The food was great – the doner kebab plate was huge and absolutely delicious! Service "only" 5 stars because I had to order myself – and only paid in cash, which isn't contemporary! The atmosphere was okay! The food again – absolutely sensational! The bread is baked on-site! I highly recommend this place!

For €12, you get a baguette-like loaf, which is still a reasonable price. However, the amount of meat could have been larger. I also expected more flavor. The preparation seems rather rushed and lacks love. In any case, I can't confirm that this is the best kebab in Frankfurt.

I ate here 2-3 years ago, and I really enjoyed it. Today, however, it was the complete opposite. The bread was as tough as rubber, the meat was full of fat, there was barely any salad, and there were no sauces. Instead, just a bit of greens as decoration—and all for 12 euros. Very disappointing, never again.

I don't understand the exorbitant price for a doner kebab for €12?! Yes, the bread is longer and therefore also narrower, but the ends aren't as well-filled. The toppings are probably the same amount as in a regular doner kebab. The taste was okay, nothing special. The fries weren't good at all; the potatoes were still raw. They only asked for some doner meat on a plate for two small children, which also cost €12. They don't have children's menus. The two stars are only for the meat, which was okay, but nothing special.

At €12, the doner kebab is above average in price, but the quality is also above average. The bread and meat were excellent. I didn't like the fact that after ordering, the doner was simply topped with whatever was on it without even asking what was on it. What's going on here is an absolute disgrace! I've been to this shop twice because everyone's whining about it being the "best kebab in Frankfurt." Result: Totally disappointing. Even the combination of arugula and lemon in the kebab just takes some getting used to. Who would think of that? And now the icing on the cake: The kebab now costs 12 euros! This shop was the first in Frankfurt to raise the price to 10 euros, setting off a wave of rumblings. Of course, everyone else follows suit—why not, if the customers are so stupid? Just greedy and completely unreasonable. No wonder more and more people are fed up with kebabs. You're not just ruining your own name with this kind of rip-off, but the entire industry.

WEITERE KOMMENTARE IN Google

The quality should be consistent at all times, whether it's afternoon, evening, or night. If you're open until 5 a.m., the kebab should taste good at night too. After all, the prices aren't getting any cheaper, so I expect the same quality no matter when I arrive. Instead, it seems as if, after midnight, the assumption is that only drunks will be stopping by, and you're simply sent packing. The meat was cold, pre-sliced, tough, and tasteless. A kebab should be fresh off the spit, not from a shelf. The fries were greasy, the bread was cold, and you have to pay extra for every little thing. With the prices now so exorbitant, it's just disappointing. The whole thing only survives on YouTube hype, but good quality doesn't look good at all. Absolutely not recommended for locals. There are plenty of better places in Frankfurt with fair prices and fresh kebabs. It's a shame; there was potential there.

This was probably the worst experience ever. The kebab we were served looked quite appealing at first. But after three bites, we realized it was mostly still raw. This is an absolute disgrace and, to top it off, extremely irresponsible. The complaint was met with a lack of understanding. They said everyone has different tastes, and I was the first to complain. I think 3.6 stars speak for themselves, as do the numerous trays and tables with half-eaten kebabs. It's a shame that the sense of good taste and honesty seems to have been lost, and that hype and attention are enough to survive in the restaurant world these days. Unfortunately, my visit to TombulDöner was disappointing – and I honestly don't understand why this place is experiencing such a hype. Firstly, the organization was disastrous. You wait in line for ages, with no idea if or when a table will be available. The employees seemed extremely hectic, and the process was completely chaotic. Secondly, the atmosphere was unfortunately very unfriendly. I only had one small special request – half of the kebab with sauce, the other half without – and was then rudely addressed with "So many requests!" I found that really inappropriate. Customer friendliness doesn't look like that. Thirdly, the quality of the food was not convincing. The kebab consisted largely of dry, hard bread. There was very little meat in it, but the salad had too much lemon. Unfortunately, it wasn't my taste. On a positive note, I'd just like to mention the employees who cleared the tables outside – they were friendly and helpful. At the bar, however, a completely different tone prevailed: rude, stressed, and not customer-oriented. What personally disappointed me most—especially for a Muslim-run business—was that they sold Coca-Cola. Given the current situation in the Middle East, I would have liked to see more awareness and solidarity. There are plenty of alternative beverages (such as Fritz-Kola or regional suppliers) that don't belong to controversial corporations. I went there because I had heard a lot of positive things about it. But for me, it was definitely not an experience I'd want to repeat. What a shame.

I was here yesterday to try the famous doner kebab. Unfortunately, you could only pay in cash, which I find rather outdated given today's prices. Charging almost €15 for a doner kebab with a drink and then not allowing card payments is not customer-friendly in my opinion. If there are four of you, that's almost €60 in cash – absolutely impractical. I can't comment on the taste, as I ate elsewhere. The doner kebab used to be the best in Frankfurt (Main), but over the past few months its quality has declined significantly and it simply doesn't taste good anymore. The meat used to be top-notch and well-seasoned, but unfortunately, it has also lost some of its flavor. Furthermore, the texture of the meat in the doner kebab doesn't look good anymore, as you can't see any meat fibers. I thought the price of €10 was reasonable before the quality discount, but now you can save yourself the trouble. Edit: If you look at the pictures of the skewer that customers have posted, you can clearly see that it's now of the lowest quality (cheap ground meat is mixed in). This only confirms my assessment. I still remember how the owner justified the price increase to €10 in a video with the special quality of his doner kebab. This was before the quality discount. How can you seriously charge €10 for this garbage after such an obvious discount using the cheapest quality? 2nd edit: Now it's €12 for a kebab... the quality has declined again, the ingredients are inferior, but the owner's profit maximization has obviously increased. Anyone who still supports this hasn't heard the shot!

The meat hasn't tasted good the last few times. I'll never be back.

Yeah, no. 12€ for a Kebab is outrageous. 10 was already hard to justify but this - not coming back

The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and the price is justified for the quantity.

The kebab is okay. The lemon juice on top is something special. €12, I don't know if that's appropriate. Cash only is commendable, though!

My first visit: The meat was good, the bread was delicious, but unfortunately, I almost only tasted lemon. I'm not used to eating kebabs with lemon, especially since I specified exactly what I wanted in them. So I don't understand this lemon overload... you should at least ask... My second visit: The meat was average, relatively dry, the bread was good. The restrooms could have been cleaner. Conclusion: Not good value for money. If I'm nearby, I might go there, but nothing more.

War fans who miss the barracks will get their (high) money's worth here. First, you'll be shouted "NEXT" (a phrase you might still hear in Offenbach), then "Salad alles" (everything, salad). Customers' requests are only partially accommodated, and conversation is strictly discouraged. If the usual line is there, that's understandable, but not with three people. The "best" comes last: the carelessly thrown-together standard doner kebab costs TWENTY-THREE 47 Marks! It is, however, large.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore. The quality has declined, but it's still okay, I'd say. However, the prices have risen to €12 for a kebab! No one can tell me that the place hasn't made a killing with the number of customers charging €10 per kebab. I'm unfortunately out of the league of those who line their pockets for a mediocre kebab...

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. The line wasn't particularly long, but while waiting, we noticed the way a customer in front of us was treated. He had ordered a lahmacun but received a doner kebab instead. Instead of fulfilling his correct request, he was asked to eat the doner kebab. When it was finally our turn, we were very rudely asked to place our order – the employee shouted loudly, "Next please." If we hadn't walked the extra 15 minutes to this place, we probably would have decided against ordering, but opted for a doner kebab anyway. Unfortunately, I wasn't asked what sauce I wanted, and they generously smothered it with garlic sauce. When I asked why I wasn't asked, I was told that if you order "with everything," you automatically get garlic sauce. I found that inappropriate. Truly rude, like Oscar the employee. The price of €12 for this doner kebab was a disappointment. The meat was okay, but the bread was tough and not warm. Overall, the food was nothing special and definitely not worth the price. There are much better options in Frankfurt. The restaurant should urgently improve its customer service. The lines are longer in Berlin, but the service is friendly and the quality remains high.

For the price (€10), it's a big one. But that's to be expected. And in my opinion, it's the best kebab in Frankfurt.

Unfortunately, nothing good to report. The cashier belongs in the far corner of the store, not at the front. You can't let people like that loose on humanity. He stares at women, makes stupid jokes, and is rude. Totally unacceptable and inappropriate. The kebab was okay.

Zero hygiene measures, okay staff, but the owner seems annoyed and fed up. Tables and walls covered in dust and food scraps. You can tell you're actually sitting at a train station.

It was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The portions were super large and the food was ready quickly. The ambiance in the restaurant is okay, but could be better.
