Outstanding food, nice location but the waiter should be removed. We were given two bottles of water without asking for them and he tried to charge us for that. Also he became very aggressive when we mentioned that it should be more visible that you only get two hours if you arrive at 6 PM. If you arrive after 8 PM there's no such restriction. Overall we will definitely come back but ask for another waiter.

Great food ruined by one horrible server. The Asian waitress with highlighted hair basically treated me like I did not exist. She only took order from my German friend and completely ignored me, also Asian, Thai, to be precise. I saw that waitress talked to other customers and taking order from them as usual. I tried to enjoy the food without overthinking; however, when it came to paying she also only spoke to my German friend. She handed the credit card reader to my friend and then my friend moved it to my side of the table since I would pay for it. And again, she also just ignored me. Took back the machine. No thank you. No goodbye. No nothing. At least, another caucasian German waitress said thank you while we were walking out and the other male server was nice. PS, this is not the first time I ate at JING JING. Not sure if there will be a next time after this. What a shame. The som tam dish was on point.

Just super delicious! Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Dishes well crafted down to the smallest detail! You can tell that the chefs here know their stuff very well. It's great that the dishes aren't so huge because you can order more, try and share 🫶🏻 I don't understand how some people can complain here and complain about the price-performance ratio. Don't you notice that they use really good ingredients here and that you even get real Thai herbs here, instead of no herbs or just mint and coriander elsewhere? Anyone who has ever cooked Thai knows how expensive something like that is. So if you complain about price-performance with this quality, then you don't understand anything about quality and should go to the Germanized Thai snack bar. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Hamburg and I am always happy to come back ❤️❤️❤️

Extra plus points to the staff: They were mostly Germans who conjured up authentic Thai specialties, taste better than in most Thai restaurants. So many thanks to the team! It was super delicious, jing-jing (จริงๆ).

Price-performance simply doesn't fit. The portions are way too small. In my main course curry there were 3 small prawns and half a sweet potato, that was it! The Iberico steak was served with raw Chinese cabbage. And there were 4 slices of fish from the salmon starter, so there is more salmon on every nigiri. We as girls weren't full... Taste (coriander and chilli dominates) clearly good but not outstanding either. No recommendation.

We went to Jing Jing for the first time today. Everything was just right. We had a massaman and a red curry, a papaya salad and sticky mango rice for dessert. Incredibly tasty, beautifully prepared and very nice service! We'll be back very soon!

My girlfriend and I had a lovely evening at Jing Jing. Incredibly good food and delicious cocktails. Afterwards you can chill out in the lounge. Really 10/10. Absolutely recommended 💯.

Tastes and impressions are different. Unfortunately, we cannot entirely agree with the predominantly positive reviews. The location is a very interesting and unusual object from the outside. When you enter the property you are greeted warmly. From inside you can tell that a lot has been invested in the furnishings, the bar looks promising. At the table, however, the lighting is directly from above and you are completely illuminated. It is not a friendly light but more like a hospital light or changing room lighting. Given the current lighting concept, the location is not suitable for a date in a cozy atmosphere. Our service person (female) was very cold and just over the limit of friendliness. Maybe she had a bad day, but unfortunately that didn't necessarily create a feel-good atmosphere. There was no consultation with the courts. We ordered the corn fritters in advance. They tasted good. Nothing to complain about. For the main course I ordered the rump steak, 250 grams for 32.50 euros. A proud price. The taste was good, unfortunately the sauce with it wasn't my thing as it contained fish sauce, luckily it came separately. My companion ordered the shrimp curry for 18.30 euros. We were given a bowl of rice. According to the menu, the rump steak came with rice. However, we were not told about it but rather stated it without saying a word. If the curry came without rice, it would be more of a stew and the portion would be quite small. We definitely ordered a portion. I actually planned to toast my birthday there. We didn't like the evening, mainly because of the lighting on the table and the very chilly nature. I still gave a tip of almost 10 percent and the waitress took it as if she had received 50 cents. When I told a Thai friend about the visit, she shared my impressions. She was there a few weeks ago with her husband. Maybe we were just unlucky. However, we visit restaurants regularly and therefore I believe our rating for this location is accurate. But definitely a good evening for a drink. However, we won't come again. The open kitchen and the unusual location are positive.

I can't fully explain the hype, but maybe it's because, as a vegetarian, I'm not part of the target group. The vegetarian dishes are just side dishes, which are indeed delicious, but unfortunately none of the three dishes blew me away. The drinks were good, but unfortunately the dessert wasn't as expected; I've had much better sticky rice. The service was friendly but very inflexible. I won't come back.

Not suitable for older audiences. Resembles a factory hall. Lots of wannabes and snobs. The chicken wings were not cooked through, some were bloody. The beef tartare was very tasty.

Erstmal bekommt man zig mal gesagt dass man nach zwei Stunden wieder gehen muss, Service war ok aber nicht besonders. Die Drinks waren hervorragend, das Essen fabelhaft. Selten so gut gegessen. Insgesamt ein typisch insta-gehypter Laden……teilweise berechtigt. Empfang dementsprechend ziemlich herablassend und bestimmend. Man hatte den Eindruck die müssen nicht nett sein weil die Leute sowieso kommen. Wohl eher wegen der hervorragenden Küche

Das Geschehen im JingJing offenbart eine ausgesprochene Beliebtheit bei den Gästen. Grundlage dafür sind die außergewöhnlich guten Speisen und Cocktails. Damit diese vom Gast optimal genossen werden können, erhält man im Gespräch mit der sehr guten und freundlichen Bedienung beste Erklärungen und Empfehlungen. Ich werde JingJing weiterempfehlen und gerne wiederkommen. Für mich gibt es dort noch viel zu entdecken. Angebot und Service definieren Extraklasse!

The Jing Jing is an absolute No-G0!!! I'm not welcome there and definitely don't want to go back, such unfriendly and very arrogant conditions. As a welcome, I was immediately told that I could only reserve a table for 2 hours. Then the other server came and wanted the drink order. Then he said annoyed that we were only allowed to sit until 8 p.m. after we had only been seated for less than 5 minutes. When we wanted to order the starter, we ordered "Tod Mun Khao Pod" as it says on the menu. Then the operator said that he didn't understand Thai. We were speechless, so unprofessional and very arrogant. Why have this beautiful name for the dish if your people can't read the food? By the way, the text was in German. When my friend arrived, she was asked (or so we felt) to order a drink. She hasn't even been there for 5 minutes. As she frantically looked at the menu on her phone for the drink, the server grumpily said that she didn't have to order if she didn't want to and could have said to come later because she couldn't decide yet! Unfortunately, my girlfriend can't eat as spicy as I can. She asked for an alternative sauce for her Iberio and was given the curry sauce, which meant she couldn't eat it again. The waiter didn't ask if the sauce was OK or better, but only when she was billing was she accused of not touching the sauce. When billing, I didn't hear any thanks and/or goodbyes from them. This is really just a place with Thai food, not a Thai restaurant, not Thai. To feel culture such as hospitality, politeness and patience!!!!!

Very nice, innovative location with outdoor seating - the large open kitchen is well integrated. Great ! The menu is appealing and varied. The starters' clear favorite was the Larp Dip Nua (beef tartare) - even if the white rice chips were anything but crispy - the steamed salmon was also very tasty. Our "mains" curry (chicken) and grill (pork neck) both tasted very good - nothing too spicy and probably the only compromise in terms of taste in the otherwise very authentic Thai cuisine (respect!). Price-wise, perhaps a bit at the upper end of what is acceptable. Service: Even though we received a friendly welcome, the corner counter table that was not available to us ("it's reserved!") remained unoccupied for the following three hours; Behind the counter, the team was mainly concerned with themselves (reminded me of the security at the airport) - and the service staff in the room were trying hard but overwhelmed. It's actually a shame, because the cooking team makes a very committed and highly professional impression and, like the beautiful location, deserves the full five stars.

Anyone who has ever been to Thailand will absolutely recognize the taste here. Very tasty dishes at fair prices. The only thing I would have been happy about was if the sticky rice with mango was more reminiscent of authentic Thai cuisine.

Wird einem beim Hinsetzen auch so suggeriert. Es wird einem extra gesagt, wie lange (oder wie kurz ist wohl treffender) man den Tisch zur Verfügung hat… Würde trotzdem noch mal wegen den Drinks und dem guten Essen hingehen… da darf aber noch etwas nachgeschliffen werden ;)

Stylish shop in the industrial district, unfortunately not enough parking spaces, it's better to come without a car! The cocktails consisted of a good 50% ice cubes, one of two cocktails ordered simply didn't taste like anything, only the coriander leaf distracted! The shrimp dishes (2) can only be ordered with Thai spiciness, the sauce is prepared, you can share it so that it doesn't get too spicy... that's what the service said, unsatisfactory! The corn fritters are delicious, but the coriander mayonnaise doesn't taste the least bit like coriander, disappointing!

The food, although attractively presented, was pretty average, with unusual flavors that didn't really impress. I also found the prices to be slightly overpriced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was ok, but overall it's enough for a one-time visit without feeling the need to return.

The octopus was too firm for me personally, everything else was great!

Der Service ist aufmerksam, das Essen war wirklich herausragend, allerdings sollte man aufpassen und nachfragen, wenn man nicht scharf essen kann oder mag. Einzig der Salty Skin war nicht so lecker, aber das ist ja eine Geschmacksfrage. Der andere Cocktail war dafür 5 Sterne Deluxe 😉

We made reservations online through OpenTable for 9:00 p.m. That worked wonderfully. The service (a young lady) was super friendly and competent. A big thank you for that! The food actually sounded, was and tasted authentic. We had the papaya salad (Isaan style, unfortunately more carrots than papaya, but tasted great), the fish (halved (why??) and unseasoned, the price wasn't right here; but with Thai seafood chili sauce (100% ), the pork neck plus sticky rice (100%), with Leo beer (not every Thai has it, also 100%). The price can be debated, but the quality was very good and the portion size was actually 1:1 like in Thailand. I think that's the "problem" for many guests. Otherwise the evening was good, the music could be made more appropriate (perhaps Thai) and/or turned down a bit at any time with friends!

Wir hatten online über OpenTable für 21:00 Uhr reserviert. Das hat wunderbar geklappt. Der Service (eine Junge Dame) war super freundlich und kompetent. Dafür ein dickes Dankeschön! Das Essen klang, war und schmeckte tatsächlich authentisch. Wir hatten den Papayasalat (Isaan Style, leider mehr Karotten als Papaya, geschmacklich aber top), den Fisch (halbiert (warum??) und ungewürzt, hier hat der Preis nicht gestimmt; dafür aber mit Thai-Seafood Chili-Soße (100%), die Schweinenacken plus Klebreis (100%), dazu Leo-Bier (hat nicht jeder Thai, ebenso 100%). Über den Preis kann man diskutieren, allerdings war die Qualität sehr gut und dementsprechend gerechtfertigt. Die Portionsgröße war tatsächlich 1:1 wie in Thailand. Das denk ich ist das „Problem“ bei vielen Gästen. Ansonsten war der Abend gut, die Musik könnte man passender (vllt. Thai) gestalten u/o etwas leiser drehen. Am Wochenende mit Freunden jederzeit!

The two of us had dinner: Super authentic Thai cuisine and with a very nice interior. We particularly enjoyed the food because it reminded us of our time in Thailand. The service was really very very good. We felt very comfortable. Definitely a recommendation if you want to have a nice culinary evening 🙏🏻

I ordered the 'King's Curry' and, as described, expected a chicken leg. However, in a kind of soup there were 5 small pieces of chicken in it, plus 2 pieces of eggplant etc. So it was really more like a soup. Taste ok, but a lot of curry paste aroma. Really disappointing for just under €19. Service was ok, but unfortunately we got the wrong dish that wasn't ordered, so we ended up having to eat separately, one after the other, because one was returned. A pity! Ambience is quite nice, but unfortunately way too cold. Some other guests had ordered blankets. So it wasn't just us. Unfortunately not again - poor value for money.

Grünes "Curry des Königs" sehr gewöhnlich. Ein paar Stücke von der Hähnchenkeule. Ein paar Auberginenstücke. Thai Basilikum etc. Das war es dann auch. Für den Preis bekommt man absolut mehr Finesse woanders in HH. Daneben Meeresfrüchte Stir Fry - in Ordnung, aber nichts, was einen vom Hocker haut. Unserer Meinung nach. ;-) Ambiente und Hype sind wesentlich größer als das, was dann geliefert wird. Leider.

Fanciges Restaurant mit nicer Bar und etwas lauter Musik. Zu zweit kann man sich noch gut unterhalten. Mit mehreren Leuten wird es schwer. Der Service ist aufmerksam. Das Essen ist gut, die Portionsgröße variiert jedoch von Essen zu Essen deutlich.

Sehr kreative und geschmackvolle Gerichte - Teilen in der Gruppe ist eine gute Idee, um alles zu probieren. Schöne Einrichtung des Restaurants, einziger Minuspunkt war, dass es bei uns am Tisch etwas zugig war.

hallo, das Essen war worklich wunderbar, sehr sehr lecker. Mich hat die Musik gestört, wir konnten uns nur "anschreien", oder zmindest nur mit gehobener Stimme reden. Auch dass man die Speisekarte nur digital lesen kann, fand ich nicht gut. Ich habe mein Smartphone nicht immer dabei und das Handy meiner Freundin war fast leer..... das vom Personal angebotene Tablet hatte kein Netz.... Ein paar Speisekarten wprden nicht schaden, gerade ältere Menschen haben auch manchmal gar kein Smartphone. Ansonsten von der Einrichtung sehr gemütlich, auch die Bedienung ist sehr nett gewesen

Das Essen und das Ambiente ist gut. Aber ich finde,es wurde etwas unlieb in Emailleschüsseln serviert,alles einfach gehalten wie in Thailand,nur deutlich teurer. Geschmacklich lecker. Und was etwas unsympathisch rüber kommt,ist die Art der Reservierung ,und dass man direkt am Anfang gesagt bekommt,dass nach zwei Stunden der Tisch wieder frei gemacht werden muss für die nächsten Gäste. Das macht für mich keinen guten Eindruck,weil es wie eine Geldmaschinerie ist. Etwas schade drum,alles andere ist sonst gut.

The starter with the hamachi was particularly tasty, a great combination. The pad krapao and sea bass were so good too. Price-performance suits me. We sat in the next room and the music was very loud in terms of volume, but I liked the beat, I think it gives a good vibe.

Die Drinks und das Essen waren top, allerdings waren die gegrillten Tintenfischringe und der Oktopus etwas zäh. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend, die lebhafte Atmosphäre und der Service war spitze! Sehr gerne wieder.

The staff was very friendly and answered our questions about the food competently. In my opinion the prices are high. The taste was really great. Ich mag das Jing Jing. Eigentlich. Der Laden ist sehr hip, das Essen ist in der Regel sehr gut und oft was besonderes. Es gibt aber ein paar Kritikpunkte, die mir bei meinem letzten Besuch aufgefallen sind: Der Laden ist wirklich sehr laut. Die Musik ist für meinen Geschmack schon zu laut, was auch zu lauten Gesprächen führt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, aber jetzt hatte ich das Gefühl, zu weiteren Drinks gedrängt zu werden. Das Essen: In der Regel ausgezeichnet. Der Wasserspinat z.B. wirklich eine Wucht, ganz, ganz Lecker. Ich hatte jetzt aber das Königscurry - was nicht schlecht geschmeckt hat, aber wirklich ganz schön trübe aussah. Fleisch: Grau. Soße: Grau. Geschmack: ok, aber auch nicht komplett was besonderes. Und wir hatten extrem laute, sehr betrunkene Tischnachbarn. Klar, die haben sicherlich auch gut Umsatz gemacht, aber so herumkrakelt, ohne das jemand vom Restaurant was gesagt hat, dass ich mich sehr unwohl gefühlt habe. Also: Das Jing Jing hat Licht und Schatten. Nicht umsonst ist es regelmäßig ausgebucht. Aber man muss auch wissen, worauf man sich einlässt. Coole Location, freundlicher kompetenter Service uns sehr leckeres Essen und außergewöhnliche, leckere Drinks

Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Portionen allerdings überschaubar. Vom Ambiente etwas wie eine speak easy bar, im Hinterhof zu entdecken, dann steht man plötzlich mitten im lebhaften Lokal. Service ist umsichtig, die Cocktails sehr gut, die offene Weinkarte allerdings überschaubar. So gibt es auch keinen offenen Rose Wein. Leider auch hier sehr laute Musik, die ein Gespräch schwierig macht, wir mussten uns fast anschreien zur Unterhaltung. Hier wäre meine Bitte an das Jing Jing für dezentere Hintergrundmusik zu sorgen. Alles in allem originell- für das ruhigere Nebenzimmer kommen wir gerne wieder
