We were recommended this restaurant. The service was great – very friendly and fast. There were six of us, including a baby. The food was okay. The fries were really tasty, the pizza was so-so. The hash brown dishes are highly recommended. A lovely evening – we had fun.

We arrived during lunch time when it wasn't so crowded, had 2 snitzels. Definitely the turkey one is the best choice. Atmosphere and service was great. Would visit a second and third time definitely. They had a smaller meniu in English but it was nice of them to have it

We stumbled upon it by chance and it was so delicious that we went there twice. The outdoor chairs could use some cushions, but otherwise the food was incredibly delicious. The service was very friendly and even accommodated special requests. I would eat there again in a heartbeat.

The Gugelhan is an excellent restaurant offering a wide range of delicious dishes to suit every taste, along with fresh drinks, in a cozy atmosphere. The value for money is excellent; the service is excellent, friendly, and attentive. If you're not hungry, you can simply enjoy a beer—or two.

A friend recommended us to eat here with six people. Our first impression upon entering was: you feel at home here! Wonderful, cozy, quaint, and timelessly decorated. Very friendly staff, a great selection of food and drinks. The value for money is excellent; we even chatted personally with the owner; you simply feel at home here, and it's a must-visit on our next trip to Konstanz! A truly wonderful atmosphere!

I'm usually skeptical when a restaurant offers everything: burgers, pizza, grilled chicken, tarte flambée,... Something must be wrong, I think! Who can do everything equally well? Well, Gugelhan did the burgers! They were really good – I can definitely recommend them. Service was good too. The terrace, which is also a street, wasn't that great. But it was a fun spectacle to watch everyone driving in and out of it.

The beef burger was not recommended at all. The meat was definitely not 100% beef; it was as tough as a shoe sole. The burger buns were cold. Overall, it didn't taste good at all.

You can eat very well here, the Balkan cuisine is particularly good. Flammkuchen and Rösti are the hits. It's nice to sit outside in the car-free city center

I ordered a Wiener-style schnitzel and was served a breaded schnitzel that was much too thick and had a sticky breading on it. The fries were probably fried for the second hundredth time with the same oil because they were really brown and hard and, in short, inedible. The dish was also pretty carelessly arranged with fries and the schnitzel slapped on top. The Schnitzel Wienerart is about as far away from a real Viennese style schnitzel as Konstanz is from Vienna. So for all those who have a robust canteen-tested stomach and don't value good food, this restaurant is just right.

One of my favorite places in Constanta. Generous portions, delicious food, friendly staff and a very characteristic place with a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I always take everyone who visits me there to try Rösti and so far everyone loves it. (However, the slot machines take away a lot of the magic and historicity of the place. They should at least be "hidden")

I had a very good meal with friends. From the ambience to the service, everything is very good. Unfortunately, the selection sounds and looks so good that you would like to try more, but that will definitely follow again. For me I can say the chili burger was very spicy and the patty was also of very good quality.

Came across this restaurant by chance via a Google Maps search. It was a stroke of luck that everyone was thrilled about. I really liked the atmosphere when I entered the restaurant. You feel comfortable there. The dishes (can only judge the pizzas 🍕) are very large and taste very good. So, I can only recommend it!

Very unfriendly service, bad ambiance, horible food

The place has its own character, which makes it interesting. We like to eat well-seasoned food and usually don't skimp on salt, but unfortunately the Rösti and the Wienerschnitzel were too salty. Even if a menu salad was served with it, the price/performance was not convincing for us.

The opening times on the internet are not correct.

Disappointing. I made a reservation for 6 people 2 weeks ago which was confirmed by email and again the same day by phone. When I got there the waiter told me that the kitchen was closed and there was no room. They have neither apologized nor sought a solution. We had to leave at 10pm to find somewhere else to have dinner. Here is the photo of the reservation. Nowhere on your website does it say that the kitchen closes and I was not notified by phone either.

Very well located, with very good decoration and very good Italian cuisine. We were in a hurry and they served us quickly and well. Quality/price ratio, it was the best we found.

The schnitzel there is very tasty and the portions are nice and big. The pancake with Nutella for dessert was unfortunately cold but otherwise tasted good.

We enjoyed staying here often and often. Until suddenly the prices for 10 Cevapcici exploded. For a family of 4, 80 euros for cevacici to take away is a shame.

It was my first time there and I can highly recommend the Allgäuer Schnitzel. One of the tastiest schnitzels with perfect cheese spaetzle that I have ever had. My partner's ground beef steak was also very tasty and the portions were huge. We were full for the rest of the day. We would be happy to come back when we are in Konstanz again 🎉

The restaurant was completely full, Advent time. There were two of us who hadn't made a reservation, but we were still warmly welcomed. After 10 minutes we had a table to share with other guests, which we didn't mind. Unfortunately, the starter came too late after we had already received the “chef’s steak”. The service noticed this and kindly asked us if we still wanted the starter. We said, well… actually, better not. That wasn't a problem, the starter wasn't included in the bill either. Responded professionally. We had an excellent meal, the steak was really very tender (and I'm critical of meat!) and the side dishes/sauces were plentiful. The place was sociable, loud and fun. Just right for us and we would love to come back.

We came without a reservation and luckily we got a seat at the counter. The place is poorly ventilated and a bit stuffy. The food came quickly and tasted fantastic! 😀😊 The staff could smile a little more, especially the female waitress this evening (Saturday) and be attentive. We recommend the restaurant... just make a reservation beforehand! 😇

The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere. We picked it because it was one of the few places open for lunch after 14:00. The flammkuchen was delicious and enormous, but unfortunately the pljeskavica was nothing to write home about. All in all, a good lunch.

Actually, I just wanted to go to the toilet for a moment. But the people there were so nice and the atmosphere here was so great that we spontaneously decided to eat there. Really good atmosphere there. We had 2 pizzas which were very tasty. Simply recommended all around.

He comes to the table and asks if everything is okay, and when we criticize the food, he turns his back and leaves without a word, without listening to the end. Now the food, choose the Balkan cuisine was a mistake (two mixed meats for two people and cevapi). In order not to go into details, I will shorten each component individually: Skewers - toasted (burnt on one side) Chicken-dry, desiccated Toasted sausage Cevapi - burnt on the outside and slightly raw on the inside Burger as well as cevap. And side dishes, baked potatoes ok but grilled vegetables not processed or flambéed or grilled, sad. And finally, I cannot leave out the quantity and the price. All this with 5 drinks (beer and jaggery) €150 I'm really sorry I can't attach pictures. My last visit, a disappointment

The food at Roter Gugelhan was excellent! The dishes are authentic, hearty and full of flavor. The Ćevapčići and the grilled meat skewer were particularly well prepared. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also ideal for larger groups - there were twenty of us and everything worked out great! If you love Balkan cuisine, you should definitely visit this restaurant in Konstanz.

La domenica a Costanza si presenta con il centro molto carino e praticamente vuoto, negozi chiusi e poche tracce umane. Nelle viuzze della cittadina trovi questa locanda, ambiente magnifico e servizio ai tavoli ottimi, un grande grazie alla ragazza e all'uomo (di cui non so i nomi), perché nonostante il menù fosse solo in tedesco ci hanno aiutato e consigliato ottimamente. Piatti abbandonati e contorni azzeccati. Consiglio la griglia.. sulla pizza (da italiano) eviterei.. Duft von Deutschland!

One of the “underrated” restaurants in Konstanz. I think it's very cute and the atmosphere is right. The burger is tasty and the portion is fair. All in all a recommended restaurant. I think there is something for everyone and therefore an enrichment in Konstanz. Priced okay too. When it's full it's a little loud but that's not unusual. You'll be sitting a little tight, so be careful with dogs!

Looks dirty. Coke was stale and warm. Beer tap broken, so our beer came from an unknown source. We then decided not to eat anything here. It is not possible to pay with card for less than 20 euros! Service tries to be friendly.
