Only ate in the restaurant. Good quality. Nice atmosphere. Too many side dishes and not enough meat in the grilled dish (served in cast iron). Drinks were reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere for a cozy evening for four.

Some time ago, we held a family celebration at this restaurant, which remains a very fond memory. Our positive past experiences were the deciding factor in choosing this establishment again. The restaurant's location is particularly attractive and ideal for our needs, as it's about an hour and a half's drive away. Easy accessibility was therefore a key consideration. Ample parking is available directly in front of the building, making arrival even easier. The entrance is welcoming and creates a pleasant first impression. Inside, guests are greeted by a spacious and modernly furnished dining room. The rooms are well-heated and feel very inviting overall. The acoustic ceilings are a particularly noteworthy feature, ensuring a pleasant and quiet atmosphere even when the restaurant is busy. The culinary offerings impressed with a wide selection and generous portions. The variety of dishes left little to be desired. The service was also generally friendly. Only one young blonde server stood out negatively, as she served the drinks in a rather brusque manner. The food required some patience, and we occasionally had to take the initiative to get more drinks. Overall, however, we had a very pleasant day at the restaurant and enjoyed the delicious food.

Today, we were on the terrace with ten people in beautiful weather. The friendly waitress immediately offered to put the tables together. Our orders were taken promptly and served quickly. The quality of the coffee/tea and cake was excellent. However, we would have liked to have been asked for any additional requests after a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Your service was outstanding. These days, it's rare to experience such attentive and professional service. You were always present, friendly, and memorized a remarkable number of drink requests – and actively asked for them when refilling our drinks. We were very impressed by your speed and commitment. The evening was also a true culinary highlight. The salmon, antipasti, and potato gratin were absolutely top-notch. The refill service at the buffet was also impeccable. We would love to come back ☺️

Great food in a beautiful ambience and view

Warm summer evening... terrace, enjoying a beer and the view! Absolutely fantastic! Couldn't get any better... Unfortunately, the service had its ups and downs! A somewhat older waitress seemed quite stressed. When asked to change the order (1 free beer on a pilsner), she was visibly annoyed, rolled her eyes, said "I'll have to see about it," and left. Then she fetched a device and grumpily changed it. Then a young colleague came over, super motivated, friendly, and charming... The complete opposite! She was great! But no matter, the atmosphere made up for everything.

The pork schnitzel "Vienna style" is fantastic! Highly recommended. But serving only one portion of sauce for two people was a bit stingy. A few months earlier, I had already eaten the schnitzel there and received exactly that portion of sauce on my own. This stinginess is the reason I can't give it a higher rating.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit. We were looking forward to a coffee break at the restaurant, but were completely ignored. Despite several free tables and visible staff, no one came to us – not even a greeting. After 20 minutes of waiting in vain, we left without having accomplished anything. Unfortunately, this is not what hospitality is all about.

A lovely spot on the Hamme River. Enjoy your coffee outside, and even though they only had two cakes left, they were generous portions and very tasty. Very friendly service.

I don't know which hut the other reviewers stayed at, but the service here certainly left a lot to be desired. The self-service restaurant would have been more attentive, but not as expensive. A real shame.

We went to Tietjens with relatives yesterday. The restaurant was fully booked, but the service was still very fast, very friendly, and attentive, and special requests were handled courteously, friendly, and competently. We had four different meals, all of which were not only plentiful but also delicious. We would be happy to come back anytime!

We went there for dinner for the first time. It was delicious, and the service was particularly outstanding. The ladies were always very attentive and courteous. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. We would eat there again. But then, when the weather is nicer, you can sit on the beautiful terrace.

We went to eat at T. The restaurant was completely booked. It's a good thing we had a reservation. The staff were very well prepared and very friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were full. We had a main course and both had dessert. The price was perfectly reasonable, too.

First-class service and very good food

Tietjens Hütte has become an institution. Located directly on the Hamme River, it has a very large terrace and a beautiful view. All seats are under large parasols. The service staff is very attentive, friendly, and approachable. You immediately feel at home here. The Hamme burger with fries was very tasty and quite filling. Not for those with a small appetite. The price, given the taste and quality, is absolutely reasonable. There is plenty of parking in front of the house or across the street.

We celebrated our wedding here in June 2025. The food, service, and organization were all wonderful. We would do everything exactly the same again. Special thanks to Saskia and Anna for the wonderful planning!

My partner just bought a gift card at a restaurant and was treated very rudely. Was it because he'd been to the horse riding school beforehand and was only wearing light-faded jeans? Or was it because it was too much for him to handle at lunchtime? It's a shame. I would have taken my money back and bought a gift card somewhere else. There are several restaurants nearby where you get friendly service. So, update: Ex-colleagues and I were there this week, and what can I say!? It was absolutely wonderful, starting with the very friendly and efficient service and then the delicious food. We had schnitzel in large and smaller portions—finally a place where you can order it—and we had plaice fillet, all top-notch. The fried potatoes were sooo delicious, as were the fresh mushrooms and the meat—it couldn't be better. For dessert, there was a dream strawberry sundae with meringue, also delicious. The restaurant was very busy, and two other parties were there, but the waiters and the kitchen had everything under control. I would definitely go back in the future and can recommend the restaurant without reservation. I particularly like to mention that the fried potatoes and onions weren't too greasy; there was no fat on my empty plate, so they were very easy to digest without any stomach aches or rumblings.

Qualität des Essens war echt gut - Buffet bei einer Geburtstagsfeier. Es wurde zügig aufgefüllt und die Auswahl war abgestimmt. Nachtisch war super, das anschließende Kuchenbuffet lecker. Leider war an dem Tag bei einer Gesellschaft von knapp 45 meistens nur eine Bedienung für die Getränke im Raum, was gerade bei den Kaffeespezialitäten zu recht langen Wartezeiten führte. Location ansonsten super und das Personal freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Actually a nice location with ambience and charm. With the small menu and the prices listed, you expect at least a home-made schnitzel and no convenience products. The fried potatoes served were also a bit limp. Unfortunately, the hamburger wasn't any better and was too dark, and the bagged potato wedges were fried for too long. The 3 stars are for the ambience and service created by Maike Hollenbeck. In terms of food, it was below average with cheap metro products. Pity, it could definitely be better.

You have to eat the fish soup. My steak was grilled to perfection and, like the side dishes, very tasty. Overall something special and correspondingly more expensive

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Für alle - inkl. Veganer- war etwas dabei und auch sehr schmackhaft. Die Bedienung war klasse, freundlich, zuvorkommend und witzig. So macht ein Besuch wirklich Spaß. Preis/ Leistung ist auch ok. Von daher eindeutig 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wir waren mit dem Ambiente und dem Restaurant sehr zufrieden. Leider mussten wir eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten . Dies war für uns dahingehend zu beanstanden da nach uns kommende Gäste vor uns ihr Essen bekamen. Die eine nachbestellte Scheibe Baguette wurde extra berechnet.

I can only report on the restaurant. The house is idyllically located directly on the Hamme. With a jetty for water hikers and small sports boats. Both the inside and outside guest rooms are nicely decorated. The menu includes both international and regional cuisine. Everything was very tasty and in a slightly higher price category. Recommended.

Great terrace on the Hamme. Very good food. Class service. Ate here again today after about 3 years. Excellently prepared and hot “Hamme pan” with great ingredients. Clearly an expert is cooking here.

Invited by a friend, we stopped here to eat. What we ordered was really tasty and freshly prepared. Our table was on the lawn that separated us from the old pier for the peat barges on the Wümme. A wonderful place that invites you to linger.

Celebrated my 75th birthday today with 39 people. I ordered “Tietjens Buffet”. Everything was set up on time. It was a real treat; all of my guests were impressed by the food. The service with drinks went smoothly and the service staff was very attentive. I was very satisfied with how my celebration went, I can only recommend it.

I advise against the Hamme burger (moor ox, just kidding), as well as the schnitzel from the deep fryer for 25 euros and the brawn as well. Fried potatoes were okay. Glass of wine (the white house wine was good) is served at eye level, martini spilled when served. No polite apology. The service was too jovial and unprofessional for me. This is not an upscale restaurant, but more of a garden restaurant. I'm not coming back. The restaurant thrives on location and reputation. Three stars. Not more.

I was invited to a celebration that took place in Tietjen's hut. Even though there were two other events taking place at the same time, the food was a real treat! The buffet was very tasty from A - Z! The salmon is tender and juicy, as is the meat! The curry sauce was really excellent! Praise to the kitchen!!!! I could go on and on!!!! There was nothing for me, but also nothing to complain about 😄 I will definitely visit the restaurant again and of course recommend it to others 👍

Yesterday I ate the asparagus buffet with scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes and schnitzel - it wasn't bad except for the asparagus, I've never been served such al dente asparagus in a restaurant!!!! The asparagus project was completed for me after 4 sticks. Very exemplary service from start to finish!!!

It was my first time eating there. The location looks very nice, especially the view of the Hamme. Unfortunately, the staff didn't come across as particularly motivated. As soon as we walked in there was no smile or “nice to have you here”. It's so simple, but you would immediately feel comfortable. Instead all you heard was “Come with me” and “There’s still room here”. The food was ok, nicely presented, but not so much that it would blow you away and I would say I have to go there again. The hospitality: unfortunately very poor. When the glass is empty, you usually ask if you want anything else and if everything is okay. It was good to ask if we wanted dessert, but after that no one came to take the order. Only one person is allowed to take an order, the others are only allowed to pass it on. There's a lot of room for improvement, and it's so easy. This is not meant to be a criticism, just a reminder that guests who dine there shouldn't feel like the staff isn't really motivated. A smile makes so much difference!

Went there by canoe in a beautiful area

We were guests here to visit our relatives in Bremen, we felt very comfortable here and we can only recommend Tietjen's hut. You can eat well in the restaurant, we noticed that the menu wasn't overloaded but there was still enough to choose from. We'd love to come back.

Good food, quick and friendly service, great location

Unfortunately I can't contribute anything because we weren't served at the table after 30 minutes, although two waitresses obviously noticed us but unfortunately decided to ignore us.

Four of us went there for dinner yesterday. Fish soup was very tasty, as was the starter with meatballs, vitello tonnato and olives. My little senior schnitzel was really great, I've never had such delicious fried potatoes anywhere else, along with freshly fried mushrooms.

Service good and friendly. The food was good and tasteful, the toilets were clean. I like to go there first, from this you can tell what the rest of the place is like. The restaurant can also be recommended.

The food was tasty. Unfortunately, my wife's dish got cold very quickly due to the cold plate, which was a shame.

Very nice staff, great atmosphere. Unfortunately the kitchen has slacked off. The food was rather carelessly prepared and had a bit of a cafeteria feel to it, which doesn't justify the price. Mushrooms were a bit in love. Dessert was very good. All in all ok, but it was better.

Meine Geburtstagsfeier bei Tietjens Hütte am 10. März war ein gelungenes Fest. Hervorragende Kücke, glänzender Service, anständiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag mit Blick auf die Hamme.

The meal was a case of three contrasting parts. The set of three small surprise starters was ok; the vegetarian pancakes with deep-fried curly kale, humus and cabbage was very good; and the halibut a big disappointment. The fish itself was soggy and rather tasteless because of that, though the asparagus that it sat on were great. And the service was OK without being great. For a reasonably expensive restaurant, overall it was a disappointment and I will not be returning.

Tolles Restaurant direkt an der Hamme. Das Ambiente des historischen Hauses ist gemütlich. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Mitarbeiter/innen sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen schmeckt ebenfalls gut, kostet aber auch etwas mehr. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis insgesamt ist angemessen. Besonders gefallen mir persönlich die saisonellen Angebot.
