us never to go to the restaurant again. I think he even speak foul language in Germany. JUST DON’T COME TO THIS RESTAURANT!

The Trattoria Lugana is located in the southwest of Berlin in the immediate vicinity of the Teltow Canal. The food is of outstanding quality, whether pasta, pizza, meat, fish or seasonal variants (asparagus, chanterelles, mussels, etc.). The team is unreservedly courteous and polite with the classic Italian charm you know and enjoy. No matter what time of year and what weather, the trattoria always offers a pleasant place to stay, even for last-minute visits, thanks to its spacious winter garden. My very favorite Italian restaurant in Berlin!

We sat outside, the street is a bit noisy. The food was perfect, both the liver and Saltimbocca alla Romana. The service was calm and courteous. My wife had very positive memories of the waiter's smile while serving.

I was ordering pizzas here regularly, always same set, with a pick-up most of the times. One time I came, and they prepared my order, came out with the boxes of pizzas and payment terminal, so I paid as usual. Then they hidden the boxes with pizzas on the back, and told me "this payment was for the last time, as last time something went wrong with your payment and in the end the payment was not accepted. Now if you want you new pizza, pay again". My first reaction was confusion, but ok, I checked the bank history on my phone and in fact they were right - last time payment did not go throguth... so I paid again. Zero problem for me. There were multiple ways how to address the problem, but I think they thought that I will not pay at all and leave, and they would not proove anything, as this was their problem not to check the payment acceptation last time. So they decided to play a game with me, saying that the payment for "these boxes of pizzas that you see now" is now, but then they hiddent them. Joke and circus. So the way they decided to approach the problem, and came up with the funny game, and the assumption that I am a thieft, is the dumbest dumbest ever. You deserve 0 for the customer experience.

Maybe that's why it's still an insider tip, because it's not immediately recognizable as a delicious restaurant when you drive past from the street. The cuisine is simply fantastic and you get a great impression of Veneto cuisine here! Attention, this is not a cheap tourist pizzeria, but a typical trattoria with a variety of traditional dishes. Clear recommendation after visiting family during a vacation that has unfortunately just ended. Bravo, fantastic!

Quite simply our “favorite Italian”

We ate there on July 13th, 2024 and I can only recommend it to everyone. They have plenty of seating inside, in front of the restaurant and in the winter garden and the food was simply delicious. Whether pizza (Diavola, Tonno) or pasta (Carbonara), everyone was happy and went home well-rounded.

Always delicious there and always worth a visit... You are always welcomed in a friendly manner and the service is great... Keep it up... We always enjoy coming back to you...

Super nice staff, the starter was delicious as was the pizza. I would have liked the latter to be a little crispier, but that should be announced in advance. In between you will be treated to delicious grappa. All highly recommended. It's very crowded from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., then wonderfully quiet. Always my pleasure!

The owners of this restaurant are very suspicious. Especially with women: be careful. If you are living in Goerzalle: do not try to work there!! Especially if you're a woman

I actually wanted to go out for an African meal with my cousin and her partner. But they didn't want to do that! They really wanted to show me their Italian restaurant Trattoria Lugana and ordered a table. I do not regret it. The four-legged companion was also greeted very warmly. 🐕 are welcome here. The ambience was very nice. The fruit you could take also looked fresh. The generous floral decorations were arranged to suit the season. It was a perfect match. Wir hatten das Essen zur Abholung vorbestellt. Am Restaurant befinden sich ein Parkplatz. Alternativ kann auch an der Straße geparkt werden. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Gastraum sah ansprechend und gemütlich aus. Dem Pizzabäcker kann man bei der Zubereitung über die Schulter schauen, die Zubereitung findet im hinteren Teil eines Gastraums statt. Die Speisen wurden gut verpackt und waren zuhause noch ausreichend warm. Alle bestellten Speisen waren ausreichend portioniert und schmeckten ausgezeichnet.

War alles sehr eindrucksvoll, hatte mir sehr gut gefallen, das Essen war... Leute geht selber hin ...bombastisch!!!

Leider wurden wir diesmal vom Essen - Bistecca grilia- enttäuscht. Beide Steaks waren mariniert und sehr salzig, haben es hinterher bereut , das Fleisch nicht zurückgeschickt zu haben. Der Chef behauptete, das Fleisch würde frisch zubereitet. Schade !

Als Nachbar kenne ich die Trattoria nun seit 12 Jahren und bin seitdem Stammgast. Nach dem Besitzerwechsel vor ein paar Jahren haben die Besitzer das Restaurant in allen Belangen unfassbar weiterentwickelt. Die Krönung ist der Wintergarten, in dem es zu jeder Jahreszeit unglaublich gemütlich ist. Die Dekoration ist Liebe zum Detail. Als Stammgast fühlt man sich fast schon als Teil der Familia und der Espresso geht immer aufs Haus. Und natürlich ist das Essen unfassbar. Denn eins wurde aus der Zeit vorher beibehalten: die beste Steinofenpizza, in meinen Augen. Mein Tipp: Rustica. Ich bin sehr glücklich, dieses Restaurant als meinen Stammitaliener bezeichnen zu dürfen!

Sehr leckere Vorspeisen, gute und große Pizza, nettes Personal, trotz der vielen Gäste keine zu lange Wartezeit.

Wir hatten einen Tisch im Gartenbereich. und ware gegen 18.45 Uhr dort. Es flitzten viele Kellner durch die Gegend , die mal ein Bier trugen oder irgendwo Käse auf Spaghetti streuten. Nachdem wir dann die Speiesenkarte erhielten, kamen die Geträke und der Salat recht zügig an den Tisch. Die Hauptspeise, -Filet vom Schwein, vom Rind und ein Saltimbocca-Gericht- wurden wohl erst aus Italien eingeflogen. Auf Nachfrage beim Ober gab es nur ein Achselzucken und erst, als ich nach fast 1 1/2 Stunden die Getränke und den Salat bezahlen wollte, um das Lokal zu verlassen, kam nach ca. 3 min. das Essen an den Tisch. Leider hat sich dafür die Wartezeit nicht gelohnt. Fleisch fest bis zu fest (wohl ein Opfer der Wartezeit), Rosmarienkartoffeln zerstückelt, Sauce 08/15 und das Ganze lieblos angerichtet. Wir waren am Tag vorher bei einem nicht weit entfernten Italiener ( im Nachhinein Superitaliener) und wollten mal was anderes probieren. Zwar sind wir schon einmal dort nicht zufrieden gewesen, aber eine zweite Chance wollten wir geben. Schade, nicht genutzt.

Ich schwärme nur noch von dieser Trattoria. Den Vorbesitzer kann ich schon seit 1983, aber Pascale hat den Laden revolutioniert. Das Essen ist immer toll und schmeckt sehr. Der Service ist gut, wenn's voll besetzt ist muss mann zwar auch entsprechend warten aber verträglich. Für mich eine Note 1. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Einfache italienische Küche mit Pluspunkten, Trüffel wird direkt am Tisch über die Nudeln gegeben..sehr geil. Die Bruschetta war enttäuschend aber der Rest war sehr gut. Die Portionen sind wirklich sehr gut und Preis Leistung top.

Da ich heute ,das erste mal mit meiner Familie dort gegessen habe ,hat mich alles sehr erfreut alles ganz toll ....würde ich gerne immer wieder dort hingehen.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Die calamaris allerdings waren unverhältnismäßig teuer. Stehen nicht auf der Karte. Erst auf Nachfrage.

Ich hole da regelmäßig Essen für die Familie zum mitnehmen. Deren Zeitangaben passen immer gut, daher geht es immer recht schnell für mich und zum eigentlichen Service usw kann ich nichts sagen. Bei meinen kurzen Besuchen sind da immer alle sehr freundlich, ich denke man kann dort auch gut vor Ort essen. Pizzen und Pasta war immer prima.

Ein gutes Ambiente, nette und schnelle Bedienung , meine Pizza war wirklich gut und auch gut belegt. Ich kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Fleisch und Nudelgerichte waren sehr gut. Pizza Salami war nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Billige Blockwurst und sehr fettig. Pizzateig war gut. Bedienung ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, ist eine Empfehlung wert.

Sehr nettes Restaurant, sehr gut aufgemacht mit einem schönen Garten, der bei sommerlichen Temperaturen auch sein Dach öffnen kann. Leider . Leider musste ich als Raucher feststellen, daß bei geöffnetneten Dach und Seitenscheiben das Rauchen nicht möglich ist. 😉
