1 star deducted because (except for the places on the wall under the bird cages) sitting is a bit uncomfortable.

Great concept. Mostly small portions for €5.90! 2 to 3 servings really fill you up. The dishes are varied and delicious. 7 portions really filled us up for two.

Waited outside for 20 minutes and the waitress walked past us twice... not a look, no hello, when she started making candles instead. At 5 p.m. in the afternoon instead of serving us in an almost empty restaurant, we left. We always thought the food was good, but we have rarely experienced it so unfriendly here.

Had dinner here recently, and I've got mixed feelings. Food was pretty good, so 4 stars for that. Service, on the other hand, was a disaster – 1 star. The toilets were filthy. The food tasted nice, but the staff was downright rude. One server refused to pour a large draft beer even when we offered to pay for two small ones. Didn't even bother to ask if we liked the food. We wrote our names on the orders to make things easy, but instead, we got yelled at for not knowing who ordered what. When we decided not to tip because of the horrible service, we got yelled at again. The food might be worth coming back for, but with service this disrespectful, they don't deserve a single penny.

A visit to Transit is an experience for lovers of Southeast Asian cuisine. The small, charming shop with outdoor seating offers an authentic transit-style dining experience. The menu offers a large selection of different small dishes for €6 each, as well as four big classics such as Pad Thai and three desserts. The dishes do not contain the addition of glutamate. Everything I tried was very good and felt authentic.

Disappointing, not like I remember from 10 years ago. Duck dishes dry and tasted and smelled almost past its used by date. Prawn with wasabe was ok. Tap Bier poor quality. Location is nice though on a relatively quiet street. Wouldn't recommend as so many better options around.

Simply delicious, we have always been in Mitte and today in F-Hain, just very, very good food.

The shop at Ostkreuz has been my favorite restaurant in Berlin for years. I've been to the branch on Rosenthalerplatz several times because I live nearby. Unfortunately the quality there is worlds worse. It is an absolute mystery to me how identical dishes can taste so different.

Lovely Thai place with quick and friendly service. I think I there could be a bigger choice of vegan dishes but I was happy to find something I enjoyed. Forgot to take pictures though 😅

Good portion sizes and lots of variety for Thai/Asian tapas. While each of the tapas are quite affordably priced, things tend to add up when you excitedly order a lot of things you want to try. I didn't take too many pictures unfortunately but I really liked the place and the food.

Very interesting concept and modern decor. The shrimp in wasabi mayo sauce are particularly recommended. I would say between 2-3 tapas per person plus a side dish are recommended to fill you up.

The concept (Asian tapas) is quite nice, and the furnishings and atmosphere are also fine. The taste of the food was no more than average and the service was unfortunately really bad. We had to wait over 45 minutes between orders, which makes you lose your desire for tapas. In addition, they didn't even give me a pen to write down the dishes they wanted, so I dug out my own. According to my companion, the service is often overwhelmed and slow. A pity.

Simple great cuisine, authentic and incredibly tasty

It was a nice restaurant. Good atmosphere and the food quality and taste was also good. There were a lots of small portion food to order and that's the best part for someone who like tasting different stuff. We've ordered a lot of stuff but the ribs were the best one in my opinion.

I got a nasty case of food poisoning on my last visit. Most likely it was because of the calamari that only I ate. Nothing happened to everyone else. When I called, all I got was an “OK, sorry”. The store is definitely not recommended.

We've been there several times. This time, however, was the last time. It smelled very bad. Someone probably saved money on the ventilation/extractor hood... it wasn't turned on. When we asked to take a breather, the waitress replied that it wasn't possible because she was sick and would then freeze and she didn't want that (she was wearing a super thin top). Oh well. I had ordered the food I ordered many times before. This time the employees obviously thought, oh we can make a little chilli or it was prepared in a pot that wasn't properly cleaned of the leftovers🤷‍♀️... (My dish is usually not spicy...) Super unfriendly staff! And spicy information wasn't correct for someone who can't eat anything spicy, it was really a pain in the throat...

One of the more reliable places to order food. Quality is consistent. Prices have skyrocketed though. What used to be EUR 3.90 per dish is now EUR 6.50 on Wolt for the same size.

Das Konzept kann schon ein Erlebnis sein, man wählt verschiedene kleine Gerichte zum Teilen aus und kann somit auch unterschiedliches ausprobieren. Preislich ist das hoch angesiedelt, nicht alle Gerichte hauen einen um. Ist aber zu empfehlen, wenn man es noch nie probiert hat

An absolute gem. Always a twist on tapas style asian fusion. It’s a beautiful Berlin kiez spot, inside and outside the atmosphere is great. The sauce with “my favorite duck” and the “crunchy stripes” is just incredible.

I will not call it a Thai restaurant alone, as most Asian restaurants are fusion only. So does this so infact name is quite appropriate I think. Overall food was good, price and quantity match (inflation counted) on for that you might need to order bit more. Drinks are good. Overall 4

Wir verbrachten mit 14 Personen unseren Auftakt in diesem Lokal. Tipp: bestellt 2-3 Speisen. Die Portionen sind "klein". So kann man vieles probieren. Und unbedingt die hauseigenen Drinks (ohne Alkohol) probieren!

Das Essen war einfach nicht wirklich gut. Das Lachs Sashimi wurde Dosenmais und Zwiebeln und Süßkartoffeln getoppt…!? Es war schon mal besser fort.

Komische Reservierungspolitik, eigentlich kann man nicht für draußen reservieren, aber genau in dem Moment, in dem wir uns setzen wollten, wurde genau dieser Tisch angeblich telefonisch reserviert. Man sollte schon einheitlich sein in seiner Reservierungspolitik.

Immer wieder lecker! Man wird schnell bedient, muss auf einem Block das gewünschte Essen markieren und abgeben. Nach kurzer Zeit bekommt man schon das essen. Das Vegetarische/Vegane essen ist sehr lecker. Bin immer wieder gerne da.

I'm sad I have to write this, as I used to really like this place. I get you have to adjust prices over time and even I think it's a little too much, from my consumer pov, it would be okay. Sadly the food is way below what it used to be. I didn't even finish my 3 shrimp for 5,50. Super dry and basically no taste... The rice tastes and feels like it has been cooked too long, but maybe that's a personal taste, who knows. I gave it another try after being really disappointed for the first time, thinking they had a bad day, sadly nothing changed. Plus the service the second time was quite busy, with her phone, which kinda made the whole experience worse.

Ich liebe diese Art von Restaurants. Man kann sich mit kleinen Portionen komplett durchprobieren und dazu ist einfach alles super lecker! Klare Empfehlung vor allem auch die hausgemachten Limos ein Gedicht!

Miła obsługa, aczkolwiek nie mieli czasu , żeby zapytać czy wszystko jest w porządku , czy czegoś potrzeba, zero zainteresowania . Co do jedzenia, na 9 dań, które zamówiliśmy, tylko jedno jest godne polecenia wetetarianskie rollsy , reszta bez smaku . W lokalu jest zbyt mało miejsca , na tyle osób, trzeba mówić Bardzo głośno żeby usłyszeć cokolwiek .

A German friend recommended this place to us and we really liked it. It was a weekday but very busy but we were served rather quickly. With 4 adults and one 2 year old we had several dishes all at 5,50/each, except the rice that was 1,50/small bowl. We had Gado Gado, Forever Young, Jasmin spare ribs, smoky sate, bali baby, ping pong, harvest gold. Excellent!

Essen war leider nur laufwarm und teilweise kalt. Ich hatte es anders in Erinnerung! Schade...

Nur wenige Meter vom S-Bahnhof Ostkreuz entfernt, liegt das Transit zwar am östlichen Rand von Friedrichshain aber mitten im Partyviertel. Die asiatischen Gerichte sind großartig und kommen im Tapas Format. Da kann man sich gut durchprobieren. Obwohl die Preise im Laufe eines Jahres ordentlich angezogen haben, von 3,90€ auf aktuell 5,50€, lohnt sich der Besuch in jedem Fall. Das Transit eignet sich ideal für ein leichtes Mittagessen, als Start für eine Kneipentour in Friedrichshain oder um danach auf dem benachbarten Annemirl-Bauer-Platz im Grass zu chillen und sich ein Bierchen von den vielen Spätis in der Gegend zu gönnen.

We go to transit when we really crave some Asian flavours, here we are satisfied. Many different small portions, all tasty and well made. We like it, we like it a lot and we will keep coming back. Nice service and also the restaurant itself looks cool. Highly recommended

Amazing atmosphere of comfort and trend. Great place to visit with friends and enjoy food and drinks. Food comes in small Bowles so you can try several dishes and not overeat. A wide control selection. Good and fast service.

Great concept. Can recommend for groups to come here and share all the delicious items from the menu. Service could be a bit friendlier and more helpful but is still very nice. Dishes could be marked better so one knows what it is and who ordered.

Fusionsküche par Excellence, für mich einer meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Berlin und immer einen Besuch wert.

Asiatische "Tapas" ausgesprochen leckere fantasievolle Kreationen in angenehmer Umgebung.

Leckeres Essen, seit Jahren ... wir lieben diese kleinen Schälchen, am Ende ist man immer satt satt satt :) Die Chili als "scharf" ist zu berücksichtigen;)

Das Transit gibt es schon seit Jahren in Mitte aber, dass es auch eine Filiale am Ostkreuz gibt, wusste ich lange Zeit nicht. Die Filiale am Ostkreuz ist nicht so groß und die Tische sind recht eng aneinander gestellt aber es ist dennoch nett eingerichtet. Man sitzt auf Hockern ohne Rückenlehne, also wenn man hier gemütlich sitzen möchte, ist man fehl am Platz. Auch bekommt man Freitag abends nur einen Tisch für 1,5 Std. Danach muss man den Tisch freigeben. Für mich persönlich kein großen Problem, aber wenn man vor allem in einer etwas größeren Runde etwas länger essen und trinken möchte, ist das keine Option. Geschmacklich sind die kleinen „Tapas“ lecker und es ist immer wieder schön viele verschiedene Gerichte probieren zu können. Wenn man satt werden möchte, sollte man schon ca. 2-4 kleine Tapas bestellen, je nach dem wie viel Hunger man mitbringt.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Es war mal was anderes und neues für uns. Die Rippchen oder Hühnchen in Erdnusssoße waren total lecker. Der Service war in Ordnung und hinterher. Preislich ist es ok. Es kommt defintiv auf die Menge an.

Wir waren an einem frühen Sonntagabend zu viert im Transit und haben insgesamt 12 kleine Gerichte bestellt. Essen und Cocktails waren sehr lecker. Vor allem am Wochenende besser reservieren oder früh Essen gehen.

Lecker asiatische Tapas..immer gut voll, was für die Qualität spricht, aber dann wird es auch ganz schnell eng.

Eigentlich alles gut, aber das essen kam 1,5 Stunden nach Bestellung etwas spät.

Wir mögen das Transit! Viel zu selten sind wir hier. Natürlich haben wir die Preisanpassung auch registriert. Aber um den Vor-Rezessionist*Innen zu wiedersprechen: das ist normal und auch OK! Die Preise sind nun Mal überall explodiert, und wer hier von „Frechheit“ schreibt, der soll weiter von € 3,50 träumen… Die Portionsgröße ist absolut dem Preis-wert. Vor 14 Tagen war ein junger Mann im Service. Er brachte uns heißes Essen, im Laden waren 5 Tische besetzt. Aber er nahm nie Blickkontakt auf – wir hätten gerne nachbestellt. Da war dann die Lust am ziemlich Ende. Trotzdem entschieden wir uns für heute einen Tisch zu reservieren. Heute war eine junge Frau im Service, und unser Wunschtisch war nicht reserviert. Schade, dass es nicht geklappt hat. Wir saßen woanders, waren 9 und es waren über die 2 Stunden durchschnittlich 4 weitere Tische besetzt. Das Essen wurde vor den Getränken serviert. Es sei ein neuer Barmann, der braucht Zeit, wurde sich entschuldigt. Das Essen war lecker, auch wenn es nicht immer heiß war. Grund, die junge Frau im Service (übrigens die Enkelin der Chefin), war überlastet. Das Essen stand am Pass und wurde dort rasch kalt. Auch fehlte zwischendurch der Augenkontakt zum Nachbestellen. Für die Kinder fragten wir nach einer Phó, und man teilte uns mit, „wir sind ein Thairestaurant. Phó ist Vietnamesisch“. Verstanden, Danke für den Hinweis. Achso, in der Karte steht, sie kochen süd-ost-asiatisch. Mmmmh. Und Stäbchen sind in der Thailändischen Küche nicht üblich. Macht nichts, wenn es sich wiederspricht! Es sei vollständigkeitshalber erwähnt. Fazit: es ist wohl im Moment Glückssache guten Service und heißes Essen zu bekommen. Es war schon mal anders. Und es war noch nicht mal voll! Es wäre schade, wenn das Transit Friedrichshain dadurch Gäste verliert…! Von uns bekommt ihr noch einmal eine Chance! Darum 3 Sterne. ขอบคุณ

Ich mag das Konzept mit den kleinen Schälchen. Man kann so einiges ausprobieren und entdecken. Das Essen vor Ort war sehr lecker und es ging sehr schnell.

Fantastisches essen, nette Kellner, schönes Ambiente. 6/5 Alles wird in sehr kleinen Portionen serviert, so dass man schön viel probieren kann. Auf Sättigungsbeilagen (Reis, Salat,..) wird ebenfalls verzichtet. Absolutes Muss, wenn man in der Gegend ist.

Their food is decent, having quite a lot of options, but omg it got soo expensive! The same pad thai that I used to buy a year ago at about 10-11€, it is now 15€! For a small appetizer, I used to pay 4,50, now it is 5.90€. A single order for 2 people, let’s say with delivery, can get to at least 50€! Kinda outrageous.

Hi, I would like to share that the manager of the F-shain restaurant had a very unrespectful and unfriendly behaviour with me at the phone. The lady hung me up the phone after telling me I could not understand german or English. In fact it was just way too noisy in the back ! I called her back to tell her that I did not really like that attitude, she should respect the client much more at the phone. And she made me cancel my 16 people booking for the day after. This is even worse !!! I really want to report this because I have never been treated like this in a restaurant. It is a total shame for that restaurant to have such a bad and rude manager !!!! I will definitly boycott this place as much as I can from now on.

Really tasty tapas and nice environment

Was recommended to me by friends and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We ordered several of the small dishes and they were all very tasty. I think they are around 5.5 EUR each which was fair for most of the dishes. It did mean we could try a number of dishes and I cannot say there was anything I didn't like. We were told we only had the table for 1.5 hours which is not ideal and was not highlighted when we called to book, I also saw empty tables throughout the evening so certainly no need for it, given we spent a lot of money, but to be fair they never actually pushed that 'rule' when the time came. Thankfully as we were nowhere near finished and other tables were there longer than us. Also it was hard enough to get someone's attention to order drinks throughout the night so if you implement a short table allocation time the service needs to be better.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant, sehr zu empfehlen . Nicht auf das Personal achten . Nicht über bewerten . Kaum Parkplätze vorhanden . Preise höher aber gut wenn's schmeckt. Immer wieder gerne.
