Gosh, a real Japanese experience in Hannover. The place is small, but the freshness and preparation of the products make you think you are on some random street in some medium-sized city in Japan. I recommend the Miso soup anyway. In a country where many may complain of not feeling "the true spirit" of other countries' food, this restaurant is a rarity of its kind.

Update: We were there again and are totally thrilled again! Will be our regular drink! So sweet and friendly ♡ great food at great prices ♡♡♡ 4 stars and definitely recommended

Tomo Sushi is by far the best sushi experience in Hanover. We have been regular customers since day one. The sashimi is super fresh, the people are very attentive and friendly and the menu is very authentic. We are very happy that there is something so great in Hanover and we like to come regularly from Langenhagen to spend a nice evening there <3 We can also highly recommend the warm sake :)

Priced at the top end but also very tasty.

The udon noodles were superb, everything else as well (gyoza, yakitori, sushi, tea). The interior is interestingly decorated and there is an aquarium with small fish. Immaculate service, the lady serving us (and cooking the food!) was fast as lightning. As the rest of the reviews say - cash only, go to the ATM because it will be worth it.

This restaurant was recommended to me while I was looking for Asian food during my trip to Hanover! It's run by a Korean couple, so you can order in Korean, and there are tables outside the store, so you can eat outside! It was very delicious and the owner was very friendly☺️

The quality of the fish is really fresh and delicious, just like what you get in Japan🩷 The types of donburi are also very delicious and of very high quality😍

This is the best sushi restaurant in Hannover. The owner is very kind and full of energy. I went with a German guest and he really liked it. This place is recognized as a truly delicious restaurant that caters to the tastes of both Germans and Koreans. It's usually very crowded so you may have to wait, so be prepared to go. The price is a bit expensive, but I was very satisfied with the taste and service.

I had a really great dinner at Tomo Sushi with my friends. It has been here for 22 years. Food was all great and nicely presented. Surely it is the best Japanese restaurant in Hannover.

The food was very delicious and the service was very welcoming. I forgot my bottle in the restaurant and the next day the owner called me to ask if i had left my bottle in the restaurant. That was very kind and thoughtful of them.

Very good Japanese cuisine. Finally eating katsudon again (previously with pork, now unfortunately only with chicken) and great gyoza, vegetarian or possible with chicken or pork. Everything tasted fresh and the sushi was generous and super tasty. We really enjoy coming here.

I was here on Saturday, I really liked the shrimp in batter, since not every restaurant can cook them deliciously! Now I have found a place where I can come with friends! 😍

For me, Tomo Sushi is one of the best two sushi restaurants in Hanover (if not the best!), always polite, generous in service and service and the food on offer is excellent! The atmosphere is great, the service is wonderful and the sushi is fantastic. I was recommended this place by my Japanese teacher from the local Hanover-Hiroshima Friendship Club (as Hanover is also a Partner City with Hiroshima) and I have to say I fully understand her recommendation and also have to recommend visiting. One small thing to be aware of is they currently only take Cash, so no payment with any Card. We have had: Wakame, Tako Yaki, Ebi, Chicken Gyoza, Edamame, Tea, Yuzuka Lemonade, Maki, Nigiri etcetera Enjoy! Itadakimasu!

The landlady is very, very nice! ! Because we were students before, we didn’t charge tips😭 In addition to Japanese dishes, there are also several Korean dishes. My favorite ones are pork kimchi donburi and pork teppanyaki. The skewers are also good!

Tomo Sushi is recommended for all sushi fans from Hanover. The sushi is served on beautiful ships. Other dishes - I had the rice with tuna -, the starters and the teas are also highly recommended. The owners of Tomo Sushi are very friendly and competent.

Beste sushi die we ooit hebben gehad! Mijn vriend en ik zijn helemaal gek van sushi en waren als uitje in Hanover. Mijn vriend had deze plek gevonden en we waren zeer verrast met de knusse sfeer, het lieve en gastvrije echtpaar dat ons ontving en de sushi die werkelijk authentiek smaakte. Als wij weer in Hanover zijn gaan we hier zeker opnieuw heen!

Unglaublich nett und lecker! Hatten nicht genug Geld dabei und durften es wann anders bringen. So etwas nettes, habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt.

Ich war das erste Mal in einem japanischen Restaurant, und wusste nicht was mich erwartet. Das Essen war genau mein Geschmack. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre perfekt dem Land angepasst. Alles in allem eine familiäre Gemütlichkeit.

Wir haben leckere Miso - Suppen, warme Vorspeisen und andere typische Spezialitäten genossen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Authentische Speisen.

Waren zum ersten Mal dort. Das Sushi war wunderbar. Die Auswahl an vegetarischen Varianten könnte allerdings größer sein. Das was es gab können wir allerdings zu 100% empfehlen.

예약을 하지 못하고 들어갔지만 사장님께서 두자리를 마련해주셨다 :) 주문을 마치고 음식을 기다리고 있는데 사장님께서 서비스라면서 교자, 가라아게, 타키를 갖다 주셨다💙 두분 다 너무 편하게 대해주셨어요! 중간에 김치도 주시고 음료도 주시고 ㅎㅎ 제일 좋았던 부분 아무래도 음식의 맛 아닐까요?! 독일에서는 일식당을 가도 실망하는 경우가 많은데 여기 연어, 참치 초밥은 너무 좋았고 장어초밥은 대박!! 덴뿌라 우동은 양이 장난아니고 맛도 최고!! 후식으로 과일까지,,,!!! 하노버 최고의 맛집인거 같고 다시 하노버 올일 있으면 재방문 의사 100프로👍

Bestes japanisches Restaurant in Hannover.

Ein kleines angenehmes Sushi-Restaurant in der Nähe von Hannovers Hauptbahnhof. Die Karte ist sehr ansprechend und die Qualität der Gerichte mehr als solide. Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren. Und ich werde von nun an öfters da rein schauen, wenn ich in der City Sushi essen will. Danke 👍🏻

Wunderbares Sushi in gemütlicher Atmosphäre! Gern und jederzeit wieder

Ich habe lange nach einem Restaurant gesucht, wo das Essen wir in Japan schmeckt - im Tomo Sushi habe ich es gefunden. Das Restaurant hat einen besonderen Charme, man fühlt sich von der ersten Minute wohl. Das Gastgeberehepaar ist super nett und herzlich, als Gast ist man sofort willkommen. Die Gerichte sind liebevoll und individuell zubereitet und schmecken sensationell. Beim nächsten Hannover-Besuch werde ich garantiert wieder ins Tomo-Sushi gehen. Eine klare Empfehlung mit 5 Sternen !
