Samui Thai Cuisine in Hamburg

We went to this restaurant for a business lunch and were extremely satisfied. The service is very good and not intrusive. The food was beautifully presented and we all enjoyed it excellently. There were also some free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant to round off this wonderful evening in this restaurant. Many thanks to the nice service staff. We would love to come back.

Most delicious Tom Kha Gai, three huge prawns in it, delicately seasoned, was a delight! Gladly again.

The best Thai in Hamburg. The cuisine is very authentic, the staff is friendly. And they have the traditional mango on sticky rice dessert.

Food was ok for this price level. Nothing really special or exceptional. Mango lassi was excellent.

Everything is delicious and well tolerated

After our fourth visit to Samui Thai, I'm sad to say we won't be returning. What we experienced was anything but the Thai friendliness that we value so much. We had reserved a table for six people and were aware that there would be a two-hour time slot. However, I expect (if time is already limited) that the courses will be served on time. Instead, the food came so late and the table was cleared so late that we couldn't order dessert. When we were still allowed to order after a complaint, part of our order was canceled without consultation and we were presented with the bill directly instead. Communication was consistently poor, the staff unfriendly, and the entire process was disappointing. This impression has led to our friends wanting to eat next door at Tunicis in the future - where we had a successful evening after our visit.

Good decoration, the food is as expected, neither good nor bad. The chicken with rice was a bit tough. It's okay if you don't want to eat at Meile. Reservations are recommended.

Four of us ate here. We ordered a starter, main course and dessert. There was nothing at all to complain about here. Everything was very tasty. The service was attentive and very friendly. We liked it here and would love to come back.

I would vouch that this is the best Thai restaurant in Hamburg. The place is very nicely decorated to the very detail. The food was exquisite! The higher price range was definitely worth it especially considering the big portion. Really enjoyed my dinner time here as we were very well taken care of. Would definitely recommend for authentic Thai food experience :) Note: reserve a table in advance as they’re always full :)

Pad Thai unfortunately not authentic. My meal (No.88) was good though. Portions are a bit small for the price.

Unfortunately not so great. We were particularly dissatisfied with the fact that we only wanted a small plate of meat and potatoes for our dwarf. However, we received a proper adult portion, which was calculated accordingly.

This Thai restaurant far exceeded my expectations! The food was an absolute taste experience - the dishes were perfectly seasoned, incredibly fresh and authentic, as if you were eating in Thailand itself. I would particularly like to highlight the diverse menu, which offers both classics and creative dishes prepared with great attention to detail. Be it starters, main courses or desserts, every dish was a delight! Another highlight is the outstanding service. From the start, the staff was super friendly, attentive and always with a smile. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. The service responded to all requests and the food was served very quickly without the feeling of being rushed. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a restaurant that I can definitely recommend. If you are looking for an authentic Thai taste experience and value first-class service, you have come to the right place. I will definitely come back!

This restaurant is an absolute highlight with its Thai seating area (shoes have to be taken off here). There is something for everyone and the selection is really large. I like to come here with friends when I want to show you something different than a normal restaurant. I would recommend a reservation to everyone.

If Thai, then here. I've been there twice now and I'm always impressed. The food is simply great. Very clean and nicely decorated. The staff, super nice. Prices are completely acceptable. It certainly wasn't the last time.

For me, Samui Thai is the best Thai in town! I have tried almost all Thai restaurants and am always completely satisfied there. The dishes such as rennet, papaya salad and curries in particular are simply unbeatable. If you want to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine in Hamburg, this is definitely a must! The service is top – very accommodating and friendly. And the fresh coconut? A real pleasure! To top it all off, I recommend the sticky rice with mango, which is simply great. The lemongrass tea that I always order there is also fresh and refreshing. A visit to Samui Thai is definitely worth it!

It was my first time here... but definitely not the last time 🥰 There were 3 of us here and we ordered different dishes so that we could all try everything. Sooooo delicious 😋 Vegetarian, fish, meat... perfect balance of spices, great. The service is also great. The price/performance ratio is also okay.

A highly recommended Thai restaurant! The service is great, the food is great and the ambience is just great. I would come back at any time.

There are a variety of dishes to choose from, the seasoning varies and ranges from mild to quite spicy. Good wines are also on offer. The service is always extremely friendly. Unfortunately, there are only a few tables outside and the street is very loud; inside, the air quickly becomes bad when it's full. That's why we often prefer to bring something home.

If you want Thai food in Hamburg, you definitely have to go here. I have rarely experienced such delicious, authentic and courteous staff in a restaurant. Very friendly service and the food is fantastic! There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes and without exception everything I have eaten there on several visits has been excellent! Particularly recommended in my opinion: the rennet tofu as a starter and tofu with chili and Thai basil! Of course also Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Absolute taste experiences! The prices are not cheap, but they are absolutely reasonable for the great quality. I can only recommend Samui because of the great food and the friendly team and will definitely come back!

I ate there with my daughter and friend on my birthday. Both were recently in Thailand. And THE TWO were very enthusiastic. I can only agree with that.

Beautiful furnishings invite you to enjoy and forget about everyday life. Very tasty Thai dishes, which awakened my longing to travel again.

Leider muss ich meine Bewertung anpassen und auf drei Sterne reduzieren. Der Grund dafür: es ist einfach nichts mehr besonderes. Das Essen ist okay, was für einen Preis ab 20 € nicht in Ordnung ist. Wenn man den Thai Tisch bekommt ist es immer noch sehr angenehm dort zu sitzen aber der reguläre Tisch ist klein und wenn man ein paar Gerichte mehr bestellt hat man auch gar keinen Platz mehr zum Essen. (Wir waren zu 4t) Die Bedienung ist nicht geschult mit Problemen umzugehen wenn in dem mittelmäßigen essen etwas unerwünschtes gefunden wird. Leider ist das für mich kein Restaurant zu dem ich wieder hin möchte und keinen unbedingt einladen möchte. Denn die Qualität hat einfach deeeutlich nachgelassen. Drei Sterne hatte sich verdient aber ich gehe lieber zu einem anderen beliebigen Asiaten ab jetzt.

Unfortunately I have to adjust my rating and reduce it to three stars. The reason for this: it's simply nothing special anymore. The food is okay, which is not okay for a price starting at €20. If you get the Thai table it is still very pleasant to sit there but the regular table is small and if you order a few more dishes you won't have any space to eat. (There were 4 of us) The wait staff is not trained to deal with problems if something undesirable is found in the mediocre food. Unfortunately for me, this is not a restaurant I would want to go to again and wouldn't necessarily want to invite anyone. Because the quality has simply deteriorated significantly. It deserved three stars but I'd rather go to any other Asian restaurant from now on.

Booked the restaurant one week earlier and we went on the Sunday night. Restaurant was busy and the service wasn't great, some of the waiters and waitress also not very friendly. Food served was alright, they do have another menu for some other Thai Food. They served the food but they don't provide us cutlery and plate. Tom Yam soup and the fish dish are nicely done. The mango sticky rice is very disappointing, the rice is overcooked soft and blend taste of the mango. Also the Thai Iced Tea, it was way too sweet and not anything closed to the Thai Iced Tea we had in Thailand. Overall, the price is way above the quality and service they provided.

Delicious and many dishes. Something for everyone. The portions are sufficient and you will definitely be full. The restaurant is conveniently located so you can easily reach it by train, bus and car.

We ordered pad Thai, fried rice and papaya salad. The food portions were too small which is very unusual for Thai restaurants as well as their price point. There was too much black pepper in the noodles which is not even an ingredient used in Thai food heavily. The fried rice only tasted and smelled of turmeric which was not cooked well with the rice. Overall, there was no depth of flavor in any of their dishes. The service was great and the atmosphere was very authentic but the food was a major letdown. Won’t be coming back here again.

We asked if it's ok to bring a cake to eat as dessert for a birthday. Ok was given. Next we get the cake from home and after the food the owner comes and is not amused and shows it. Also minced meat is not minced meat, it may just be chopped. Our second visit. First one was fine. Second time not so much. Third time won't happen

Update May 2024: Price has increased enormously and portion has gone down. Service is extremely terrible. Took them 10 mins to get us the menu. And when the dishes are already served on the table more than 5 mins, no cutlery and plate is served. Therefore, the dishes got cold. A big disappoinment!!! I would rate this restaurant as the best Thai restaurant in Germany. They serve really authentic Thai cuisine with the right amount of spiciness. Price is reasonable and service was super good. The pad Thai is a must to try.

Food was great. Communication was a little bumpy. We waited far too long until we could pay. Acoustics are bad when the store is full. Then it is very loud.

4 or 5 stars, it's hard, think 4½. Food good, atmosphere very nice, service ok, menu with a lot to offer. You can't complain. Reservation is an advantage. The prices correspond to the ambience, but are still reasonable.

Upscale Asian/Thai cuisine. The taste was great, with a starter for the main course (1x spicy, 1x not). Rather small menu, but definitely freshly prepared. Pronunciation is sometimes a bit difficult to understand, but those who come here often know how things work here.

Super great restaurant, there is an extra "barefoot" area (without shoes) where you can basically sit without chairs or with your feet in the recessed floor... quite funny. Very nice, considerate staff, extremely well selected dishes, fresher than fresh, my first visit to a Thai restaurant ever and I can only say that we will definitely do it again. It felt like a vacation to us, a completely different but polite, relaxed and delicious world. GREAT SERVICE.
