Super delicious food, this time for coffee. Very popular restaurant where service and ambience are also right. We would never be disappointed... I ride my bike a lot and stop there every now and then.

Cozy restaurant right on the water, we were only here on a short paddling stop. The service was a bit unfriendly because we initially only ordered drinks and didn't want to eat anything. It's a shame, unfortunately the points are deducted.

The meal “potatoes with quark” was average, I have to say. The quantity itself was appropriate, but the quark was hardly seasoned, tasted like nothing and there could have been a few more gherkins for the Spreewald. Unfortunately, payment is only possible in cash, which you don't know beforehand and so you'll get a surprise when you get there if you don't have that much cash in your pocket. When asked, there was no clear answer, but rather a few platitudes were given, saying that you had to pay 10% of the sum, etc...but this could also be added to the price. Otherwise it's a nice place, I have to say👍

Nice inn on the water, very busy, best to be there before 12 p.m. However, the prices are pretty wow for the small plate of pasta almost 8 euros oh well. A friend ate the fish platter, which was absolutely fine for the price and very tasty.

Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to eat at the Froschkönig - unfortunately it was completely full - but the innkeeper said goodbye to us (desperate) parents because our son was so hungry and there was nowhere to get anything to eat (since it was so overcrowded everywhere). As a consolation, an ice cream was given on the hand - what a lovely gesture!!! We hope it works out that we can come back and try the delicious looking and smelling food. Thank you again for this kind gesture - it is not a given in these times!!

A very cozy restaurant right on the water. After a short wait we were brought to a table, the food was ready quickly and delicious. The portions are also very sufficient. The waitresses were also friendly despite the stress. We'd love to come back.

Very, very disappointed - wouldn't even give it a ⭐️!!! We were there on Sunday July 28th. We were on a canoe trip in the Spreewald and wanted to stop here for dinner. ...we arrived there at 3:30 p.m. and even though it was open until 4 p.m. we were greeted very unfriendly and didn't even say a proper hello. When we asked if we could get something to eat, we were laughed at and said - yes, Wednesday half past 12!!! 🤐 That's not hospitality, the operators have definitely missed their job! When we asked if they could at least offer a little something to eat, they just left us standing there grinning! Half an hour before closing, turning away guests??? RUDE The inn was highly recommended to us by the boat rental company, but unfortunately it was a complete failure - we have never experienced anything like it!!! Not recommended, in our opinion!!! Ps: It's best to avoid the Frog Prince right away, because if you continue rowing along the canal to the right "towards the main Spree" there are still two options for stopping off, they know the word: hospitality!

Spent 3 nights here, owner very friendly, booked without breakfast, so I can't give any stars for the food. The room was very clean, the shower was modern, the rest was kept plain and simple, but we still really liked it. I am a smoker, have accepted the smoking ban at the facility and am outside the premises. We'll definitely come back again when we're on vacation in the Spreewald.

As a group of 8 with a good turnover, we were rudely shouted at because we allowed ourselves to fill a drinking bottle at the tap for the onward journey. There are still restaurants in the Spreewald that apparently prefer not to have guests.

Actually a nice place if you're not a paddler or cyclist, or don't speak German, or come at the wrong time (2:30 is really bad). We had ordered pike and zander fillet, apparently one of the fish was out. Only one was brought to us and sold as a small portion ("I thought they didn't eat that much"), but instead of 21.50 we were still charged 18.90 (half of the fish = 2.60 discount for half a portion).

A very nice place to stay. The food is always delicious, fresh and plentiful. For us it is always a must when visiting the Spreewald.

Very nice hidden inn. Typical Spreewald delicacies. Very friendly service. We can only recommend it. There was a delicious lollipop for the children at the end.

After our paddling tour, we ate a very tasty braised cucumber dish and drank a tasty Babben beer. Due to the high number of guests, we initially had to be patient to get a table and the further service was accordingly tight, but friendly. However, with such a rush, this is understandable and completely acceptable. We would come back next time.

Cute place and nice dishes choices. I took the Variation Froschkönig and I got to keep the little frog figurine that came with it 🐸❤️ The food was really interesting with 4 different food in the plate to go with potatoes. However the staff was a bit tense, not rude but not that welcoming either.

The black pudding was so good that I didn't have time to take a photo of the full plate :D I recommend it! Sehr lecker Grützwurst!

The Frog Prince is uniquely located, nice ambience and very friendly owners. The food was unique, the Spreewald buffet was also super good. You can also take a boat trip from Froschkönig, an experience. It's not overcrowded here, like other piers.

We read great reviews in advance and therefore hiked to Leipe. Unfortunately we were faced with closed doors as Monday and Tuesday are closed days. It would be nice if corresponding opening times could be found online.

After a bike ride we stopped at the Frog Prince for lunch. After a very friendly welcome, we took a seat in the idyllic garden. Our order was taken quickly and our drinks and food were on the table just as quickly. The food was fantastic and very tasty. Home-made food the way I want it, freshly prepared and wonderfully seasoned. The portions are plentiful and the prices are very fair. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and welcome here and would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful meal on our tour ☺️

Tasty and affordable. You can grab something to eat during a break in your trip, whether by kayak or bike.

Food wasn't our taste. The children didn't like the pasta with tomato sauce. One of the waitresses was very friendly, the other one ignored us. Many guests by the boaters. You had to wait in line. Other tables were cordoned off, but probably would have been good.

We paddled from Raddusch to Leipe. Arrived hungry and thirsty and everything was packed. The service was great and had a place for us. The food is incredibly good. The next kayak tour will definitely pass there.

Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately the staff was very unfriendly. We were there with 5 children and wanted to order ice cream sundaes. First we were ignored for more than ten minutes, then we were rudely turned away. It's a shame, but that has nothing to do with customer service.

After several rather sobering attempts in other restaurants, a real highlight. Super nice service, delicious food that fills you up and a really nicely furnished and well-kept restaurant. The food is regionally typical and appealing. We had fried herring with fried potatoes and the Spreewald plate Froschkönig with a great selection, braised cucumber, quark with linseed oil and onions, grits sausage and matjes. Perfect! Plus a bog pear, absolute recommendation.

Unfortunately on Easter Saturday there was no entry at 4:45 p.m

Despite the crowds, the ladies were always very friendly and took great care of their guests. The food was very tasty and it was lovely to sit in the garden. The prices were also okay. A clear tip - unfortunately this only rarely happens in the Spreewald. Small drawback - no extra card for children and I couldn't find the opening times on the homepage

Very quaint little restaurant. You can reach it by boat and paddle boat. Everything was great. Leipe is very beautiful. Lovely again.

Hier kann man gut eine Rast machen, gutes Essen und flotte Bedienung! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter. 😁 Leider ist z.z. Montag und Mittwoch Ruhetag und im Internet war das nicht ersichtlich. Also leider umsonst da gewesen. Aber auf alle Fälle zu empfehlen. Bisher waren wir mit Kajak da, heute mit Fahrrad. Tolle Gegend.

Bestes Wetter, 8 Personen, Reservierung vorab nicht möglich - Das Gasthaus war voll, dennoch kurze Wartezeit und schon sassen wir mit weiteren Gästen am Tisch. Voll in Ordnung alle haben Durst oder Hunger🥲 Sehr leckeres spreewaldtypisches Essen, guter Service ziehen uns jedes Jahr hierher! Preis/Leistung voll in Ordnung!

Eine schöne Lokalität. Das Essen was sehr reichhaltig und gut. Leider wollten wir am Vortag für unsere Reisegruppe - 7 Personen - bestellen. Diese wurde abgelehnt mit den Hinweis, dass generell keine Reservierungen angenommen werden. Als wir hin kamen, war der Nachbartisch reserviert und als die 8 Personen eintrafen wurde das Schild weggenommen. Aich keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

Leider gab es nur wenig Auswahl an Speisen und wir fanden es sehr unfreundlich das andere Leute ungefragt an unseren Tisch platziert wurden.

Sehr malerischer Ort und gutes Essen

Während unseres Paddelausfluges haben wir im Restaurant Froschkönig eine Pause gemacht und uns mit einer leckeren Mahlzeit für die Weiterfahrt im Spreewald gestärkt. Das regionale Speisenangebot war lecker und sehr, sehr reichlich. Ein ❤️-liches Dankeschön an den Service. Trotz unheimlich vieler Gäste, wurden wir äußerst freundlich empfangen und jeder noch so kleine Wunsch erfüllt 😊. Die Speisen wurden mit Herz und einem Augenzwinkern zubereitet. Klasse!!!!!! 5 Sterne zu vergeben sind viel zu wenig. Unser nächster Besuch im Spreewald wird und ganz bestimmt wieder zum Froschkönig führen.

Ein wunderschönes Gasthaus im Spreewald, tolle Blumen, alles super sauber und gepflegt, ja! Und auch die Toiletten. Das Essen spreewaldtypisch, üppig, schmackhaft ohne chie- chie! Die Preise angemessen, wir waren schon oft hier, empfehlen es immer weiter und kommen wieder!

Nachdem wir vier Tage lang den Spreewald abgepaddelt haben und in verschiedenen Restaurants eingekehrt sind, ist unser Favorit eindeutig der Froschkönig in Leipe. Traumhafte Lage am Fließ, liebevoll gestaltetes Lokal, supernette Bedienung und leckeres Essen. Absolute Empfehlung. Unbedingt den Hefeplins probieren, ein Gedicht!

Tolle Gaststätte, leider hatten wir als grosse Gruppe kein Glück , ohne lange Wartezeit, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Außenanlage ist super gepflegt, Toiletten Sauber und ordentlich. Anlegen mit dem Kanu ohne Probleme möglich

Ein tolles Lokal mitten im Spreewald 👍 Haben dort lecker Mittag gegessen. Wunderschöne Atmosphäre mit Anlegestelle für Boote. Sehr zu empfehlen. 🙋‍♀️

Urig eingerichtetes kleines Gasthaus. Auf der Flucht vor einem ⛈️ hier eingekehrt. Danke Gewitter 😀👍. Sehr freundlicher Service. Das Essen und die Getränke waren lecker. Es gab ein Dunkles Lübbenauer und Schmorgurken. Als Highlight kann man vor Ort eine Postkarte erwerben und bekommt einen Froschkönig Sonderstempel. 🐸👍 Karte dann in den Hauseigenen 📮 einwerfen.

Bei unserer Spreetour haben wir hier den ersten Stopp unternommen. Das essen kam sehe schnell und es war sehr lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen. Guter Service hat das ganze abgerundet. Leider ist auch hier keine Kartenzahlung möglich (wie oftmals im Spreewald).

Obwohl es brechend voll und die Bedienung schwer beschäftigt war bekamen wir dennoch sehr freundlichen Service und haben uns über ein schmackhaftes Essen gefreut. Gute Portionsgröße und liebevoll hergerichtet. Da unser Hunger nach dem ganzen Paddeln groß war freuten wir uns vor allem, dass das Essen nicht lange auf sich warten ließ ^.^ Danke!

Sehr gute Möglichkeit eine Pause beim Paddeln einzulegen. Empfehlenswert ist das Babben Bier und Hefeplinse mit Eis und Kirschen.

Schöner Ort zur Einkehr bei einer Paddeltour. Boote können problemlos über eine Rolle an Land gezogen werden. Es ist genug Platz für ca.30 Boote vorhanden. Typische Spreewald Spezialitäten die durchweg lecker sind. Einziger Wermutstropfen, man kann nur bar zahlen. Das sollte man auf dem Schirm haben. Da die Preisgestaltung vernünftig ist, geht das aber auch in Ordnung.

6 von 5 Sternen! Sehr netter und Service. Das Essen wird auch flott serviert, ist dennoch frisch zubereitet. Geschmacklich ohne Beanstandungen. Einfach ehrlich Spreewälder Hausmannskost. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert und lohnenswert!!!!!

Sehr schönes Gasthaus. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Uns wurde heute in einen medizinischen Notfall sehr schnell und unbürokratisch durch den Inhaber geholfen. Vielen Dank dafür .

Haben wir bei einer Paddeltour Halt gemacht. Das Essen (1* Klopse, 1* Schnitzel) war selbst gemacht, aber jetzt auch nichts super Besonderes. Preis-Leistung total in Ordnung. Achtung: Nur Barzahlung!
