Great restaurant, excellent food, I'll be back.

I was there today and it was great. 1st Starter: Spicy Cucumber Salad: This was really great with a pleasant spiciness. 2nd Starter: Dim Sum with various fillings: They were very good, but incredibly hot at first, so we had to wait the first time. They were good. Main Course No. 103: I don't know the name of it, but I had a dish with diced chicken, peanuts, lots of delicious vegetables, and, of course, rice. It was very tasty and I can definitely recommend it. The peanuts give it a slightly sweet taste, but not overpowering. I definitely recommend it. All in all, it was a very nice evening. The ambiance is nicely accompanied by relaxed jazz music.

Always very tasty 👍but also getting more and more expensive

Best Sichuan & Chinese cuisine! We come to this place almost every week and it became our favorite. The foods are absolutely top notch. The service is always great^^. You could book a table during core time (18:00-19:00 I would say) or with big crew. Otherwise, just dial in or simply walk by. You won't be disappointed. Our all time recommendation is Dandanmian, Morchelsalat, eggplant pot with shrimp and fried chicken sichaun style! Yummmmy!!

When it comes to Chinese food, this is one of the best options in Berlin. It may not be completely Sichuanese, but the kitchen is doing a consistently good job. I wish I could say the same about the service... which sometimes feels impersonal or even impatient. If it were better, this would be a 5-star rating.

We've been to this restaurant several times now. Every time we visit Berlin, we make a stop at Tian Fu. The quality is consistently high. We enjoy the food. We'd love to come back.

Great place for Chinese cuisine

This is original Chinese cuisine. I was there with a Chinese citizen and she meant, that's like in China. In China a little bit better, but real.

As an original Chinese person I have to say it was possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants I have had in EU/ UK for this 10 years. The most original taste mapo Tofu and amazing starters, the most Chinese restaurants’ nightmares were the starters/ Cold plates always like the same flavour, but this restaurant was truly not , all dishes taste different and unique but also mostly under sczchuan cuisine. And coming with the best rice…. And most dishes can do vegan options too! The staff here were sooo friendly and lovely! Big big love and recommended 10/10♥️♥️♥️

Since 25! My regular Chinese for years. Tried a lot, nothing comes close to the authentic taste of Tian Fu. I particularly liked the salt and pepper duck. The Sichuan pepper tingles under the duck for a long time and is juicy and crispy at the same time. The beef stew is also delicious, so fiery!

A Berlin classic. Numerous vegan options.

I’ve been eating there since 2021 and their food has always been to the point. Always authentic and flavourful. If you like sharp flavours and spice with chilli they have several options. As an Indian I enjoy their dry hot dishes(I forget the names) a lot.

I don’t know why the staff just sooooo mean, he just ignore us all the time and reject us to seat in the empty table without reservation. And push us to order the food as long as we get the menu. It make sense to me that might because we are Chinese and we don’t speak Dutch… but… it’s a Chinese restaurant right..? If I am not a blind person… the menu is Chinese characters uhu..?

Great food, but really really bad customer service. Very rude staff who force you to tip. No politeness at all. No common courtesy. It feels like they have a problem with everything. The staff literally said " give us a tip" who even asks for a tip on your face??. Such cold personalities and behaviour. Very disappointed with the staff. There are better restaurants in berlin with the same food and lovely beautiful staff. Dont recommend if you want to have a pleasant time.

If you would like to be told where you can sit, you can go. But be careful, a supposed reservation will be thrown around very quickly and you will have to vacate the place. This is the second time this has happened to me. I will no longer enter the store.

Outstanding service and good food

I ate here for the first time yesterday afternoon. And that was a fantastic treat. For the first time, not the typical Chinese restaurant interior, but completely normal. Cool, light jazz music could be heard. Very friendly staff. The menu had pictures of all the dishes and was therefore very clear and self-explanatory. The food itself was very tasty and plentiful... it was simply great! I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Absolutely disappointing! This "Chinese" restaurant has nothing to do with authentic Chinese cuisine. All the dishes just taste salty, without any depth or real spices. Added to this is unfriendly service - the waiters are rude and actively demand tips, even though the service is terrible. Never again!

The food was generally good: we had hotpot. This one had very good broths. However, you have no choice when it comes to side dishes. In terms of taste, everything was basically right. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good, even if the waiters were nice, you had to wait a long time for service. Unfortunately, not all dishes on the menu were available. There are toilets and you can pay by card. We recommend making a reservation.

The poor, unfriendly service doesn't help with the ambience and unfortunately the food doesn't taste that good either. No thanks! There are so many friendly Asian and Chinese restaurants in Berlin!

Tian Fu has long stood for original Sichuan cuisine in Schöneberg. From hot pot to noodle soups to other freshly prepared classics, the selection is large. It can get busy in the evenings and reservations are advisable. The price-performance ratio is still okay, the service is quick and attentive. The ambience is modern but cozy and is constantly adapted to the spirit of the times.

Awesome Sichuan cuisine near my home in Berlin! Tried Sichuan beef strips today. They were yummy! Their fish soup is also awesome, and so are the dimsum.

After our stay in Berlin again, this restaurant was again at the top of the list. We enjoyed it excellently. It's a great feeling as a vegan to have so much choice.

I accidentally selected the wrong dish on Uber Eats and contacted the restaurant within two minutes, but I was told that it could not be canceled. The taste was also extremely bad, making it an even more disappointing experience.

In my opinion, "Tian Fu" is a very special Asian restaurant - in the best sense of the word! All the dishes tried so far were of excellent quality and had a very good taste. However, the taste is definitely different to that of many cheap snacks - "Tian Fu" is probably an authentic preparation. The staff is committed and the sanitary facilities have always been impeccable. Sometimes you have to wait a while for the food, but I take that as a sign that the food is rather freshly prepared. Overall, I can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. The price-performance ratio is also fair.

The food didn't taste authentic and was below average to OK. Partly at Asian snack level. Overall, the service could be a bit friendlier and more attentive.

The best Chinese restaurant in Berlin.

The best Chinese food in Berlin (Sichuan cuisine), great original dishes that I know from mainland China and have missed in Germany so far. It's quick, the prices are moderate. You have to reserve in advance and you usually get a time slot of two hours, which is completely sufficient. A bit impersonal though. Building a good rapport with the guest - you can do that better in China!

Excellent Chinese food! I have tried at least 15 in Berlin, but none is as good as Tian Fu. You notice the high level of authentic Chinese cuisine already when entering the small restaurant - due to the fantastic scent! Love it, especially the Dry Fried Chicken Szechuan. Atmosphere is more modern and less traditional (no red plush and golden dragons) which should be positively mentioned, too.

I really wanted to like the food, it wasn‘t bad, it just really lacked flavor. The cucumber salad and duck were good. But the other dishes we had, like the sweet aubergine, didn’t taste like anything. The sauce the duck came with didn’t taste like a whole lot either. We had eaten at the veggie Tian Fu ages ago, and always really liked their food. I was a bit disappointed, the food seemed lazy, and for the price and ratings I would‘ve expected more flavor. The waiters were sweet, though it seemed like a very stressful and busy evening.

We would have loved to try the food and leave a review. But after standing at the empty gate with a sign and being ignored - I stepped towards the indoor entrance and asked someone if we were waiting at the correct place, I was immediately and clearly told 'we don’t have time for you.' When I asked if that meant there were no tables (over half the restaurant was empty), I was told 'you go outside and wait if you want. We do not have time for you'. The tone and body language was aggressive and continued to be when my husband asked if he had to be rude. Unsure of where this all came from. Perhaps someone is having a really bad day but this sort of experience is unacceptable - there food could be the best in the world but it isn’t worth serving. Would not recommend.

I was not the biggest fan of Chinese food until I tried this restaurant! Super delicious food. I tried the duck and it was amazing. Really recommended!

One of the best meals I have ever eaten. We had the hot pot with 3 people. The selection of ingredients that were served with it was very diverse and delicious. The 2 different broths (mild and spicy) were also great. The atmosphere is cozy and calm. Taste: 10/10 Ambience: 9/10 Location/connection: 10/10 Looking forward to next time!!!

Der Service ist unaufmerksam. Gäste die später eintreffen bekommen früher das Essen. Eine Suppe kam um Minuten später als die gleiche von der Karte und dann auch noch gleichzeitig mit dem Hauptgang und der auch später als das Essen meiner Frau. Leute, wo habt Ihr Euren Kopf, ich wollte doch nur einen schönen Sonntag zusammen mit meiner Frau verbringen. Bier gab's auch nicht, weil Zapfanlage kaputt. Und immer noch wie im Vorjahr wird Reis berechnet mit 2€, finde ich kleinlich, nicht wegen 2€, von mir aus von vornherein auf das Essen aufrechnen, aber womit sollen wir das Gericht zu uns nehmen oder etwa selber mitbringen? Erzähle das keinem in China, der wird das nie glauben. In Deutschland sind die Restaurants verrückt geworden, gibt auch welche die Geld verlangen wenn der Teller nicht leer gegessen wurde, schlimmer als bei unseren Eltern in alten Zeiten, ach ja da gab es noch den Rohrstock. Aber trotz allem, das Essen schmeckt dort weiterhin, hoffentlich.

We have been happily coming here for Dim Sum since 2019, each time we are in Berlin .

Depending on which service person is serving you, a price is announced (like on the menu), but then a different amount is immediately entered into the card reader. This has happened several times now and I assume a certain person is intentional.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. Authentic food, freshly cooked on site. Despite the large selection of dishes, the quality and uniqueness of each one is maintained. Price/performance is phenomenal, especially from this point of view. Service is quick, attentive and friendly. You can sit well inside and outside and the chairs/benches are comfortable.

I ordered and it was delivered after an hour and the price performance was not satisfactory. Cucumber salad wasn't good, and the fried vegetables for almost €14 were a small bowl of 90% Chinese cabbage, otherwise some peppers, two or three fine strips. Spicy tofu was delicious.

Very tasty and relaxed restaurant, the food was really good and the service was great. What was annoying, however, was that we couldn't order a bedside table from the chef at 10:25 p.m., 35 minutes (!) before closing time.

Fine little shop. Tastefully decorated, great wall decoration and lights. The chairs are very comfortable and the atmosphere is harmonious. Not at all how you imagine a Chinese restaurant to be. The food is great. Beautifully prepared, great taste experience, if you like spicy food, this is the right place for you, but there is a good signpost on the map that you should follow. 3🌶️🌶️🌶️ is very spicy and 1 🌶️ is good spicy. This will guide you through the food easily and without accidents. I would have liked to eat a lot of things straight away, but there isn't enough room in my stomach 🙈. But I would love to come back. Ten years ago, I was a regular at Tian Fu for years. At that time, for me, the restaurant was the benchmark in authentic Szechuan cuisine. At that time a young hostess and a very attentive service staff. Today I was a guest again. Unfortunately, this will also remain a unique experience. The service was completely lackluster. One waiter played on his cell phone constantly, even ran to the respective tables while playing and only put his cell phone in his pocket when he reached the table. But now to the food on offer. My highlight at the time, pork belly with spicy garlic sauce as a starter, tasted boring, and the meat was firm rather than as divinely wobbly and fatty as it was back then. The wonton soup tasted like the fourth brew of tea - like nothing at all. The wontons were overcooked, as were the vegetables. Unfortunately, every fast food restaurant can do it better. The mixed dimsum was horrible. No comparison to those in Aroma/Kantstr. The main course of Szechuan beef stew had almost no other flavors other than slight spiciness and minimal Szechuan pepper. None of the flavor explosion that this dish usually has. Vegetables also overcooked. And no broth, just oil. Many Berlin restaurants can do this 1000 times better. Unfortunately, I couldn't share these impressions with the staff. Because I wasn't asked whether I liked it. The games on the cell phone are clearly more important. Once again this restaurant will not welcome me as a guest. The competition from authentic Chinese restaurants is now massively too great for that.

I'll start off by saying that my only complain is the service, everything is really, really good but I can't bring myself to give it 5 stars because the service is quite subpar. The food is delicious, very much like you'd experience in China and the restaurant is quite nice and well-decorated but the service leaves much to be desired - the waiter took forever to take our order, actually the order of people that have entered the place way after us and when he did take the order it just looked like he was making a huge sacrifice by simply being there. With ordering out of the way, we had to wait for a very long time for the food, we asked only for 1 starter and 2 main courses and it still took a long time. Hell, even the drinks took forever and it was only sparkling water and an orange juice! With this being said, I still definitely recommend the place but make sure you clear your evening schedule.

This is such a gem of a restaurant in Berlin. Food is amazing. Service is great. Location is outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Auch wir können die schlechten Kritiken nicht verstehen. Wir waren trotz (!) dieser zum ersten Mal im Tien Fu und begeistert! Der Service sehr nett, die Gerichte einfach nur köstlich. Wenn die Speisen nacheinander kommen, einfach teilen (schrieb schon jemand anderes). Das ist meistens auch ein positives Erlebnis. Preisniveau absolut in Ordnung. Nur war es sehr laut, weil voll.

Tian Fu was a discovery for me and my friends! Very nice, reduced furnishings without any frills. Authentic Chinese food and friendly service. Be sure to reserve and take your time.

Oh well. If you've ever eaten Chinese in Sinagur, HK, Taiwan or China, you don't need to come here. Once again “Germanized” Asian cuisine. A pity.

Truly the worst service experience I have ever had at an Asian restaurant. I've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but my first time will also be my last time! I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Incredibly unfriendly and the food is very very very mediocre at best.

We were horrified: the food was neither really fresh nor well seasoned. Vegetables, some frozen. Sauces unimaginative and of poor quality. Salad old. Never again. There are so much better Chinese in Berlin! The service is arrogant.

“Open until 11:30 p.m.” Unfortunately only “2**”, because if you enter as a guest at 10:30 p.m. it says “unfortunately the kitchen is already closed”. And what about your information about opening times? “They don’t apply to the kitchen”… Understand. I don't know why else a restaurant would want to list opening hours on Google. A recommendation to Google: Restaurant opening hours Category 1 (the kitchen even cooks during this time) Restaurant opening hours Category 2 (we are open, but we don't want guests to come and we certainly don't cook). *sarcasm_end* Frustrating experience

Étant à l’hôtel à proximité, fatigués et désirant bien mangé nous avions noté cet établissement. Bien nous en a pris car sans réservation nous avons trouvé une table rapidement. Commande de deux plats accompagnés de riz, bière désaltérante. Servis en 5 mns malgré une belle fréquentation. Plats excellents nous sommes sortis repus. Additions sans surprise, prix corrects. Notez que l’établissement ne prends que les espèces pas de cartes de crédit, cela vous est annoncé à la commande Maud bon de ke savoir. Nous recommandons cet établissement !

Authentic Chinese cuisine, the menu - as usual in China - is the size of a Brockhaus encyclopedia. We found the food to be very tasty, especially the dumplings and yuxiangrousi. Unfortunately, not all waiters are as friendly as you would like.

Donnerstag Abend spontan hineingeschneit, vom netten Kellner Lee Platz am großen Tisch bei einem Stammgast bekommen. Mein Standard 125, 202, 206, 303 oder auch 6 Teigtaschen 🥟 in Chiliöl, Gurken 🥒 Salat mit Chili- Knoblauch, geräucherter Tofu in Koriander Erdnuss Sauce und Chicken gung bao. Alles super lecker und zu absolut fairen Preisen. Ich gehe seit Jahren immer wenn ich in Berlin bin ins tian Fu. Seitdem kann ich nicht mehr zu ordinären Feld/Wald und Wiesenchinesen. Dieses Essen ist einfach anders und es ist super.

Und kann die schlechten Rezensionen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Alles, was wir hatten, war sehr lecker. Wir bekamen auch Reis dazu, aber selbst wenn nicht, im vegetarischen Partner Restaurant Tianfuzius zB haben wir dann halt einfach Reis dazu bestellt. Wir waren zu viert und hatten diverse Vorspeisen (die Dimsums fehlen leider auf den Fotos) und Hauptspeise, alle Vorspeisen kamen zusammen und alle Hauptspeisen kamen zusammen. Der Kellner war aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir werden hier auf jeden Fall wieder essen gehen und empfehlen es klar weiter.

The ambience is appealing. The plates had arrived damaged, which immediately drew attention to the edges of the plates instead of to the food (see picture). Unfortunately the soup was weak. There isn't even salt 🧂 at the table. Had to ask for spiciness - but it wasn't spicy, probably due to long storage. Service was slow and not particularly attentive.

Ich kann die schlechten Kritiken der letzten Zeit in keiner Weise nachvollziehen. Wir waren gestern zu zweit im Tian Fu, hatten vier Vorspeisen und zwei kleine Hauptgerichte. Wie immer waren die gebratenen Dim sum und der geräucherte Tofu mit Wildgemüse hervorragend. Der Schweinebauch mit Knoblauchsauce war ordentlich, hätte etwas mehr Gewürze vertragen. Hühnerfüße habe ich zum ersten Mal, bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal bestellt. Interessante Konsistenz, guter Geschmack. Die gebratenen Bohnen mit Schweinehack waren hervorragend, obwohl nur sehr wenig Fleisch dran war, vielleicht gerade deswegen. Die gebratenen Kartoffelstreifen mit Paprika sind ebenfalls empfehlenswert. Vor einigen Wochen waren wir zu dritt in dem Lokal und kamen zu ähnlichen Bewertungen. Der Service ist schnell und effektiv, eher etwas nüchtern. Es ist nun mal ein Chinalokal und kein Italiener. Was soll´s? Um auf zwei Missverständnisse von Rezensenten der letzten Zeit einzugehen: Reis ist in China keine selbstverständliche Beilage, sondern muss extra bestellt werden. Ein privater Gastgeber, der etwas auf sich hält, wird keinen Reis servieren. Bei sehr armen Chinesen mag dies anders sein. Ein anderer Rezensent beschwerte sich darüber, dass in seiner Gruppe der letzte sein Essen bekam, als der erste schon fertig gegessen hatte. Warum machen sie es nicht, wie es in China üblich ist, es wird gemeinsam bestellt, alles in die Mitte gestellt und geteilt? Schlussendlich basieren diese beiden Negativbewertungen auf mangelnder Sachkenntnis. Finde ich jetzt auch nicht so schlimm, wollte es nur mal erwähnen. Mein Fazit: Tolle Alltagsküche, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, nach der Renovierung angenehmes Ambiente. Für mich ist dies seit vielen Jahren eins der besten authentischen Chinalokale in Berlin neben dem Da Jia Le, Wens Küche (in Mariendorf) und der Pekingente. In der Ming-Dynastie, Good Friends und Hot Spot war ich schon länger nicht mehr, so dass ich diese momentan nicht beurteilen kann. Das Feedback gibt es leider nicht mehr und Tim Raue spielt in einer anderen Liga.

Simply designed restaurant without a lot of Chinese trappings. The employees are very nice and friendly. The food is delicious, the menu is very creative and diverse. I haven't had such good Chinese food in a long time. The price-performance ratio is very good.

Our food arrived after 40 minutes an on top of that, first one dish and then the second one 10 minutes later. It wasn’t busy at all. That’s okay we were having a chilled Sunday and didn’t care but I can imagine that some guests might not be happy about this. The food could be better. The beef broccoli stir fry lacks flavour and needs a bit more sauce. I think that the service team can smile a bit more and not be surprised when someone wants to order something or grab their attention just because they don’t keep their eyes open. It’s not a bad place but if you rethink and improve some of your recipes and train your staff to be more positive and organised then it would be a great place!

Tolles authentisches chinesisches Essen.

It’s not authentic and the service is not good. It’s really funny that the xiaolongbao comes with soy sauce.

Very friendly service. The variety of dishes with a wide variety of sauces is not run-of-the-mill like most of them. Very authentic Chinese cuisine.

Authentic Dim Sum, Teigtaschen and delicious filled Beef and Pork dumplings with Mushrooms and spicy sauces. Rare home made dumplings, that you don’t get anywhere else in Berlin. Also Beef and Chicken or Duck morsels, with sizzling spicy Szechuan Peppers, green peppers and hot, hot, hot red and green chilies.

Food is good but the waiter did not pay attention at all. He was bald with glasses. He barely listened to me and my partner ordering. I had to say my order twice as he was busy turning his back mid conversation to do something else. He then got mad because we wanted to pay with card and not cash even though we ordered two dishes with a total of 14 euros. Also I need to say that we ordered to appatizers to go and they took over 25min.. thats way too long! When I asked why it took so long he just said that yeah, dumplings take long.. but come on....

Leckere authentische Küche mit Abzügen. Der Kellner hatte keine Ahnung, ob die Dim Sum glutenfrei sind. Es hieß nur“ Sie sind ohne Milch und Soja.“ Eine Allergikerkarte, die in jedem Restaurant nicht fehlen sollte, fehlte! Leider wurde auch das Essen zu scharf serviert, ob wohl ich nur milde Schärfe bestellt hatte. Darüber hinaus wurde keine Rechnung gestellt. Später fiel auf, dass uns mehr in Rechnung gestellt wurde.

Wenn du scharfes Essen magst bist du hier richtig 😍. Sehr sehr lecker Bedienung sollte etwas mehr aufmerksamer sein ansonsten alles gut hier.

Love chinese food, had high expectations. Unfortunately cannot recommend this place. Maybe I was not lucky with the dish I chose (the oil of the deep frying does not seem fresh, and also the food was a little dry)💁. Be prepaired to pay extra for rice, tap water etc. Service not very engaged either.

I don’t love Chinese food. But enjoyed my meal here, so spicy. The service was friendly and efficient. Good value

Authentische Küche, gute Auswahl und geschmacklich top. Preis-Leistung stimmt ebenfalls. Definitiv zu empfehlen! :-)

War hier einmal für den Buffet. Lecker aber nicht so besonders.
