We ordered a large cream puff to share, and it tasted great 👍🏼. The coffee ☕️ (I had decaf) wasn't that good; I've had better. It also tasted like instant coffee, so I wish they had said it wasn't freshly brewed, but just plain. So, it gets fewer points.

Turkey skewer for €29.50 with baked potato. Tomato salad for €18.70? Why?

Located directly on the city harbor, by the promenade. Dinner with live music. Large covered beer garden. Location and service beyond closing hours. Very friendly staff.

Food was very good – traditional, straightforward, not too spicy, just as expected. We also tried the Windbeutel (hope I got the name right) and really enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful: very warm, welcoming, and even spoke English, which they didn’t have to. It really made our visit one of the highlights of the day. The place itself was cozy and quiet, and the toilets and amenities were very clean. Highly recommended!

The service was friendly and okay. Two out of three meals were unfortunately mediocre. The chicken strips with the salad were very greasy and marbled. The fries were unfortunately bland.

After a lovely boat trip, a traditional dinner of yeast pancakes with plum jam in a green beach setting is a perfect day. The fact that we were even billed after we asked for it only underscores the excellent reputation this restaurant enjoys.

I liked the atmosphere, you sit in the garden under the trees. Solyanka was tasteless and oversalted. Homemade beer is tasteless and reminds me of a regular pilsner from the store. The prices for the main dishes are high. We will most likely not return to this place.

A nice place in the port, good to relax on a sunny day in the shade and coolness. The food was tasteless: the solyanka soup was terribly oversalted, and the strudel was tiny, with a sugary chocolate sauce. The prices are at least 1.5 times higher. The waiters looked tired.

The menu reads better than it tastes. Overall, in my opinion, it's more of a tourist spot than a good place to eat. We were disappointed and can't recommend it.

Stopped in after a boat trip. Friendly service, who immediately brought us a bowl of water for the dog. Absolutely delicious food; the smoked pork in a pastry crust was a real hit.

A recommendation! Delicious, very delicious food and drinks, reasonable prices, very attentive staff, centrally located, yet quiet. Menu and cash accepted. Dogs are not allowed. Parking is available nearby, but within easy walking distance. And, a big compliment to Lübbenau: A parking lot a little further away (15-minute walk) offers free parking initially (I think for an hour), then paid parking. I find that very, very hospitable!).

Highly recommended! The food is delicious and homemade (we had the baked potato with chicken and smoked pork with fried potatoes). The outdoor seating is lovely and shady, and the garden is lovingly landscaped. The service was very friendly, despite the crowds of tourists. And it's especially worth mentioning that our dog was given a bowl of water and even a treat (!) 🐶!

A meager portion for a substantial price. The red soda seems quite thin to me, but it's a heavy color. Diluted and dyed? We actually only went there for the giant cream puffs, but we were kind of disappointed. The smoking ban isn't being enforced either... "In Brandenburg, there is a smoking ban in restaurants and their outdoor areas if they are considered completely enclosed spaces. This means that smoking is prohibited in all restaurants, including outdoor areas, if they are enclosed by walls, roofs, or similar and are therefore not considered completely open..." So, smoking is prohibited in the covered area.

Unfortunately, the food is very overpriced, but otherwise it's a great place. Very friendly staff.

We've been here several times. A historic inn with good, home-style food. The portions are more than sufficient. The giant cream puffs are a real highlight. But the main courses are also delicious. Our recommendation for the large harbor.

To the Green Beach of the Spree – this isn't an advertisement, this is a love letter to the Spreewald! We arrived by bike, looked for pickles, and what can I say? The Spreewald cyclist tittered like it had just come out of a canister from the Spree God himself. The gherkin – crispy like a Berliner, and the tomato salad… so fresh, you almost expected it to say "Hello." The fries? Golden brown, crispy, cheeky on the outside, tender on the inside – like a real Berliner. And the staff? So friendly, they could have opened a bar in heaven. Despite the hustle and bustle, we got to our spot in no time – and I mean, with the location right on the water, among dragonflies and vacationers, you'd think you'd have to reserve a boat in advance. But no: voila, a seat is free, the beer is cold, and the heart is warm. Price-wise? More than fair. Almost a bargain by Berlin standards. And even more so by tourist standards. Conclusion: If you don't come here, you don't deserve the Spreewald. A clear 5 stars and a warm handshake for the kitchen and service. This is Berlin meets Spreewald – and everyone goes home happy.

We visited as a couple last night and were immediately served excellently. Friendly waiters and delicious food. And the prices are reasonable for the location. A visit that was well worth it. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Lübbenau.

We were there with a larger group and had to take the pre-ordered food, even though the menu was much better! The food was okay, but unfortunately, any extras (salad dressing or a bit more sauerkraut) also cost extra! Terrible value for money! The service was unfortunately very unfriendly, with no smiles and even loud, annoyed employees. We won't be going back!

We were there with a group. At first they wanted to spread us out over four individual tables, which seemed very strange. The quality of the food varied, and the portions were sometimes a bit small even for the average eater. Therefore the price-performance ratio is OK, but not outstanding. The fried cucumbers are recommended. Service was also OK, but not particularly attentive. Therefore, overall the visit fell short of expectations.

We were here twice. Ate 4 different dishes that were really excellent. The waiter is very quick, you don't have to wait for your order. The beer garden is great, with a bit of a train station feel inside, that's why 4 stars for it. All in all great, we'll be back.

We arrived there as a large group and were not allowed to push tables together (outside) to sit at the table together. It was forbidden by management. The price-performance ratio of the food was not good. It was brought to the table unusually quickly and could only have been warmed up. No baked potato is soft after 5-10 minutes. An extra request for asparagus cost extra, but the kitchen still couldn't manage it.

My wife and I ate here on May 3rd, 2025. The dishes came quickly and were delicious. For dessert there was a large cream puff with cherries. The garlic schnapps is worth an experience. 2 days later we were only there for beer and a shot. The liqueur made from Spreewald herbs is delicious. Finally, another garlic schnapps. The staff is friendly and quick. The restaurant has many outdoor and indoor spaces

Terrible host, no possibility of converting a small table into a large one, despite an empty terrace and an unfriendly "boss"

/A restaurant with tradition (see picture gallery in both guest rooms). For me a journey into the past. As an apprentice waiter at HO Gaststätten Cottbus, I was “allowed” to work here for four weeks in the early 80s. Back then it was a place for mass catering. Today a rustic restaurant with a large terrace. The four of us got a place around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. Fast, friendly service. Varied offerings on the food and drink menu. The food was tasty: schnitzel with asparagus, Spreewald quark, chicken slices. Unfortunately, we weren't hungry enough for a starter or dessert. I hope that the kitchen and service team will always be able to cope with the location-related challenges. All the best to that. Many satisfied guests. I (we) would be happy to come back. 😃 Addendum from April 27th / A second visit. Still excited. Crazy: Chili pickles baked in batter. You have to try it. 😆 And finally a homemade garlic schnapps. 🫣🥴

Not recommended. A “fruit cup” with 3 pieces of canned “fruit” and a splash of sauce on the cream for €9.60. Totally overpriced and a tourist rip off. We didn't try hot food because we didn't like the selection on the menu. The waitress spoke poor German and simply ignored a special request. The only one star is that she immediately brought the dog a water bowl and treats.

I had lunch with my wife on Easter Monday on the green beach on the Spree. My wife just wanted a schnitzel with a side dish. Got a schnitzel, about 100 gr., and fried potatoes without anything for the price of €28. I just say vehemently, stay away from such gastronomy. Not recommended. There was no receipt either.

We were guests with 4 people and cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. The seasoned meat was of such poor quality, hardly edible and probably warmed up from a can. The solyanka wasn't much better, but the cream puff was the crowning glory, inedible. We complained about this, the choux mixture was completely soggy and tasted stale, yuck and for an outrageous price of €10!!! The complaint was rejected after the service person told us that the boss had tried it herself. So 5 people then tested their taste buds on the cream puff. Out of pity for the service worker, we paid for the cream puff, otherwise she would have had it deducted from her wages

Stayed here on our way home from Poland. We felt very comfortable. Food was very tasty and service was super nice. Not much going on outside of the season but everything was fine 👌

We had dinner here today. We received a very friendly welcome and our little dog was greeted with a bowl of water and a small bag of treats before we could even order something to drink. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful, we were stuffed. A really nice restaurant, we recommend it and will definitely come back. Family joke

The year before last we had dinner there for my husband's birthday during a Spreewald vacation in March. Accompanied by a dear friend from Munich, who chose the cucumber goulash here (I'll get to why that's so important!). We were also very satisfied with the food, service and the different shandy - raspberry and cucumber shandy (yes, they really exist!)! The location in the harbor was perfect for us after the boat trip. The outdoor terrace is also a dream in summer. Now Petra is seriously and terminally ill 😔. Various operations and treatments gave hope, unfortunately in vain 😔. Whenever we talked about this lovely short vacation, Petra's cucumber goulash was highly praised. Now the idea came to me to surprise Petra with this meal, but how would that work 🤷‍♀️. We live in the Heidekreis and Petra in Munich. My aunt encouraged me to just call the restaurant and describe the situation. And what can I say... I had a very nice phone conversation with an employee who promised to explain the situation to her boss, but of course couldn't promise anything! The very next day I received a call back and the cucumber goulash was freshly cooked for Petra and sent out. No sooner said than done! Hammer! What a lovely gesture. I would like to thank everyone involved who made this possible 🙏🏼. What a joy! We will definitely come back next time we visit Lübbenau - although unfortunately only as a couple 🥺! I can fully recommend this restaurant and am endlessly grateful for this support!

There are delicious Spreewald specialties here. If you want to try something different, this is the right place. Food was very tasty, friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. We liked it very much.

I was there for dinner with a few people. I baked Kassler in horseradish dough, ate it with fried potatoes and Spreewald cucumbers and for dessert there were 2 yeast pancakes with apple sauce. It is questionable whether you seriously have to charge €9.50 for 2 yeast pancakes with applesauce. I don't know what horseradish dough is, but I'm imagining something other than Kassler in a dough coating with a heap of horseradish on top. It's not exactly cheap in terms of price, but the food tastes good and the in-house herbal schnapps also tastes very good. The ambience is very nice inside, the toilet is clean, the staff is nice, there are also tables outside and the location at the harbor is also very good.

Had a chicken baked potato and instead of chicken it was duck.

Very high prices. You pay for the place, which is spectacular, but the food is average and there is not enough quantity on the plates. Answer: I didn't say I was there TODAY. We were there on September 5 in the afternoon.

We had Kassler with sauerkraut and potatoes, sorry dear kitchen, unfortunately the portion wasn't fair. Paid €17.90 and got a children's plate. I also had to look for the apple strudel on the plate (€7.90) with a hint of cream. You don't do that by ripping off tourists.

Even though we only stopped here briefly to have a drink, the stay was very nice and the drinks (cucumber and herbal soda on tap) can honestly be recommended. The father also seemed to like the local beer - and that has to say something! Great ambience and nice shady outdoor area.

Not recommended - apart from a comfortable seat, there's nothing to be had here. Addendum - Yes! I am sure that I ate in the “traditional inn”. However, the food did not taste traditional or skilful. The kitchen resembles a bad school cafeteria. Lapped potatoes, warmed red cabbage etc. and all for prices where you can almost expect star cuisine. Price/performance doesn't fit at all!

Delicious regional dishes. Everyone will find something for themselves. Fish with potato salad and lentils - wonderful. Quark with linseed oil and potatoes - delicious. I recommend!!

At Kaufland you could get the same meal for a fraction of the price. All the dishes we tried as a group were absolutely not worth the money. Unfortunately, family recipes come from the freezer. Absolute tourist trap. But water next door looks good ;)

Our highlight was that we got there at half past six and were very reluctantly sent away by a very rude waiter because they closed at 8 p.m. For us, that was it with this “hospitable” pub.

Potatoes with quark and linseed oil were good but overpriced. Large outdoor seating area. The waitress was friendly, but you had to wait quite a long time for your order to be taken.

An excellent location, tastefully furnished guest rooms, a cozy beer garden that impresses with its stylish flora, as well as a menu whose dishes pamper the palate with the highest quality and variety - that is the historic inn "Zum Grünen Strand der Spree". One of the few places to have salad. But it's really expensive. A plate with kind of small salad /half plate was 17€. Overpriced...I thought I would be enough eating but I almost ordered 2 salads.. The service it's ok, some people kind of ignore that I was waiting to order, but in the end those who appeared was sympathetic. The place is huuuge so many sits and you can be inside or outside..

There is no relationship between price and performance. We had the brawn with fried potatoes, which was absolutely subpar. Half-cooked, limp potatoes and 3 thin slices of brawn...all in all a cost of goods of €4 and a selling price of €18.90. The atmosphere is nice, the service is OK but the food is extremely overpriced and not recommended.

At half past nine we were rejected in many restaurants, even though they were still open and we just wanted a glass of champagne. Here, however, we were warmly welcomed and served. Great service!

A really great restaurant in the harbor of Lübbenau. I've been coming to you for years, the cucumber goulash is incredibly tasty. The service is very nice and on point. I can recommend the restaurant to everyone!

Tasty, but a little cheaper. The vanilla apple cake is highly recommended! Unfortunately, only Pepsi-Cola is served here, who likes that?!

A restaurant opposite is rated negatively as “the best ones are NOT close to the water”. This one successfully provides counter-evidence. Both the service and the food cannot be faulted. Only in the "cucumber pot" was there not enough lard for the 2 slices of bread. ;-) All in all, it is fully recommended and the true flagship in the port! It will definitely be the first choice for dinner on your next visit.

Average German cuisine, great outdoor atmosphere and nice waitrons. I’d recommend checking out a smaller place unless you want to relax outside with some drinks - in which case this is a great option. Sadly the spare rib special of the day was dry, it was paired with spicy tomato sauce and bread.

Always tried, but never again!!! We reserved a table for 20 people for our birthday. Unfortunately we had to sit at two different tables and were therefore very disappointed. When we asked if we could sit at a table, which wasn't a problem... The host/owner is very arrogant and literally gave the reason: 'Because I say so'. There is no attempt to do justice to the guest. The waiters' hands are tied. The food is nothing special. The draft beer room temperature. Therefore 0/5 stars.

Today we spontaneously went to the beer garden here for lunch. What should I capitalize? Top service, Ambience very nice And the food was very, very good It's been a long time since I ate real fried potatoes in a restaurant and not "cardboard potatoes" 😉 Thank you very much we will come back.

It was our first time there with our dog and we barely sat down. And our dog was given water and treats beforehand. We were completely satisfied.

Unfriendly reception! I had a breakdown and just wanted to quickly clean my hands and went to the inn. Then the boss came to me grumpily. I explained my situation to him and he reluctantly let me go to the toilet. Since it took me a little longer to wash, he probably thought that I must have left a really big deal and used a lot of toilet paper. But of course this was not the case! When I wanted to leave the restaurant, the boss was standing at the exit and said with a dark expression: "But that's 1€!". I gave him this euro. Not that he's making a loss because of me and will soon have to sleep under the bridge. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN!! I can only advise against stopping there. In general, I had the feeling that the tourists in this little town were completely overwhelmed.
