Trattoria da Enzo DUE in Hamburg

Although the food was good, and we had a good time for most of the time, the mood changed completely when it came to paying the bill : we were 5 people and asked if we could divide the bill of 300 euros by 5 but the waiter (I guess the owner) reacted in a very awkward and aggressive way: he simply refused, started shouting at us, threatening and insulting us in Italian when he saw we wouldn’t let go and accept to pay in one time. In the end he accepted to split in two (or even three but what’s the point honestly) and keep being agressive until the end. We are guessing he didn’t want to pay the credit card payment fee five times but who knows. He also asked very aggressively to give a tip. Never seen that in my life, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Favoloso! We stopped by here late at night and got the last table. All the tables in the restaurant were occupied, which is always a good sign. Service was excellent and the food delicious. The prices are a bit pricey, but it's still worth a visit. The atmosphere is cozy and very charming. If we ever come back to Hamburg, we'll stop by again.

First of all: It's expensive. But if you're looking for a truly good Italian restaurant, you'll find it at Trattoria da Enzo DUE. It's great for groups, and also great for a solo meal. Authentic cuisine, excellent service, and a very cozy atmosphere.

Waiting for two hours for food can happen, but the fact that three people had already finished eating and only then was the food brought for the other two people, yes, that's really not nice. The food really wasn't good, and that after such a long wait! That! Sorry, never again.

The food was delicious. However, we expected a bit more for the prices (main courses)... The service was good, fast, and friendly. We sat outside, which was nice because we were sitting outside, but the tables were too close together for us, so we overheard every conversation from the next table.

I've been there twice. The first time, the scampi on the pasta was completely overcooked. One was literally burnt. The second time, everything was great. A lovely place. The service was very good...I'll be back.

Abbiamo prenotato per 4 in questo ristorante per la cena , di solito portano una ciotola di olive a pagamento con il pane, abbiamo ordinato 4 pappardelle con asparagi e zucchine con scaglie di parmigiano, e per dolce delle panne cotte con i frurri di bosco, da bere acqua e birra. Prezzi medio alti, ma prodotti di qualità.

We booked for 4 at this restaurant for dinner, they usually bring a bowl of olives for a fee with the bread, we ordered 4 pappardelle with asparagus and courgettes with parmesan flakes, and for dessert panna cotta with wild berries, to drink water and beer. Medium-high prices, but quality products.

New boss with new creative dishes and very good wine recommendations. We will be coming back.

I can hardly put it into words; in short, it was the best Italian restaurant I've experienced in Germany. There were four of us there; we regularly eat Italian food in both Italy and Germany. Our first visit to DaEnzo impressed us. The quality and taste were outstanding. Thanks again to the entire team, and a special thanks to our "personal advisor," Luca. We'll definitely be back. A great antipasti tip: burata with grilled tomatoes... and the homemade pasta.

This is my first time ever for lunch because I was stopped in town. Inexpensive, everything was very good with soup and cake. Good, even very good, espresso! I can recommend! And on a sunny day in mid-March you can already eat outside in the sun!

Sah eigentlich ganz einladend aus, aber das Essen - nicht nochmal. Entrecôte Tagliata für 30€, da kann man was gutes, essbares erwarten. Leider war das Fleisch zäh und knorpelig, 2 von 5 Stücken und der Rest hat auch nicht überzeugt. Der Wein schmeckte nicht, es war neben der Tür kalt, da die Eingangstür nicht richtig schließt. Sehr schade um den Abend. Das war ein einmaliges Erlebnis, zumal das Essen auch noch schwer im Magen lag. Danke für nichts.

Ein ehrlicher, traditioneller Italiener in schöner Lage, richtig gutes Essen zu einem fairen (nicht billig) Kurs anbietet. Wir hatten Bruchetta, Vitello Tonato und Carpaccio. Dann Fisch und Trüffel-Pasta. Alles war sehr lecker. Das Lokal ist urgemütlich und der Service überaus gut…. mit allerlei italienisch drumherum….. Ein Besuch ist immer eine runde Sache ….. auch geschäftlich. Ein Tipp: Bucht das kleine Zimmer rechts von der Garderobe.

We were there for the Christmas fire and really enjoyed our time there. The food was excellent. I can particularly recommend the pasta with truffles. The antipasti and dessert variations also tasted just as good.

The team is very harmonious, they make you feel like your home, they allow you to have a more enjoyable meal in this comfort, the food is already amazing. Surrender to the owner, Enzo, he does not mislead you.

Authentic Italian Tratoria of the upper class. The dining room almost has about 10 tables. There is only one wine list (large selection), the menu is written on boards on the walls. The service was very nice, everyone also spoke Italian. Each pasta is finished and consumed live in the dining room in a Parmesan wheel (grana padano). Unfortunately, there was a loud argument between the service and the kitchen, but I've seen that from restaurants like this. The pasta and desserts are highly recommended, you just need to add some seasoning as this is not done when serving. In the end a very pleasant experience, for two people with desserts and two drinks you should calculate around €100.

Really not good handling...! Dec 2024 • Family Despite some negative experiences (forgetting our fiftieth birthday reservation, waiting a long time for food, serving the wrong food...) we remained loyal to Enzo Due. Now my daughter had forgotten her cashmere hat in the restaurant. Since she doesn't come from Hamburg, she asked by phone whether she had been found and whether the hat could be sent to her in an envelope stamped and addressed by her. Found: Yes, but sending: NO, that wouldn't work, was the succinct answer. She then asked for it to be stored for later collection. When friends wanted to pick up the hat later, that was it on the grounds that she was gone, it was not possible and she had been hung on the coat rack. We will definitely never be a guest in this restaurant again and will not recommend it to anyone!

Trotz einiger negativen Erfahrungen, ( Reservierung fünfzigster Geburtstag vergessen, lange auf das Essen gewartet, falsches Essen serviert… ) sind wir dem Enzo Due treu geblieben. Nun hatte meine Tochter ihre Kaschmirmütze im Restaurant vergessen. Da sie nicht aus Hamburg kommt, hat sie telefonisch angefragt, ob sie gefunden wurde und ob man ihr die Mütze in einem von ihr frankierten und adressierten Umschlag zuschicken könnte. Gefunden: Ja, aber Zuschicken: NEIN, das ginge nicht, war die lapidare Antwort. Sie hat dann, für eine spätere Abholung um Aufbewahrung gebeten. Als dann Freunde die Mütze später abholen wollten, war das mit der Begründung, sie sei weg, nicht möglich gewesen, man habe sie an die Garderobe gehängt. Wir werden nun definitiv nie mehr in diesem Restaurant zu gast sein und es auch nicht weiterempfehlen!

Very tasty food, particularly courteous service and real Italians! We had a sensational appetizer platter. The main courses of pasta + truffles / porcini mushrooms and the house wine Rosé were also very tasty. Highly priced, but also top quality. The fact that there is no menu, but everything is on the board, is what makes it so special. You know that people are always thinking about food in new ways. Despite the restaurant being full, a table was spontaneously put together for us. It was a great evening!

We were standing in front of the restaurant and the door opened; comes in family. Understood. Now we couldn't cancel anymore. From the first moment it was Italian warm and welcoming. We had two children (9 & 15) with us. Waiters really responded well to the children. The food was simply sensational. Antipasti top, the homemade pasta was really good, entrecote very well prepared and tender. The wines, limoncello and mousse are not run of the mill, everything is well selected and of good quality. An experience! We were there for the first time. We were there on a Friday evening, the conditions were very accommodating and the advice was excellent. The dishes were all on point!

The restaurant is absolutely not Italian, neither the food nor the people who work there. Very unfriendly service with an evil look and fake smile. The cards were quickly snatched out of the hand. I thought about ordering more, but I wasn't given the time to think about it. I don't want to go here again. Very unsympathetic and strange overall.

We were there again for a long time because we had friends visiting. We had, among other things, 2 x sea bream that were not cooked through. After a complaint they grilled it again. No excuse or anything like that because the side dishes of course got cold in the meantime. 2 x pasta very average and 2 x lasagne for the kids, which our kids didn't particularly like either. Tiramisu slapped cheerlessly into a glass and not tasty either. To make the experience complete, poor service and charged 3 EUR extra for bread and olives. It's nice to sit but the good old days are definitely over. A disappointed resident. NOT RECOMMENDED

Nosotros (fiesta de seis) pasamos el restaurante por casualidad, pensamos que se veía bien y nos dejamos caer para la cena. Resultó ser un punto culminante de nuestro fin de semana en Hamburgo. Personal ocupado pero muy atento y amable, comida fabulosa para vegetarianos y no vegetarianos por igual (pruebe los raviolis en una salvia - salsa de mantequilla infundida) . En general, la cocina italiana acogedora y el ambiente en su mejor momento.

A very good Italian restaurant: typical Italian hospitality/warmth paired with delicious food. I have been here several times for company events. The staff manages to serve larger groups without any problems. Nobody has to wait long for their meal or drink.

As always, very fresh food. Pasta perfect to my taste. However, the salad with king prawns is not really recommended as you are prepared to only get two prawns. Otherwise excellent!

This restaurant thinks it has 5 stars and is on the Bronks. The price-performance ratio is exorbitantly outrageous €17.50 for 3 scallops, €15.50 for 5 ravioli. The salmon we ordered was bland and dry. In addition, there was no menu. You have to have fun with a board and see what's out there. Apart from being Italian there is no bruscetta. You can definitely buy coke for that, because that's how the staff behaved. Arrogant, hectic, forgets you, runs back and forth 100 times (just annoying). The products start at €13.50 and end at utopian (with drinks). I'm disappointed! How come? Given the prices, you assume that the furnishings are elegant and beautiful. Puppy cake. We sat outside and the only source(s) of light there were 10 space heaters that roasted your face and 2 candles. We had to eat at the table with a flashlight because we couldn't see our food. When we wanted to pay, the waiter asked if we wanted to give him a tip. This store is only interested in making a profit and that is how you will be treated. My family owns an Italian restaurant and we don't treat our customers that way. We left almost €300 for children's meals and a bit of drinking. When paying it was not possible to pay separately. The waiter said he didn't know how to do that. He literally begged us to pay for everything by card or in cash. I've never experienced anything like that either. This is not a difficult undertaking. When I gave the waiter a tip of €10, he looked at me stupidly and gave me a grunt that said: "Why are you giving me €10, you ungrateful person?" We were deducted from our bill for water that we ordered but never received. At the end it was said. Ohhh we can't undo that. I can give one of you a glass of wine for that. Then there was a glass of wine for one. I don't understand why so many people eat there. The clientele in the restaurant was also predominantly 20+. People who think they are George Clooney himself. I could go on now, but I'll stop before the food, which is still heavy in my stomach 24 hours later, comes back up in anger. We're never coming back!

Avevamo voglia di mangiar italiano. Abbiam scelto proprio bene. Serviti da un cameriere albanese simpatico e professionale. I piatti sono abbondanti e per questo abbiamo preso per antipasto 2 carpacci seguiti da tagliatelle fatte in casa con fingerli girate nella forma di grana. Buonissimi. E poi un buon tiramisù in 2 e 2 espressi. Privatelo

This is the most authentic Italian dish in northern Germany

Unfortunately I had to experience today that I will not be visiting this trattoria again. Mediocre Italian cuisine at high prices, very poor service (which was overlooked for most of my stay) and we were charged for the food we ordered which we never received. All in all, I have to say that I definitely know better Italian places where you can get higher quality at cheaper prices.

Good location with a feel-good factor, "typical" Italian service... simply lovely, delicious food, pleasant places and a harmonious price-performance factor. We recommend.

Very unfriendly and snippy staff. There are no menus. There is one on the Internet, but it is probably not correct and should not be taken into account. There are only two small boards with dishes written on them. Not much choice. The portions are very small for the very expensive prices. Taste OK but nothing special. I've eaten at much better Italian restaurants. Not worth recommending. I won't be visiting this place again.

Very unfriendly service, starting with the fact that you asked for the menu (which isn't available) but no one pointed out that there were two signs with the menu next to the entrance. So we waited in vain for the tickets for a while until we had to ask again and were charged for it. Then the wrong food was brought, and we were also blamed for that and even complained about (even though it didn't have to be replaced). The portion was super small, the noodles tasted old and were even hard in some places. Not a good experience. We won't come again.

Excelente comida y servicio muy amable. Teníamos la burrata con ensalada de tomate a la parrilla (con su vinagre balsámico casero) , la pasta de porcini y tiramisú. Vino a un precio razonable de 8€ por copa. El personal era excelente y amable. No mucho inglés, pero eres bueno si puedes arreglártelas en alemán o italiano.

The service is nice. The ambience is very good, there is enough space and it is not loud. Unfortunately the food came much too quickly and the truffle pasta was very oily, so it wasn't worth the price. In general the restaurant is good.

We have went there with friends for drinks. Once they have brought the drinks they wanted us to order a dinner. We told them we just wanted to have drinks that moment they become very rude and told us that we need to leave in 10 min if we are not getting something to eat. They should have been told this before seated us and they should have been communicate this in a good manner!!!

Let me explain my rating. We've been going to the place for many years. Granted, every year, the group gets bigger and bigger. The owner knows us and knows when we come, especially when the conference is in town to hire additional help. This year, we booked the whole restaurant, which means the group was bigger than ever. Only 2 people working for over 65 people. We had to start pouring the wine ourselves for everyone. The famous Parmesan Pasta wasn't given to everyone who asked, and due to all the chaos,people started to leave without finishing the night.

Wir hatten für 6 Personen um 18:30 reserviert und hatten 2 Geburtstage zu feiern. Es sollte ein netter,entspannter Abend in guter Atmosphäre, mit gutem Essen werden. Wir bekamen einen Tisch Mittig im aussen Bereich, mit der Info, dass wir um 20 Uhr Fertig sein müssten und Sie drinnen eine geschlossene Gesellschaft haben. Verwundert sagten wir, dass dies nicht bekannt war und wir Geburtstage feiern würden. Sie würden sicherstellen, dass wir eine tolle Zeit verbringen würden. Nach 1 Stunde waren wir mit Vor- und Hauptspeise durch. Bei der Bezahlung, ohne Trinkgeld und unserer Begründung, dass das Essen gut war, wir aber nicht eine Nahrungsaufnahme in hektischer, lauter, ungemütlicher Atmosphäre geplant hatten, wollte man noch diskutieren. Sie seien nicht hektisch sondern halt schnell. Ich ärgere mich noch heute, dass wir nicht direkt gegangen sind.

Great food at humane prices in a relaxed atmosphere. I thought it was really good.

The lasanage was burnt, had a huge layer of flour mush in it and didn't taste particularly good. And that for just under €40. The service didn't serve us well, we sat for 1.5 hours after eating where we didn't get anything to drink and at the end we asked to pay several times. It's a shame about the place. There could also be sensible innkeepers here. Unfortunately, one star is still too many.

Location OK, nice staff. The food is tasty, but the portions are so small that I took the liberty of asking for a second helping. Was ignored, 9 people had tagliatelle from the cheese wheel with side dishes. Nobody was full, the neighboring table who saw my portion handed me their bread basket. Totally overpriced at €25.00 and didn't receive an invoice even when I asked. The total amount was only shown on a cell phone and no menu was provided to us. This was the last visit for us.

If you go here if you are hungry, it is advisable to order a starter and dessert. But then you quickly reach €50-60 per person plus drinks. One of our group had extremely little on his plate. The waitress was asked about this, but unfortunately there was no response. Our impression was: "Oh, they're just a few tourists, they won't be coming back anyway. Easy money." When we went out, we saw significantly larger portions of the same dish on other plates. The taste of the food was okay.

We got the tip from a friend who visited the restaurant the day before and highly recommended it to us. We weren't disappointed, nice atmosphere and very tasty food!

Food took +45 min to prepare(bolognese). Then a kids portion was served which wasn’t ordered. Took another 10min for right order to arrive. Taste was mediocre.

Anyone who has ever been to a trattoria in Italy will feel like they are there. Very nice and courteous staff. First-class original Italian cuisine. Top wines. We had the antipasti, the vitello and the pasta with truffles. If you expect prices like those in the pizzeria on the corner, you don't expect the quality you get here, sorry

Nice old restaurant and the food was beautiful

We were spontaneous guests on a Saturday evening at the beginning of March 2024 in this beautiful trattoria right on the Großneumarkt in Hamburg's Neustadt and are happy to give it 5 stars! Italian joie de vivre from the entire team, wonderful Wilhelminian style atmosphere with cozy, close seating and high-priced but high-quality and authentic food. Certainly not a cheap "pizzeria around the corner" and the portions are sometimes manageable, but it's in the middle of Hamburg... ;-) The patron didn't know us yet, but we almost felt like regulars and would love to come back with a larger group! PS: The open Primitivo is delicious and the amount of truffles on the pasta was good. The chocolate with the espresso was a hit. Thanks.

Nice restaurant, unfortunately the wrong hospitality. We had several dishes: Lasagna: unfortunately burnt, but at least expensive Ravioli: very little, but expensive and also ordered with sage and received with nutmeg. Also (because forgotten) brought to the table after almost finishing the meal. Thanks to the hospitality. Linguine with porcini mushrooms: very tasty, unfortunately more of an appetizer, but at least not cheap. Thank you Enzo for the lovely evening. PS: We didn't want to go out for a cheap meal, we wanted above all good quality, to feel good and to start the evening full.

We had a truly magical evening with delicious food and fabulous service in an authentic Italian atmosphere. We will definitely come back next time we visit Hamburg.
