Tony Roma's in Berlin

I've been going here since I was a kid and love the Baby Back Eins. Although I think they could have a bit more bite. The Onion Loaf and Family Feast are great.

We like eating there, even when it was at Potsdamer Platz. The ribs are excellent. They were prepared ahead of time, but that's okay; they could have been a bit warmer. The fries, too. What I don't think is okay is the constant reminder that you only have two hours and that you have to clear your table on time, even though there are still plenty of free tables. What is that? A cafeteria? We pay for our existence, and this kind of time management isn't appropriate in a restaurant. It's become fashionable since the coronavirus pandemic, and it's simply unfriendly to customers. The restaurant industry has been struggling for a while, and this behavior isn't helping things, but it's certainly not the guests' fault!!!!!!!!!

I ordered this as a takeaway after a concert. Staff seemed in a bad mood, not really friendly but it was late. Food itself was not bad, but the outrageous part is that this was €25 worth of babyback ribs. You get some fries and salad. I had not touched the food yet on the photo and yes, one rib didn't even have meat on it! Maybe they'd give you more in the restaurant itself, but I really don't think this restaurant is worth it for take out. I'll just get some currywürst next time. Cheaper and probably just as good.

The service was very attentive, and even though we didn’t have a reservation, they found us a spot at the bar, which turned out to be a great experience. The waiter who served us was really friendly and made us feel welcome. However, when we asked another staff member for the bill, he didn’t seem to understand English and wasn’t as polite. We ordered ribs, which were perfect — tender and flavorful — but the chicken tenders were unfortunately over-fried, the meat was very dry, and we couldn’t finish them. Overall, a nice atmosphere and good service, though the food quality was a bit uneven.

I have a soft spot for American gastropubs and was therefore really looking forward to visiting Tony Tomas. To start with, I was served warm bread with butter in classic steakhouse style. A nice start. The spare ribs were really, really good, and the fries were also first-class. The homemade BBQ sauces were also excellent. My wife is a vegetarian, though. Commendably, they also have a vegetarian burger (a Swiss burger with mushrooms, mountain cheese, and caramelized onions). It wasn't remarkable in any way, but it was a really poor offering. Therefore, the food loses one star. Of course, vegetarians aren't the target audience. But they're quite common these days. So, I expect Nele Restaurant to offer a good alternative in this price range. The service was excellent, fast, attentive, and super kid-friendly (they have really great kids' menus anyway, and the prices are more than fair!) The drinks were good too. The ambiance, however, was... well, very interchangeable. The vibe was so "90s hotel lobby." What really bothered me, though, were the giant TVs hanging everywhere, showing spare ribs being smothered with BBQ sauce on an endless loop... in slow motion. Completely unnecessary. At the same time, the TVs are hard to ignore because of the constant image changes. (Please, dear Tony Romas: just turn them off!)

The spare ribs were incredibly delicious; the meat fell off the bone. They were perfectly seasoned, too. I'll definitely be back.

If you like large quantities of meat, this is the place for you. Rib lovers are in the right place. I don't like the presentation; the seating isn't particularly comfortable. It's more for a quick bite to eat and then move on.

I've been here five times, and every time it's been great. Even at my birthday party, everyone was very nice and the food was extremely good.

Best Ribs ever! Wasn't expecting too much but it has really surprised me. Friendly and attentive service also and a great atmosphere. Next Time i'll comeback before or After a match if Alba Berlin just next Dior 😉

Service Team not friendly or attending at all to costumers, even though restaurant is not half occupied. Food was ok, nothing special. Would not come again, specially not with a bigger group or family for a special occasion.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it! When making a reservation, they'll ask you about any special occasions, which are then completely ignored. The bread you get is cold and soggy. The jalapeños as an appetizer are overpriced and come on the plate without any garnish. The main courses are served without first clearing the appetizers. The fillet was definitely not 200g, but it was cooked to perfection. The beans that came with it were unfortunately not properly cleaned. If you don't order more immediately after the main course, the bill arrives immediately, and it feels like you've been kicked out. Conclusion: Not very hospitable, the food is unloving, and overall overpriced.

The best, truly the best ribs in the world! The baby back ribs are simply unbelievably tender, juicy, and the flavor is by far the best I've ever experienced or tasted!

We were looking forward to a special evening and made a reservation accordingly. We sat right next to the cash register, which wasn't very comfortable. But it wasn't a problem; we were back outside after 45 minutes. Our server was very nice, which was a positive. The food was okay, but the meat wasn't particularly high quality. We were unfortunately disappointed, because for the price, the quality of all the dishes was below par: the appetizers were frozen, the burger patty was dry, and the beef fillet was a bit chewy.

Very tasty food, the quality really impressed us. The ribs are a particular highlight, and the portions are generous. However, it was quite crowded and therefore quite loud, which made the atmosphere a bit tense. But if you come primarily for the food, this is the place to go. We recommend making a reservation and bringing an appetite; any leftover food can, of course, be taken away. The underground parking garage beneath the Uber parking lot is a good option.

We've been there several times and have always been thrilled. Most recently, we were there for birthdays. At first, everything was good, and we had no complaints. When the main courses arrived, one dish was missing. There was no information from the waiter. When we asked about the food after 10 minutes, after consulting the kitchen, we were told it had to be prepared again. All right, mistakes can happen. But good service requires reasonable communication. Why doesn't anyone notice the missing plate or is the kitchen informed? Finally, the food arrived after everyone else had finished eating. The highlight was the children's dish (mini burger + fries). A dry mini burger with just a patty and two slices of cucumber. Several people smelled and tasted the burger. Everyone said it tasted weird and smelled very odd. How can a burger smell like fish? The burger was inedible! Again: mistakes can happen. But not owning up to your mistakes isn't okay. When we brought up the issue, the service staff told us there was nothing unusual. The products are good, they go straight into the refrigerator, and the employees wouldn't smell anything. Very strange when we all smelled weird and someone was throwing up... The employee's reaction was also very disappointing. She lacked any empathy (after all, it was a children's meal), and instead responded in increasingly spiteful ways. Unfortunately, the birthday dinner didn't end on a happy note.

Compared to the old location, there's less flair, much smaller portions, and very high prices. Drinks starting at €7, etc.

I met up with a good friend there yesterday to have spare ribs. And what can I say? It was truly delicious. Upon arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The service was very friendly and fulfilled our every wish! The food was simply insanely good. The meat fell off the bone so tender, simply delicious. There's nothing to complain about in terms of taste either. I ordered the St. Louis ribs in a "large" size. It was the right choice. The regular portion would probably have been too small. And for €3 more, you can definitely get the large portion. My good friend ordered the "baby bags" and was also very impressed. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend them. A few weeks ago, six of us went to Tony's again and were really looking forward to it... but then unfortunately we discovered that the prices had gone up, sometimes by €5, and the portions had gotten smaller. I usually order a full rack of baby back ribs plus fries and was completely gutted afterward, and my partner never finished her plate... this time our plates were empty... we weren't, and that surprised us... our couple of friends also confirmed the feeling of smaller portions. The food itself was super delicious, but with the price increase and the smaller portions, we'll think twice about going somewhere else in the future... what a shame! But the service was excellent as always, and the atmosphere is still fantastic!

A must-go for spare rib fans—and don't forget the onion tower. Delicious!

I got food poisoning from the baby back ribs. They tasted really strange and dry, but I thought the cook had messed it up. That wasn't the case after throwing up three times and having diarrhea for a week. I don't seem to be the first to experience this.

A place I've already declared my regular haunt in Canada, "best ribs in town," as the slogan promises, is no lie! Unfortunately, only in Berlin, but you should consider it, and it's not quite as cheap either! But as always, super good!

Unfortunately, disappointing – more show than substance The two of us went to Tony Roma's in Berlin today, full of anticipation for some really good ribs. Unfortunately, this expectation wasn't met. We had the WORLD-FAMOUS BABY BACK RIBS and the ST. LOUIS RIBS. Both were… well, okay. But really just okay. There was no hint of "world famous" in them, neither in the taste nor in the tenderness of the meat. For the price, I definitely expected more. Not a disaster, but also not something I would order again. The service was also rather poor, unfortunately. Not rude, but not particularly attentive or friendly either. The completely smeared sauce jars on the table were particularly noticeable; it just looked dirty. The wait of almost 40 minutes for the food (even though the place wasn't full) was the icing on the cake. Conclusion: We really wanted a good BBQ experience, but what we got was mediocre food, slow service, and a rather unloving atmosphere. What a shame! There are definitely better alternatives in Berlin.

The best ribs in town. If you go there, you should definitely eat them. The decor is like an American upscale chain restaurant, not exactly cozy. Service is quite attentive and friendly. Food comes out quickly, depending on how busy the restaurant is. Ribs and the like aren't cheap, but they're really delicious.

We visited with a couple of friends and their baby. They gave us a nice, quiet spot a little further back in the store. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were delicious and attractively presented. Afterward, a walk to aid digestion was urgently needed, as our eyes were perhaps a little bigger than our stomachs :D We'll definitely see you again :)

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. A 36-euro steak with bland, cold sides was a lot of money for little value. The steak itself had almost no flavor either. Pretty disappointing considering you can make the dish yourself for a fraction of the price.

It was an expensive meal, but quite tasty. The ribs, for example, are simply delicious. 😋 What's unfortunately not acceptable: small changes cost extra. Almost every restaurant has no problem exchanging a side dish included with a meal for another (equivalent) one upon request. And at no extra charge. Here, you're supposed to pay for it. Unfortunately, there was no plausible explanation. I find that a no-go given the prices, and it somewhat soured the visit. So we didn't exchange the side dish, and it probably ended up in the trash later. That's a shame, don't you think? We took the ribs we didn't finish with home. But again, it's a shame: A dollop of sauce to take away costs extra if you want it separately and don't want to smash the ribs and fries with it. The wait staff, however, were all very friendly and attentive. The restaurant seemed really clean.

The Feast Platter was truly delicious: the ribs were tender, the shrimp were fresh and crispy, the sauces were delicious—everything was just amazing. The server was also super nice and enjoyed making jokes. I wouldn't have thought it would taste so good in such a touristy place, and I'm usually very picky.

The ambiance is reminiscent of a true American steakhouse, and this is reflected in the food. An excellent selection of American classics, all delicious. The service was very attentive, extremely friendly, and always courteous.

It was our first time at Tony Roma, although we've been there several times before. Wonderfully tasty food and the drinks were perfectly seasoned. A very satisfied thank you from us!

The three of us spontaneously decided to eat here. Almost all the tables were free, but we were only reluctantly offered a table. Ours was right by the entrance. There was no peace and quiet here. I had the set menu with the vegetarian burger. Unfortunately, the burger was completely inedible. I couldn't tell whether it was the sauce or the patty. My companions agreed after tasting them. The fries and salad were very good, but in a place like this, the fries shouldn't be the best.

Incredibly good food and very friendly service. Two of us came here during peak hours, and despite not having a reservation, they made sure we got a table. The server was very friendly, and the kitchen also had everything else on the menu, not just the ribs. The food took quite a while to arrive, but it was easy to understand given the busyness. 9/10, highly recommended, would come back anytime.

Three years ago, I was won over by this restaurant. This time, unfortunately, it was a disappointment. My companion suffered food poisoning after the visit. My own meal was equally disappointing. I had ten grilled king prawns on two skewers with peppers and red onions, served with herb butter, rice, and green beans. The rice was completely tasteless, with neither salt nor pepper. The prawns were as tough as rubber, and the beans seemed to have been left over, wilted and shriveled. The Aperol tasted as if it were non-alcoholic. We also ended up having to wait half an hour for the bill, even though the restaurant wasn't full. A real shame, especially considering my positive experiences in the past.

I'd been to Tony Roma's before and had fond memories of it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed this time. Shortly after eating the World Famous Baby Back Ribs and a Coke, I felt really bad: nausea, diarrhea, fever with chills, and severe body aches. The Coke was also very diluted and tasted watery. Sitting was also uncomfortable; we were given a table so close to the next one that my companion had to sit sideways the whole time to avoid constantly touching the person at the next table with her shoulder. You don't expect that when you go out to eat. It's a real shame.

When we walked into the shop, we were immediately told we were seven minutes late, even though the place was half empty. The burger was very dry, as were the spare ribs. The value for money was pretty poor. The server was good at first, but he asked again if we needed anything, but that was it.

I was at the restuarant Saturday with a couple of friends and I would say this is the worst experience I have had in Berlin. First we arrived just two of us and our kids and we got a table outside but because it was too sunny we instantly decided to change so we asked the waiter if we could move to another sit under the umbrella. The waiter told us he would have to ask about it even though there was no sign or reserved on it. Then we sat down and waited for someone to attend to us almost 30 mins and no one came to use we had to call the attention of several waiters who declined and said that’s not their table to wait. Finally a rude waiter came to our table and asked us rudely what we wanted we made our orders and waited. We ordered the family feast, when it arrived some items were missing took us a moment to notice but we did and at this point I was so pissed I had to go inside to complain. They eventually sent a nicer waiter to us but at this point it’s already too late. One blonde waiter was so unhappy to see us I’m not sure why but I think it’s because we had kids. She pulled the chair off and was so rude speaking to us about the kids. There were other people with kids in the restaurant even the table right next to us had a small son. Whilst we were there other people with kids came in to the restaurant so we concluded that it was because of our skin color. I have a lot to say about my experience that Saturday in general the food was good but the service was terrible. If they do not want black people in the restaurant they could have said it instead of treating us the way they did.

I came here with my friends but the service was so bad.they didn’t even come to our table to take our order ,we begged them to take our orders then they didn’t bring our full order and without cultlery.we had to go back to beg for our full order and cutlery.the food was nice but the discrimination we faced made it tasteless.the blonde lady even shouted at us,she was so rude and arrogant as black person I won’t go back here.

I was at Tony Roma's Berlin for business with a group of eight people, two of whom were vegetarians. Since it's a steak and ribs restaurant, the vegetarian options are unfortunately very limited. Even the baked potato was topped with bacon, which made it difficult for vegetarians to find a suitable alternative. I ordered the vegetarian burger. It was okay, but not particularly convincing – the patty reminded me more of a meatball. With an alternative like Beyond Meat, the burger would certainly have tasted even better. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was nice and pleasantly quiet, which made the experience very pleasant. I don't think I'm part of this restaurant's main target audience, but I still wanted to share my feedback. For meat lovers, Tony Roma's is certainly a good place, but for vegetarians, it still has room to improve.

The food was good, the spare ribs were tender and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit cold. The place seems a bit dated and could use some improvements. The service was very friendly and competent, but suddenly became rude when there was a misunderstanding while paying (splitting the bill). I have no idea what his problem was. The prices are quite high; almost €5 for a small drink is unacceptable...

Very tasty food and a nice ambiance, but the occasional questionable choice of music for a place of this class. Unfortunately, the staff is overwhelmed even with 3-4 tables occupied, constantly forgetting drink orders and pulling faces as if they were being forced to work. As I said, the food is very tasty, but a bit expensive, which is probably due to the popular location. It's more for tourists than for real Berliners. Drinks are okay, but for the Roma Peach, which is apparently supposed to be a signature drink, they often run out of ingredients, which is why I couldn't order it the fourth time. Unfortunately, these aren't unique experiences. Despite all that, it's a restaurant that true barbecue lovers should visit at least once, if they have the money.

The food was not only delicious, but also exciting and varied. What was particularly nice was that we were constantly asked if everything was okay. There were five of us (3 adults, 2 teenagers) – and everyone was absolutely thrilled. A visit we would gladly repeat!

The first time, the service was very good. Unfortunately, not so much the second time (different staff). When we arrived at the reception, there were four employees, and no one spoke to us. A minute later, one approached us and said he had a table despite us not having a reservation. However, the table was supposedly only free for about 1.5 hours. Everything was fine. Unfortunately, the wait time for ordering was very long. The food was OK; ribs and fish and chips were all good. When our table was cleared, I asked for a bill/payment. No one came... Finally, we had to leave and then found the waiter and paid by card. When paying, there was the option to add a tip. Because the service was so bad, I only gave 2 euros, but the waiter was thinking out loud to himself and found it ridiculous. Dude, I'm glad you even get a tip, despite the poor service. In other countries, you don't even have to tip for good service!!! Where is the gratitude? The tenant or boss/entrepreneur urgently needs to train their employees. If that doesn't work, hire others or pay them better, despite the possible shortage of skilled workers. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience the second time around; we'll think twice about becoming regulars again. The service feels more like a come-eat-go business for tourists.

For me personally, these are still the best spare ribs I've ever eaten...unfortunately. The meat is always so tender, juicy, and falls off the bone easily (picture-perfect ribs). Even after all these years, they've remained true to their product. The ambiance is excellent, and the restaurant is always very clean. We had a cozy seating area for two, and the service is always superb, with very little waiting time, no matter what you order. Tony Roma's should be on your to-do list when visiting Berlin. We will definitely be back ❤️

The food was quite good, but it was overshadowed by the mediocre to poor service and ambiance. After the drinks and food were served, no one showed any interest in us, meaning we literally had to chase the waiter to order more drinks. We found the ambiance to be lackluster. Considering the prices charged, this definitely needs to be improved!

We chose this American restaurant and were not disappointed. The interior is nicely decorated, and the staff is great. We sat inside, and the table was good. We had world-famous baby back ribs, and they were delicious. I liked that the waitress gave us adult bibs. That lightened the mood even more. We loved the food. I would go there again.

The ribs were very good. The fries didn't taste as good to us and seemed to have been fried in slightly older oil. Salt and pepper on the tables would have been helpful. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very attentive. We weren't asked for drinks once, even though we sat there for over an hour. We weren't even brought clean towels until we asked for them.

I've been to this restaurant with my colleagues several times already. The barbecue ribs are always great. Last time, a vegetarian colleague was with us and he didn't leave hungry either.) Two of my colleagues like spicy food and the waiters at this restaurant found a suitable solution for them. We always book a table in advance. Otherwise, you won't get in.) Thank you! Best Ribs in Berlin We ordered "The Ultimate Family Feast." The meat was tender and the sauce was great. The portion was also decent, and not only were the ribs delicious, but the shrimp and chicken lollipops were also delicious.

In this place you can find a good variety of food so is nice to go on group so all have something different to choose ! I tried the chicken schnitzel and I recommend it !! And they open until 00:00!! So good 😊

This was the first place we visited in Berlin. We didn't have to wait, we came when it opened. We were bribed by the reviews from the Internet. This is definitely a place for rib lovers. Since I don't eat sugar, it wasn't very tasty. There was a sea of ​​sugar in the sauces, in the ribs, even in the cabbage that came with the side dish. It was super unusual. We chose dishes from the lunch menu, since the prices on the main menu had skyrocketed. I think the opinion/rating of this place is a bit overstated.

We've already eaten here twice. There is nothing to say about the food because it is divine. But after our last visit, we don't stop there anymore. It was midday on a Monday. The restaurant and terrace were empty except for one guest outside. We were traveling with a stroller and since the weather was nice, we asked if we could sit outside and the waiter told us there wasn't enough space and we should leave the stroller inside. But the baby can't sit yet. Okay, so we were put inside in the farthest corner and didn't even really have access to the car. We then got up and left. Unfortunately that doesn't work at all.

We visited this restaurant as part of a birthday party. Unfortunately, our evening was significantly marred by a very unpleasant incident. The waitress accidentally dumped an entire tray of drinks - including red wine and apple juice - on our group. Not only our clothes but also the gifts we brought were heavily soiled. The waitress apologized, but no compensation or further accommodation was offered. To make matters worse, we were asked to leave promptly at 7 p.m., even though some of the time originally available was lost because the table and floor had to be cleaned first. We find it extremely rude that we were not given additional time or other redress despite these circumstances. We had imagined this event to be completely different and are very disappointed with how this incident was handled.

Food was below average, atmosphere was okay. However I was highly upset with the service. I guess they’re spoiled with high number of tourists and they don’t care about providing good service, because they know there are many customers out there. Waiters were grumpy and careless. Plus it’s so expensive for such service and food. Will never EVER go there again!
