Whenever we come to Berlin, we come here for a lovely evening. The staff is very attentive, and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back next year. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stopped here to get a beer because every bar in this area was full and with people smoking inside (i häte Berlin for this). Immaculate vibes, cozy and warm. Perfect to shield me from the absolute cold outside. I think drinking in restaurants rather than bars is the new main character move. Staff very polite and kind too

A true institution! Fresh and delicious food, and fast service! The schnitzel with mushroom sauce is definitely one of my favorites. And the Camembert as a starter is a dream! For dessert, I recommend the house-made tiramisu 🍰

A very charming restaurant with excellent food. The dining room is like stepping back in time to a golden age. A must-visit if you're in the area. A meeting place for everyone, young and old.

The place is very cozy and spacious and the service is fast and very friendly. I didn't like the food very much. We ordered a garlic pizza that I was unable to eat. Also a Caesar salad with chicken that I didn't like either. The chicken had more breading than chicken and was very cold. They have a menu with a lot of variety and I imagine they will have frozen food. It didn't convince me, I had the impression when I entered the establishment that the food would be of high quality.

Great place to visit in Berlin, more traditional feel, rather than tourist spots. Lovely food and atmosphere. Easy access via U Bahn.

Totally rustic and the atmosphere of the dining room is definitely something special. I thought it was nice that there were also dishes for under €10, which you rarely find anymore. The mix of Italian, German and (somewhat) Arabic is a bit special, but it also has advantages and I think it's okay. However, I missed the Arabic whistle when it came to Arabic. The meat was dry and it was okay, but not particularly tasty. It was very customized and simple with little seasoning. So from a culinary point of view I would like to have more courage. What I didn't like was the service. I wanted the card again (because of dessert) - but it didn't come and I gave up and paid at some point. Even before, it took a long time before we could order. Overall, the service wasn't very attentive and hardly checked to see if you wanted anything else. Too bad.

A very ambitious waiter who ran the place in a friendly manner and he also took care of the small tables, even though a large group also had to be served. the food still has a lot of room for improvement. It is also inconvenient when the kitchen staff takes the large buckets of the ready-made kitchen out of storage. Unfortunately the food just has that quality.

This is the second time I've eaten from there, this time it's lasagna, the noodles are sober and totally soft. You won't find any minced meat and the sauce is totally sweet, not to mention tasteless, from the cheese. I'm really disappointed. Never again

After an interim low, back in old quality! If you want to eat home-style but still cheaply, this is the place for you! A large goose leg with 2 dumplings and cabbage with the meat falling off the bone for under €20!!! You have to look for a long time! Not a gourmet temple, but really tasty like a mother's... and the ambience is unbeatable - I just say weed-smoking Mona Lisa 😉 I definitely enjoy coming here again and again!

Incredibly friendly and warm service. We also really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant attracts a pleasant mix of people. I've been living in Berlin for so long and I wonder why I was here for the first time. Definitely not for the last time.

Cozy and old, not a modern hit and go

First things first: Hidden on the inside of the door it says that card payments are only possible from €25 and on the card on the outside of the restaurant it says €20. However, this warning is also hidden in such a way that the Visa, Mastercard logo is visible, but the warning can only be seen from up close (I'm about 1.80), not from the normal distance at which you read the card. The service is partly friendly, but partly quite unfriendly. In addition, the service was not up to par during our visit and we had to wait almost an hour for our food (at least that was what we were told when we ordered). The menu offers dishes from three different country cuisines (which I forgot) and the quality of the food is correspondingly. The pizzas tasted like they were made with the ready-made dough you can buy in the supermarket. The calzone pizza contained a very, very high amount of jalapeños for reasons I don't understand. I'm basically not familiar with Alsterwasser because I only know Radler, this one tasted more like a watered down beer than like a Radler. But perhaps that is also true. All in all, the food wasn't enjoyable, but it was edible and seemed to have been prepared hygienically, etc., it just wasn't tasty. The experience was saved a little for me by the really nice atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as by what I thought were the low prices of ~10€ per pizza.

Found it by chance, but we were very impressed by the ambience, the food and the service. Noticed, we'll be back.

We had reserved a table and were warmly welcomed. We received a great table. The atmosphere is rustic and makes you feel comfortable. The menu offers something for everyone at affordable prices. Everyone enjoyed it and we will most likely go there again on our next visit to Berlin.

Small nice restaurant. We noticed it as we were walking forward and then we went in. Nice staff and the food was quite tasty. Good selection on the menu.

We recently dined here as a large group. The restaurant is furnished with a lot of love and is very cozy. The selection of dishes is extensive and there is something for everyone. The meat and pasta dishes were well received. Unfortunately the salads and pizza were just ok. So choose something different here. The service was very attentive and courteous. Card payment is possible.

The decor in the staircase is still the same as in the 80s, pleasant, clean atmosphere and I have always enjoyed ordering the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce since I was a child. The price-performance ratio is top! The pizzas are also recommended! The service is always attentive and friendly.

The restaurant definitely impresses with its great ambience. It's really cozy and you immediately feel at home. The service is very nice, attentive but not intrusive. The menu offers a good selection. Mainly Italian, but there's also kebab. The taste was good. Prices are totally fair.

Nice old Berlin pub with good food

It was my first time there, I had ordered kebab, it wasn't cooked properly (still red or raw in many places) and was too salty. I ended up giving it to my friends. The atmosphere was relaxed, just very, very dark, a little brighter would be good. Service was like, well, it could be better.

Very nice atmosphere and fairly priced dishes in a tour hotspot where there are also many negative examples. Historical furnishings and Italian dishes tend to cause some cognitive dissonance - but in the end it's not a problem. Gladly again.

A beautiful and decent place that can appeal to different tastes

Full marks for the great restaurant. We registered here for dinner with 7 people. Unfortunately, people didn't arrive until an hour later. Nevertheless, there were no pushy waiters and the like. The ambience is great The food is delicious . The service is very friendly and attentive. Everything including toilets is clean. The prices are reasonable and it tastes simply good

The stairs are a must every time you visit Berlin. We always have such wonderfully relaxed evenings and the time flies. Thank you very much for the lovely evening last week and the chips 👌 We were missing them. Until next time 😁

Das Historische Interieur ist sehenswert & sehr gemütlich. Aufmerksam und flotter Service. Für Stammgäste gibt es Küche bis kurz vor 23 Uhr in der es noch echte Kartoffeln gibt. Mit Pfeffersauce und z.B Hacksteak einfach gut gemacht.

Nous sommes arrivé à Berlin en ayant vraiment très faim ! Ce qui nous à mené tout droit dans ce restaurant , les prix y sont très correct la qualité de notre assiette et du service beaucoup moins 😉 La déco était vraiment unique en son genre par contre !

Lugar bonito, servicio muy amable pero escaso. La comida un fraude. Pedí filet steak y me sirvieron Rumsteak. La cocción un desatre: pedí mi carne poco hecha "medium rare" y me la sirvieron "medium well done" más well done que medium. Nada recomendable

Eine sehr große Speisekarte mit vorwiegend italienischen Speisen. Qualität unzureichend.

Sıcak, samimi bir ortam. Yemekleri çok hoş, garsonlar çok ilgili ve hızlı. Patates kızartması baya çıtırdı. Et güzeldi, yemeğin yanında gelen salata çok az, yetersiz. Ama ayrı olarak salata istediğinizde sosuyla beraber güzel.

Der Laden hat ein cooles etwas rustikales Ambiente, der Service ist freundlich. Das Essen (Lasagne und gemischter Salat mit Thunfisch und Ei) ist auch ganz gut gewesen, ist aber noch Luft nach oben.

Service super, Essen sehr lecker und es gibt vieles zu entdecken. Sehr Hunde freundlich. Parkplatz Möglichkeiten schrecklich.

Sehr gutes Essen, sehr gemütliches Ambiente, sehr tolle Musik, sehr günstig, sehr freundlich und sauber. Preis/Leistung ist der Hammer. Wir standen davor und waren uns erst nicht sicher ob wir rein gehen sollen. Es ist von außen eger unscheinbar. Wir sind soooo froh, dass wir uns dann doch dafür und somit richtig entschieden haben. We needed to wait for a starter quite long as the ingredient arrived late but the mushroom head was sooo amazing! The steak was a bit hard and okish but most meat dishes are good and reasonably priced.

Hervorragend zubereitetes Essen, pikant gewürzt. Mein Kufta war einfach toll. Das Berliner Bier hat es abgerundet. Beim Ambiente muss man sagen, dass wir draußen gesessen haben, da war nicht mehr rauszuholen.

Das solide Gasthaus mit einer ebensolchen Speise- und Getränkekarte hat im Sommer einen Innen- und Außenbereich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und fix. Ich hatte ein Champignonschnitzel mit Pommes bestellt. Das Schnitzel war prima, die Fritten sehr knusprig. Dabei war die Portion sehr groß und das Essen mit 14 € bot ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Das Bier vom Fass (Jever) hätte durchaus kälter sein können und beim Ketchup muss man auch nicht unbedingt das vom Lidl Discounter nehmen. Mein Fazit: Ich war sehr zufrieden und kann „Die Stiege“ gerne weiter empfehlen.

Me and a friend both got pizza. My friend initially got the wrong pizza (with meat, she ordered vegetarian) and my mushroom pizza had canned mushrooms. It is a cheap place but unfortunately also tastes like it.

Wir waren mit ein paar Kollegen zwei Mal in der Stiege und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Bedienung stets sehr freundlich und erinnerte sich bei unserem zweiten Besuch bereits, was wir beim ersten Mal zu trinken hatten. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut und die Portionen ordentlich. Wenn wir mal wieder in Berlin sind, kommen wir bestimmt wieder vorbei.

Es ist eine sehr gemütliche Gaststätte. Die Ausleuchtung wird sehr sparsam eingesetzt. Muscheboubou ebend. Die Mahlzeiten sind wie immer günstig. Die Preise scheinen nicht erhöht worden zu sein. Sie waren über die Jahre (in denen ich ab und an Gast dieses Restaurants bin) konstant unverändert geblieben. Die Mahlzeiten, die ich mir bestellt habe, waren lecker, aber sie scheinen mit den Jahren kleiner zu werden und scheinen auch nicht mehr so üppig zu sein.

Mals 10 min saß ich direkt am Eingang, den der Kellner mehrfach nutzte, um einen Nachbatisch zu bedienen und dort private Gespräche zu führen. Er stand quasi neben mir, als ich mich setzte. Auf Nachfrage im Restaurant nach den 10 min, ob Selbstbedienung sei, kam er dann an den Tisch. Meine erste Frage, ob Kartenzahlung möglich sei, wurde mit „ab 25 Euro“ beantwortet. Ziemlich viel für einen einzelnen Gast. Unsere Wege trennten sich dann. Der Kellner strahlte auch wenig Interesse aus, mich zu bedienen.

Komme immer wieder gerne zum guten Essen mit Freund Michael, der dort um die Ecke in "Ortwin's" Kneipe seine "Jugend an der Mauer" verbracht hat 👍💕

Das Restaurant sieht sehr ansprechend aus. Die Karte bietet viele verschiedene Gerichte. Das essen war auch lecker. Die Bedienung hätte ein wenig besser sein können aber allgemein kann ich mich nicht beschweren

Essen war okay, ich hatte Oriental Platte. Drauf war Schweinelendchen, Pommes und Pilzsoße mit Tomatensoße, Oriental??? Was mich aber echt entäuschte war, mein Mann hatte ein kleines stilles Wasser, für 6,80!!!!!! Das ist brutal.

Ein nettes Restaurant mit einer Mischung aus deutscher, italienischer und indischer Küche. Besonders zu empfehlen waren die Champignons mit Gorgonzola als Vorspeise! Ansonsten ein durchschnittliches Restaurant. Netter Service.
