TimeOut in Wuppertal

We were at an event at the Uni-Halle in Wuppertal on April 23, 2024. We wanted to have something to eat beforehand and had just checked that the restaurant was open from 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, around 5:30 PM, we discovered that this wasn't the case. That's no way to treat guests. Simply abysmal. On top of that, there's only one other restaurant in the area, and it was already fully booked. For me: Never again at Time-Out.

Actually, it doesn't deserve a star at all! I've never experienced anything like it! The meat was cold, the salad dressing was completely watery, and if you're already heating up the sauce for the schnitzel, maybe you should turn off the microwave sound! It was totally sour (but no wonder when it felt like it had been reheated for the fourth time already... The beer definitely came from a bottle and had no foam, and to top it all off, a whisky/cola was ordered that only tasted like River Cola; you couldn't even taste the whisky. And as if that wasn't enough, they outrageously charged 0.2 liters of cola for the "whisky/cola," which I absolutely cannot understand how a bill of over 100 euros could come about!! Unbelievable! Not to mention the service, and everything was so bright and loud, the Ballermann music was absolutely fitting for Christmas! It's also very hygienic that the kitchen staff stands outside the restaurant smoking and then goes back into the kitchen in sweatpants and the same shoes! SUPER! Maybe some people should rethink their reviews... No words.

We were there as a football team. The reservation was easy and the staff were very accommodating, ensuring that every child's wish was fulfilled. We were provided with a huge and varied buffet. Fresh food was readily available upon request. All 40 attendees (20 kids + parents) were very satisfied. We had an unforgettable evening. The owner even came by personally and treated everyone to dessert. Thank you so much! Our Christmas party will be held there again soon, and we're really looking forward to it. Overall, it was a very pleasant and delicious restaurant visit. Briefly divided into ambience, service, and food. Ambience: Modernly furnished, very chic. Overall, very harmonious. The only criticism is that it feels a bit cold due to the floor, and there was no background music playing, which made it feel even more so. A few pictures and music would have improved the ambience. Service: Very good. I can't say much else. Incredibly dedicated staff who do everything they can to ensure a pleasant experience without seeming forced or fake. Food: Criticism up front. This was the saddest side salad I've ever seen, and it almost would have led to a point deduction if the rest hadn't been so fantastic. A bit of bell pepper and grated carrots would have improved the whole thing a bit. A bit more choice and desserts wouldn't have hurt the menu. Otherwise: Simply WOW! All the ingredients were fresh, the schnitzel was homemade and really good, the goulash was a flavor bomb, and even the red cabbage was homemade, which isn't a given at that price. Alterations to the dishes were no problem, the portions were huge, and the value for money was fantastic. All in all, a very nice evening with excellent food! Thank you.

We tried it once and have been regulars ever since. We give the service and food 5 stars. We like the atmosphere, are completely satisfied, and enjoy going to TIME OUT. Our friends are now enthusiastic too. Definitely recommended!

A friend recommended TimeOut to me, and of course I had to try it. The four of us were there for Schnitzel Tuesday. It was soooo delicious. 😋 Jägerschnitzel with fries for €10.90 plus an extra small salad for €4. The drink prices are good too. You'll definitely see me again, maybe for Fish Day?! Let me think about it ;)

Were there for the first time today, I can only recommend it, very friendly and very tasty

Ein neues Restaurant im Quartier, das sich noch im Aufbau befindet. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hell und modern renoviert und kreieren eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Die Tische sind schön eingedeckt und man hat direkt Lust, sich hinzusetzen. Vor dem Eingang und auf dem Tisch weisen Tafeln bzw Zettel auf die Tagesempfehlung bzw. Den Mittagstisch hin. Aus Kulanz und weil nicht viel los war, bekamen wir noch Komponenten des Mittagstisches. Die Karte selbst ist relativ klein und italienisch-mediterran orientiert, wobei auch eine kleine Auswahl an Schnitzeln angeboten wird. Ein wenig unprofessionell erscheinen die handschriftlichen Korrekturen in der Speisekarte. Heute wurde das Restaurant im Ein-Mann-Betrieb geführt, Service und Küche waren also eine Person, was jedoch weder für lange Wartezeiten noch zu Unaufmerksamkeit hinsichtlich der Getränke führte. Der Gruß aus der Küche war lecker und stellte einen guten Fingerzeig für das Hauptgericht dar. Wir hatten die Calamari, Schnitzel Holstein, Kartoffelecken (aus dem Mittagstisch) und die Antipasti-Platte. Es war alles sehr gut und wirkte auch alles selbstgemacht. Vor allem die Dips zu den Calamari und den Kartoffelecken waren wirklich top. Das Schnitzel war gut gebraten und die Bratkartoffeln kross. Das Schokoladensoufflé war definitiv nicht selbstgemacht, aber war ein gutes Produkt. Wir haben insgesamt pro Person ca 20 Euro für ein Hauptgericht und min. 2 Getränke bezahlt, das Verhältnis ist also top. Man merkt, dass das Restaurant noch im Aufbau ist, zum einen an der Größe des Personals, zum anderen war es noch nicht richtig gut besucht. Es verdient aber eine Chance und wir kommen als Nachbarn gerne wieder!

Das Ambiente und der Service waren sehr gut. Das Essen war sehr lecken und das Fleisch war sehr zart. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr angenehmes Restaurant mit gut-bürgerlicher Küche und gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Waren mit vier Personen vor Ort und wurden alle sehr gut umsorgt.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen hier zum Essen. Es ist wirklich eine Großartige, Gutbürgerliche Küche. Jedes Gericht FRISCH zubereitet. Das Fleisch auf den Punkt. Hammer! Service und Personal echt SUPER. Das wird ein Stammlokal / Restaurant!
