We were there for the first time today. The ambience was too narrow, too bright and too loud for us personally, but that's probably in the eye of the beholder, but it was still nicely decorated in terms of style. We had pre-booked, but still had to wait a while, but since it was Saturday, that was understandable and bearable. The employee who welcomed us was super friendly and nice. The service, however, seemed a bit distracted. The food took quite a long time to arrive, probably considering the day of the week. But the food was all the better, I've never felt like I was eating a pizza so healthily, you could taste it and notice that the pizza was freshly prepared and the chefs know their craft. Instead of cheap pizza cheese, there was high quality mozzarella cheese on the pizza, something I've never experienced before. As promised, my companion's carbonara was also according to Italian tradition, perfectly seasoned and extremely tasty. In summary: If you just go for the food and don't really need a quiet ambience, this restaurant is an absolute top choice.

We have been guests there for many years, nice staff and authentic, original Italian cuisine, with a beautiful outdoor terrace where you can sit comfortably in the summer. The home-baked bread is amazing and is even free. There is absolutely nothing to complain about and every now and then a celebrity shows up. Everything is on the ground floor so barrier-free and the toilets are always super clean.

Inside a mall is a good option for quality food and super fast service. I are the pasta Al pesto and my friend the vegan salad both fresh and delicious.

Hello, I reserved a table last week and pointed out that I had a voucher for 60 euros. Today we want to redeem the voucher and the service man pointed out that I have a voucher. The boss pointed out to us that the voucher is no longer valid. It is only valid for 6 months. It was purchased on December 16th, 2023. No more buying vouchers, just a rip off. We paid 55 euros for the meal. Never again

Great ambience. Clean, fast and friendly service. All the employees are real Italians. Pappardelle with meat was ordered. First of all, fresh bread with olive oil. The store is always full. Wait in line for a maximum of 10 minutes and then you will get a table. Strong recommendation!

Service terrible! It wasn't full. Waited a very long time, pizza came faster than the drinks! When the pizza came, I mentioned it, the waiter immediately grabbed the plates of pizza and took everything away with the words: "You don't like it." So, bon appetit!

We ended up there by chance while strolling. Ambience a bit noisy as it is well attended. Service was definitely tried, but understaffed and therefore everything felt like it took longer. BUT the spaghetti more than made up for it: al dente, perfectly seasoned, large portion and extremely tasty. Clear recommendation for the pasta there. Next time we'll test the pizza and report back ;-)

Was here for lunch. The taste and service were great, but the amount of gnocchi was a bit small, more like a Bambini plate. I would have been full from the pizza at the next table, but not really from the pasta I had.

We've eaten here a few times and it's very tasty, whether it's pizza or pasta. However, unfortunately the service is no longer that good, because it happened a few times that guests who came after us were already given the menu and drinks straight away and we hadn't even gotten the menu yet. That's how it was this time too, the waitress already had the menus in her hand for us when a few young girls asked for a table and as soon as they were seated they already had the cards in their hands! The whole time he was scurrying here and there and we sat there, still waiting. Finally we left and ate at the Vietnamese restaurant upstairs. I don't think that's possible, just because a few young girls come in you won't be served and so we won't go there again, despite the good food.

The taste of the food was great. You can tell that good ingredients are used here (the dough in particular was really good). The food tastes as good as it looks in the pictures. The only point of criticism about the food was the vegan pizza. Here the missing cheese felt like it was replaced 1:1 with more sauce, which made it a bit soggy. Maybe in the future less sauce, or one with less moisture, or a vegan mozzarella. Everything would be better. Unfortunately, the overall impression was greatly weakened by the service. We were in a hurry and so ordered for a specific time, which was approved by the waiter. In the end our food came 20 minutes later than promised, which meant we didn't have enough time to eat. When we asked for the bill during the meal, the waiter said "Already?" Yes, now, we were in a hurry and it was not without reason that we asked several times whether our food was coming soon. Oh well. One could also have said directly that the time is unrealistic or at least very tight. Then we would have eaten somewhere else. So that was quite annoying. The ambience is just like you would expect in a mall: Very packed, loud and bright. But it's nicely decorated. Conclusion: There could be 5 stars here, and the many good reviews are certainly authentic, but in our case it was only enough for 3 stars.

We got a really nice table for three people on a Tuesday evening and were warmly welcomed and served. The staff is very friendly, attentive and really quick. The food tasted very good. We would love to come back again :)

The food is average and the service provided is absolutely disappointing. The provider also tries to have bad reviews about a lawyer removed, which says a lot about the owner and their ability to take criticism.

We wanted to have lunch there...the menus were thrown at us without a good day or hello... After looking at the menu we were ignored... no question as to whether we would like something to drink... then we got up and left... I'm sure no one will see us there again... Then there are the other Italians on Ritterstrasse (super friendly and delicious pizza and pasta)

For me, this was the best pizza I've ever eaten in Hamburg! Delicious! In addition, there is courteous, polite and extremely friendly service. People are happy to tip generously and will be happy to come back.

Absolute impudence that such a restaurant is allowed to complain. The food was just okay, the portion was tiny and the service was an absolute disaster. You can get over the fact that the food came before the drinks, but the fact that the plates are cleared away even though you're still eating and the service staff is absolutely rude and unfriendly is probably a complete disgrace. As a fully trained hotel specialist, I can say that I clearly learned things differently, so I would prefer 5 minus stars. It's best to go somewhere else!!!

You wouldn't expect such a good Italian in a shopping center. Pizzas are prepared quickly within sight. It's great to watch because someone knows their craft. Taste was great. Gladly again.

We ordered take out. Three pizzas and three pasta dishes. One pizza came without the parmesan that was ordered additionally. The size of the pasta portions was way too small. For 15,40€ (carbonara) I would have expected double the amount of what we got. The Pasta Aglio Olio e Peperoncino was fairly spicy, the portion was the same as the carbonara and the parmesan was forgotten (additionally ordered & payed). Apart from that the food tasted very good and arrived extremely quick, just quite disappointing concerning additional orders and the portion sizes of the pasta.

There were three of us and everyone loved the food. There was pizza in each case and the crust was nice and airy and the base was very thin. The topping, for me ham and mushrooms, was also good. The service was nice, but didn't ask us if we wanted to order anything after our meal. The plates had already been cleared away, even though not everyone had eaten. This behavior didn't go down well with us. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and therefore it is usually a bit louder. We didn't find it bothersome.

Beste Pizza in Hamburg! 60 seconds to Napoli sind ein Witz dagegen! Geht zu Franco nach Wandsbek! Tolle Pizzen mit knusprig luftigen Rand und tollen Belägen. Ich hatte dort die pilante calabrische Streichsalami Nduja kennenlernen dürfen. Ein Gedicht! Pizza braucht nix weiter als erstklassige Zutaten. Und die gibt es hier! Toller 48 Std gegangener Pizzahefeteig, kräftige und üppige Tomatensauce, dazu ein paar Kleckse Nduja und frische Burrata! Das wird meine neue Lieblingspizza! Leider sind die Getränke recht teuer. Die Pizzen sind die Preise wert. Und: Mir ist tatsächlich aufgefallen, die Gäste grinsen tatsächlich voller Vorfreude, wenn ihnen die Pizza vor der Nase serviert wird. Sie sehen schon großartig aus und man will nur noch reinbeißen! 😍

The restaurant is located in the EKZ Quarree. The interior is reminiscent of a bistro. It is very clean and tidy. The service staff is very friendly and quick. The food was good to very good. The bruschetta was super tasty and reasonably priced. The lasagne was also tasty, but the portion was a bit too small for the price.

I was there today and the first thing that surprised me was how friendly the waiter was, who immediately brought me the menu. I ordered within maybe two minutes, and after about 5 to 10 minutes the pizza arrived. I was surprised at how good it tasted – top quality! I will come here more often.

Pizza is not at all the best in Hamburg.... and it is too expensive for how it presented itself today. The dough on our 2 pizzas was excellent. Friendly staff, super quick pizza. But the rest seemed to have been done on a super-saving basis and without love!!! The "pizza with 5 cheeses and walnuts" looked like this: with a single strange layer of melted cheese and then with 5-6 small pieces of walnuts on one side - almost like a rubber slipper that all melted cheese... not even a whiff of oregano dry on top or a few leaves of fresh basil, meh.... What are the 5 cheeses in the title - God knows... The "raw and parmesan pizza" had very little ham - just 4 very thin slices - very transparent, very spread out and straight on top of a mountain of rocket. Come on with this rocket!... and its price is too high for what it looks like!!! Money wasted here today. It was our 4th attempt, that's it - we here for the pizza will never return.

Even after the renovation, it is still too small and always very full, especially at peak times, which also speaks for the popularity of the restaurant/bistro. All price ranges are served, from quick and cheap (pizza) to upscale daily menu (e.g. veal schnitzel in white wine). We have never been disappointed in terms of taste!!!!! Despite the abundance of customers, the staff is always nice and attentive.

The four of us were in Hamburg for the first time today. We come from Bremen and I have to say this was one of the best pizzas I've eaten.

Well, if you have to wait 50 minutes for your food to be brought to you, that's questionable. I also don't accept the justification that a large take-out order came in shortly beforehand: customers/guests present always have priority. The food was good, the atmosphere was open and modern.

Wir essen regelmäßig bei da Franco, da uns das Essen immer sehr geschmeckt hat. Heute wollten wir einen Tisch für 2 Personen reservieren für 18.00 Uhr mussten jedoch erfahren, dass es nicht mehr möglich ist. Nur noch ab 4 Personen kann man einen Tisch vorbestellen. Ansonsten muss man warten. Da ich keine Lust habe mir 15 bis 30 Minuten die Beine in den Bauch zu stehen verzichten wir in Zukunft auf einen Besuch. Wir geben es auch in der Nachbarschaft bekannt, damit man sich nicht mehr die Mühe macht das Restaurant zu besuchen. Es gibt auch andere gute italienische Restaurants. Tschüs da Franco.

Hello everyone, my wife and I still enjoy eating at Da Franco to this day and, due to the high occupancy, we always reserve a table for two people on Saturday evenings around 6 p.m. Table reservations for two people have apparently no longer been possible for a few weeks, which is a shame. For this reason we will no longer eat there, although we have always been very satisfied with the food. From my point of view, something like this is not very customer-oriented and can scare away customers, which is what is now the case with us. You get the impression that you don't think it's necessary to treat couples (2 people) with the same respect as, for example, a family (4 people) when it comes to the possibility of making a reservation.

Moin in die Runde, meine Frau und ich sind bis zum heutigen Tag gerne zum Essen zu Da Franco gegangen und haben auf Grund der hohen Auslastung Samstagabends so 18:00 immer einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert. Tischreservierungen für 2 Personen sind seit anscheinend ein paar Wochen nicht mehr möglich, das ist Schade. Wir werden aus diesem Grund dort erstmal nicht mehr zum Essen gehen obwohl wir bis jetzt mit den Speisen immer sehr zufrieden waren. Aus meiner Sicht ist so etwas nicht sehr Kunden orientiert und kann Kunden vergraulen so das jetzt bei uns der Fall ist. Man bekommt den Eindruck das man es nicht für nötigt hält Paare ( 2 Personen ) genau so Respektvoll zu behandeln wie z.B. eine Familie ( 4 Personen ) was die Möglichkeit der Reservierung angeht.

Mit Abstand der beste Italiener in Wandsbek. Die Pizza ist ausgezeichnet, die Pasta ist gut, wenn auch leider nicht frisch gemacht. Immer super Service. Einzig die Getränkepreise sind inzwischen recht hoch und es gibt leider nur Pepsi, keine Coca-Cola. Am besten ist es im Sommer wenn man draußen sitzen kann. 😎
