Toyako Sushi & Grill in Ingolstadt

The concept is great and the individual dishes/sushi are delicious. We enjoy going there, even though it's very expensive. Unfortunately, the service has become very poor. Something is "forgotten" every time.

Restaurant with tablet ordering. The various dishes are displayed on the tablet, and you click on them every 15 minutes... 10 are served, and then you wait. We didn't like the atmosphere so much. It's very loud, and people talking across the table have to be a bit louder. The service was very fast and friendly. The evening menu is overpriced at almost €37. If you add two drinks, you'll easily lose a hundred euros.

Well I think the food tastes great there, especially if you're a sushi fan, it's highly recommended but the selection in general is really limited. If they offered more soups or more vegetables it would be perfect. On top of that the food is really fatty which sits heavily on the stomach. The atmosphere is really nice, you can't complain. But the worst thing is the service, I was there once during the week in the evening, it wasn't busy, the food came straight away, nothing was missing BUT I really don't recommend going there at the weekend, it's packed to the brim and the food we ordered just didn't arrive and our second round had basically already started and we were allowed to order again which we did and nothing arrived or it arrived really late. We were brought dishes that we hadn't ordered and one of the waiters was in a really bad mood and basically threw the dish on the table. So all you can eat on the weekend is not recommended. In the end we had a lot at the table because nothing ever arrived from the previous rounds.

I haven't been here in a long time and I haven't regretted it. The selection is very large, and each meat dish is a delight. The sushi selection is also very extensive and tastes very good - I'll be back....

Cool concept with tablet ordering. I was there for lunch and chose the all-you-can-eat option. The maximum of five bowls were always served very quickly. The sushi, duck, meat, and dessert were all very tasty and fresh. You can order as many rounds of five as you like. The price is reasonable at around €22.

All-you-can-eat, made to order—a good concept to avoid overproduction. If you're really hungry, you'll be happy here; we couldn't eat any more after half the possible orders. The food is averagely good—but unfortunately, nothing more.

By far the best all-you-can-eat we've ever had! Absolutely top-notch quality—we were raving about countless dishes. We didn't have to wait more than two minutes after each order. We're absolutely thrilled and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Really good food! Definitely worth the price!

We made a reservation, which was a good idea because the restaurant was completely packed on a Saturday evening. Ordering with a tablet worked perfectly, and the five dishes available every 15 minutes were more than enough. Overall, we were very satisfied; everything tasted really good (not quite as good as a few weeks ago in Tokyo :-)), but excellent by German standards. It's just quite expensive. But so are other restaurants, and you often don't get food as good or as filling there. We'll definitely be back!

We walked up the stairs to the restaurant and were surprised by the lovely atmosphere. The food was very good, and ordering from a tray was perfect. We came here for dinner because we wanted to enjoy a wider selection. We'll definitely be back!

For the extreme price, the quality has declined significantly in recent months. I'm not going there anymore for the time being. You can get better sushi rolled at home than in this overpriced shop.

My first visit to Toyako was pleasantly surprised. Ordering via tablet was easy, the food arrived quickly, and it was freshly prepared. The sushi was particularly good – fresh and beautifully presented. The hot dishes were also delicious. The restaurant is modern and clean, and the staff was friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience – I'd be happy to return.

A huge selection, everything fresh and delicious. From sushi to hot dishes to dessert: everything is just right here. The service was friendly, the atmosphere pleasant.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. The sushi rolls weren't really rolls and fell apart, which was a bit lackluster. The sushi selection was quite limited at lunch on a holiday, so we only ordered hot dishes afterward. The edamame, however, were cold, and the chicken was full of gristle and bone fragments. The Japanese croquette was a frozen rosti. Some of the deep-fried (frozen) items were fine, as were the beef skewers. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.

It was my first time there and definitely not my last. The food was amazing. It was nice to sit there and order from a tablet. Since we ordered from a tablet, I can't say much about the service, but everyone was very friendly! Highly recommended.

You don't understand the concept of tablet orders. The service is only a delivery to the table, no advice or recommendations. Food tastes good. You can order new every 20 minutes, too long for a lunch break, or you sit for an evening. I don't like the concept at all.

I was there with my husband today and we weren't happy at all. The food was really very little, you feel full from waiting. The food you order arrives in tasting rounds; you can order 5 dishes per person. A court, for example, is 2 pieces of sushi or 1 piece of mochi, which is a joke. Apart from the portion size, the food doesn't taste authentic at all. The Suhsi rice kept falling apart and didn't taste particularly good either. The waiters didn't even look at you, I understand that it can be stressful, especially on weekends, but at least looking at the customer every now and then or asking if everything is ok is the least you can do for this price. We paid a whopping €80 for two people. I'm willing to pay that price if the food and service are good, which was absolutely not the case in this restaurant.

A good quality that you rarely experience at All-You-Can-Eat! You can order 5 dishes per person every 15 minutes via tablet. I'm not sure whether you have 2 or 2.5 hours, but definitely plenty of time so you can enjoy the food while chatting. The service itself is friendly and quick, but I found that you can also tell that they are working under time pressure. The rice to fish ratio was right and not like most all-you-can-eat offerings where there is too much rice and only a small slice of fish, which surprised me a lot and was also super tasty. Not all dishes look like the pictures, but that was only the case for a few dishes, so overall recommended :)

Disappointing, as there are no meat dishes on the menu, I had to order the so-called buffet, the selection is rather small. After ordering, I got the first dishes on the table after 24 minutes (upon request). The second order came in stages after 14 minutes, and there were also wrong dishes. The quality of the meat leaves a lot to be desired. Service under all criticism. The only praiseworthy thing is that when I pressed "count" on the tablet, the operation was there within a minute.

We've been there about 30 times so far and EVERY time they greeted us warmly, showed us to the table and off we went. No matter what you order, you wait a maximum of 5 - 10 minutes for it. The food is warm and flavorful, the fish is fresh and of good quality. We will continue to maintain our habits towards this restaurant :) There are two things I would look forward to in the future: - a chocolate cake for dessert - not so much Teriaky on the beef fillet

You feel like a dog that quickly gets its bowl and then has to leave as quickly as possible. After a few rounds, the staff will check whether you can take the plates and cutlery with you. The same menu has been around for years, or rather it's getting a little smaller. Then go to the restaurant of the same name in Augsburg.

Very good value for money. If you want to fill up on sushi for little money, you've come to the right place. Once you understand the ordering system with the tray, it's really fun and it's really easy to put together your dish variations based on the pictures. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, the chairs are comfortable and we had a good seat with lots of fresh air by the window. The waitresses were very friendly, but there was little personality. Which in turn is due to the concept: This is not about advising the guest, but rather just serving the food and picking up the empty dishes. Conclusion: If you're looking for a special sushi experience and don't care about the price, you've definitely come to the wrong place. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars.

Sort of like a buffet, except that you order the dishes you want using your tablet. The flat rate is worth it given the many dishes! There is a wide variety of dishes that are delivered in small portions so that you can try plenty. Everyone can find something there and I liked everything very much! The service is not particularly warm, but it is quick and efficient. It gets quite crowded, especially on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation!

All you can eat for €32.80. You can order up to 5 dishes per person every 15 minutes for a maximum of 2 1/2 hours. (theoretically 50 dishes per person). Approximately 215 dishes to choose from, from sushi, sashimi, grilled dishes to desserts (ice cream, mochi). All very tasty. Order via iPad, hardly any waiting time for the dishes.

The restaurant is clean and modern. We weren't particularly impressed with the service. The food came very quickly, which was a real plus. But the friendliness of the staff left a little to be desired. All in all, I wouldn't go to Toyako in Ingolstadt again, we've been to Augsburg several times before and I would prefer that again.

For an all you can eat buffet, the quality of the dishes is really good. If you want to try everything out, you can find a good selection of reasonable quality at a reasonable price. It definitely can't compete with a real sushi restaurant like Kokono or Cocoon. The service was also good and the incredibly fast delivery after ordering. My favorite was the teriyaki salmon, the tuna sesame skewer and the desserts. The sushi is much better than running sushi, but I was less impressed. The ambience isn't bad, but it doesn't really fit into the concept. The restaurant is extremely clean. Personally, I wouldn't eat there again, but only because the menu is rather manageable. Good recommendation if you want to try a little of everything.

I visit the restaurant at least once a month. Staff always friendly. Service quick and attentive. The store is always busy, so reservations make sense. Seating options: I prefer to sit on the chairs, not on the bench, as it is too low and just too uncomfortable for me. If you like sushi and fish, the price is really solid. Sushi recommended! If you're more into simple things, then it would be too expensive for me. I would also like to see something new on the “menu” (e.g. shrimp chips, more desserts like cake, sauces like peanut sauce, Thai curry, more soup or something like that - just a few new things). The food is really tasty, but unfortunately it was often the case that the Chinese noodles were badly overcooked and tasted bland. It's a shame, as this is a standard dish for me and something like this shouldn't happen, I've eaten much better elsewhere.

Japanese restaurant. A restaurant with two consumption concepts, Either as à la carte, or as a buffet. We chose the buffet. The menus are iPads, you could order anything there. In buffet mode, 15 portions can be ordered in the first attempt, after seven minutes you can then order 15 portions again, which are then brought to the table in basically 8 minutes. So you have four times the opportunity to order within an hour. We ordered almost everything and would say that there is definitely something for everyone that they like.

The food and service were very good. The price could be a little cheaper for small children! What I don't like is that you sit too low on the long bench and you feel a bit like a 4 year old on an adult chair😅. Therefore a star deduction. Next time a chair will be chosen again. But all in all we were very satisfied.

A different and uncomplicated way to order. Eat for as long as you want/can... and do so in peace, without being given the feeling that "that's enough now". The sushi was generally quite appealing and tasty. However, some side dishes (e.g. champions, soybeans, ...) were not so convincing. I would put the prices for some drinks at the upper end of what is acceptable. Conclusion: Come in and find out.

In this restaurant you always get an iPad for two people with a corresponding app in which you can order 10 items every 15 minutes. One item could be, for example, 2-3 sushi rolls, or a small tuna skewer, or, for example, fried dumplings/spring rolls, etc. To be honest, the quality is as you would expect, because this principle automatically puts quantity over quality. In my opinion, it can't compete with really good sushi, just the way the sushi is presented is in a completely different category to good restaurants. You can do it, personally I prefer to eat significantly less and of better quality. Service was quick, but very often our orders were mixed up with the table next door.

All in all I liked the place and I would visit again. The atmosphere and service was a bit like in a cantina. Some of the dishes were really nice but the sauce was always the same and overall a bit too salty.

It is our favourite restaurant in Ingolstadt for years now. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, food is great, with quality ingredients, and a variety to choose from. The sushi is exceptional and duck is our guilty pleasure. Give it a try, you will come back!

The restaurant was busy on a Thursday evening, so reservations are recommended. When we got to the table, the iPad was already pre-programmed so that 10 dishes for 2 people could be ordered every 15 minutes. The edamame were initially served frozen, then the shell came back in a very short time, suggesting that an assistant cook operated the microwave. The quality of the food is okay, you have to pay just under €30 for an “all you can eat” evening buffet. Sometimes, however, you get the impression that system catering is at play, because the "Korokke" look more like frozen supermarket röstis and have nothing in common with traditional Japanese Korokke. It is noticeable that dishes are not titled correctly, e.g. instead of "Kimchi" the menu says "Kimuchi". The butterfish and salmon yake were definitely good, as were many of the other dishes served! The service was quick and friendly. Overall, however, a mixed impression remains. Given the diversity of the menu and on-site experiences, you don't know how much is prepared, how much comes from the convenience kitchen, and how much is actually freshly prepared.
