We were there for our summer party and were impressed by both the location and the food. The cake was mostly excellent, but always at least good. The options for sandwiches and rice pudding rounded it off. The service was good considering the number of visitors.

I was here for high tea. The whole thing was super tasty and very rich. The ambience is simply great. It is very cozy and rustic without looking old-fashioned. I felt very comfortable and the service was very nice and courteous. The staff, even though it was very busy today, was always friendly. The sanitary area was very clean. There is also the option to sit down outside. A small shop with little things invites you to browse.🥰 I'm looking forward to the in-house honey. 😋All in all, highly recommended. I'll be back. 😁

A really nice country house and the service was attentive, friendly and quick even though it was very busy. There were several of us there for afternoon tea. The cake stand was nicely arranged with sweets and the sandwiches were also tasty, the "scones" were quite crumbly and due to the high number of visitors there was no menu to choose your tea. A pity. I also missed no hot water and lemon or milk. If I had asked, it would certainly have been brought. Personally, the 34 euros for tea, pastries, etc. were a bit too much for me

We went to this great country house café for the first time today. It is very cozy and lovingly furnished. The six guests enjoyed the food very much and the price was also completely justified. We had main courses and delicious cake afterwards. The greeting from the kitchen was also delicious. It was well attended and that's why I have no problem with the fact that it can take a while. Today we went to the Landhaus Café for tea time. We are totally thrilled. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was cozy. We will come back in any case.

Sorry, but charging almost 28 euros each for the tiers and then not even offering portions per person/everything and not even a free tea is overpriced and disappointing. It started with the fact that we couldn't get a parking space, then despite reservations, no one felt responsible for us and we only got a table after 15 minutes. Staff completely overloaded because tables inside and outside were occupied. But one or the other was friendly and tried hard. It was ok and the idea was good, but no recommendation or coming back.

Been there today and would give more stars for the service and ambience. Cake and coffee very tasty will definitely come back and this time make a reservation for tea time, it looks really great. Thank you

Been here again for a while and was really disappointed, 4* because I know they can do better. It wasn't very busy but we waited 45 minutes for food. The salad wasn't really washed and didn't taste fresh either. During that time, 3 other complaints were made at the tables. No problem at all, but it wasn't handled well. The nice waiter always walked around with a tray full of small dessert glasses. A price was not mentioned, the bill then said EUR 3.90. (Unfortunately it didn't taste good either) One really assumed that it was a greeting from the kitchen, which used to be common here. When asked about the calculation, the waiter said oh, you didn't know that. :-( Since the food really isn't cheap, but the meat is worth it, it's 4 stars. Unfortunately there was no salad. For dealing with complaints, unfortunately for service only 2.

We became aware of this restaurant through television reports. The coffee and tea table was presented here. These looked very tempting. We therefore wanted to enjoy our birthday with the family with a delicious dinner for 8 people. We were impressed by the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately the food wasn't So, the ratatouille was totally overcooked, the Wiener Schnitzel was small with gray-brown breading and limp fried potatoes, the 5 Aldie king prawns as a starter marinated in soy sauce and garlic, the baguette wasn't crispy and the Italian antipasti wasn't fresh like at the Italian restaurant but from the supermarket Cooling box . Only the pasture-raised beef steak for 32 euros was excellent. Coincidence ? It's more of a café than a restaurant, we think. Nevertheless, we had a nice evening with a great espresso and an Averna (unfortunately 1 instead of 2 cl in the glass) It was very nice. We'll try high tea time next time. Wir haben von dem Cafè aus dem Fernsehen erfahren und besonders die Teestunde sei zu empfehlen. Das können wir auf jeden Fall bestätigen, es gibt Scones mit Clotted Cream, Sandwiches und süße Spezialitäten, dazu ein hervorragender Tea, wir empfehlen 5 o' clock. Bedienung sehr nett, also wirklich alles Top.

We have been to this beautiful country house café several times. Today we were able to enjoy the American breakfast with a large group. It was just really great and very rich. The rolls are super tasty. Everyone was excited. We will come back in any case!

The ambience is very nice. In summer, when you can sit outside, maybe even nicer. The high tea also looks very appealing. However, I don't think the price-performance ratio is right, a bit excessive. The young ladies who serve there are very friendly, but sometimes they seem a bit overwhelmed.

Nice country cafe in the middle of the forest. The food is very diverse and more than rich. The service friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, over the years the ambience has declined. Unfortunately, the upscale tableware (Villeroy Boch) was mixed wildly with simple white porcelain on the tables. The nice little sales room seems overloaded and no longer so loving. It would obviously be nice to be more careful here.

We sat outside in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed delicious cakes, cream cakes, English scones with clotted cream and also some more hearty specialties.

Enjoyed the late riser breakfast buffet there once again. Great quality of rolls and bread products, delicious fruit salad, good muesli and yoghurt, as well as a large selection of fresh fruit. The warm dishes, scrambled eggs, fresh champions, potatoes and small sausages, are super tasty and are always freshly replenished. My wife loves the pancakes. The service for drinks is always a little slower at the beginning because everyone comes at the same time, but the friendliness makes this pleasant. The coffee variants are freshly prepared and are very good. We think the services and quality match the price and can only recommend this café.

We were there twice (once inside, once outside). Unfortunately, both times we were a bit unlucky because the first meal we ordered was no longer available, the second meal we ordered wasn't available either and we had almost lost our appetite. The rhubarb spritzer was not a spritzer but still. In addition, the service takes a bit long...a shame

Great as always! A very, very cozy and unique atmosphere. In winter you can even sit in front of an open fireplace and there were plenty of candles scattered everywhere. There is still attention to detail here. Today the food was once again unique, especially the vegan dishes and the cake. We will come often.

Unfortunately, there was hardly any service in the beer garden because, according to the restaurant, the food that had been ordered and already paid for was suddenly no longer available. As a guest, that meant taking care of the replacement yourself. And twice in a row. The lack of service does not refer to the table service, but to taking care of mistakes made by the restaurant yourself. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the sun.

A cozy place located and almost hidden in a small valley in a forest area in Wuppertal. It looks almost like a former mansion that has now been turned into a very pleasant café and restaurant. They bake all their cakes and sweets on site and you can buy a range of local goods to take home too. The restaurant itself has a neat and calm appearance and gives a calm and pleasant atmosphere. We were there for their High Tea / Afternoon Tea, and here I can say right away that you get a lot for your money! Good freshly baked and warm scones with delicious and fresh jam and cream cheese. Good sandwiches / canapés with egg salad, cheese and vegetables, and finally and perhaps the very best, top level, i.e. the desserts. Again, all made on site. Unbelievably many good small cakes, macaroons, cupcakes and the like. Very fresh and good! In addition, they offer lots of different teas and we went for a rooibos-orange variety which was fresh and nice. All in all a very good and fun experience, apparently it's hard to find places that offer High Tea / Afternoon Tea so this was a good experience!

Very nice restaurant, good food, nice staff. Right in the forest and fair prices. We had 2 burgers and 1 bottle of water for around €35. A greeting from the kitchen, 2 beef broths with bread were included for free.

It's a bit difficult for me, but I think this review is fundamentally important and, when in doubt, I chose the more positive side, but not everything is positive. I would normally have given the food a 3.5 or something similar because the quality was without a doubt really good. On the other hand, the price/performance ratio unfortunately doesn't fit at all; If I get a Wiener Schnitzel and it costs around 26 euros, then the price may be ok. If the portion - and that was the case with all the meat dishes I've seen - is so small that you actually need (at least) two of them to be halfway full (I mean that literally!), then that's it That's absolutely not okay and this saving in the wrong place will pay off at some point! The quality is good and in the end I don't care about the exact price, but that's too much; Buffet or All You Can Eat (in whatever form such as breakfast, brunch, cake, etc.) may be expensive, but I can live with that because I can at least eat as much as I want.

I think everyone deserves a second chance :-) During Corona times, we were in the country house cafe once, in the outdoor area, and weren't that enthusiastic. But last night we started the second attempt and are very, very impressed. We were greeted very friendly by a young woman (Sina) and the waiter, Kevin, also smiled at us when we sat down at the table. There, in the cafe, you sit like you're in a living room... just great, the grand piano in the middle of the large room, the buffet on the wall... a very nice atmosphere! It was quite busy, but we were quickly asked for drinks and the menu was brought to us. We took the country house schnitzel and the tagliatelle with pork medallions... a good choice, very good! It was outstanding! The beetroot salad was also a hit. And the “greetings from the kitchen”... great! (Tomato soup, but what a blast) including great bread. The whole time the staff was always available... and asked if there was anything else to do... To be honest, we like to eat out a lot, but I haven't eaten sooooo well here in Wuppertal for a long time. And was treated like a “queen”. (Queen= good customer) Thanks! Today we went to the Landhaus Cafe for high tea for the first time. The portions are sufficient and everything was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice - you think you're sitting in a living room. Given the price, we had actually expected that there would be free black tea, but that wasn't the case... We'll definitely try the hamburgers at some point, which looked very tasty.

The desire for a coffee and a piece of cake led me to this cafe, which is hidden in the middle of the forest. Well, the wish was not only fulfilled, but all expectations were far exceeded! All delicacies! From fresh waffles with cherries and rice pudding, a variety of cakes, rolls with sweet and savory toppings, to the typical English high tea - everything is perfect. And you can enjoy everything in a lovingly designed ambience.

High Tea Much Ado About Nothing

Nice cafe with very nice staff. We got a table despite everything being reserved. The food and the café were tasty and the price was acceptable. Unfortunately, the café has no public transport connection and is very remote. It was also very crowded. We might come back!

I was invited to high tea today. The Landhaus Cafe is a beautiful café that is tastefully decorated according to the theme. The service is great, the team is young but very attentive and well trained. The buffet for the “Kaffeeklatsch” also looked very good. We were also surprised by the exciting ideas in the small cakes. Even though I unfortunately have to say that high tea is not my thing, we will definitely come back again because the atmosphere, service and quality are simply top notch. Attention: make a reservation in advance, the café is busy.

We were there with our children for the first time today. I can only report positive things. Mega friendly and super nice staff and the food was MEGA.

Great buffet with a huge selection. There really is something for everyone and very lovingly presented. The service is quick and very nice. Since we were in the second time group from 11:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. we were allowed to stay seated. Those from the first time group had to leave at 11 a.m. You should keep that in mind when you go there. The only thing I have to complain about is the drink prices. Pot of coffee and pot of tea together for €17 and a large latte macchiato for €6.40 (that's the size of an Ikea glass). But all in all a nice restaurant.

The café has a feel-good atmosphere, everything is harmonious, from the wallpaper to the blazing fireplace, from the piano to the country house decoration. We feasted our way through the American breakfast. The staff was plentiful and served the large number of guests quickly, attentively and in a friendly manner. The only thing that bothered us was that after the two hour reservation we had to go out to eat because the tables (in the entire café) were reserved for the next round. Not that we wanted to/couldn't eat anything, but we could just sit together comfortably and have a drink... it would have been nice, since the whole thing isn't exactly cheap. For all walkers who come by spontaneously, I recommend the time of year when you can sit outside on the terrace. Otherwise there is also a mulled wine hut. Or you are very lucky and a reservation was canceled at short notice.

We went to the country house café to coincide with King Charles' coronation day. But actually to celebrate my friends' birthdays with high tea. Reservation went well, we just got there a little early and had to wait a little until the table was set. But it's not that bad, we sat outside in the sun for a while and browsed a bit in the attached shop. The high tea was very nice, only the somewhat confusing number of scones and sweets was not quite optimal. We had reserved for three and got 5 scones - that doesn't make much sense either one only gets one scone or you have to cut 2 scones into thirds each...? That could definitely be improved. You should have the same number for everyone. With the tea sandwiches there were at least 6, although you had to decide who got what: 3 types of 2 pieces each, so not everyone could try everything, unless you started sharing again, which then wasn't on the plate looks so beautiful anymore. But they tasted good. The same thing happened with the small tarts. We had to cut up a lot of things, which wasn't always easy; some of them suffered a lot from their appearance so that everyone could try them. But everything was very tasty. Clotted cream and jam would also have been enough for two people rather than three. What disappointed us a bit was that there was a larger group at the next table and there was one cake stand for every two people. Whereas the three of us had a cake stand. Number and equipment identical to ours. In retrospect we didn't think that was so nice. Otherwise, nice atmosphere, friendly service and it was delicious. You should perhaps refine the concept of whether a cake stand is for 2 or 3 people, especially if you as a guest have this comparison sitting right next to you. And no - the number of sandwiches and tarts on the cake stand was the same, we looked. It makes more sense if you just take the sandwiches, because if there are two people, everyone can eat one of each kind. I think it would be good if the country house café took better care of other guests in the future. It is also the case that the billing is per person and not per cake stand. In other words, we paid for three people but only received the equivalent for two people - except for the tea, which was actually available three times.

Das stimmt ,ich habe zur Probe gearbeitet, weil man angeblich ,Personal sucht ,doch einen Betrieb zuführen und als Chefin ,nicht mal einen eventuell neuen Mitarbeiter zu begrüßen ,das finde ich nicht professionell ,sorry ,ich war lange genug selbst Chefin ,doch das ist keine Umgangs weise.Aber da hat man wenigstens beim Probe arbeiten ,direkt ein Gesicht vom Chef.

Wir waren zum High Tea da und es war wunderbar... die Leckereien zum High Tea super lecker, das Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und das Ambiente einfach wunderbar... ein besonderer Nachmittag, den wir gerne demnächst wiederholen...

Ein gemütlicher Ort für die Kaffeezeit oder Abendessen. Schönes Ambiente und gutes Essen. Liegt etwas abgelegen im Wald.

Sehr leckeres Hirsch Gulasch ... lockere Atmosphäre und für Kinder gut geeignet

Wir sind jetzt das vierte Mal dort gewesen und immer im Dezember am zweiten Sonntag sitzen wir am Kamin. Man bekommt dort für sein Geld einiges geboten. Das Buffet ist sehr schön angerichtet und alles muß man mal probiert haben. Am Anfang kam eine junge Frau und brachte ein Tablett voll mit Sekt und Oransaft oder aber auch gemischt. Der Sekt, so meine Frau, soll sehr lecker gewesen sein. Das einzige was ich recht unangenehm fand ist das man nur zwei Stunden Zeit hat und dann wird man höflich aufgefordert zu gehen. Die Interieur ist super schön gemacht, überall schön Weihnachtlich dekoriert und das Knistern vom Kamin ist für mich sehr entspannend. Das Personal war super freundlich und immer auf zack und sehr aufmerksam. Die Sauberkeit ist sehr gut und auch die Toiletten sind super sauber, bzw. ohne Probleme nutzbar. Fazit : Probiert es aus, es lohnt sich und alles schmeckt super lecker 😋 😉 😁

Jedes Jahr essen wir hier in der Vorweihnachtszeit herum Gans, die immer sehr lecker ist. Allerdings gibt es auch jedes Jahr irgendwelche "Problemchen" mit dem Wein. Entweder wird der Wein, der auf der Karte steht, nicht gefunden oder es dauert teils recht lange, bis dieser dann auch am Tisch ist. Daher für den Service auch etwas Abzüge. Allgemein jedoch durchaus empfehlenswert!

Das Ambiente war eigentlich sehr schön... Ordentlich und das was man unter Landhaus versteht findet man in der Raum Ausstattung wieder. Was äußerst negativ war das vorab telefonisch etwas nachgefragt wurde die Endabrechnung anders gelaufen ist. Der Service äußerst schlecht organisiert, sry Mädels da müsst ihr dran arbeiten. Die Preise sind schon ziemlich happig.... Bin gespannt wie es 2024 aussehen wird. LG Jenny

Ein recht kuscheliges Ambiente was auch zum längeren verweilen einlädt. Das Essen (High Tea) war wirklich abwechslungsreich und hat uns auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Es war etwas wuselig an dem Tag, deswegen keine volle Punktzahl für den Service, aber alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen 😃

Leckerste Kürbissuppe ever!!!!!

War heute das erste Mal dort. Super schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und vielfältig

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Tolles Essen, tolles Team. Sehr aufmerksam aber niemals aufdringlich. Mal fühlt sich einfach wohl. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Wir waren heute erstmals zum Frühstück im Landhaus Café- nachdem wir gestern ein Riesenglück hatten, so spontan noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Von der Atmosphäre und Lage hin zur Organisation des Teams können wir alles nur absolut loben. Trotz brechend voller Bude wurden alle Gäste zügig und mit unendlicher Freundlichkeit - und dem Gastro-Herz am rechten Fleck - zu ihren Tischen gebracht und über die ganze Zeit hinweg ebenso bedient. Fragen wurden gerne beantwortet oder Extrawünsche erfüllt. Geschirr wurde schnell und immer mit einem Lächeln abgeräumt und das Buffet stets aufgefüllt. Ein Riesenlob an alle, die das so bewerkstelligen! Wir hatten das Glück einen total schönen Tisch in der Lobby zu bekommen, das ist ein bisschen weg vom Trubel, für uns war’s absolut perfekt. Die Qualität des Essens und auch der Getränke ist wirklich herausragend! Man darf jetzt eben nicht mit den einschlägigen Ketten vergleichen, was die Größe angeht, aber die Auswahl fanden wir persönlich tausendmal besser. Qualitativ, wie gesagt, unschlagbar! Sehr besondere Käse, tolle Aufstriche und Marmeladen (die Kiwi Marmelade ist der Killer!), hervorragende Brötchen aller Art, Brot, Gebäck und Kuchen, sowie Pancakes, herzhafte und warme Leckereien, sowie eine außergewöhnliche Obstplatte ließen absolut keine Wünsche offen. Dazu kommt, dass der Kaffee grandios gut ist. Das ließ unsere Herzen dann vollends in Glück ergehen. Wir sind wirklich begeistert und kommen ab jetzt öfter mal. Rechtzeitig reservieren und damit rechnen, dass es sehr voll ist sollte man auf jeden Fall! Tausend Dank an das gesamte Team und „unsere“ wunderbare Servicekraft, die uns einen wunderschönen Morgen gezaubert hat! Sorry, leider haben wir nicht nach Ihrem Namen gefragt - nächstes Mal 🙃 Weiter so und bis ganz bald! Ein absoluter Tipp für Wuppertal und Umgebung.

Ein heimeliges Café, das etwas abseits am Wald liegt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Wir waren zweimal zu Besuch, einmal haben wir den High Tea genossen (vorher reservieren!) und einmal haben wir das American Breakfast gebucht. Beides war einfach lecker: Der High Tea bestand aus Ei- und Thunfisch Sandwiches, Scones mit Clotted Cream und Marmelade /Jam, und dann noch viele kleine köstliche Gebäckteilchen. Beim American Breakfast gab es zum "Üblichen" noch Bagel und kleine Pancakes. Alles hat wunderbar geschmeckt! Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre im Café ist gemütlich und entspannt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch einmal wiederkommen!

Gemütliches Restaurant in einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre 👍 Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Kürbissuppe,diese Suppe ist der absolute Knaller ich hätte mich damit Sattessen können.Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Pasta mit Bärlauch Sauce, unsere Tochter war hell auf begeistert, Rösti mit Championrahmsauce und Rote Beete Salat war auch eine Köstlickeit , an dem Entrecote medium gegart mit Schmorgemüse und Kartoffelgratin gibt es auch nichts auszusetzen😄Die speisen haben uns allen sehr viel Spaß gemacht😋😋😋. Zum Service kann man sagen: Die beiden jungen Mädels die uns bedient haben,haben ihren Job sehr gut gemacht Und wer da was zu maulen hat,der soll mal selbst die Hacken in die Hand nehmen. Liebes Landhaus Team macht weiter so und bis bald👍👍👍

Super Kuchen. Super high tea - Art englische Kaffeetafel mit Kuchen, Sandwich. Preise hoch aber gut. Souveniershop mit lokalen Sachen. Gut aber teuer.

abseitige Waldlage, ruhig, sehr gesuchtes Cafe und Restaurant. gemütliche Räume; große Kuchenauswahl - teils zu mächtig; schnelle und freundlcihe Bedienung. Unbedingt reservieren. Für einen Kaffee-Besuch sehr empfehlenswert.

Der Service ist ausbaufähig aber die junge Servicebelegschaft ist motiviert und äusserst freundlich

Was uns leider nicht so gefallen hat, war das von der Speisekarte 3 Gerichte nicht mehr zur Verfügung standen. Leider hatten wir uns diese an Hand der Karte ausgesucht. Das ist etwas schade, da man sich ja auf das Gericht gefreut hat. Es war auch nirgends angemerkt das diese Gerichte ausverkauft waren. Hier könnte man etwas nachbessern. Trotzdem hat uns allen der Abend sehr gut gefallen und das Essen war köstlich.

Wir waren hier zum Kaffeetrinken....es gab eine sehr gute Auswahl an Kuchen 🎂. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit....immer wieder gerne 😉

ドイツで初めてケーキビュッフェに来ました。ケーキ1切れが大きいので、シェアするのが良いと思います。ハムやチーズにパンがあるのがドイツっぽいと思いました。ケーキはどれも美味しかったですが、特にプラムケーキが気に入りました。ケーキビュッフェは日曜のみ、HPからメールで英語でも予約できます。

Ein Traum für Tortenfreunde! Auch draußen nett. Wenn nur die Raucher nicht wären?!

Mit viel Humor, kann man dem Service ertragen. Wenn man Glück hat, bekommt man das, was man bestellt hat. Am besten, man sagt bei bestellen des Essens: „Bitte mit Besteck!“ Das war heute der Witz des Tages. Nach der vierten Erinnerung hat man uns dann Besteck gewährt. Das Essen selbst war gut. Das Ambiente draußen, wie drinnen ist super. Aber Bitte „Arbeitet an eurem Service!!!!“

Gestern zum ersten Mal beim American 🇺🇸 Breakfast gewesen. Das Angebot des Büfetts ist neben den typisch amerikanischen pancakes mit Ahornsirup und Blaubeeren sehr reichlich und qualitativ gut. Der Obstsalat hat mir besonders gut geschmeckt, aber auch der Hefezopf mit hauseigener Konfitüre… 😋😋😋 Getränke wurden zügig gebracht und gebrauchtes Geschirr rasch abgeräumt. Wir - 4 Erwachsene - waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend, die Atmosphäre angenehm entspannt. 👏 Dass der „Laden brummte“ lässt darauf schließen, dass es andere ebenso empfinden.

We like the atmosphere of this place very much. The Caesars Salad with chicken was freshly made and tasted very nice. The service was very pleasant. Due to the fresh production of the food it is not the fastest service but in such a nice place one doesn’t mind sitting a bit longer.
