It was very nice, the food was delicious, and the service was very attentive. All in all, a successful evening. But, as previous reviewers have already written: it's a good idea to make a reservation. Even on a typical holiday day, it was full, 😉 which, of course, speaks volumes about the restaurant's popularity.

Best coconut soup I've had so far. The food was good. Good mango sticky rice. Authentic ingredients in each meal. The atmosphere was great and really nice decor. Good service with friendly staff.

A truly authentic Thai restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Great decor, with a special area for sitting on the floor. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The ladies wear really nice clothes, too. 😍 The food is excellent. In my opinion, they have the best Pad Thai in Hamburg, and I order it every time. The small appetizers, especially the selection of fried specialties, are also highly recommended. The Thai curry was also delicious. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice. One time, the mango was a bit hard, but before that, it was good; that can happen. The price of €7.50 isn't cheap, but it's okay for a real Thai mango. I liked the coconut specialty version even better; I would order it again anytime. I've been there three times, including once with a larger group. It worked very well; the noise level was pleasant, the restrooms clean, and the service attentive. Conclusion: An excellent, authentic Thai restaurant with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and friendly service. Whether you're alone, as a couple, or in a group, we highly recommend it!

A very authentic Thai restaurant in Hamburg and away from the tourist area as well. The food is very well done with good potion, you will be full after this. The presentation also good and worthy of asian restaurant level. The Thai curry is alway nive to have but be aware of the spicy level, the mango sticky rice is absolutely stunning and must try imo. The atmosphere is nice not too loud, normal table and floor underground seat table are both available which I really appreciate. Overall highly recommend this from my personal opinion as an asian.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A true taste experience! Samui Thai Cuisine impresses with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The "Samui" hors d'oeuvres – a great selection of crispy specialties – and the crispy baked sweet and sour duck with fresh vegetables and pineapple are particularly recommended. The fried fish fillet was also tender and perfectly seasoned. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere rounded off the visit. We'd be happy to come back!

Still my fav Thai Place in Europe!!!! Their food is worth every cent you’re spending! I highly recommend the red duck curry and the noodle dishes are also insanely good. It’s the perfect restaurant for any occasion. They also offer traditional seating, so when you make the reservation you should mention that! If you’re gonna eat with older people or people with knee issues, take the normal seating tho… I’ve never seen the restaurant empty, even on a normal Wednesday at 6pm every seat is taken.

A very nice restaurant with authentic food. The dishes were varied and well-seasoned. The menu's spice levels are very well-balanced (at least for me 😜). Therefore, a visit is highly recommended, and I'd be happy to come back. PS: You can also choose how you want to sit, whether traditionally on the floor or on chairs.

Beef was good, duck could be better

The dishes here are delicious and suitable for Vietnamese people :> I have eaten here 5 times and still not bored. Everyone should come and try. Especially the mango sticky rice is very special. But the shrimp salad is not very crispy because people squeeze it too much.

Amazing service and amazing food! Real authentic Thai food in the heart of Hamburg. I always set a high bench mark on Thai food, reason being I’ve live in Thailand in the past knowing what’s good when comes to Thai food. Samui Thai certain up on the list. Service was great and fast although the restaurant was packed! Will always remember Samui Thai next time I visit Hamburg.

We've been there several times now and are happy to drive the 150 km each way to the Samui T C restaurant in Hamburg because it's truly worth it. Since we had the chance to eat at the Blue Elephant in Malta (in the Hilton Hotel) while on vacation, and have had very high standards for and loved Thai cuisine ever since, the Samui Thai Cuisine restaurant is hardly inferior in direct comparison. Incredibly wonderful flavors and the dishes are prepared with eye and heart. The excellent table service can truly be described as such and rounds off the visit to the restaurant. We deserve a 5* rating and look forward to our next visit.

The service was terrible. They left the customer alone for an hour. The table wasn't cleared for the guests. The atmosphere was not cheerful.👎

Very good, authentic Thai food (the restaurant is said to have been certified as authentic by the Thai government). The Tom Ka Gai is expensive at €7.90 for just enough for a soup starter. The Panäng Nüa is the best I've ever eaten. Drinks are expensive. Service seems to be overbooked, and because the restaurant is very popular, advance reservations are necessary. However, there are significant language and communication difficulties over the phone.

This was my first time at Samui Thai Cuisine and I was quite satisfied overall. The duck with vegetables was nicely crispy on the outside, the vegetables fresh and not overcooked. My Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp was well seasoned, but could have used a bit more lime or freshness for my taste. The duck with coconut milk and fruit was something different—slightly sweet, but not overly so. Spring rolls were crispy and not greasy, and the water and cola were as expected. The service was friendly, although it took a while to pay. The ambiance is simple but clean. I'd be happy to come back, especially for the duck.

A fantastic Thai restaurant. They serve delicious food and a great selection of dishes. The dishes are marked with varying degrees of spiciness, but all dishes can be made less spicy or extra spicy upon request. I recommend the "traditional Thai" spiciness setting.

delicious food here. no vegetarian pad thai on the menu, but the restaurant happily made us a great vegetarian tofu pad thai when we asked for it. the curries were also great (we had a red and a green one). a highlight was also the mango sticky rice, which is difficult to find in germany.

Unfortunately, I can only partially agree with the many positive reviews. While the food was good and the staff friendly, the experience was anything but relaxing. Apparently, table reservations are only given for 1.5 hours – far too little time to eat in peace and enjoy the evening. You feel rushed and unwanted as soon as the clock ticks. For me, this isn't a place I'd want to return to.

We haven't had such a good dining experience in a long time. We're from Switzerland and are thrilled with the quality of the food and the staff. We would recommend it to any Swiss resident. Five stars aren't enough!

We couldn't reach them despite calling by phone. We came without a reservation. Although they said the couple in front of us had a reservation, they couldn't find their names but they gave us a place. We said we didn't have a reservation. They turned us away despite us using transportation for 40 minutes to get here. They took a reservation for 9pm. I witnessed them taking the couple behind them even though they didn't have a reservation. When my daughter was crying outside, I insisted and they turned us away again. The restaurant was at most half full. I worked in Malaysia for a long time. We came for our favorite Tom Yam, but it was unacceptable for Thai liker to be rude to tourists while they were opening their doors to Germans. I think you should try Tai Tan. We had chosen it because it was temporarily closed.

We visited Samui Thai Cuisine in Hamburg and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, which immediately makes the visit special. The food was truly delicious – especially the Tom Yam Ta Ley, which was a real highlight with its fresh spice and seafood. The green curry and Pad Thai also completely convinced us. The portions are generous, so you'll leave feeling full and satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive. What a disgrace! I called twice last week to reserve a table for 10 people. They confirmed it to me twice. Because I wanted to let them know that we might be 10 minutes late, I was told that no reservation had been made. We're not from Hamburg and had made a reservation for a birthday. What a shame! If people are treated like that, and they're laughing on the phone while you're beside yourself, then there's no point in going there!

We came in with our dog and were told that there is no available table while the place was 20% occupied. I would appreciate honesty for the future because the restaurant has been on my list to try and as I have visitors often, I like to bring them to new places around the city. There are no sign on the door that dogs are not allowed and were also not told so. Just found this information from another reviewer. I recognized Thai spoken between the hostess. Lying is not a very Thai quality.

The food is relatively good and beautifully presented. However, I do have one small comment: Sometimes the waiters seem a bit inattentive to the guests. Perhaps this is because, when the restaurant is busy, several tables have to be served at once. Otherwise, the visit was fine, and I'd be happy to return.

We ate Pad Thai with chicken, meat was hard and dried out. The waitress who was told this didn't understand because she only spoke English. No price-performance ratio, €20 is way too much. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was generally very pleasant, but the kitchen needs to be improved.

Authentic Thai food in a nice atmosphere with always friendly and attentive service. If I could, I would have liked to try all the dishes. So I concentrated on the classics of Thai cuisine and was thrilled by the aroma and freshness. Undoubtedly freshly prepared dishes with fresh Thai spices and flavors. There were no shrimps!!! Frozen goods.

When the restaurant is full, the staff is busy, so you should be patient when ordering or paying. It is advisable to reserve seats in advance as the restaurant is usually busy. Most main courses are priced at €20 and up. Parking spaces are very rare.

We celebrated my wife's birthday yesterday. It was incredibly tasty, varied and of good quality. The only drawback is that when I made the reservation I already wrote that my wife and I were celebrating her birthday there and I also announced this over the phone. Unfortunately there was no congratulations or anything like that - I would have been very happy about that. Otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended and we will definitely come back.

A very busy restaurant. Despite having a reservation, we waited 25 minutes for our table. This was my second time there and everything is always very chaotic. The service staff are sometimes very stressed. The food is delicious and gets on the table quickly. Special requests are also addressed here.

Immer mal wieder sind wir hier essen, meist wenn einer von uns Geburtstag hat. Mein runder Geburtstag war der Anlass und Abschluss eines schönen Tages. Ohne Reservierung geht hier nichts, es ist immer voll hier. Die Portion ist immer ordentlich und geschmacklich sehr gut. Ich bestellte Nummer 084 Gebratenes Rindfleisch mit Tomaten,Zwiebeln und Paprika. Es hat eine zarte Schärfe und ist gut verträglich. Wir saßen an einem Thai Tisch -Schuhe aus- Die meisten Tische waren um 18:30 Uhr schon besetzt, es dauerte etwas bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde und die Getränke und das Essen kamen. Das fand ich aber nicht so schlimm. Mit Parkplätzen in der näheren Umgebung ist es immer ein Glücksfall früher oder später einen freien Parkplatz zu finden. Ich fühle mich wohl hier auch wenn es immer etwas wuselig ist.

Excellent, flavorful thai food! The massaman and panaeng in particular are perfect. The Thai iced tea is also on point, at least with condensed milk. Not sure about this lime version I personally haven't experience in Thailand, but it may be because the condensed milk option is perfect as is

The crispy baked pork ribs are well seasoned and tender at the same time, I would recommend. The pepper-cilantro-garlic beef is cooked through, little garlic taste, basically okay. I don't think the grilled shrimps on vegetables are worth it for €30, shrimps taste fresh and crunchy, but it's a shame that they use cheap chop suey sauce, no Thai cuisine taste. The service is nice, the atmosphere is also good!

Great evening with even better food. There were five of us and it was our first time eating here. I had the fried beef with chili and basil. The dish was nice and spicy, which I found very tasty as I really like spicy food. The meat was well prepared, well seared and juicy on the inside. As a starter there was also the papaya salad. This was also very good, fresh, good acidity and spiciness. It wasn't quite as tasty as in Bangkok, but it was very close. My friends really enjoyed it too. Since I have tried all of the dishes, I can only agree with them. The service was very nice and accommodating. Always calm and smiling, just like you know from Thailand. The ambience was also really nice. You really feel comfortable. There is a lot of wood, nice decoration and everything is clean. All in all it was a delicious meal. The prices are a bit higher, but it's really worth it and I'll definitely eat here again.

Why isn't my review published? I ate there and it was great!! We really liked it here, the dishes have a very exciting aroma and are extremely well prepared. The service was very friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable and are already looking forward to our next visit. Finally went back today, just shared 6 starters, perfect!

Very nice service The selection is large and there should be something for everyone. Food marked with red chili is “seriously” spicy, green might be enough too😉
