I recently visited the Locanda restaurant and ordered a tuna pizza—it was simply delicious! The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was cooked to perfection. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortably furnished, making you feel at home right away. Overall, a great experience—I'll definitely be back!

The reservation worked out great, the service was very nice, unfortunately towards the end because of more drinks. I had spaghetti vongole, a mini portion with way too much pepper and you couldn't taste any of the mussels.

Enttäuschender Besuch an einem schönen Sommerabend im Außenbereich, Service war überfordert, da zu wenige Bedienungen alles machen mussten, es dauerte einfach zu lange bis ich mal mein Getränk hatte, mein Salat kam auch sehr spät, geschmacklich war der Salat mit Putenstücken auch nicht das Wahre, er bestand überwiegend aus grünem Salat, bei dem sehr viele Strunkstücke drin waren und viele dunkle Blätter, die Croutons schmeckten wie Zwieback, Putenstücke waren sehr wenige drin. Alles in Allem nicht zu empfehlen. Da die Preise eher gehoben waren erwartet man schon, was qualitativ Gutes zu bekommen, zahlen musste ich dann an der Kasse, weil die Servicekraft nicht kam. Geh ich nicht mehr hin!

We spontaneously stopped by Locanda for dinner today. The service is terrible. You wait at least 20 minutes for a menu, and then it takes forever for someone to take our drinks and food. Our order came after about an hour, but they forgot our bread, and after that, no one bothered to attend to us. We had to get a waiter to pay. Sorry, but I've never experienced such poor service anywhere else. The staff isn't equipped to keep guests happy.

Due to the warm weather (June 21, 2025), only the tables outside were occupied. There were five of us (including one toddler) sitting outside in the afternoon. Not all tables were occupied. Nevertheless, we had to wait 45 minutes for drinks. About 10 minutes later, the food, consisting of two pizzas, arrived. We were about to leave. Apparently, there were too few or inexperienced staff on duty. The drinks counter was unmanned throughout the entire wait. This probably explains the long wait. Drinks only arrived after we asked for them. A real shame. This is certainly due to a general lack of staff or qualifications. However, there are restaurants that certainly also struggle with these problems, but are doing better.

Yesterday, we waited 50 minutes for a pizza and two portions of pasta. The table next to us arrived 20 minutes later and got their pizzas before we got ours. The food didn't arrive at the same time and wasn't warm. When we left, the table was still full of our dishes.

We waited 40 minutes for our order. They didn't even bring us drinks...

Pizza was good, the staff is nice and the price is right.

The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, you immediately feel welcome. My Rigatoni Bolognese was excellently seasoned and perfectly prepared. Gladly again :)

If the weather is good you can sit outside here very nicely. Inside there is a small play area with toys for smaller children. The staff was super friendly. The food is good. And the pizza is super big. The restaurant is recommended.

Update: We were at Locanda again, and this time they actually had the monthly special. This is the second time we've been there because of the vegan monthly special, which is advertised on the website. Both times, they didn't offer it. There's no vegan dessert either. We had already pointed out to the staff after the first visit that it's confusing when the website says something different than what's actually on offer. A few months later - the same situation. Apart from that, the food is really good, and the pizza portions are especially generous.

I waited over an hour for a pizza that cost €15. I don't think there's anything more that needs to be said.

I didn't find the Margherita tasty, but it was okay at best. From the ventilation system, there was a very unpleasant smell of rotten eggs that was sometimes unbearable.

We wanted to have a drink outside on the terrace on a sunny day, but no staff came outside to take our order.

We had salmon noodles, spicy salami pizza and bruschetta. However, I only enjoyed the bruschetta; unfortunately, neither the pizza nor the salmon pasta were to my liking. The salmon noodles were very salty, partly due to the use of smoked salmon (unfortunately not fresh salmon) and the pizza was unfortunately also average at best. However, I have to say that we have a relatively high standard of food.

Pizza tastes good and portions are great. I've only had good experiences both in the restaurant and with the delivery service. Overall, one of the better pizzerias in Erlangen in terms of price/performance.

The store has become incredibly bad. Quality of the ready-made pizza with plastic ingredients = grade 5! Where is the Locanda from 9 years ago!? A tragedy!

There are large pizzas here - unfortunately only a poor service staff, which made the stay longer... but all in all good. Personally, I would have liked a little more spice, but that's a matter of taste

We were the first in the restaurant with 16 people. Until the waitress came, it seemed like three days of rainy weather, it felt like it took forever to place our order, and delivery wasn't any quicker. When we were eating, some people had already finished their pizza and others hadn't even had their salad yet. The restaurant has a children's menu especially for children, which we thought was great, but the implementation was such that the children got their food last. As if that wasn't enough, pizza isn't hot and all the glasses were dirty. The toilet facilities hadn't seen a cleaning specialist for a long time.

Friendly staff, even if our telephone order for collection was misunderstood. Unfortunately, the pizzas are not recommended, they were burnt and had such thin toppings that they ended up completely dried out.

Crying baby, service was absolutely bottomless. We got our salad and pasta after 40 minutes? Since when does it take 40 minutes to make salad and pasta? Then our drink wasn't prepared properly (caipirinha) we just drank sugar straight because it wasn't mixed? And then the food was just cleared away ??😭😭

The canteen-style restaurant is located directly on the market square. The menu is well structured, with the emphasis on pizza and pasta. The pizzas are huge, if you like something a little smaller you can even share one, which means you can even get two different halves, or you can take the Roman pizza, which is a little smaller. There are also pasta and starters - although the composition of the large antipasto plate reminds us more of a fusion version with its raw peppers and Camembert than the original. The fact that you don't get bread or antipasti at an Italian restaurant is also a rather un-Italian peculiarity. All in all, we missed the Italian friendliness and, despite large portions, somewhat the quality and taste of Italy.

Service absolutely underground. Guests are not seen. It's better to stand around and chat with colleagues. Unbelievable! Otherwise: Italian food in a nice atmosphere. Pizza is huge! Sitting outside is also pleasant in summer.

I had mixed experiences at this restaurant. The food should be highlighted positively: it was served quickly and was really tasty. The ambience was also appealing and created a pleasant atmosphere - at least until I visited the toilets, where the light unfortunately didn't work. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Although it wasn't particularly busy, the service seemed overwhelmed and took a disproportionately long time for small things. This spoiled the otherwise good impression. The lack of hygiene was particularly negative: Touching a piece of gum under the table was beyond unpleasant and shouldn't happen in a restaurant. In summary: The restaurant has potential, especially with the good food and the nice ambience, but the service and hygiene urgently need to be improved.

Einfach vergessen. Billige Kopie einer Systemgastronomie, nur dass bei letzterer sowohl Essen als auch Service besser sind. Vor- und Hauptspeise kamen gemeinsam. Von den 3 Bruschette war 1 nur mit dem Vorschlaghammer zu genießen.

I went here for dinner with my partner. Unfortunately the restaurant couldn't convince us. The service took a long time even though the restaurant was not full. I ordered a Neapolitan pizza which I individually topped. Unfortunately, there was very little topping and tomato sauce for both of us. My friend also had a Neapolitan pizza. The taste was okay, but they had little in common with a Neapolitan pizza. The dough was very thick and, like the sauce, had little flavor.

Disappointment is putting it mildly. Had dinner there spontaneously. Around 6:00 p.m. there wasn't too much going on. It easily took 20 minutes for a service to arrive. Order placed. Drinks came after 15-20 minutes. The Lillet was served with moldy berries. Starter then again 20 minutes later. Main meal (pizza & pasta) after a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Pizza cold, pasta cooked between hard and al dente. Ambience decorated with spider webs. Toilets without toilet paper & unhygienic in 2/4 toilets.. Restaurant visit total 2.5 hours + x minutes..

I am very convinced of this restaurant. Food was great - the water was full of sparkling water. But what particularly stood out for my fox friends and me was the transcultural acceptance that we received from the cis-human side. I would just be very happy about a gender-appropriate change to the menu. Thanks and LG!

Pizza isn't that good. Pretty dry... If you want a large pizza, I would lean towards another Italian chain.

We've always been happy to order. Dough is great. However, the pizza has been increasingly sparse for some time now. At the same time, prices became increasingly expensive. For a €15 pizza with "grilled vegetables" I expect more than three small slices of zucchini and eggplant with a diameter of 32cm. (We ordered the pizza without cheese)

Terrible experience in every way. Obvious that there are severe staffing problems. Only one inadequate waitress working as another failed to turn up for her shift. No manager on site, only available over the phone. Extremely slow service, took well over an hour to receive main course. Food horrible throughout; bland tasteless antipasto, tepid tasteless ravioli floating in watery liquid as it had not been drained adequately. We had to leave without finishing the meal. Definitely Avoid.

Unsere Bestellung wurde vergessen. Wir waren um 17.00 Uhr da. Es war recht wenig los. Wir haben 45 Minuten gewartet. Als alle die nach uns ins Restaurant kamen, ihr Essen erhalten hatten , war klar ,unsere Bestellung wurde vergessen. Das kann passieren , was mich sehr ärgert ist, dass wir angelogen wurden . Es wären auf einmal viele Bestellungen eingegangen. Die Pizza war mittelmäßig, der Salat welk. Uns wird man dort nicht mehr sehen .

A bitter disappointment After entering the store we were ignored for a long time as private conversations were being held at the reception desk. After choosing a seat in the almost empty restaurant, we were unable to order because the employees didn't bring a card to our table. A colleague behind the counter saw us but didn't respond to us due to his lack of interest and headphones. So after 20 minutes we left the restaurant, which was not acknowledged. Therefore, I cannot comment on the quality or presentation of the food or drinks and will not try again in the future.

We were there on a Thursday when Hans Zimmer Musik was playing at the Schlossplatz at the same time, so there was a lot going on, so I can't be too angry with the service. But even if it had been less busy, the service was massively understaffed. At first we waited probably 20 minutes for our order to be taken. The waiting time for drinks was ok and after another 30-40 minutes the first dishes arrived. My friends' pizzas came first. Then we had to ask for cutlery, which came 10 minutes later. After another 10-15 minutes my ravioli arrived. I could have overlooked the service if the noodles hadn't been incredibly disappointing. 16€ for a small plate of almost cold ravioli that tasted like ready-made pasta from the refrigerated shelf. There are 2 stars because the pizzas are really huge and, according to my friends, they tasted good. The rest was unfortunately very disappointing.

Incredibly delicious and very large pizzas, especially in the summer evenings the outdoor area is really nice.

After I promised the nice gentleman from the service today that I would also put my praise in a Google review, I hereby fulfill my promise :-) I was at the Locanda with a friend this afternoon and it was, as always, delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and the location is centrally located on the market square. The pizza we ordered was huge and both the dough and the toppings were very tasty. My friend had the Spaghetti Vongole and she also liked it very much. I would also like to emphasize the fast and very nice service. I think it's very important that you can also order the pasta dishes in wholemeal versions or gluten-free and that there is also a monthly menu with vegan options. Everyone should really find something here. Thank you again for treating us to delicious pizza and pasta during our lunch break. We'd love to come back.

We were there for lunch on a Sunday. We were the only ones in the store with another table. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing; we were never asked if everything was okay, let alone smiled at. Like the last two times, the arugula wasn't fresh... We usually like to eat the sage noodles here, but today they really disappointed us. The noodles were tasteless and cold. Very unfortunate...

So hat alles gepasst. Jedoch zu wenig Personal im Service, waren etwas überfordert.

The food was great, unfortunately after the first order no service came for more than an hour, even though there wasn't much going on in the restaurant. The waitress ignored our attention, so we ultimately had to go to the counter to be able to pay.

Pasta carbonara was quite dry. We waited forever for food, drink and payment. Some of the cocktails were completely oversweet.

The service was nice and quick. Unfortunately, the vegan pizza is not recommended because it was cold and hardly any toppings, there was no tomato sauce, toppings and vegan cheese, so it was very dry and tasteless. It's a shame that more effort wasn't made. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't that great as there were lots of dead and alive flies everywhere. Unfortunately not recommended. However, the other pizzas looked a lot better.

Disappointed again... The last time I was there I ordered two different slices of pizza, one was something completely different and the vegetarian side simply had small slices of salami on it. This time we ordered a pizza to pick up, it was already ready when we arrived. The poor condition was busy just collecting cash, mixing drinks, etc. throughout the restaurant. So we received our cold pizza at the counter after ten minutes. The pizza wasn't seasoned well and the "forest mushrooms" were really soggy. That was the last visit to this restaurant.

Locanda was a good place, close to the city centre - easy to reach. The food was great too, but there werent many servers around and it was taking time

Never again! I had spaghetti vongole with a hand-counted 8 mussels and tons of vegetables on top. Portion very small and disproportionate to the price (14.50). My wife had spaghetti carbonara - this was cold. In terms of taste, both dishes were very poor as hardly any spices were used. The staff is nice but it looks incompetent. For example, we waited over half an hour before we could even order anything to drink. (Mind you, the economy wasn't full). Another half hour later our ordered drinks finally arrived. No thanks once and never again! Better find another Italian :)

Unfortunately I can't recommend it either as a restaurant or as an employer.

Normally it's not my thing to give reviews here, but the operator of the location should use the opportunity to work on themselves and their team. We also reiterated our criticism when paying. The service was very friendly and motivated, but unfortunately two people were not enough for the size of the restaurant. There were very long waiting times even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. The organization of the kitchen needs an overhaul. We had a cold starter plate as a starter and two salads with farfalla as a main course. We waited 40 minutes for our starter and another 50 minutes for our subsequent salad. Mind you, only for cold dishes. Guests around us came after us and had already eaten and paid and we hadn't even had our starter yet. A guest at the next table also had the same waiting time as us for a plate of pasta! He was really angry too! All in all, not recommended for the prices and organization. I only gave stars because I felt sorry for the service!

They have adopted American tipping expectations and pressure tips of 20 percent or more and stare at u while selecting the pre selected tip amounts no thanks.

Good location and prices okay, until recently actually very cheap! Unfortunately not particularly well organized, we waited an hour for a pizza to take away. Recently we were registered as a large group and some people waited 45 minutes for their first drink. The Margherita used to be an insider tip, huge for 8.70 euros and absolutely delicious. Now it costs 10 and unfortunately no longer tastes good, mainly due to the cheese. Luckily it isn't used for the other pizzas.

We used to regularly get pizza from Locanda (for me personally, this is my first stop). However, due to an intolerance, I have to resort to the vegan varieties, which generally taste great. Unfortunately, the prices for vegan pizzas have risen steadily in the past, which is why we no longer regularly visit or order take-away. It would be great here if the pricing was based more on the “standard range” again. Update 06/28/24: Despite the increased prices, we got pizza from Locanda again. My husband a classic Neapolitan pizza and I the vegan pizza from the monthly menu. Unfortunately I have to say that we definitely won't be eating there/taking away anymore. Despite the high price (18.90 EUR!) for the vegan pizza, it was very sparsely topped, the dough was very tough and the taste was simply not good. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here (vegan/lactose-free cheese or sour cream is no longer that expensive). Unfortunately, the competition now offers significantly more for the money. Unfortunately, my husband wasn't happy with his pizza either (spare toppings, dough very tough). Dear Locanda, we used to enjoy eating at your place so much. Maybe at some point you can convince us again!

Alles war super bis auf die Klimaanlage, von der ich leider krank wurde.

LGBTQ friendly boss. Always addressed our queer group with the correct pronouns and treated us with great respect. Service and food were top. I would love to do it again.🤭

tldr: mediocre to amateurish The service is nice, but doesn't always seem to understand what you're asking for. I had to order my beer (literally: light beer) twice to finally get it once. Even then it was a cyclist :-o When I complained about this, there wasn't even an apology. The dishes were tasty, but some had to be added with salt - and we don't overdo it with the salt.

tldr: mittelmässig bis amateurhaft Die Bedienung ist zwar nett, scheint aber nicht immer zu verstehen was man verlangt. Ich musste mein Bier (wortwörtlich: Helles) zwei Mal bestellen, um es endlich ein Mal zu bekommen. Selbst dann war es ein Radler :-o Als ich dies bemangelte, kam nicht mal eine Entschuldigung. Die Speisen waren zwar lecker, musste man aber teilweise nachsalzen - und wir übertreiben das mit dem Salz gar nicht.

We went there spontaneously to eat and were seated even without a reservation. The pizza was excellent and absolutely huge, considering the size and quality it was even cheap. The salad, however, was very carelessly prepared, only the leaf lettuce had dressing, the remaining ingredients were piled on top. Unfortunately, the lack of freshness of the ingredients was much more annoying. The tomatoes were visibly overripe and already mushy, the mango was unripe, hard and still sour. The leaf lettuce also had parts of the stalk and mushy leaves. The turkey breast was dry and fried significantly too long. The salad alone as the main course should have been left out, but the pizza was really excellent and its size was more than enough for two people. The service was very attentive and friendly, and at the end there was either a coffee or shot on the house. The ambience, service and pizza are definitely recommended.

We were there last night, Friday, May 31, 24, with the regulars' table of the Erlanger Left. It was far too warm in the restaurant. The pizzas were great!

Nice restaurant with good food and delicious cocktails. There were 10 of us and everyone was happy. The service and kitchen dealt well with the numerous guests, but everything was under control.

The Locanda is the best restaurant in all of Erlangen. The employees are very nice. We were served by a very pleasant person who told us his name was Olli. Great praise! The food was also very tasty and the wine festival at Schlossplatz further enhanced the already great atmosphere. 5 stars without any ifs and buts!

Very good service. Despite many customers, fast and friendly service. 1A! The boss is also very courteous and personable. I will definitely come again.
