L'Osteria Erlangen in Erlangen

There were 4 of us there and everything was great. Food was very tasty and ready super quickly. Despite a lot of intolerances, a delicious meal was conjured up. Minimally cold through the entrance door. The only “drawback”. Happy to come back!

We were there today for the girls' evening... we were very impressed with both the food and the service... even though the reservation was only valid for 2 hours, we were allowed to overstay... thank you for the lovely evening 👍

Table was bad even though reserved. 20 minutes to order drinks, drinks arrived after 30 minutes. Way too warm and stuffy. Food was OK but didn't come together (about 10 minutes, so one person had to eat alone). Not recommended overall.

I just ordered 2 pizzas here via a delivery service. Unfortunately, I made a mistake, but together with a super friendly employee and the very helpful boss, we were able to sort everything out in no time. I was impressed by how service-oriented the work was there, despite the restaurant being audibly full. Thank you very much for that!! By the way, the pizzas were very good 👍

Were looking for one of these pizzerias, also to redeem a voucher from the gourmet block. Went there spontaneously without a reservation and the three of us also got a free place. The reference to the gourmet block was also answered in a friendly manner. Very friendly service!! The drinks and food we ordered came not too long after. We thought the pizzas and pasta dish we ordered were delicious! Hassle-free processing of the voucher. Can highly recommend the “store”!

We are here often. There's always something going on, but you can usually still get a spot. Food is of consistently good quality. Service is friendly. Restaurant is clean.

Rating from 2021: The pizza was ok, but too thin for my taste. I also liked the pizza better cold than fresh. It's not cheap. Update 2025: I had the lasagna this time. It was far too small to get enough of. My friend had the pasta with mascarpone sauce. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend that either. The sauce had almost no taste. Very unfortunate.

We are regular customers and will definitely remain so. The food is always super delicious. For me, the best pizza ever is here. Unfortunately, there are problems from time to time in the service and in the kitchen. Our specially ordered salad is almost always forgotten, we usually only get it when we ask at some point and the children's pasta often only came long after the adults had started eating, the kids should always get their food first. But as I said: We remain regular customers because the food is always really good and the service staff are always friendly. See you soon

Very tasty Italian food, I can only recommend it. The equipment is also successful. Unfortunately, it's a huge room and when the tables are all occupied, the noise level increases to the point of giving you a headache. That's the only drawback. Location in Erlangen is ideal

Delicious food. We had pasta, the pizza from the next table also looked delicious. Next time we'll try pizza because we'll be happy to come back. At lunchtime it suddenly became full and the waiters were difficult to "catch", but that was probably because on the day before Christmas there were only 3 waiters responsible for the full shop. The boys and girls ran like weasels.

Food was partly okay. We are having dinner regularly here, but this time the pizza was to long in the oven and the last piece of food arrived after everybody else was finished. Also it tooks more than half an hour to pay. We need three times reminding the waiter to get the bill.

As always, EVERYTHING was very good 👍 Service polite and very accommodating 👍 the homemade lemonade is a pleasure 😋 and the food, as always, very tasty 😋

Poor quality and bad pizza and expensive!

We went there for a pizza and a salad. The waitresses are quick and friendly. Despite being busy, the food comes to the table quickly. Unfortunately neither the pizza nor the salad were to our liking. The pizza is large, but has thin toppings and little seasoning, i.e. bland. The lettuce was drowned in dressing and had probably been sitting for a while, at least judging by the condition of the lettuce leaves; fresh is different. The pizza dough was boring and lightly baked and yet dry. We had already seen at the neighboring tables that the pizzas were very lightly baked and had specifically said that we wanted the pizza to be crispy, but this was ignored. The pizza was more like dry pizza bread. The atmosphere wasn't really our thing either: very loud and a bit like a canteen. We won't go there anymore. Two stars anyway because the service was very good and quick.

We had made a reservation and even though we were a little early, we were taken to a free table by a friendly young man and served straight away. Even though it was quite busy (New Year's Eve), the food came quickly and was delicious as always. We ordered Gnocchi Gamberetti and Orecciette di Manzo al Limone and delicious desserts. Unfortunately we've had unfriendly service here, but we'll still visit again. This time the service was great, the girl had already finished and stopped by the table to say goodbye before going home. Rarely seen. Pizzas as usual huge and delicious. The somewhat louder ambience is known from previous reviews. But it was still ok.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Pizza ist riesig, eigentlich schon zu groß. Der Service war leider nicht besonders gut. Außerdem sitzt man draußen mitten in der Fußgängerzone, wo viel Durchgangsverkehr ist.

The normal pizzas here are larger than average and are sometimes enough for a second person if you're not completely hungry. You can also have a pizza topped with two different things. However, the Napoleonic pizza is less recommended here

I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to this restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the attention to detail: the atmosphere is warm, stylish and immediately invites you to feel good. Yesterday we came for lunch at this place. When we asked if we can sit outside the waiter’s facial expressions have changed a hundred times. As a result we received an answer that it is better to sit inside. I have a complaint about the food delivery. I ordered half a Hawaii pizza (see photo) Is this serious?? 7 pieces of pineapple and 2 ham....pizza costs 18 euros. What horror! I also ordered a Caesar salad - 93% leaves, 3% croutons, 3% chicken and 4% Parmesan. These are green leaves for 11 euros. Very dissatisfied!!!!

Food was very tasty. We had a couple of antipasti starter platters which were very good. The pizzas afterwards were also very tasty. Above all, the pizzas are relatively large. So you can also share a pizza. It is also possible to top the halves of the pizza differently. This way you can try out more. The L’Osteria beer is also highly recommended and tastes very fruity. The location itself is modern and very nicely decorated. However, the open design also makes it very loud when there are a lot of guests and it is almost impossible to understand each other at the table. Priced above average but still okay. The staff is very nice and quick. Conclusion: definitely a recommendation.

I gave the feedback to the waitress, and the answer was that "there's a lot going on", that is then not a convincing reason. Please also replace knives occasionally - ours were too blunt. -Service: okay - nothing more, nothing less. We had a lot to do, but everything was still very hectic and quick. Another waitress brought the drinks, but she didn't want to or wasn't allowed to take the food order. I think it's a shame - preferably all at once when you know it. - Ambience: basically nice and open kitchen, but tables are very close together and therefore very loud. You may also have to accept maximum sales per square meter in system catering. Conclusion: system catering. You notice. In principle everything is ok, but nothing outstanding. Service: more of a “check-in”, but you get the pizza quite quickly.

Congratulations on the most expensive, but not best, pizza in Erlangen. I ordered via Ubereats. This pizza that I ordered costs just under €17. Ok, I thought, the pizzas used to be huge and then it's OK. I had to pick them up because there was a mistake and they weren't open yet...okay. But then the surprise: the pizza was basically the same size as a normal large pizza. Never again at this price! It's still a PIZZA, consisting of water and flour and possibly a few high-quality ingredients on top. It's simply overpriced for this size and there's a lot of competition in Erlangen that can do it better.

Rarely have we experienced such poor service, you can't fault the food, but it would be nice if you were noticed as a guest and looked after without having to wait ages or draw attention to yourself. Apart from that, even though there are only two of us, the food doesn't come at the same time and came 5 minutes apart.

Very disappointing experience! We had reserved a table for 8 people to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the tables were not prepared at all. Instead, we were given tables of different shapes and heights. One table was rectangular, the other was round, and neither was the same height. When we asked for another table, we were told that there were reservations for 45 people and that we had to vacate the table within 1.5 hours. The organization was beyond chaotic and completely spoiled the mood. Eventually we had to leave the restaurant frustrated. My advice to the restaurant: Before making a reservation, please check whether you have the capacity to accommodate guests in a comfortable manner. A reservation should not only exist on paper, but also be feasible in reality. Rating: 1/5 stars"

Very good and big pizzas. Pleasant atmosphere and very well located. Reservations are recommended, but the place is quite large and has a terrace. The price is standard.

The pizzas are huge, one is enough for 2 people. The drinks are on average €1 more expensive than at other pizzerias. The seating inside is very cramped, it echoes and is overall very loud. The service is very courteous and friendly.

The environment with soft music and Italian ambience will make every pizza lover's heart beat faster... But the pizzas are much too big, so it's better to share them... Still a nice restaurant in the heart of Erlangen

Pasta 1 star Pizza 5 stars Ordered spinach pasta to pick up, chose different pasta when ordering online, well opened it at home, I think the "normal" pasta is a shame when you have to pay extra for it, and the portion is a joke for just under 15 euros I've always been there for pizza, big, delicious pizza, just the right amount (for small eaters, 1 is enough for 2 people). I think the prices are fair for pizza The staff is young and not yet at full speed but I think it's okay.

Ok, but it's got expensive! Pizza around €17. Had spaghetti with tomatoes and basil. Just one basil leaf. Tomatoes tinned. Salad is good. Pizza too. Spaghetti had no flare. I'd expect more for the price.

Food is good, service is good, but I find the specified tip percentage to be a coercion and a reason not to go there again. Would like to decide for myself about tips and everything in general without any hassle or key search.
