I liked it. I had spaghetti aglio olio and it was nice and spicy, even when dente. I also liked the garlic in it. But I couldn't socialize for three days afterwards, so I smelled like garlic. They use oil pickled in quantities, not fresh.

Fits! Interesting location where a lot of wood was used for construction. Inside you sit on two floors, outside on the terrace. The pasta and sauce were very tasty, the salad was refreshingly varied, and the service was uncomplicated, attentive and quick.

We can only recommend it. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff is excellent. Get your own impression. I think you won't be disappointed. Update: I celebrated my 60th birthday with around 20 guests and we were served and entertained extremely attentively and perfectly. Many thanks to the service and kitchen. Update 2024: Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio has deteriorated extremely from 2024 onwards. This took place well beyond the VAT increase and the portions also became smaller. Very unfortunate...

I pre-ordered "Special Grilled Vegetables" today, September 22, 2024/3 p.m. It was very punctual, conclusion after a 5-minute journey, pizza burnt, totally bitter, cold and hardly any toppings for € 16.90. I have never experienced such insolence.

I've been here three times, but the third time on October 1st, 2017 was catastrophic. I reserved a table for two people and arrived on time. A lady at the counter showed us a seat, but didn't bother to go. This one didn't sit there Reserved because there were still glasses standing around and there was no cutlery available. We waited about ten minutes. During these ten minutes three waiters came by who didn't pay any attention to us and didn't take the glasses with them. We then went in without ordering anything I was at another restaurant where we were served very well. When we went to tio rustica they wished us a nice Sunday. We won't be back any time soon. It's a shame. 22.2. Bartender very unfriendly to regular customers and arrogant, he acts as if he were the owner. Respectfully, regular guest

Very, very tasty food. Unfortunately, the shortage of skilled workers is noticeable here, although the conditions are nice and polite.

Family dinner, it doesn't have to be so stuffy. So to Rustica. Loud, confusing, busy, but that's normal on the weekend. Actually quite nice on the inside (a mess), narrow on the outside and a camping atmosphere. Then we waited a long time for service and got a salad and starter before the drinks, which we didn't want, but there was a lack of understanding from the staff. The toppings on the pizza were different, but not a problem. The pizza maker was sweating so much that we were worried that he would sweat into our food. But we only noticed after eating. So much confusion, nobody knows what to do. There's no way we're going there again. Bad, chaos, disgust!

I remember the food itself as being quite good, but the time forecast for pick-up meals can sometimes be so inaccurate that the pizza isn't even in the oven when you arrive shortly after ETA. Annoying for anyone who doesn't want to wait another 10+ minutes.

Price explosion and drop in quality. That's how you can summarize it. The TIO in Erlangen has been a good address for decades, in the center like the "Rustica". Recently everything has changed. In addition to horrendous price increases, the quality is subpar. I have rarely eaten such a bad steak. The pasta dishes were also tasteless. Only the quality of the pizzas is somewhat stable. The Capi at Tio was the best in the world, without exaggeration. And now? As elsewhere, in the west it consists only of crushed ice. Sad.

Overall a good place with a varied menu and the possibility of eating light things, the location outside is a bit sacrificed. Variety of Italian wines, excellent service.

I looked on Google and it had a rating of 4.2, so I thought I'd give it a chance, but I wish I hadn't. We got up before we were full, I paid 70 euros.

Very nice restaurant even if we didn't immediately recognize it from the outside. Here we were missing a bit of signage about what the restaurants at Vasade normally do. Pizza top plenty of toppings. Salad OK

Unfortunately, the pizza base is very soft and not crispy apart from the edge. Tastes are different... maybe someone else likes it soft. Service was very nice.

This has never happened to me before. First of all: My pizza was very good, hence the two stars. Everything else was torture. As an excuse, one can say that there was a lot going on that day. We waited 15 minutes before we could order our drinks. I pointed out the bottle of Lugana that was advertised at the entrance. After another twenty minutes the bottle was brought to the table with a wine cooler. It wasn't poured and she left the table straight away. It wouldn't have been possible to pour it because the bottle was still closed. I called them to the table again and was told that I should just unscrew the bottle. I made it clear that this bottle has a cork. So she took the bottle with her and showed up after five minutes and put the bottle back in the wine cooler. I poured us a glass and then noticed that the wine was at room temperature. Completely annoyed, I took the bottle, which had a hefty price of 29 euros, and told her that it wasn't refrigerated. The answer I got was that they didn't have any chilled ones and that's why they gave us the wine cooler. I was so perplexed that I had to wait an hour until the wine was halfway to temperature. Finally: My companion specifically ordered a pizza without onions because she couldn't tolerate them. To cut a long story short: the pizza was loaded with onions.

We had a business dinner there, and it was wonderful. The service was awesome, and the beer was tasty.

Nothing special, it was OK. Ate pasta. Making carbonara with cream is also a crime against humanity.

Very clean and delicious food!!

I’ve been to Tio’s many times even though their pizza is just okay. Eventually, I decided not to go again, but we had a work party two weeks ago and ordered from there, and I finally found a pizza that was superb! In fact, the Pizza Teatro was so yummy, I went again last week with a friend, but unfortunately, I was again disappointed. The pizza didn’t taste great and I realized it had almost no cheese on it. When I lifted the toppings, I could literally count the individual pieces of shredded cheese on the pizza. I politely complained and the waitress - who was sweet as sugar and totally wonderful - kindly offered to throw a little more cheese on and put it back in the oven a little longer. But a few moments later, a very aggressive waiter explained that for hygiene reasons, they could not take my partially-eaten pizza back to the kitchen. This is very understandable, but the pizza really wasn’t good so I opted to wait for them to make another. I was told it would take 20 minutes. He rather rudely suggested twice that I order extra cheese next time. I told him I shouldn’t have to pay extra for there to be a normal amount of cheese on my pizza. He argued with me that the Teatro has many toppings so sometimes they reduce one or two toppings so it isn’t too much. But let’s be clear: the cheese is not a topping! A pizza consists of dough, sauce, and cheese, everything “on top” of that is a “topping”. The cheese is not something to be reduced. Not ever. But he continued to argue his point and tell me to order extra cheese next time. No apology whatsoever was offered except by the very kind waitress. I waited almost 40 minutes for my new pizza and then it came with so much cheese it was almost un-chewable. Pizza is my favorite food and very rarely disappoints. I always say “even the worst pizza is still pretty good.” It has to be really bad for me to complain, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. There will be no reason for me to order extra cheese next time because there will never be a next time.

Good pizza in a nice atmosphere

An Italian restaurant which has a very large interior room. The terrace is pleasant. The food is okay and the service is efficient.

I celebrated there with 20 people. I had very nice contact with Jolly in advance of the meeting. There is no such thing as impossible. Everything was perfectly prepared, the food and drinks were very good. Particularly noteworthy is the high number of non-alcoholic cocktails. Jolly looked after us perfectly throughout our stay. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back soon. Many thanks to Jolly and the entire team.

I really enjoy going to Tio Rustika because it has everything you could want. At lunchtime, for example, enjoy a cozy cappuccino on the large terrace in summer with a piece of cake or pizza and pasta. In the evening there are also mega delicious cocktails... the Aperol Spritz is simply a dream 🩵 I also love that there are so many non-alcoholic options. It's not possible, it doesn't exist, if a cocktail isn't on the menu you can still make it at the bar and it tastes simply excellent. And if you don't feel like Italian cuisine, you can also order steak or fish,... just cool, everyone can find something to suit their taste. And little tip! The pistachio tartufo is just so incredibly good I think it's really cool that the kitchen is open so late, you can eat a pizza and drink a cocktail before going out to party 👍🤗 I'm always happy at Tio, the entire team is so attentive 🩵 Thank you

Ich habe dort mit 20 Personen gefeiert. Schon im Vorfeld hatte ich zur Besprechung einen sehr netten Kontakt mit Jolly. Geht nicht gibt’s nicht. Es war alles perfekt vorbereitet, Das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr gut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die hohe Anzahl an alkoholfreien Cocktails. Jolly hat uns auch über den gesamten Zeitraum unseres Aufenthalts perfekt versorgt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt bald wieder. Herzlichen Dank an Jolly und das gesamten Team.

We had dinner there yesterday. The staff was very attentive and tried hard, always asking if everything was okay. We felt comfortable and satisfied. However, the food is quite greasy.

The ambience is great, but overall it's unfortunately no longer what it used to be. Unfortunately, the taste of the food didn't impress us and especially not at the price.. Soggy inside and so much arugula that you can no longer recognize the topping underneath.. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Drinks were brought to the wrong tables, customer requests were forgotten and we had to wait forever for the cashier and the hospitality receipt. There was also a football game that was broadcast at full volume and unfortunately made a cozy dinner impossible. We sat here for 2.5 hours for two courses. Bring time...

Not what it once was. Used to be here regularly and loved it. Now too many guests are being let in and there are too few staff. Long waiting times, the last ones got their food when the first ones were already ready, super stressed and unfriendly staff. The pizza was very tasty, but eating out itself was rather frustrating :(

Update: unfortunately no longer recommended. Just in time for January 1st, 2024, the prices were increased, and more so than just the old VAT rate. A vegetable pizza here costs €16.60! At the competition around the corner 11€. In addition, in our last pizzas, a whole pizza was inedible because it was completely burned. Original review: If the menu were to be revised, then it would be 5 stars again! We actually really enjoy eating here. But what has been bothering us for a long time is the lack of variety on the menu. There are almost never vegetarian (or even vegan) dishes on the changing weekly menu. Actually just black tiger shrimp. More than half of all salads(!) contain meat or fish, and vegetarian pizzas are in short supply. Once in the summer we had pizza with antipasti, which was very tasty. These can now be put together upon request, but then for a corresponding surcharge. Put it on the regular menu - antipasti won't be more expensive than meat and fish in the mixed calculation. If a breath of fresh air is brought into the menu - preferably in the form of vegan and vegetarian dishes - then it will happily be given 5 stars again. Dare! Because the staff and beer (Steinbach) are top!

Very solid pizza and other Italian standards.

Since we live in the immediate vicinity, we have been your customer for many years. But since yesterday the desire to visit Tio has disappeared. There was a hair in the fish plate. The waitress took it away silently and there was no reaction. Don't say a word. The quality of the food has deteriorated. The drinks are good. We came without an appointment. Seats were available as of 6:00 p.m. It is very noticeable that there are fewer customers. We went to a new Italian restaurant nearby for dessert. It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorite places.

Food is always very good. The service is always very friendly and attentive. Children's playground at the house right next to the terrace. We always enjoy coming here and are exceptionally satisfied.

Im Außenbereich machte es nicht so viel her. Innenbereich 2 offene Ebenen, kann daher etwas laut werden. Die Holzofenpizzen gut belegt, aussen knackig aber innen etwas zu weich. Mit 14 € an der heutigen Obergrenze angekommen.

We always enjoy getting our pizzas here; they are prepared quickly, have good toppings and both the dough and the crust are wonderful. The pasta dishes are also highly recommended.

Very tasty food with a very large selection. Everyone gets their money's worth here. When the weather is good you can sit on the terrace, but there is also a lot of space inside on two levels. However, it can get a bit noisy if there are a lot of people there, as the floors are connected by an open staircase. The employees are all very nice and accommodating. The decor is really nice and I look forward to my next visit. (Unfortunately there are only a few parking spaces available directly in front of the store)

Italian cuisine in a saloon atmosphere with lots of wood with lots of pizza and pasta dishes. The quality of the food is good, the staff is friendly. Free parking nearby within walking distance. In summer there are also tables outside.

Wir haben hier mit Freunden einen netten Abend verbracht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, Getränke und Essen wurden schnell serviert, die Pizza und die msieten Nudelgerichte lecker - ABER: Die Spaghetti Carbonara war ein kompletter Reinfall. Hier wurden Spaghetti in einer langweiligen Käse-Sahne-Soße serviert, welche mit vorgefertigten Speckwürfeln angereicht war. Hier muss der Koch bitte nochmal in seinem Kochbuch nachlesen. Carbonara ist ohne Sahne - aber mit Eigelb! Der Speck wird nicht aus der Tüte geholt, sondern langsam in Öl ausgelassen, usw. Ich hätte mir es schon denken können, als eine schneeweiße Carbonara an den Tisch gebracht wurde - von Eigelb keine Spur.

Company Christmas party. The food was initially antipasti, which were distributed on plates to the tables. Then different types of pizza and pasta (also vegetarian) are also on the tables, so for self-service. Everyone enjoyed it. The restaurant was packed and there were a lot of staff. Kudos to Tio Rustica! By the way, Google, I was here for real, along with 80 colleagues. Feel free to publish my review instead of not posting it online.

So we were just in this restaurant, the waitresses should be replaced IMMEDIATELY and COMPLETELY... we ordered a starter and a main course for 4, 2 pizzas and 2 pasta, unfortunately the pizzas didn't make it to the waitress's hearing, so we sat there without Eating after we asked if the pizza was already being made. The waitress didn't know. She wanted to take care of it and let us know. 5 minutes later still nothing. My husband went to the kitchen and the pizzas had just started to be made even though my Husband said to her if it's not in progress then we don't want it, that means they weren't in process and they would simply be forgotten or not included .. very and incompetent and the worst of all not honest .. the best for last I went there twice to eat and left without eating both times

Was there for the first time today and ordered a pizza cabrese to take away. When I got home, I didn't see any basil. I tried it - no garlic. The pizza didn't taste like anything and the fresh tomatoes completely softened the pizza base. I didn't eat the pizza - it's a shame...

Pizza is delicious but also quite expensive

There were three of us there, it was very crowded and therefore very loud. The pizzas are delicious, but some of them were a bit very salty.

Food and drink portions for the prices are a joke... We enjoyed being there for a long time, but from 2024 we will probably part ways.

Hurray, hurrah, René is back!! He's finally back in our favorite restaurant and so are we 😎 Friendly, attentive, always open to his guests, simply "on the ball" - that's how we know and love Tio Rustica, with our René at the helm! No matter whether it's delicious pizza or fine pasta, definitely try the homemade chilli and garlic sauce, wonderful! For dessert we treated ourselves to two delicious cocktails, recommended by René and - as expected - a hit!! Especially now in summer it's really fun outside on the beautiful terrace 🌞 Absolutely Top!!

Wenn man reinkommt denkt man erstmal, schön. Aber als wir am Platz waren, konnten wir uns kaum unterhalten so laut war es. Die Pizzen waren teils ganz schön verbrannt. Dann wurde auch noch ein Kellner von einem anderem Kellner äußerst auffällig zurechtgewiesen, fanden wir nicht so toll.

I'm actually a convinced Tio fan. Pizzas are very tasty, nice atmosphere and always great service. But now raising prices AND making the pizzas smaller at the same time is... well. Then you just think twice. As we all know, the competition never sleeps... What a shame.

Richtig gutes Essen, nette Bedienungen.

Obwohl ein Tisch resv. War mussten wir warten und haben dann einen Tisch im Eck bekommen. Nach 2 Stunden warten und mehrmaligen nachhaken ist das Essen nicht gekommen. Laden war leer man hat sich lieber unterhalten als bedient! Pizza war am Ende nur halb belegt und brachte mich mit Durchfall auf Toilette! Nie wieder!!

Schönes Lokal am Rande von Erlangen. Es erstreckt sich über 2 Stockwerke. Das Ambiente ist schön anzusehen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und kümmert sich um Nachschub. Für Kinder habe ich selbst nichts gesehen, man sollte also etwas mitnehmen 😉 Ich habe Pizza gegessen und kann nur sagen das diese sehr lecker war. Der Rand schön knusprig, der Belag gut abgestimmt. Der Preis ist für Erlangen angemessen. Toiletten sind sauber. Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Ich wünsche einen guten Appetit 😊

Zum Mittagessen waren meine Frau und ich hier. Wir bestellten eine geteilte Pizza und einen gemischten Salat. Die Pizza und der Salat schmeckten uns sehr gut.

Good atmosphere but terrible food. 1)First of all if you hang an Italian flag in front of the door, please don’t serve any pizzas with ananas. 2) pizzas do not fit to the plate so it makes very hard to eat. 3 ) I guess the dessert that they serve under the name ‘tiramisu’ should be called cream (sahne) Tiramisu because no where in the world has that much of cream in a Tiramisu.

Ich wusste ja, dass die Preise überall gestiegen sind und habe auch Verständnis dafür...aber das meine 14 jährige Tochter von einer Portion Spaghetti nicht satt wird, weil auch die Portionen geschrumpft sind, dass finde ich doch sehr enttäuschend.

Die Pizzen sind sehr gut. Das andere Essen war ok, aber nicht „sehr gut“ - eher mittelmäßig. Die Atmosphäre ist nett. Das Restaurant ist laut und warm. Der Service muss im oberen Stock immer die Treppen rauf und runter und wirkt dadurch manchmal etwas gehetzt. Das ist auch sicher sehr anstrengend.

Verstehe garnicht, wieso das Resturant so wenig Sterne hat. Super schönes Local, super leckeres Essen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Gerne wieder😊
