Trattoria Da Paolo in München

Unfortunately a little loveless. We discovered the restaurant while taking a walk and found it super cozy. So make a reservation straight away. There were four of us and we were disappointed. After the first course (carpaccio, baby calamari on salad, grilled pecorino with honey), we asked that we would like to take a half-hour break until the second course came. “The pasta is already ready,” we were told, and it came to the table immediately when the starter plates were cleared away. By the way, the fish too. We are told that we should have said that about the break right at the beginning. In a restaurant with high standards you are usually asked whether the kitchen can continue. Well, okay. The Sardinian pasta with salsiccia and pecorino tasted very good, although a little watery. Also the tagliolini with lemon sauce. Okay but not outstanding. The bottled wine was fine, the two glasses of open white wine at 10 euros (each) were not worth the money. You will miss the typically warm Italian hospitality. There is no question of whether the food was good. Let alone whether you want a coffee. The coats will be put in the cloakroom when you arrive, and when you leave you will be left to your own devices. The two of us paid 182 euros with a tip (including a bottle of wine) - and unfortunately we have to say: the price-performance ratio is lagging. Sooooo sad!

One thing has to be said first… Petra and Paolo are (in our opinion and experience) specialists in their field☺️ It's rare to experience so much attention to detail and fantastically fresh dishes these days! Petra in service demonstrates a high quality of service every day, because rarely does anyone have such a feeling for their guests. Paolo is a great cook and knows how to handle his products. Creativity has no limits here! We love this restaurant and can recommend it from the bottom of our hearts! And if sometimes the day doesn't go as smoothly as we've seen in previous reviews, that doesn't mean anything. There is really nothing that is missing in this restaurant and the effort and love for the profession of the owners is clearly noticeable. Keep it up! Great expectations, bitter disappointment: We celebrated my father's birthday this evening at Trattoria Da Paolo. My parents were visiting Munich and I really wanted to show them the beautiful Sardinia in my neighborhood - I've been there four times before and have always been very impressed by the food and ambience. Unfortunately, all of this has been pushed into the background this evening with such unfriendly and uncharming service. Although we mentioned as soon as we arrived that it was my father's birthday, the landlady (and also the owner? and the cook's wife) couldn't even say "happy birthday". She didn't even manage to smile the whole evening; we felt "unwelcome" and "fobbed off". With a bill of well over 200 euros for five people and a generous tip, in the end we weren't even offered a grappa or an espresso on the house - despite it being a birthday. Unfortunately, we all left the restaurant very disappointed. No trace of style - and that at very steep prices. This cannot be made up for by the good food and beautiful ambience. Da Paolos saw us for the last time - even though we are direct neighbors. Too bad.

Absolute insider tip and heartfelt recommendation From the service, to the ambience, to the cuisine, Da Paolo is absolutely recommended. The restaurant is cozy and charmingly furnished. The service is friendly, very attentive and super pleasant. Every dish is prepared with attention to detail. The visit leaves nothing to be desired. I would come again and again and can only recommend it.

Everything was delicious (from the starters to the dessert, including the wines) and excellent service. Without a doubt the best Sardinian restaurant in Monaco.

The food was very good although quite expensive. The furnishings.....everything is way too cluttered with things that almost overwhelm you when you look at them....less would be much better😁

Wonderful night with the Resto, but the food price is no longer reasonable - Antipasti for 4 worths almost 90€ serving grilled vegetables, salami and 4 prawns doesn’t seem a legit price. I know inflation is a thing, but this is beyond acceptable range. Subjective comment on this matter only, rests assured, the atmosphere was good.

Porta un pezzo di Sardegna a Monaco!

Passion, Herz und Liebe zum Detail in Ambiente, Angebot und Gastfreundlichkeit. Wir haben die Trattoria da Paolo zum ersten Mal besucht, zunächst Vorspeisen für 2 Personen, eine Pasta und ein Ossobuco gewählt. Alle Gerichte waren mit großem handwerklichen Geschick zubereitet und in Qualität, Geschmack und Präsentation ein wahrer Hochgenuss. Die Panna Cotta und das Semifreddo al Torrone zum Dessert waren trotz der bis dahin wirklich starken Vorstellung eine erneute Verführung der Sinne. Ich hatte vergleichbare kulinarische Erlebnisse bisher nur in der Sterne Gastronomie jedoch, hier kocht kein 20 köpfiges Team sondern der Inhaber mit nur einer zweiten Person selbst! Dabei wird man auf eine beeindruckende Reise in die sardisch traditionelle Küche mitgenommen. Ich bin wirklich beeindruckt. Die gut sortierte Weinkarte und die stilvolle, warme Atmosphäre der Dekoration folgen bis ins Detail ebenso der sehr angenehmen Heimatverbundenheit des Inhabers. Der Espresso ist perfekt in Geschmack und Konsistenz und die landestypischen Spirituosen vom Aperitif bis zum Grappa von allerfeinster Wahl. Unser Besuch in der Trattoria da Paolo war ein wirklich selten schönes Geschenk in einer Zeit der lauten, belanglosen Oberflächlichkeiten. Wir werden zweifelsohne noch viele Male hier einkehren.

Super good Italian restaurant Munich!

Wenn jemand gehobenes Essen und einen sehr guten Service haben möchte, dann beim Paolo. Das Essen ist unheimlich gut. Mit den feinsten Zutaten wird das Gericht mit Liebe zubereitet. Was das Gericht noch schmackhafter macht, ist die Freundlichkeit des Paares (Paolo und seine Frau Petra), Lächeln und Spaß ist immer vorhanden. Jedes Mal wenn meine Frau und ich hier essen sind, haben wir einen wunderschönen Abend und sind bestens versorgt. Wenn man einmal da war, wird man zum Stammkunden.. Danke für alles!🇮🇹 Momo 😊

Das Essen und Spirituosen, sehr gute Qualität...absolut Spitze!!!👍 Immer wieder ein "Geschmackserlebnis"! Mega gute Weine!!!!! Service ist sehr freundlich, charmant und auch humorvoll!!! Man fühlt sich dort gut aufgehoben...und geht zufrieden nach Hause. Was will man mehr....😁...kann ich nur empfehlen 👌

Eine sehr urige und gemütliche Trattoria, nicht sehr groß, was aber einen sehr familiären Charme ausmacht. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und von gehobenem Niveau. Der Service war stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend in einem Lokal, das in die Kategorie "Geheimtipp" fallen dürfte.

Essen ist gut, aber teuer. Die "Komposition von Vorspeisen" ist mit € 19.50 viel zu teuer.

Gute und originelle Gerichte, aber unverschämt teuer. Vor allem da, wo es nicht so auffällt, Getränke, etc. In München ist man ja einiges gewohnt, aber das geht mir zu weit.

Zufällig entdeckt und angenehm überrascht! Nettes Ambiente, schön zum draußen sitzen und sehr gutes faires Mittagsmenü! Und freundlicher Service! Ich komme wieder!

Ein uriges italienisches Lokal, welches auch von Italienern betrieben wird. Typisch mediterane Vorspeisen als Art Tapas gereicht, schmackhaftes Hauptgericht, obgleich das Fleisch (Rind) etwas zäh war. Die verschiedenen Nachspeisen waren sehr gut. Die Gaststube präsentiert sich typisch italienisch. Sehr freundlicher Service. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Geniale sardische Küche, top Service in einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Fast könnte man meinen wirklich auf der schönen Insel selbst zu sein. Absolute Empfehlung!

Lovely resturant and staff. Superfriendly , always kept attention if we finsihed or wish to order more wine/food. I higly recommend them. Try the scampi pasta!! Short note for the other reviews: the pasta is not undercooked , its called AL DENTE. This is how it should be served not that gluy / moulder texture most of us got used to by other restaurants.

Einfach grandios! Selten so unfassbar zufrieden gewesen. Super netter und sympathischer Service. Hervorragende Speisekarte. Perfekte Auswahl: von allem etwas, alles mit Raffiness und viel Liebe auf den Teller gebracht. Eher übersichtliche Teller, Portionsgrößen sind aber mehr als ausreichend. Ambiente perfekt passend für ein italienisches Lokal (auch wenn für meinen Geschmack relativ viel los ist in dem kleinen Raum). Alles einfach perfekt auf den Punkt getroffen. Ein authentisches italienisches Lokal mit Charme, Sympathie, Gaumenfreude und viel Amore <3 zu Leben und Genuss!!!
