The food was brought to the table quickly. The rigatoni and eggplant were delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive.

Despite the small staff, the service was fast and friendly. The pizzas were huge and delicious, although some of the lemonades were overly sweet or sour.

The food here is really delicious even the portion size it good. Would highly recommend 😊❤️

We were at your restaurant in Erlangen this evening. What particularly struck us was the very friendly and prompt service. I asked for her name. Her name is Antonia Köhler. We give her an A+ because she was very attentive and asked us several times whether we were enjoying everything and whether we wanted anything else, without seeming pushy.

Not a recommendation. The ambiance and children's menu are good, but the pizza is sticky, the banana nectar has chunks, the toilets are dirty, there are no towels, and the service is spotty. It's a shame! The good reviews come from the fact that you get a free drink.

We ate here last year on the recommendation of our hotel. The pizzas are huge, so we shared one this year. This meant we also had a dessert, which was also delicious. The Locanda is located in the heart of Erlangen, right on the market square. The prices are perfectly reasonable. If we're ever here again, we'll definitely come back. I don't understand the concept of this restaurant. I go to a restaurant to eat pizza—not to tame an oversized rag of dough. I ordered a completely normal pizza as a single item from the menu (the size isn't specified there, by the way). I was served a roughly 50 cm "family pizza" on a 30 cm plate. Result: The pizza overhangs, drips everywhere, and you don't know whether to eat it or constantly wipe the table. For a first date, it's more of an invitation to make a mess. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't a win either: greasy cheese that overwhelms everything—more like cheese fondue on yeast dough than pizza. And after just a few bites, you'd had enough, and the rest lay on the table like a memorial. And the pasta? Broken spaghetti in carbonara sauce, on the level of a "student kitchen" because they couldn't find a suitable pan for it. The taste was more like a shared apartment for men. My conclusion: If you want to share a giant pizza with your roommate for a small price in a nice atmosphere, this might be the place for you. However, if you expect quality Italian cuisine, you should urgently look for alternatives. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment for me – 2 stars for the location, not for the food.

The salad for €15: a joke. The table: sticky. The pasta: who on earth is supposed to get full on that? But the highlight of all was the "Neapolitan" pizza! A pizza like this is characterized by its special crust, with a fluffy, airy crust. The "Neapolitan" pizza here is made from a crust reminiscent of whole-wheat bread. Not airy at all! There was so much dough to chew that you couldn't even taste the topping. That's if it had been completely covered.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The pizza was truly exceptional – thin, crispy crust with the perfect balance of fresh, flavorful toppings. What really surprised me was the selection of German beer – a perfect complement to the meal. Ice-cold, smooth, and refreshing. It’s not every day you find an Italian spot with such a great beer pairing!

The location is great with a very nice atmosphere inside. Speciale pizza is huge and very tasty, the Napoletana is like you are in the middle of Napoli. Tiramisu, the best I had in the last years.

The pizza is delicious, which is why I keep coming back. The service is unfortunately abysmal. Even with a small number of customers, the wait times, just to order, are unreasonably long. Some days, I get up and leave after waiting 10 minutes.

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Erlangen. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the food was comparatively not as good. The bruschetta bread was burnt, as was the pizza dough. The bruschetta was also piled high with cheese. Not exactly what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. Overall, the pizza was delicious. But for the price, you'd expect more.

I was there with my students with intellectual disabilities. The staff was extremely courteous and very accommodating. The food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

I recently visited the Locanda restaurant and ordered a tuna pizza—it was simply delicious! The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was cooked to perfection. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortably furnished, making you feel at home right away. Overall, a great experience—I'll definitely be back!

The reservation worked out great, the service was very nice, unfortunately towards the end because of more drinks. I had spaghetti vongole, a mini portion with way too much pepper and you couldn't taste any of the mussels.

We spontaneously stopped by Locanda for dinner today. The service is terrible. You wait at least 20 minutes for a menu, and then it takes forever for someone to take our drinks and food. Our order came after about an hour, but they forgot our bread, and after that, no one bothered to attend to us. We had to get a waiter to pay. Sorry, but I've never experienced such poor service anywhere else. The staff isn't equipped to keep guests happy.

Enttäuschender Besuch an einem schönen Sommerabend im Außenbereich, Service war überfordert, da zu wenige Bedienungen alles machen mussten, es dauerte einfach zu lange bis ich mal mein Getränk hatte, mein Salat kam auch sehr spät, geschmacklich war der Salat mit Putenstücken auch nicht das Wahre, er bestand überwiegend aus grünem Salat, bei dem sehr viele Strunkstücke drin waren und viele dunkle Blätter, die Croutons schmeckten wie Zwieback, Putenstücke waren sehr wenige drin. Alles in Allem nicht zu empfehlen. Da die Preise eher gehoben waren erwartet man schon, was qualitativ Gutes zu bekommen, zahlen musste ich dann an der Kasse, weil die Servicekraft nicht kam. Geh ich nicht mehr hin!

Due to the warm weather (June 21, 2025), only the tables outside were occupied. There were five of us (including one toddler) sitting outside in the afternoon. Not all tables were occupied. Nevertheless, we had to wait 45 minutes for drinks. About 10 minutes later, the food, consisting of two pizzas, arrived. We were about to leave. Apparently, there were too few or inexperienced staff on duty. The drinks counter was unmanned throughout the entire wait. This probably explains the long wait. Drinks only arrived after we asked for them. A real shame. This is certainly due to a general lack of staff or qualifications. However, there are restaurants that certainly also struggle with these problems, but are doing better.

Yesterday, we waited 50 minutes for a pizza and two portions of pasta. The table next to us arrived 20 minutes later and got their pizzas before we got ours. The food didn't arrive at the same time and wasn't warm. When we left, the table was still full of our dishes.

The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, you immediately feel welcome. My Rigatoni Bolognese was excellently seasoned and perfectly prepared. Gladly again :)

If the weather is good you can sit outside here very nicely. Inside there is a small play area with toys for smaller children. The staff was super friendly. The food is good. And the pizza is super big. The restaurant is recommended.

Update: We were at Locanda again, and this time they actually had the monthly special. This is the second time we've been there because of the vegan monthly special, which is advertised on the website. Both times, they didn't offer it. There's no vegan dessert either. We had already pointed out to the staff after the first visit that it's confusing when the website says something different than what's actually on offer. A few months later - the same situation. Apart from that, the food is really good, and the pizza portions are especially generous.

I waited over an hour for a pizza that cost €15. I don't think there's anything more that needs to be said.

I didn't find the Margherita tasty, but it was okay at best. From the ventilation system, there was a very unpleasant smell of rotten eggs that was sometimes unbearable.

We wanted to have a drink outside on the terrace on a sunny day, but no staff came outside to take our order.

We had salmon noodles, spicy salami pizza and bruschetta. However, I only enjoyed the bruschetta; unfortunately, neither the pizza nor the salmon pasta were to my liking. The salmon noodles were very salty, partly due to the use of smoked salmon (unfortunately not fresh salmon) and the pizza was unfortunately also average at best. However, I have to say that we have a relatively high standard of food.

The store has become incredibly bad. Quality of the ready-made pizza with plastic ingredients = grade 5! Where is the Locanda from 9 years ago!? A tragedy!

There are large pizzas here - unfortunately only a poor service staff, which made the stay longer... but all in all good. Personally, I would have liked a little more spice, but that's a matter of taste

We were the first in the restaurant with 16 people. Until the waitress came, it seemed like three days of rainy weather, it felt like it took forever to place our order, and delivery wasn't any quicker. When we were eating, some people had already finished their pizza and others hadn't even had their salad yet. The restaurant has a children's menu especially for children, which we thought was great, but the implementation was such that the children got their food last. As if that wasn't enough, pizza isn't hot and all the glasses were dirty. The toilet facilities hadn't seen a cleaning specialist for a long time.

Friendly staff, even if our telephone order for collection was misunderstood. Unfortunately, the pizzas are not recommended, they were burnt and had such thin toppings that they ended up completely dried out.

Crying baby, service was absolutely bottomless. We got our salad and pasta after 40 minutes? Since when does it take 40 minutes to make salad and pasta? Then our drink wasn't prepared properly (caipirinha) we just drank sugar straight because it wasn't mixed? And then the food was just cleared away ??😭😭

The canteen-style restaurant is located directly on the market square. The menu is well structured, with the emphasis on pizza and pasta. The pizzas are huge, if you like something a little smaller you can even share one, which means you can even get two different halves, or you can take the Roman pizza, which is a little smaller. There are also pasta and starters - although the composition of the large antipasto plate reminds us more of a fusion version with its raw peppers and Camembert than the original. The fact that you don't get bread or antipasti at an Italian restaurant is also a rather un-Italian peculiarity. All in all, we missed the Italian friendliness and, despite large portions, somewhat the quality and taste of Italy.

The ambience was also appealing and created a pleasant atmosphere - at least until I visited the toilets, where the light unfortunately didn't work. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Although it wasn't particularly busy, the service seemed overwhelmed and took a disproportionately long time for small things. This spoiled the otherwise good impression. The lack of hygiene was particularly negative: Touching a piece of gum under the table was beyond unpleasant and shouldn't happen in a restaurant. In summary: The restaurant has potential, especially with the good food and the nice ambience, but the service and hygiene urgently need to be improved.
