Small snack for lunch, we didn't have much time as we wanted to swim in Aja. Fish sandwiches for us, fries for the children - everything was quick and fresh, friendly service. We'd love to come back. Here you can also get fish sandwiches to go if you don't have time to linger. Location right on the water is of course great.

Unfortunately only 2 stars because there is no way to come up with a concept to ensure everything runs smoothly. If it's full, the kitchen is supposedly closed for 30 minutes... (for whatever reason) Unfortunately, the 30 minutes turned into much more, so I left... and so did many other guests... It's a real shame, because in the... Previous visits I was really impressed by the staff and the good food! You have to get this under better control... Even if staff is scarce, something like this shouldn't happen...

The ambience and service were quite nice, and the menu was initially promising. Unfortunately, the Gambasbowl wasn't quite as expected. There were only four prawns in there and a few mixed vegetables. The dressing and garlic as well as any seasoning were missing or couldn't be tasted. It wasn't totally bad, but €22 was way too much in my opinion. Maybe the kitchen was just having a bad day, but it's still annoying :/

Very tasty food, especially the fried fish with fries and tartar sauce, as well as a good selection of dishes. Also very friendly staff and a pleasant Nordic atmosphere. You have to go to the counter yourself to order, which is the only small criticism. We'd love to come back!

Absolutely unfriendly and unprofessional service staff. There are free tables and yet you are asked to leave the restaurant immediately. I would have liked to rate it more, but unfortunately we weren't served.

I was there yesterday with my buddy. Very nice staff. There are Flensburgers on tap and we had great little snacks. All in all, a place you can really visit. Price performance was completely fine. Oh yes, the sanitary facilities are perfect 👍🏻😊

Great staff, great food and great views

By chance we picked up a fish sandwich and stayed there straight away. Interior: modern, cozy, well kept clean, with a Scandinavian touch Service: I think the boss served me. The service was on point, very friendly and pleasant Food: The fish roll was super tasty, well topped and the tartar sauce was homemade. The cake was really amazing! Conclusion: The price is completely okay for good quality. I found this shop to be an asset to the tourist-rich area. It's nice that these days there are still shops that guests don't just see as walking wallets. Personally, I felt very comfortable.

I can only recommend the deep blue. We received a great welcome...the staff - especially the gentleman who served us - were great! The food was great...with a great view of the water. In summer, freshly filled fish sandwiches on the terrace

Service: Sometimes very friendly, sometimes ignorant. Food: I had fish and chips. The fries were very salty and appeared to have been fried in the same oil as the fish. If you eat fish with it, no problem - I imagine it would be difficult with schnitzel. The fish consisted mostly of breading. The fish portion had a doughy consistency and no taste of its own. The tartar sauce was good. Overall, fast food level with a chic atmosphere and clean, nice toilets.

Were here today for the first time for a fish sandwich. We sat outside in a beach chair with a view of the Trave. We were also handed a blanket straight away. The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly throughout. We'd love to come back.

The location of the restaurant is wonderful, the furnishings are modern, but you have to order at the counter, which is more like a snack bar. The service was super friendly and personable. The food did not meet our expectations. The soup wasn't hot, there were mussels in the fish soup instead of prawns and the taste was more like canteen food. Our second dish of kale wasn't hot either. Lower level of taste. I suspect that this is not cooked fresh, but rather without love, using Conviniens. It's a shame, a new location in a prime location... you just expect more.

This time there was only Pharisees and cocoa, but the ambience and the friendly service completely convinced us. We would love to come back and look forward to the delicious dishes on the menu! A clear recommendation so far!

A nice place to watch the goings-on on the Trave and the promenade while having a drink or a meal. The terrace can also be used in bad weather as it is protected from wind and rain by foil. The team at the counter is friendly and often asks whether everything is OK. However, the prices are quite ambitious considering the self-service.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated. Everything was tip top clean. I particularly like the visible kitchen. The service is very friendly and attentive. I had redfish and fried potatoes for lunch. The fish was really great. The fried potatoes could have been crispier but they were also tasty. All in all really recommended.

I'll sit here for a week, eat my way through the map and count ships passing by...

The food was really delicious. You can skip ordering at the counter, especially if the waiter brings the food to the table and clears away the used dishes at the end. Then why can't the order be taken at the table? So you spend 20 minutes standing at the checkout counter with your legs in your stomach because the person there isn't exactly the fastest.

Just okay for now. When asked whether I wanted fries or fried potatoes and how I wanted my fried potatoes, I gave the answer crispy... I got greasy and half-cooked ones...and the schnitzel was done and completely tasteless. The bowls were ok. The panfish is also more than ok but you can't get around it for the price you don't get anything special and apparently the only prices are homemade. The staff was very nice and tried hard... maybe the kitchen was just having a bad day... I won't find out because with the price and the quality you are better served a few meters further or in front of you...

Great concept, great view, diverse offering from which we had different dishes, all of which deserve 10 out of 10 points. A long-awaited alternative to Gosch and a friendly, attentive and friendly service from serving to clearing away. Note: We were here after a burial at sea and it is discreet and stylish here too. You sit in the very stylish restaurant with a wonderful view of the harbor. The food is great!!! Special requests are catered for and dogs are also welcome. The service is very friendly. And the toilets are also very clean. Even apart from fish dishes, there is something delicious on the menu for meat lovers or vegetarians. And if you prefer something sweet, you will also find a variety of delicious dessert options. We will definitely come back on our next vacation!

The location is a jackpot for every restaurant, right on the Trave. We then had to order the food at the front because no one came to the table there. Extra requests like bacon on the burger, which would also have to be paid extra, were not possible and you got an unfriendly answer. Food wasn't the best for the taste either. We decided to go somewhere else for dessert.

Very good shop, very clean and high-quality toilet, unfortunately a parasite was found in a mussel, which can sometimes happen with mussels. A very good shop and nice staff.

We have often bought fish sandwiches at the step-in counter here. Our decision was always right and we were very satisfied. Friendly staff who respond to your wishes and every roll is freshly prepared.

The ambience is wonderful, that the restaurant is self-service, I don't think it's bad, unfortunately the food wasn't our thing at all: fried potatoes drowned in fat and not crispy, grilled vegetables also drowned in fat, the fish fried too long and the mustard sauce in my opinion a ready-made sauce. It's a shame, we won't be coming back again

The menu is varied and ranges from delicious fish dishes to bowls, currywurst, burgers and pasta, including dishes for children, the price-performance ratio is right! It's always a pleasure to eat at Tiefblau! The location offers a fantastic view and the price-performance ratio is simply perfect. There is no longer any relationship between price and performance. Charging €20 for a beer-battered fried fish with fries is quite an announcement. But then only giving out two small lumps of fried fish with a handful of fries is a disgrace. For comparison: the competition with the red house color takes half and the plate is twice as full.

Lunch menu only 17.90 EUR. Self-service indoors at the counter. Price-performance and ambience top!

So I really don't understand how you can give so many stars here. Of course the location is good, but it's self-service outside with the usual beepers and the food we had wasn't seasoned at all, there's no salt or pepper on the table and the prices were way too expensive. We had a salad for my wife, which was probably a bad joke considering the price. At the Greek restaurant you get a larger salad as a side dish.

I ate at TIEFBLAU and unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. The concept of self-service doesn't bother me, but the treatment of guests left a lot to be desired. An older woman at the checkout was rude, spoke loudly to me, and didn't answer all of my questions. That pretty much ruined the beginning of the evening for me. Waiting for our food made everything worse. We had to wait over 30 minutes even though there wasn't much going on. My wife and children were very hungry and the long wait was simply unreasonable. To make matters worse, two young waiters were constantly walking around, asking every few minutes if everything was OK. One of them even tried to tell us stories, which really wasn't the right time. We actually wanted to enjoy the view of the sea and spend a quiet evening, which unfortunately wasn't possible. Overall it was a disappointing experience. We definitely won't be coming back.

Children were welcome there and the food was very good.

Good location with a view of the Trave. Food and drinks must be ordered, paid for and picked up at the counter. Drinks are available together with a pager to notify you when the food is picked up. We liked the food and the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and provided good support with questions. We would stop by again.

Top location, service at the counter, good selection of different dishes. Nice view on the terrace and friendly interior design. Wheat glass had to be replaced once (uncomplicatedly) and was not clean. Fried potatoes could have been more and also more seasoned. Otherwise delicious and gladly again... .

The three of us ate here today as a family. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant because the food was simply not good. Unfortunately, my herring fillet was almost tasteless, as was the tomato sauce in the children's portion of spaghetti. Only the jacket potato was okay. You can easily get much better food in Travemünde for the prices.

The outdoor area offers a great view of the Trave. There are delicious fish sandwiches around the corner, and the restaurant is self-service. The food was very good, but the portions were relatively small. The service was friendly.

Very nice shop, super central. Price like everywhere else. Our fish was good and so was the side dish. Very nice service, which actually doesn't exist because it's self-service. But it wasn't that busy because it was raining. We'll be back.

We were in Travemünde as part of our vacation and of course wanted to go somewhere to eat somewhere in the evening. We were then attracted to the deep blue - it looks chic - and we sat down and studied the map. Soon one of the "waiters" came and informed us that we had to order ourselves at the checkout and then pick up the food - so far, so good. No service, no tips. It's not bad. After we had decided, I ordered - pasta with basil pesto and redfish fillet with fried potatoes, as well as drinks, which I was able to take with me to my seat. And then there was waiting. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. “Is the beeper perhaps broken?” Went in, where several employees were chatting, and asked. The device isn't broken, there's just a lot going on. After 50 minutes - we were just about to leave - the food was ready. A generous portion of pasta with pesto that was swimming in oil at the bottom and the fish that was served with a very tasty remoulade sauce. Conclusion: Given that we had absolutely simple dishes, a 50 minute wait is absolutely unacceptable. Maybe there was a bit of activity going on - but not every seat was occupied and I assume that wasn't the first week after opening. It will be a little more crowded every evening. When I picked it up, they apologized for the long wait and offered to help carry it - if this was my establishment, I would have offered a free drink instead. Of course they were already empty at that point. But who wants to leave another 10+ euros for more drinks after this experience? The pasta wasn't great in terms of taste, the fish was ok, but the remoulade sauce was excellent.

The ambience in the deep blue is excellent with the view of the Trave, harbor and Priwal. The food was very tasty but not for a small budget, but you have to say you have to pay for the location. But you have to say that there is also a lunch menu there until 3 p.m. but there are also dishes at a cheaper price. Of course we missed that 😅 The staff was Nordic-friendly and very attentive and very quick... An unusual process for us was that we ordered at the counter, paid straight away and the food was then brought to our table... But we didn't think it was bad... Had the Travemünder Pann fish with vegetables and fried potatoes as well as a Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad... Daughter just wanted a chocolate cake with cocoa...

We were there as a family for a small lunch, the food itself was brought - despite self-service - it was ok. Portions were sufficient. The fries were fries, the schnitzel could have been crispier and the calamari could have used less dough. But ok, we were full. But what really stood out was the attentive conditions. We were in Travemünde for a week and had lunch at Tiefblau on Wednesday. First of all: it is a real family business run by a family from Travemünde. It's great that this still exists! Our whole family was thrilled. We were welcomed by the “junior” chef and taken to the table. The fact that we had 2 dogs with us wasn't a problem at all! You choose food and drinks at the table and then order at the counter. There is a beeper for the food and you then pick it up yourself. Even though there were many guests sitting inside and outside, an employee brought us our food quickly. Really great. The quality was great. My wife had fried fish in beer batter. I took a look in the kitchen. The fish is freshly prepared there, dipped in beer batter and then fried. No finished frozen goods! The beer batter was very tasty and the fish inside was perfect! All around a cool location, with great and friendly staff and freshly prepared food. Top, top, top! We'd love to come back.

We arrived a little later and we ordered drinks and food which were really good and at 9pm we wanted to order another little something! Then we were told the kitchen was closed! Very sad… and not customer oriented! You probably don't need it...! A pity!
