Touch Down in Lohmar

Definitely a highlight for meat lovers! OMG 😋 I haven't tasted such delicious and tender meat in ages. We couldn't help ourselves and went to dinner 2 days in a row. A surprise was that on the second day the waitress even remembered our drinks.

Eat delicious food. Great ambience. Top service. Price wise okay. Overall package fits.

It was our first time at Touch Down in Lohner and overall everything was fine. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff friendly and the service quick. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food. Unfortunately the meat was quite tough and not what you would hope. In addition, the portion sizes were really very manageable - none of us were really full, which is of course a shame considering the prices. The taste was otherwise good, but the quality and portions could definitely be improved. Still a nice evening - maybe we'll give it another chance.

I've been there several times now Landing Lohmar. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is really tasty especially the burgers are a real highlight! The cocktails are also perfectly mixed and there is a good selection.

Update 2025: everything is fine again! Update July 2023: Dissatisfied for the first time in 10 years: the burger wasn't good, the brownies were cold, even after they were returned only 2 out of 3 brownies were warm, suddenly smaller and carelessly prepared. The next table was forgotten by the waitress. Of course we will be back and hope that it was just a bad day for the kitchen and service. Update 2023: the prices have been increased significantly, we don't like the ticking papers, we prefer to talk about the nice conditions. Nevertheless, it remains our most visited restaurant in Lohmar. Always friendly staff, good meat, children's play area inside and a small playground outside. Delicious cocktails and homemade lemonade. We, our children and even grandma and grandpa love coming here!

The only thing to complain about is that there was no salad on the plates, I didn't think there was enough of a small tomato, otherwise everything was really great

When asked, the service staff was not well trained in allergen labeling. For people who really have problems, this is unacceptable in this price range. In terms of taste and appearance, the food was recommendable.

We had a bland burger with no real grilled taste (more of a meatball with no taste). The fries were delicious... unfortunately the additional jalapenos we ordered were missing, which would have spiced things up a bit without the delicious burger sauce. A burrito that had nothing to do with Mexico. And then such indefinable bland cheese pockets (more like cheap Lavas folded together with cheap Gouda), the sauces somehow saved it. All in all, in the touch down “Helmut” tries to cook Mexican food. Better to go to Mäkkes or to the chip shop for a cheaper price. I can't understand all these top reviews

We spontaneously went to Touch Down for a cocktail. The service was very friendly and the bartender responded to special requests (such as extra strawberries in the actually strawberry-free Virgin Colada). We also liked the atmosphere. Definitely coming back again!

Suitable atmosphere, friendly staff, the food came very quickly. The spare ribs were super tender and the bones could be pulled from the meat without leaving any residue, like before - speaks for consistent quality! Highly recommended for a pleasant evening for two, with the regulars' table or for special occasions such as birthdays or company parties!

The food is always of the same and good quality. The portions are good and you'll definitely feel full. If you're ever hungry, there's a good selection of desserts waiting for you. The staff is courteous and friendly. Ibo is always concerned about the well-being of its guests and always keeps an overview.

Touch Down serves classic American cuisine with a variety of grilled dishes, salads, etc. While waiting times can be quite long on busy days (especially weekends), the service is friendly and attentive. The food is of great quality and delicious. If something is wrong, improvements will be made. Especially when the owner Mui or Ibu are in the house as regular waiters, the shop runs smoothly and the highest possible level of satisfaction is ensured. Always recommended and also nice after a trip in the area! A special recommendation are the South Side Ribs.

Very attentive and friendly staff who left nothing to be desired. Despite the large number of guests, the food came very quickly and tasted very good from start to finish. In particular, the spare ribs, which came off the bone as soft as butter, were sensational. The delicious cocktails and homemade iced tea are also worth recommending. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back :-)

Always everything top! After many visits over several years, I can only say one thing: “Next time here again!” I love the burgers but other grill dishes are always a culinary delight! We have been going here on and off for 10 years. Today we were here with the whole family plus our family visitor from the USA. We didn't have a reservation and were really lucky that we got a table for 9 people. The food was excellent, the cocktails were really good and the service was friendly and on point. We can only recommend it.

Still a top address for me, even if I unfortunately only rarely make it here because of the long journey. I recommend it to anyone looking for authentic food. I always like to come back.

Yesterday we had our Christmas party with around 20 people at Touch Down. Everything to our complete satisfaction! The food was really tasty & the service was just super professional! Also a big thank you to the always friendly restaurant manager for the perfect organization! We'll definitely be back.

To be honest, the food we had burgers wasn't worth the price. At just under €16, I expected a bit more quality. But what breaks the camel's back is the sometimes incomprehensible business practices. Don't accept anything that is offered to you that you didn't order. Greeks give you an ouzo (free) after your meal. Here we were given cheesecake. You then pay a whopping 24 euros for 6 small cheesecakes. And if you pre-order what is partially required (bowling alley) and we're not talking about a special meal but a salad, then hope that no one gets sick because you can pay for that despite their absence. Tips are also accepted here without being asked. Once and never again there are definitely better ones.

The family room is not that comfortable with a reservation of 10p. We moved our tables together ourselves. Music would have been great. But the children could play there without disturbing anyone. The two girls (waitress) Totally friendly and accommodating as well as MOMO, our bartender, who conjured up the cocktails to be incredibly delicious. Price-performance ratio was perfectly fine. Everyone had a starter, main course and dessert. We can only recommend that we come back, thank you...

We spent the night at the Touchdown Motel today. Despite checking in during the stressful evening service in the restaurant, they made time for us and invited us for a Kölsch. The rooms are modernly furnished and appear to have been recently renovated. There is a TV, some water, a kettle and a selection of tea and instant coffee in the room. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, so everything was very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The motel is located on a highway, but with the windows closed it was still very quiet at night. At check-in we were told that there was no regular breakfast as the restaurant didn't open until later. We were nevertheless offered to prepare a small breakfast at around 11 a.m. in the morning. We didn't expect much, but were surprised by a delicious, sumptuous breakfast platter, there was even a croissant. I think breakfast varies depending on what the kitchen can produce. The breakfast and the room as a whole were excellent value for money! Thank you for the lovely stay! If we stay overnight in the area again, we will come back to you.

Wiedermal ein erstklassiger und spitzenmäßiger Servie vom gesamten Team. Am Eingang wird man schon sehr nett empfangen. Wir hatten ein tollen Platz mit super leckeren Essen. Die Burger 🍔 sind weltmeisterlich. Ebenfalls die große Auswahl an Speisen. Man merkt sofort das alle ihren Job sehr gerne ausüben. Freundlichkeit , Nachfragen ob alles ok ist, ist ebenfalls sehr lobenswert. Es war ein gelungener, toller Abend zum Geburtstag. Jetzt weiß man auch warum man besonders am Wochenende die Parkplätze sehr voll sind. Für alles geben wir die Note 1 ++++..macht weiter so..wir kommen immer sehr gerne wieder und klare Weiterempfehlung. Liebe Grüße ans gesamte Team

We spent our team evening in the Kegelkeller, the food was very tasty and the service was top! Every now and then someone came to check whether we still had enough to drink. We had a great evening.

The meat was raw, even though I told the waiter that I wanted it cooked through. The meat was cold when it was served. The meat was cold again when it was fried a second time. The cost: €90.00 for 2 people is quite steep!!!! NEVER EVER AND 👎🏻‼️

Went there more often, it was nice as a trip. But the prices no longer match what is offered. For example, a chicken sub for around €15 without any side dishes, such as fries or similar. The meat was really good, as is usually the case at Touch Down, but the rest? The sauces are standard and what annoyed me the most was the sub's bread. For the price I expected at least a nice baguette from the local bakery. For your money, however, you only get a relatively small baked baguette, which is available in a pack of four at Aldi for under €1. Likewise my wife's baked potato. Yes, delicious spinach and cheese, but in the end it is and remains one big potato for which you end up paying just under €15. The chocolate cake (around €8 a piece) was also much better and unfortunately tasted a bit like the fridge last time. Spare ribs are also now a relatively dry affair. All in all, unfortunately, that was our last visit to the touchdown. As always, the service was impeccable and very, very friendly. There is nothing to complain about at all. However, if the quality offered no longer matches the price, in the end it is no longer of much use. What a shame!

Great place, especially with children. There is a small children's play area for toddlers. This has 3 tables for families to eat. There are also gluten-free dishes, e.g. the corn tortillas. They also made the burgers gluten-free for me without the burger bun. My husband had the spare ribs and my son had a mix of noodles and hot dogs. The food was excellent. Our service staff was super friendly. And we generally found the staff to be thoughtful and flexible. Thanks.

I haven't eaten there for probably 2 years and was there again a few days ago. I was super disappointed! Has the owner/chef changed? Unlike before, I didn't like the food! I had baked tortillas and they were smothered in cheese. There should be a side salad with it. It consisted of a slice of cucumber, 2 chicory leaves and a few carrot slices. The beans with it had something like a soup. There was way too much liquid. The dish that I always enjoyed eating was no longer on the menu. But the quality has definitely decreased for me. Too bad! The service was very good.

We've eaten better here. Unfortunately, a dish was simply put together differently because ingredients were missing, but without prior notice. Very unfortunate. The remaining dishes were, as usual, delicious. Cocktails are always recommended here.

We have been coming to Touch Down to eat for many years. The quality of the food and service has deteriorated. The waiting times for the food to arrive are now very long. You shouldn't be too hungry.

Waren auf der Durchreise, sind irgendwo abgebogen und haben dieses Restaurant gefunden. Manchmal findet man so die besten Locations. Wir haben den besten Roastbeef-Spieß seit langem gegessen. Das Chili con Carne uns die gebratenen Champignons waren mega lecker. Der Service ist super und die Atmosphäre sehr entspannt!

Great service and very tasty Tex-Mex food in a beautiful courtyard location. Playground for the children in the immediate vicinity. Only the toilets need to be renovated. Our visit on Sunday evening was just super nice. We'll be back!

You feel alert and warm every time. It has a restaurant garden that takes its work seriously and a very comfortable and natural environment.

We like to stop when we pass here. Today for the third/fourth time here. Delicious again. Roast beef skewer and rum steak. Since we've been lucky with the weather so far, we've always sat outside and can't say anything about the indoor area. Staff also very polite and accommodating.

I was there for the second time. The first time years ago on a motorcycle tour and the second time today with friends because we were at All in America at Krewelshof. There was no difference in the food or the service. The food was great and the service was very attentive and friendly. I would come again and again.
