We always order here - so I can't say anything about the service and ambience but the food is always soooo delicious 😊

Very disappointing here, very long wait for 2 portions of fried noodles with chicken, paid 20€ and unfortunately the portion was more like a child's portion, I thought at first that it was a joke and unfortunately they didn't taste very good, they were a bit too mushy, a pity

I've enjoyed eating at your place for years and have often been recognized as soon as I walked in—which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, things have been going wrong a lot lately. My last visit, I ordered fried noodles, but they served regular ones, almost like they were simply boiled. This isn't the first time my order was wrong, which is a real shame. I hope you pay more attention to this in the future.

The food has always been pretty tasty. However, I ordered noodles and chicken at 8 p.m. on a Sunday and waited almost 45 minutes outside the door. The chicken probably had to hatch and grow first.

The food is pretty bad. The fried noodles were old and overcooked, with burnt spots, and didn't taste good either. The mini spring rolls were also overcooked and half empty inside. I also had soup and sesame balls. The sesame balls were good, but they're always good, really. I'll never eat here again.

Great food, good prices, and kind staff. I really enjoyed the dishes here—flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced for Hamburg. Despite a bit of a language barrier, the team was friendly, honest, and helpful. It’s a casual spot but definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving Thai food.

Tables weren't clean, and there was an occasional strange smell from the restrooms. Staff ranted in Thai about waiting customers and refused to take orders. (It's a good thing they can speak Thai) 🙄 By the way, it took 68 minutes to order, probably due to the sheer number of people/orders. The food was okay.

Extremely disappointing! We were seen by the owner himself and yet ignored for over 30 minutes, without any greeting or information. Only after a long wait were we told that the restaurant would be closing. Such disrespectful treatment of guests is absolutely unacceptable. If you value hospitality, you should definitely avoid this place. Never again!

This is a small restaurant, but it gets quite crowded during peak dining hours. The food has an authentic Thai taste, which I really enjoyed. I tried the vegetable fried rice, tom kha pak, and tofu with garlic and green pepper. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The staff was also friendly and attentive. Definitely a great spot if you're craving real Thai food!

I recently moved to Uhlenhorst and was looking for an authentic Thai person. I once lived in Thailand for 3 months and can only say: I am thrilled! Large and tasty portions - I can especially recommend the Pad Thai!

Excellent food, tastes like in Thailand. The staff are very friendly and warm. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine in an authentic atmosphere. It's not a typical restaurant, more of a snack bar with tables, you order at the counter and the food is then brought to the table. Drinks are self-service from the fridge.

We discovered the Thai restaurant completely by chance during a leisurely walk - and what luck! As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and saw chili being freshly ground - a promising start. The dishes arrived after just 15 minutes and were freshly prepared. I had a rice noodle soup with duck, my friend had a yellow curry with duck. We were blown away by the first spoonful - simply incredibly delicious! The decor had its own charm and gave the feeling of really being in Thailand. The portions were plentiful and the prices were absolutely fair. All in all, an authentic experience that won our hearts. Thank you for this culinary highlight!

Because we always drove past this Thai place, we were very curious as to whether it was also good. After we entered the store, three lovely older Thai ladies greeted us, which for us was the first sign of authenticity. We ordered Pad Thai, papaya salad and beef in chili basil. Everything came quite quickly, but it's true that the portions seem small at first glance. The store really impressed us in terms of taste. There is no Thai in Hamburg who cooks like they do in Thailand except this one. In the end, the three dishes left us so full and at these prices the food is practically free.

Sabajai offers great and authentic Thai street food cuisine. Every dish impresses with its authentic taste and freshness. The service is good, with friendly and courteous staff. We are already regular customers and like to come back again and again.

If you don't want to eat high society, but rather really tasty food, this is the right place for you. We were in Hamburg spontaneously and wanted to walk from the Hamburger Meile to the Mediamarkt. The small restaurant is located right on the street, but the first dish that was outside was already convincing. An older Thai lady who brought supplies convinced me straight away that there would be something really tasty here. Inside there are painted tables at the back and sides. So there is space even in bad weather. We had one of the ladies recommend our favorite meal V9 “fried tofu in green pepper & garlic with rice”. We didn't regret it. It was super tasty with a well-balanced spiciness.

I went there two times with Thai friends and had a great dining experience each time. Portion sizes were generous. We ate in Papaya Salad, Fried Chicken Wings, Red Noodle Soups. Delicious. I also ordered take-away dishes: Chicken cashew nuts, Red curry with vegetables and Fried whole fish with Chuchee sauce. All came with white rice and sumptuous enough for 4 hungry adults. All dishes were fantastic. As a Thai I find the food really respectful of Thai flavors and ingredients. Highly recommended.

Super tasty and very authentic. The curries are European spicy and the prices are cheap. We were here several times on vacation and always tried something new. Everything was delicious and plentiful. But you should bring time in the evening, the restaurant is very popular.

I had a vegetarian meal today for 15 euros including 1 drink and that's either too expensive or not enough for a snack. Especially since the food consisted of rice, tofu and spring onions, so not expensive ingredients.

We have been ordering from Sabai Jai once a week for over 2 years now. The food tastes really good, but unfortunately the portions are getting smaller and smaller and are currently half the size they used to be. Is this due to high demand or increased food prices? But the biggest problem is accessibility! We always order by phone and pick up our food... in the last six months you have to call them 15-20 times to reach someone, even during the week! If you go straight there it will take at least 30 minutes for the food to be ready, so it's no longer any fun.

Authentic Thai cuisine is spot on here. Tasty and also impresses Thais. Price wise. Service corresponds to the character of a snack bar, as does the simple ambience with plastic stools. Holiday vibes immediately arise.

It could hardly be more authentic when it comes to Thai food in Hamburg. Delicious; So everything is made fresh, even the curry pastes. Caution; Spicy is really spicy here, like in Thailand. Can only recommend it. Otherwise a basic cleaning would do some good ;)
