Original, good middle-class cuisine. We enjoyed it.

The food is delicious, the ambience is probably a matter of taste, but I thought it was great, reservations probably make sense.

Quaint, casual establishment with casual, friendly service, I go there once a year when I'm in the area for work and have never had a bad meal there. I'll definitely come back👍.

Disappointing. I made a reservation for 6 people 2 weeks ago which was confirmed by email and again the same day by phone. When I got there the waiter told me that the kitchen was closed and there was no room. They have neither apologized nor sought a solution. We had to leave at 10pm to find somewhere else to have dinner. Here is the photo of the reservation. Nowhere on your website does it say that the kitchen closes and I was not notified by phone either.

Very well located, with very good decoration and very good Italian cuisine. We were in a hurry and they served us quickly and well. Quality/price ratio, it was the best we found.

The schnitzel there is very tasty and the portions are nice and big. The pancake with Nutella for dessert was unfortunately cold but otherwise tasted good.

We enjoyed staying here often and often. Until suddenly the prices for 10 Cevapcici exploded. For a family of 4, 80 euros for cevacici to take away is a shame.

It was my first time there and I can highly recommend the Allgäuer Schnitzel. One of the tastiest schnitzels with perfect cheese spaetzle that I have ever had. My partner's ground beef steak was also very tasty and the portions were huge. We were full for the rest of the day. We would be happy to come back when we are in Konstanz again 🎉

The restaurant was completely full, Advent time. There were two of us who hadn't made a reservation, but we were still warmly welcomed. After 10 minutes we had a table to share with other guests, which we didn't mind. Unfortunately, the starter came too late after we had already received the “chef’s steak”. The service noticed this and kindly asked us if we still wanted the starter. We said, well… actually, better not. That wasn't a problem, the starter wasn't included in the bill either. Responded professionally. We had an excellent meal, the steak was really very tender (and I'm critical of meat!) and the side dishes/sauces were plentiful. The place was sociable, loud and fun. Just right for us and we would love to come back.

We have been coming to the restaurant off and on for 11 years. The service is always very friendly and attentive and the food was always delicious! The kitchen works very quickly and we never had to wait long for our food.

There is only one sentence to say, once you have been there and eaten, you will never leave this restaurant again. A unique atmosphere that you have to experience... See for yourself. We came without a reservation and luckily we got a seat at the counter. The place is poorly ventilated and a bit stuffy. The food came quickly and tasted fantastic! 😀😊 The staff could smile a little more, especially the female waitress this evening (Saturday) and be attentive. We recommend the restaurant... just make a reservation beforehand! 😇

The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere. We picked it because it was one of the few places open for lunch after 14:00. The flammkuchen was delicious and enormous, but unfortunately the pljeskavica was nothing to write home about. All in all, a good lunch.

Actually, I just wanted to go to the toilet for a moment. But the people there were so nice and the atmosphere here was so great that we spontaneously decided to eat there. Really good atmosphere there. We had 2 pizzas which were very tasty. Simply recommended all around.

Now the food, choose the Balkan cuisine was a mistake (two mixed meats for two people and cevapi). In order not to go into details, I will shorten each component individually: Skewers - toasted (burnt on one side) Chicken-dry, desiccated Toasted sausage Cevapi - burnt on the outside and slightly raw on the inside Burger as well as cevap. And side dishes, baked potatoes ok but grilled vegetables not processed or flambéed or grilled, sad. And finally, I cannot leave out the quantity and the price. All this with 5 drinks (beer and jaggery) €150 I'm really sorry I can't attach pictures. My last visit, a disappointment

The food at Roter Gugelhan was excellent! The dishes are authentic, hearty and full of flavor. The Ćevapčići and the grilled meat skewer were particularly well prepared. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also ideal for larger groups - there were twenty of us and everything worked out great! If you love Balkan cuisine, you should definitely visit this restaurant in Konstanz.

La domenica a Costanza si presenta con il centro molto carino e praticamente vuoto, negozi chiusi e poche tracce umane. Nelle viuzze della cittadina trovi questa locanda, ambiente magnifico e servizio ai tavoli ottimi, un grande grazie alla ragazza e all'uomo (di cui non so i nomi), perché nonostante il menù fosse solo in tedesco ci hanno aiutato e consigliato ottimamente. Piatti abbandonati e contorni azzeccati. Consiglio la griglia.. sulla pizza (da italiano) eviterei.. Duft von Deutschland!

One of the “underrated” restaurants in Konstanz. I think it's very cute and the atmosphere is right. The burger is tasty and the portion is fair. All in all a recommended restaurant. I think there is something for everyone and therefore an enrichment in Konstanz. Priced okay too. When it's full it's a little loud but that's not unusual. You'll be sitting a little tight, so be careful with dogs!

Looks dirty. Coke was stale and warm. Beer tap broken, so our beer came from an unknown source. We then decided not to eat anything here. It is not possible to pay with card for less than 20 euros! Service tries to be friendly.

Good price and huge portions, nice staff, nicely decorated. They have a pizza oven which makes the pizzas unbeatable and the schnitzels are also excellent.

Bon accueil pour ce restaurant situé dans une petite rue. Notre choix s’est porté sur des roestis ( l’une avec escalope de dinde l’autre bacon œuf au plat). Plats bons et copieux, une salade de crudités servie avant le plat chaud. Service rapide pour une addition de 50€ avec un soft chacun. Proposition sur la carte également de tarte flambée, soupe, viande et pizza.

The food was fine and served pretty quickly, but the impression was completely spoiled by the incompetent waiter. First, he mocked us when we asked if they have a pot of tea and made an inappropriate comment about it. Then, he didn't bring the bill for 25 minutes although I specifically asked to bring it right away as soon as the food was served since we had to catch a train afterwards. And lastly, they forgot about our request to pack our food for takeaway. Since we had to head off for the train, we couldn't wait even more for it. And no apology followed. I wish I didn't leave a tip at this place.

So far we have always been very enthusiastic about the food at the red Gugelhan. Unfortunately, last time we were a bit disappointed because the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza and the minced meat in the burger wasn't cooked through.

Quaint restaurant, we had reserved for 14 people and were called again the day before if we were coming. We had a separate area for us, which was nice too. I ate the Gugl salad, with “surprise”. This was probably due to the fact that the salad was rather small. I wouldn't have been full without Gockerl from next door, and I often eat a salad/meat combination. The Guglhan was well attended, the waitresses were very friendly, but we probably won't come back a second time.

We had dinner at this restaurant in the afternoon today. Very flexible, we were able to eat warm at 2 p.m. The service was very friendly. My wife had a tarte flambée. We hadn't even eaten so well in Alsace. I had the Bosnian meat plate which was very tasty. We will definitely come back.

We had reserved, unfortunately the time was written down incorrectly, but after a long time we got a place. Ordering drinks and food was quick. Food is very tasty, there is hot sauce for the pizzas, please use it carefully. Since we were sitting outside we were a bit unlucky to order drinks.

Went there for dinner with 6 people. First impression: Great ambience with great attention to detail. Service: First contact with the service after a long waiting time: Sobering because they were short, annoyed and unfriendly - it was full, but we've had a much better experience. Drinks took forever (15 minutes+) to reach the table. Food was served at different times - the last plate came when everyone else had already finished. When I asked, the only answer was - I forgot, not bad 😳 Eat: Far too expensive for the quality offered. Chiliburger: Old soggy bun, Not a minced patty, but some thawed discount Cevapcici mix, fries made in old chip fat - inedible and also objectionable. A replacement dish was grumpily offered, which was fine (flambée). Jägerschnitzel was offered on the menu as a breaded pork schnitzel - unbreaded turkey steak was served with cold fried potatoes and fries like with a burger. When the turkey schnitzel was ordered, breaded pork schnitzel came - when spoken to the landlord, he simply said snidely that he had been doing gastronomy for 30 years and that couldn't be the case, even though there were still schnitzel and fries on the plates and the deficiency was clearly visible - unnecessary and annoying Discussion. We will definitely never come to this store again - Konstanz has much better alternatives to offer...

What I really can't understand is ; How is it possible that the store is always so full!! Frozen hamburgers for 16 euros; Fries fried with a lot of salt in old oil... Schnitzel 100% not freshly beaten... charged 21 euros for that... it's forbidden

Never had such a bad burger. Very cute restaurant, waiter was nice too. But unfortunately the burger went back. The meat tasted like it had been thawed, then refrozen and then left to die in the fat.

Generic, dubious meat and frozen fries. Burgers and fries in particular are super easy to cook at home, it's a shame that poor, ready-made ingredients are used here. (Especially for €17+ for a burger!)

On pizza day (Monday) I had the Berlusconi pizza. It was way too much ham for me. Unfortunately I couldn't taste the dough, the sauce and the mushrooms. For the price it was okay because it was filling, but much too expensive for the original price. My companion had the chicken with fries. Here, too, the price for half a chicken is far too expensive. Unfortunately it didn't look much, just put fries and half a chicken on the plate. Proud price for that :)

The food is really great, but the service leaves a little to be desired, you almost have to shout energetically that you want something more to drink in order to get something.

Went to the Gugelhan for the second time yesterday with my parents and we were absolutely not disappointed. Everyone had ordered steak from the hot stone and at first you think that's not much. But don't be fooled, the portions fill up even my father ^^. Of course you can't afford this every week, as the dishes on the hot stone are a bit more expensive, but the quality is good! We even ordered a salad in advance and received extra fresh small rolls from the waiter. I'm assuming it's the owner who served us. He was extremely nice and had a sense of humor. We can definitely go back!!!

We celebrated my mother's birthday in this restaurant. We were very satisfied. The quality of the food was at a very high level. The food was fresh and tasty. We also liked the service, the staff was very friendly. It is a very cozy and beautiful restaurant with its own history.

The atmosphere is very cozy. But our table, which was reserved and therefore empty, was completely dirty. The schnitzel was good, but unfortunately the spaetzle wasn't. Just like the stuffed minced meat cakes. Pressed together meat (or something else, I couldn't tell!) looked like it tasted. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the restaurant, but we won't be going there again.
