Classic sushi restaurant as is common in Japan. The best sushi in Hanover, quality and authenticity is top class! No chichi but traditional sushi like in Japan. Very friendly service.

A culinary highlight! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You only have to deduct a star for the ambience due to the size. If you don't mind that or take the food with you, you've found your perfect shop here! The food is excellently prepared and the freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite. It was a big surprise for me that exceeded all my expectations. Compared to many sushi restaurants in southern Germany, this is definitely one of the best. I myself ordered a large mixed platter with different varieties – simply brilliant!

Best sushi restaurant in Hannover. Good quality ingredients, amazing food, nice service. Sometimes it is very full and you have to book in advance since it is very small. However, it is totally worth it.

Really delicious, well-crafted sushi, without all the bells and whistles that are offered everywhere. Simply authentic and fresh. Nice service... simply top... clear recommendation without any ifs or buts. Any time!

A little too much money. Little fish, but mostly rice and cucumber. Very small maki. Ants on the tables in the outdoor area. Staff were pleasant.

Some of the best sushi i have ever tried for a very good price. You could really taste the tuna not like in other sushi places. The wasabi is also amazing, it's real, not like that green playdough you get in some places.

We ate at Sushi-Do on Saturday April 13th, 2024. Price performance is just right. All dishes were very tasty, came quickly and the ingredients were very fresh. The only thing we didn't like at all was the location of Sushi-Do. Right on a busy street, in close proximity to the main station tracks and also a very loud (at the time) bar next door.

One of the best sushi shops in Hanover. Small, not super fancy varieties, but great quality and taste. Very nice, hard-working staff. Reservations are a must, even during the week the few places are always full.

If you like good sushi you should go here! Reservation is recommended otherwise there may be waiting times. Really great price for what is on offer.

The sushi was okay, I found the bowls very reasonable for the price. Ambience was constantly disturbed by delivery service providers. There were always drivers standing in the small restaurant and it was extremely drafty because the door was often opened. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes quiet atmospheres.

Incredibly delicious! Even a la kart, the price was completely reasonable. A very tasty miso soup, incredibly fresh sushi 🍣, little rice and very tasty, ripe avocado and fish. I combined both desserts and can recommend everyone to try them out (rice balls + green tea • ice cream). Be sure to reserve! The ambience is original Asian - small, fine, familiar. Thanks!!

In our opinion, the best sushi restaurant in Hanover if you want to eat classic sushi. Starting with the high quality of the basic products, as well as the fish/rice ratio and the price/performance ratio are absolutely consistent here! Our must haves here: small Philadelphia, spicy tuna, sashimi and to drink the Japanese soda, the name of which I can't remember at the moment.

Delicious sushi and chirashi at reasonable prices. The service is friendly. Only the cramped and not particularly comfortable atmosphere and the constant influx of people picking up food marred the overall experience a little. Overall, a very good address.

The very best sushi, traditional. Otherwise there is only salmon, tuna and shrimp, the complete program is available here. Good price, great quality. Be sure to pre-order if you want to pick something up. The restaurant has a few tables, maybe the atmosphere is traditional, but I prefer to eat at home. Definitely check it out, definitely again. Delicious.

We were there on Saturday evening, a reservation a few days in advance is necessary. The waitresses were friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was very authentically decorated. The extremely delicious food arrived within a few minutes. Prices tend to be high, but commensurate with the quality. Only recommended. Edit January 2024: The sushi is still delicious and, in my opinion, traditionally Japanese. There are few dishes, but they are tasty. There is no fried sushi, but there are various Japanese drinks. The moji for dessert was equally good.

Excellent sushi, really great service in a very small and mostly cozy atmosphere. This is probably the best sushi in Hanover. At the same time, the prices are very affordable. Great recommendation!

One of the best Sushi Places in Hanover. Been there today with a friend of mine and we had some Edamame, Nigiri, Maki and Green Tea from a Can. It was delicious and all around nice visit. We will come again. ご馳走様でした Eines der besten Sushi-Lokale in Hannover. Ich war heute mit einem Freund dort und wir haben Edamame, Nigiri, Maki in verschiedenen Sets gegessen und dazu grünen Tee aus der Dose probiert (lecker). Es war generell rundum lecker und ein gemütlicher Besuch. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolles Sushi Restaurant! Das Sushi war super lecker und die Bedienung war super freundlich und auch extrem aufmerksam (mir ist ein Stäbchen runtergefallen - bevor ich mich überhaupt bemerkbar machen konnte um nach einem neuen Stäbchen zu fragen, stand sie mit neuen Stäbchen bereits neben mir). Mir gefällt auch, dass das Restaurant etwas kleiner ist, das macht es irgendwie gemütlicher. Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden mit allem!

Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt! Eine sehr höfliche und umsichtige Bedienung. Wir wurden darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wenn wir in dem von uns bestellten Set einen Tausch der Nigiris vornehmen möchten, das machen können. Je nachdem, gegen was man tauscht, wird u.U. ein kleiner Aufpreis berechnet. Auch darauf wurden wir bei der Bestellung aufmerksam gemacht. Ein wunderbarer entspannter Abend mit einem sehr engagierten Restaurantteam. Übrigens: Der frischste und knackigste Wakamesalat seit Langem! Die Tunfischnigiris waren Klasse...und das lag an der Qualität des Tunfischs! Alle Maiks, Nigiris und Saschimis waren frisch, aromatisch und einfach zum Reinbeißen!

Das japanischste Sushi Restaurant außerhalb Asiens, in dem ich je war! Qualität ist super. Ich empfehle besonders die Varianten, die man anderswo nicht bekommt, wie z.B. eingelegter Makrele (Saba).

Lebhaftes kleines Lokal mit sehr gutem Sushi.

Bestes Sushi und Hannover und Umgebung. Qualitätslevel ist nicht vergleichbar mit anderen Sushi lokalen. Der Service ist auch unglaublich freundlich und höflich. Vorsicht, im Gegensatz zu anderen Sushi Läden gibt es hier keine fancy 0815 baked rolls, die ohnehin nur in die Fritteuse geschmissen werden um vom überkochten Reis abzulenken. Hier bekommt man Klassisches Sushi mit perfekt aldente gekochtem Reis und dazu ein paar ausgefallene Sorten.

Frisch renoviert! Ich habe schon mehrere andere Sushiläden ausprobiert. Hier sind sie am frischesten und am leckersten. Kein fischiger Geruch, schön fest gerollt, einfach gut und lecker, gute Fischqualität! Als Tipp für Preisbewuste: "Sushi-Do Maki" -- gute Mittagsportion, diese ist zwar ohne Nigiri (Fisch liegt oben auf) aber dafür genug zum satt werden. Dabei trotzdem lecker. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Leider gibt es immer weniger Sojasoße pro Portion und wenn man mehr haben möchte, muss man sie bezahlen! Mittlerweile nur noch 1 Tüte pro Portion. 2 sollten es schon sein, dann gibt es auch den 5*. Leider kein Mittagstisch mehr. Nur noch am Abend geöffnet. Dadurch leider für mich uninteressant geworden, da ich in der Nähe arbeite und es praktisch war.

Ein kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit unglaublich köstlichen Sushi. Die Preise sind top und der Service überaus freundlich. Wir haben eine halbe Stunde vor unserem Aufenthalt telefonisch reserviert, das empfehle ich auch. Aus meiner Sicht bisher das beste und frischiste Sushi in Hannover. Wenn noch die Sushivariante mit Lachs, Avocado und Philadelphia auf die Karte kommt, wäre ich persönlich der glücklichste Mensch 😉

Hier gibt es einfach das beste Sushi aus Hannover! Seit Jahren komme ich immer wieder her und es schmeckt jedes Mal richtig gut. Der Laden ist schön klein und gemütlich und die Leute super nett. Ich bin einfach nur happy und zufrieden :)

Tischbestellung notwendig, da das Lokal nur wenige Tische hat. Die Küche ist sauber u einsehbar, eine Toilette ist mit Schlüssel im Aussenbereich zu nutzen. Der Fisch ist frisch, das Surimi außergewöhnlich gut u köstlich. Immer gern wieder!!!!

Pour moi, Sushi-do est une petite trouvaille à Hanovre. Je suis amateur de gastronomie japonaise, et spécialement des sushis, makis et sashimis. Depuis mon arrivée en Allemagne, c’était une plaie de trouver de bons sushis et de bons makis : et depuis que j’ai découvert Sushi-Do, je sais que cela va être ma « ma cantine » à Hanovre ! Les plats sont frais, préparés à la demande (pour moi un critère essentiel) et les prix sont corrects. Seul bémol : la taille du restaurant qui incite à réserver, ou prendre un plat à emporter. Ce que j’ai aussi apprécié, c’est que du personnel anglophone est là, et ça m’aide beaucoup !

Sushi-Do in Hannover. A small restaurant that gives the impression from outside that it is more like a takeaway. Inside is a small number of seating. The staff are very friendly and absolutely helpful. The food is freshly made & you can taste it! Five out of five! I have deducted one star, not to do with the food but the inconvenience of having to go outside and through the alleyway to visit the washroom.

Das Ambiente ist einladend und freundlich. Das Personal sind zuvorkommend und sympathisch. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist perfekt. Wir sind immer wieder gerne da, wenn wir Lust auf ein leckeres Sushi haben.

Sehr einladendes Ambiente mit offener Küche, wo dem chef de la cuisine bei der frischen Zubereitung auf die Finger geschaut werden kann. Alle Speisen auch zum Mitnehmen, gut organisierter Abholservice. Alle Speisen werden vom sehr freundlichen Service detailliert erklärt 🍣 Alle Sushi waren mega lecker! Wir hatten einen bunten Mix aus Fisch und vegetarischen und waren absolut begeistert von Geschmack und Qualität. Die japanische Sushi-Koch Ausbildung des Küchenchefs schmeckt man Sterne verdächtig gut auf dem Teller! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist durch die sehr hohe Qualität und der frisch von Hand zubereitenden Sushi absolut gut. We go for Sushi at Sushi-Do every time we can when in Hannover. It is the best place in the city for Sushi. A big thank you to the staff for still feeding us even when we arrived close to closing time. This place is definitely worth going so do your reservations in time!

Nice Japanese sushi restaurant! Fish are really fresh and tasty, we tried yakitori, miso soup, udon, sushi, mochi, macha ice cream and we really liked it ! A bit more of drink option would be a plus. The place is quite small so it coul be great to make a reservation, or take "to go". I will come back for sure. Best sushi I had in Hannover.
