Great concept on the subject of potatoes...tasty food that makes you happy.

Highly recommended and excellent service

Wasn't that great It was very loud in the restaurant. The waiters were arguing/quarreling… Food: the medallions with lemon sauce were not tasty, weak and the meat was dry and bland...for the price it was nothing!

Paid a little over 100 euros with 5 dl of wine which was very good. Starter, main course and dessert for my girlfriend We had the soup and the salad which really had a lot in it. The Wiener schnitzel is nicely sautéed with veal and an entrecôte as the main course. Finally, we took home the tiramisu with speculoos

Nice restaurant and very centrally located. We made a special reservation and called about it. Celiac disease and lactose intolerance and carefully studied the information on the card. “No problem at all,” they said. Things look a little different on site. The selection for Zöllis is very limited. There is no dessert for them. There were 6 of us sitting at a decent table and the service was OK. All in all, we imagined the evening to be a little different. As a person with celiac disease AND lactose intolerance, it is not easy to find a place to eat that offers fine dishes and has a certain selection. Life has become more complicated ...

Sometimes the food is ok, sometimes it's great. We always enjoy coming here. The great Knolle is our next choice when our other two favorite restaurants are already fully booked.

Very child-friendly and always feels like a mother-child meeting, which is absolutely not a bad thing! But the conditions always leave something to be desired... mostly very unfriendly and impatient!

Excellent restaurant. Went to the restaurant as a group to eat together. Everyone ordered a different dish. We were all thrilled. The quality of the food was very good. Price/performance is definitely a good ratio. Definitely worth recommending.

Always happy. Sometimes the service is a little slow and you occasionally wait a little too long for the food. But the dishes are always good.

I tried the onion roast. As ordered, it came medium. But unfortunately, in my opinion, the right piece of meat is not used for the roast. It was not tender and partly dry.

Meat wasn't as ordered, beans were cold, 2 meals were not served and were sent back and had to pay full price despite complaints!! Not customer friendly. Never again!! Are very disappointed! It's a shame about the money

Was soll man von einem Kartoffelrestaurant erwarten? Viel mehr, als was der Name aussagt. 17:30 Uhr ohne Reservierung - keine Change. Aber das Personal ist flexibel und so war ein Tisch bis 19:00 Uhr verfügbar. Super. Kartoffelrahmsüppchen als Vorspeise - eine tolle Erfahrung. Kartoffel-Brokkoli-Gratin war lecker, die Knoblauchkartoffel - Patatas Bravas ebenso. Allerdings sollte man wissen, was die Gewürzmischung Patatas Bravas beinhaltet. Ich hatte dies nicht auf dem Schirm und wurde somit von der Schärfe überrascht. Aber geschmacklich ein besonderes Erlebnis. Wir können diesen "Kartoffelladen" nur weiterempfehlen.

If you like potatoes, this is the place for you. Friendly service, good potato dishes, slightly more expensive.

So an absolute disgrace. We waited over an hour for the food, other guests got the same food before us and came after us. When we asked the waiter about it, he showed ignorance, no understanding and said "yes, 4 minutes". He said that 30 minutes before. If you also pay 30 euros per dish then I would like to give it -5 stars.

With gluten-free dishes on the menu

We didn't have a reservation, it was 7 p.m. and very busy. A friendly waiter welcomed us and we were able to choose between two tables. We chose one that had just been abandoned by guests. It was quickly cleared and cleaned. Ordering and serving meals went quickly. We had pizza and gnocchi. Both very tasty and large portions. We had the rest packed up. Ate here for the third time in recent years and have always been satisfied.

So this evening we come to this restaurant for the third time to eat because we eat well there even though it was 9:45 p.m. The angry waiter throws the TPE at us while we ask him for the bill. And if we go after it, it gives us a big SUPER arm of honor. This is how we say goodbye in Germany, so I would rather recommend the restaurant. THANKS

We were on vacation and found this very nice restaurant where everything revolves around Grumbeer (Palatinate term for potato 😁). Very friendly service staff. Food was super tasty and freshly prepared. This restaurant is highly recommended and we will eat there again when we are on holiday on Lake Constance. I had gnoogi with pumpkin and my wife had the baked potato (quelled in Palatinate 😉). Highly recommended.

It's a shame that people have turned away from good artisanal cuisine and turned to mass-produced food.

Wir waren zusammen mit unseren 3 Kindern da… neben 2 Pizzen gab es Kartoffelpuffer, einen Salat und Rösti Berner Art mit Schinken und Champignons… es war alles mega lecker 😋 und die Bedienung war sehr nett und kompetent ( alles im Kopf gemerkt ! und alles korrekt zugeordnet!)

FRECHHEIT! Hier werden Gutscheine auf ein Jahr begrenzt und zwei Monate nach Ablauf des Jahres nicht mehr angenommen. Rechtlich gilt eine Verjährungsfrist von drei Jahren! Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin!

Schnitzel was good, vegetables too, only it was a bit dry, no sauce... The fried potatoes were soggy and too fatty... Price for a pork schnitzel was also expensive... Others had potato pizza, it was good... And potato pancakes with spinach , that was more of a joke... Potato pancakes weren't homemade, looked like they came from a discount store... So mixed experience, but it's ok

During our visit to Konstanz we had dinner at the Tollen Knolle. It is a slightly different restaurant and offers an extensive range of potato-related dishes. Our food was very tasty. Our waiter was super friendly and accommodating, always with a nice saying and very quick. The prices are very fair and reasonable for the quality of the food. We can happily recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely great offer and variations on potatoes. Just something “different” than the standard restaurants you find in city centers. The staff is super friendly - the prices are very fair. We will definitely come back on our next vacation. Thank you for a great afternoon and a great meal.

zum Abendessen dort: Service war freundlich; am Anfang/bis zur Bestellung liessen sie sich Zeit, dann ging alles sehr speditiv; Essen war lecker, aber für meinen Geschmack Gemüse etwas zu gar und insgesamt etwas zu fettig, aber trotzdem noch gut

Food was excellent. Children's schnitzels were great. My wife got 3 breaded fish fillets. Price performance absolutely top! Service was very friendly. We'll be back next time we visit Lake Constance.

We ate pizza. Pizza was quite large and generously topped. There was supposed to be potatoes in the pizza dough somehow, but we couldn't taste it! And for €16.99, it's definitely too expensive.

Food great. The price is a little higher, but the portions are quite large. Pizza was great, schnitzel was delicious, as were baked potatoes, rösti and potato pancakes. The plate dishes e.g. garlic potato patatas bravas (not cooked small in a bowl with lots of salt like in Spain) with chicken too much fat on the plate as well as with the fried potatoes. Maybe it's just being emptied from the pan into the plate

We've rarely eaten so deliciously, the staff is very quick and friendly.

So if you can't find anything on this great menu, you've come to the wrong place at "Tollen Knolle". Very nice and attentive service. The guests are a mix between tourists and locals. The location at Bodanplatz is busy but not too noisy due to annoying cars. gladly again

We would have liked to eat something. Reservation only possible by telephone. Unfortunately, despite three calls, no one answered. Too bad. Missed the chance for a good review.

I think it's great that so many people had such a GREAT experience at this restaurant. Yesterday the 5 of us wanted to have lunch there, unfortunately there was no room for 5 people at that moment, we were asked to wait a moment because some of them would leave soon and a large table would become available... well after a good 35 minutes we still got it no table but in the meantime several groups came and got a place to eat. The waiters totally ignored us.

Food very, very tasty, portion size optimal (filling, but not stuffy), service perfect (friendly, unobtrusive, attentive, learned!), prices absolutely reasonable - if everyone were like that, I would eat out more often!

Unfortunately very disappointed. The service was good. A friend of mine ordered a steak medium and it was a well done steak. After complaining several times, the chef himself came and said it was medium. It wasn't but ok. It's a shame it won't come back.

We really enjoyed our visit. Except for the annoying vesps, which the great tuber can't help with, everything was to our satisfaction.

We, two adults and three children, were there twice. Ordering food and drinks was quick and arrived without a long wait. The food was delicious and any special requests the second time around were catered for. In terms of price, I think they are the same as all restaurants today. Eating out with three children is no longer as cheap as it used to be. You probably have to get used to it. The restaurant is well located in the old town. Our waiter was very, very nice and friendly. If we travel to Konstanz again, this is definitely a safe bet if you want to eat something good.

Creative idea to offer (almost) all dishes based on potatoes. Large selection, great dishes, everything very tasty. Salads fresh and crunchy, waiting times manageable despite being busy. Sufficient staff, service attentive and friendly. We were lucky even without a reservation and got a free table around 7 p.m. Prices on par with a holiday resort. The location near a main street alone is not ideal, everything else justifies another visit.

Kreative Idee, (fast) alle Gerichte auf Kartoffelbasis anzubieten. Große Auswahl, tolle Gerichte, alles sehr schmackhaft. Salate frisch und knackig, Wartezeiten trotz guter Auslastung überschaubar. Ausreichend personelle Besetzung, Bedienung aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten auch ohne Reservierung Glück und gegen 19 Uhr einen freien Tisch bekommen. Preise auf Niveau eines Urlaubsortes. Allein die Lage nahe einer Hauptstasse ist nicht optimal, alles andere rechtfertigt einen weiteren Besuch.

Restaurant de pdt, en centre-ville, pratique; accueil quelconque et impossibilité de réserver, on nous dit simplement de venir pas trop tard pour une attente minimale. Le service est correct sans plus. nous choisissons des escalopes panées, bien sûr. C'est copieux, les escalopes sont bonnes par contre les légumes qui les accompagnent sont vraiment .... dégueulasses, juste cuits à l'eau sans rien. En dessert panna cotta et glace fraises, le tout avec une pils et un verre d'Hagnauer Burgstall blanc. Le tout pour un peu lus de 81€, c'est vraiment moyen.

When the weather was good, we ate well in the outdoor restaurant and at reasonable prices. Service was friendly even when the house was full.

We ate there for the second time. Service top. Prices too high for what you get. The taste is quite good but not excellent. Children's portion ordered very little noodle but paid in full. Therefore it was our last visit. Where else do small children get a small noodle portion on the house?
