One of the worst sushis I’ve ever eaten. Ordered 2 rolls and 1 nigiri. One roll and nigiri came totally different from what I had ordered (nigiri with avocado instead of omelette, roll with omelette and shrimp tempura instead of avocado, surimi and raw salmon). Coke zero had no gas at all and plenty of ice. For 40 EUR I’d expect much more. Don’t go there!

I ate there again after two years. It was delicious back then. This time it was a complete disappointment. I got some of the wrong sushi, and the quality is very poor. A shame. I wouldn't go back, and I personally wouldn't recommend it either.

Today we picked up our order and were very disappointed. The sushi fell apart, there was almost no fish. We ordered on the website, there's a picture, but in reality it's completely different, and this isn't the first time we've been disappointed with this sushi. It's a shame that you pay money and they cut corners on you and don't use the product.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The taste was quite good, but the vegetable gyoza was a bit bland, and the inside-out rolls had a bit too much sauce. The cucumber lemonade, on the other hand, was really delicious. The ambiance is very nice, and it wasn't too crowded.

I've been a regular at this sushi restaurant for years and have recommended it to countless friends. Unfortunately, my last visit with my boyfriend was a complete disappointment, and we won't be returning. The place was at most half full, but the service was chaotic. We ordered our appetizers along with our drinks. The drinks arrived quickly, but the food took a long time to arrive. Although we reordered our main courses about ten minutes later, only one main course for one person arrived. The appetizers didn't arrive for another fifteen minutes. When the gyoza finally arrived, they were still slightly frozen inside and definitely not fresh or homemade. The edamame were full of water and seemed carelessly prepared. The salmon noodles tasted okay; the salmon and vegetables were good, but the noodles themselves were completely unseasoned. The sushi was overall okay, except for the R9 Thai roll, which unfortunately had very bad mango flavor. Even though it was my favorite sushi roll. Additionally, our Coke was forgotten. After waiting for twenty minutes, we finally went to the neighboring store to get one ourselves. For eighty euros, I expect quality and service, neither of which was present that evening. After years of loyalty, I regret to say I can no longer recommend this store. It's a shame.

On Wednesday, July 28, my boyfriend and I went to the restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, our request not to over-drink the sushi with sauce was ignored. Furthermore, our order was brought incorrectly. When I pointed this out to the employee, he spoke to me very disrespectfully. It honestly hurt me to the point of tears. Unfortunately, neither the sushi nor the salad tasted good. Furthermore, when we made our table reservation, we weren't informed in advance that not all cards were accepted as payment methods.

The sushi there was quite tasty. I ordered hot chicken rolls, but they weren't that warm when they arrived at my table. Otherwise, there were no problems. The cocktails there are definitely amazing! They taste really good. Overall, a good sushi place in Hanover!

If you want to eat something other than sushi/fish, everything still tastes like fish. The prices are pretty high, though. Plus, the restrooms were dirty. Those of us who had sushi were satisfied, though.

The gyoza are the tastiest I've eaten here in Germany! The rest is great too! ☺️

My wife and I dined at the restaurant on the evening of July 24th and ordered sushi. The service was excellent – the evening team worked very professionally and with passion. The staff was attentive, polite, and friendly – you could feel their genuine concern for the guests. The sushi was incredibly delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. There was a slight delay in ordering, but the team immediately apologized and responded very sensitively. This further underscored the high standard of service. A big thank you to the chef and the entire team for the warm welcome and the wonderful dinner. We will definitely be back!

Great restaurant with delicious food and good drinks.

First of all: I don't know how this restaurant can have such a high rating. I spontaneously went to Face with my girlfriend today. There were only three other occupied tables in the restaurant. We were given drink menus that looked tattered and worn. There was milk on both sides of the table. Hygiene doesn't look good! There was also a QR code for ordering food. Unfortunately, my phone was dead at the time, so we both had to use one phone. That really annoyed me. The online food ordering platform is confusing. There are far too many items, and the ingredients for the Chef Signatures aren't even listed. We put about €45 worth of food in our cart. Then we accidentally pressed "Back" on the display, and the entire order in the shopping cart disappeared. We were even more annoyed. We then put all the food back in the shopping cart, and then they asked for our table number. There's no table number listed anywhere. Not on the tables, not on the menus, or anywhere else. Perhaps the waiter would have given it to us after we ordered our drinks, but no waiter ever came to take any orders. We had already decided on two cocktails. (And that was with, as already mentioned, three other tables.) After sitting there with no drinks, no waiter, and an unclear ordering system, we decided to get up and leave. We love eating out at good restaurants with a great atmosphere and are happy to spend money on it. But this place has absolutely nothing to do with gastronomy. Learn what customer service is. I'm glad we didn't spend a single cent here and never will.

The food was great, but that was it. We were given menus that didn't have the food on them, just a code that said we should order it online. We did that and waited 30, literally 30 minutes. A friend and I ordered the same portion of sauce for the same price, and my bowl was much, much smaller than my friend's, and of course there was very little sauce. No napkins were brought. Service 0. The food was great, but that was it.

The interior was very nice, and the sushi was delicious. The miso with mushrooms, well... not my thing. We didn't want to sit outside; it's really not that great.

Not sure how this place got such a high rating. We waited for over an hour for the food, and it was alright, but nothing special. Our friend with celiac disease got soy sauce all over their food (maybe common in Germany? I dunno). The vegetarian stuff was below par. Wouldn't recommend unless you're not hungry and don't have any culinary restrictions.

The food was okay, but the service was a complete disaster. There wasn't even any cutlery on the table, and none was brought to us during our stay. The waitresses spoke almost no German, except for the young gentleman, and the women were certainly far from friendly.

We reserved a table for two at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, but it wasn't necessary as there were plenty of free seats. Unfortunately, some of the chairs outside were very dirty. The tables, which are supposed to seat up to four people, are a bit too small even for two people with their food. The male server was quite friendly and accommodating, but the female server who brought the food unfortunately didn't seem very experienced, and her interaction with the guests was...well, okay. The reason we were there in the first place: the chicken and sweet potato fries were unfortunately only lukewarm. The sushi is offered in numerous variations, looks good, and tastes pretty good too. We also thought the prices were reasonable.

The delivery service is an absolute disaster. I've ordered four times now; they can't seem to get the food delivered. Then you call and they tell you, "Sorry, the kitchen's ready," and then they don't even take your order!

Sushi – unfortunately, Japanese only in name The sushi on offer tastes okay, but has little in common with authentic Japanese cuisine – at best, it's a "fusion" version. I find the excessive use of Philadelphia cream cheese particularly irritating. Philadelphia may be in the USA, but it's certainly not in Japan... Given the rather high prices, I would have expected significantly better quality. What was truly disappointing, however, was the service: extremely unprofessional and, unfortunately, unfriendly. Greetings and farewells are nowhere to be found here, and some waiters seem almost invisible. I didn't feel welcome. I found it particularly unpleasant that new dishes were served on previously used plates – that's completely unacceptable for me. The process of ordering via an online menu using a QR code is complicated and didn't really work. The billing process is also anything but professional: instead of a receipt, they simply give you a number, and only after repeated inquiries do you reluctantly receive a proper receipt. Added to that is an unpleasant odor throughout the restaurant, which unfortunately reminds me of a toilet. Conclusion: For me, this was definitely my last visit for the next few years. It's a shame, as the potential is actually there.

Two stars solely for the food; the sushi was really fresh and delicious, and the wine was good too. The service can only be given zero stars. We reserved a table for 6:00 PM, but the reservation book suddenly showed 8:00 PM. Confirming our reservation allowed us to confirm the time. Next, we informed several waitresses that we would wait for a free table. After waiting 25 minutes, despite several tables becoming available, we still weren't seated. When a table became available, we actively asked the waitress if we could take it and were finally able to sit down. The ordering process is poorly organized. Several waitresses repeatedly asked if we had already ordered. Our receipt was also incorrect at the end, and an additional drink was charged. When we pointed out the error, we received a rather unfriendly response. Overall, a terrible experience that we would be reluctant to repeat.

To be honest, I don't understand all the good reviews or maybe we were just unlucky. We ate there with a large group and had a reservation. The tables didn't feel clean, everything was slightly sticky. The food arrived after a long wait and looked really nice! Beautifully presented. But that was it. The duck was cold, the sushi pretty tasteless. The dumplings bland. Overall, a mediocre visit for me and we all felt the same. We sat there for quite a long time, the server didn't come back to ask for drinks and in the end we gave up in frustration. Plus, we were freezing cold... when you're cutting back on heating and your customers aren't feeling well. It's difficult. The place was almost empty too. What a shame.

I hate to leave bad reviews but this restaurant doesn't deserve the high Google rating. Sushi quality is poor, drink menu lacks quality drinks that match with sushi flavor. Especially for the cost, it's better to go elsewhere.

UPD2: Two and a half years have passed, and the restaurant still tries to remove this review, although I am a real customer and have the reservation confirmation and the receipt (see screenshots attached). UPD: Reduced from 2 to 1 star for trying to remove the real review. They mixed up our reservation time, so we had to stand and wait around 20 minutes. Could have been longer, have we not reminded about ourselves. Instead of apology, a not ordered drink on the bill. Sushi was good, but not good enough to compensate for the mess and attitude

In short, the sushi was very tasteless, more rice than others, the chicken in the rolls smelled unpleasant, and the drinks were not carbonated.

I used to really like the restaurant, but the quality of the food has declined. The sushi rice unfortunately has no taste, which in my opinion is what makes sushi so good. The restrooms are terrible; very dirty (both the toilet and the walls). The toilets are slanted against the wall—why? As someone who uses crutches, the bathroom was very difficult to reach (there are no accessible restrooms either). The food looks very good, and with enough soy sauce, it tasted delicious, too. The drinks were excellent. The service was friendly. The interior is nice. Conclusion: Next time I'll go somewhere else for sushi. (:

Yesterday I was there with a friend and the employee Rody was very polite and friendly.

It was really delicious and highly recommended. We paid €35 ​​per person (for sushi), which is expensive but worth it. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and there is a cozy atmosphere. We were a bit afraid beforehand because many people write in the reviews that the food takes a long time. That wasn't the case for us, the drinks came after 5 minutes and the food after about 30-40 minutes, completely normal. (We were there on a Friday evening at around 6pm.)

I've been here a lot and the sushi is really delicious, but unfortunately the waiting times are really long. But I'd still like to come back because the "hot tsunami roll" is really delicious and I've never found a roll like that so tasty anywhere else. Nice atmosphere - candles, dim lights and quiet music. There are a lot of Russian-speaking guys in service. I didn’t find sets with different types of sushi on the menu - for this reason I simply took two different sets.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. After we were seated we weren't even offered the menu as the staff walked aimlessly around the room. When we asked, we were only given the bar menu, which again led to a wait. Eventually we learned that the menu was only accessible via a QR code - but no one informed us of this. In addition, our table was dirty and there was no place to take off our outer clothing. When we were visibly dissatisfied due to the poor organization, the administrator came to us, spoke rudely and literally forced us to leave because the restaurant was supposedly full. A really unpleasant experience.

Food excellent, service nice, friendly and accommodating, unfortunately the entrance area (currently November 27th) was very cold, so we froze at the table. Unfortunately, the toilets (men and women) are not clean and there is no drying facility after washing your hands and probably not provided. Too bad.

The sushi was very tasty. The service was also very practical - you could use the Qr codes on the menu to see what you wanted to eat and order. But for me, as a person who pays a lot of attention to hygiene, it was very unhygienic. Almost all of the chairs were very dirty and there were stains on them that you couldn't analyze what they were. The menu also had soy sauce stains as far as I could analyze. The plates you received still had food crumbs on them. In addition, the restaurant did not smell pleasant. It somehow smelled like greasy food or eggs. So it wasn't very appetizing to have to eat with that smell. However, I found the toilets to be very hygienic and nice. They had beautiful photo corners with flowers etc. in the women's toilet. On the whole I wouldn't come back due to the not so hygienic atmosphere.

Things have gotten a little better since my last visit to Face with chipped porcelain and poor hygiene in the toilets. The service is friendlier and faster and the food doesn't take as long. Nevertheless, the sushi is below average. All urinals in the men's toilets are closed, unfortunately the toilets are dirty and the ventilation could also be cleaned. The sushi is okay. The drinks are a bit too expensive. And has anyone ever seen a 0.3 wheat beer?

The sushi was really tasty and the selection was very large, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. You could easily order the food directly at the table using a QR code, which was practical. However, the starter and main course came far too quickly one after the other - the main course was only served 3 minutes after the starter. The food itself isn't bad. However, the service here is not that good. Payments are only possible in cash or with a debit card. Credit and debit cards are not accepted here. It is 2024 and in the interests of customer convenience, credit and debit cards should be accepted and the customer should not be forced to go to the bank. There are now so many tables inside that you can hardly walk through them. A little tip on the side: Maybe you attach the high shelves to the wall, they almost tip over if you come against them and the dowel on a small, open hanging shelf comes out of the wall.. latently dangerous.. We will go somewhere else for sushi in the future. Price and performance no longer match here.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the service, friendly, quick, everything was good. The menu, which can be accessed via QR code, is gigantic because it is poorly structured. I don't feel comfortable making any statements about price these days, but for the money I would have been happier somewhere else.

Our hot rolls were totally cold and somehow not as tasty as some others. The chairs are all dirty and have stains on them. The glass panes are totally dirty. I do not understand. Why don't you pay attention to cleanliness in such a location and with such an offer? Cleaning chairs is not difficult at all. You should take the time. The menu cards are all stained and dirty. Simply take a dirt eraser and wipe it a bit and you're done. Cutlery wasn't clean either and the glasses were all calcified. If I were a restaurant tester, the place would have failed. So dear owner. Cleaning Cleaning Cleaning. Cleanliness is the be-all and end-all in a restaurant.

Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. We ordered fried sushi and it arrived completely cold. 90% of the waiters don't speak German and as a result the service wasn't perfect. We waited 10 minutes for a fork. Overall, I wouldn't visit Face again. The location was nice - but that was just the only thing nice.

The atmosphere is a nice welcoming location. Big and comfortable. The Singapore Noodles I had, were boring in flavor. They tasted like store bought sauce, low salt and not even lots of sauce. So the taste was mainly pure Glas noodles and the vegetables for itself. The chicken breast was well cooked, not overcooked and actually a big chicken breast. Overall I would say, this dish doesn't fill you up for the price you'd expect of a mediocre restaurant. Service is kinda confusing, yet still fine

I was at the Face Restaurant for the first time today and I am completely satisfied. The waiters ignore you even though they are looking at your face. Drinks only come after the meal and my food came wrong. After my food arrived wrong and I asked the waitress to take the food away. The waitress said that I wanted that, even though I wanted something completely different and I had shown her that on the menu. The staff's mood ruins the ambience and that's why we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

Last night we had our company dinner in your restaurant. Unfortunately we found that we were ignored several times by the staff. They kindly wanted to give us double-prepared food... but when it came to the bill we were blown away, everything was booked double or triple. Since we were manageable, the dizziness was noticed immediately. (450€) We were constantly pressured to pay in cash and we were treated like that for the second time. You can admit mistakes but be completely unreasonable. We won't be visiting this restaurant again in the future.

The sushi tastes really good and the decor is modern and inviting. However, the service is very bad, I'm there almost once a month and the service just doesn't get any better. You can tell that the service staff are not interested and often don't pay attention to what order you place. You will then be served the wrong sushi. I know the job is hard and I fully understand that with a full shop it can be very stressful and you sometimes have to wait longer, no problem at all. But at lunchtime at 1 p.m. there are usually very few guests and the service still leaves something to be desired. It's a shame, because the store really has a lot of potential to be very good!

The comfortable chairs invite you to linger in the decoratively designed restaurant. The service is the big drawback, there is an urgent need for improvement. The cards were immediately placed on the table and then no one was seen anymore. In 30 minutes. Several times someone walked past the table but had no need to communicate with us. After the drinks were finally ordered and served, the food was also taken in, several of them Starters and various sushi variants. Then nothing happened for a long time, so long that the drinks were empty but no one felt the need to take care of the guests, who had now been there for a good 60 minutes. Sitting in the restaurant and only having had one round of drinks so far. With a “loud wave”, meaning both arms outstretched and waving and looking towards the counter, the service then arrived (visibly unenthusiastic). New drinks ordered and demand for the food ordered. Approx. 15 minutes. Later the drinks arrived and the information that due to technical problems the kitchen had not received a bong. But it would be prepared immediately. How you manage to prepare and serve fried rice with vegetables first and then two soups is beyond me. As soon as the soups were served, the rest of the order arrived promptly. There was some sushi that wasn't ordered, but two ordered sushi were missing. After we had sorted everything and complained, we were told that we didn't have to pay for the two missing sushi. At this point we had already been there for 90 minutes. in the restaurant. The food was actually delicious. Unfortunately only a narrow strip of green paste that doesn't deserve to be called wasabi. But a fist-sized pile of ginger for 32 pieces of sushi. Here you should either only put the wasabi on your plate when it goes out or buy better wasabi. The green stuff was absolute superfluous. This experience isn't enough for more than two stars and that's for the nice ambience and the food. The service experience and the condition of the sanitary facilities are in urgent need of improvement.

Basically ok, but unfortunately not good service (but friendly). At first we were not served or asked what drink we wanted. We had to wait a long time for the sushi and unfortunately one order was wrong twice. It can happen, but overall it was just ok.

Everything was great, again and again
