Why only 1 star for service? Since November 1st, you've been refusing cash, so as far as I'm concerned, you can eat your food yourselves, because as long as this is the case, I won't be eating at your restaurant, and I hope many others will do the same. You are a service provider, and cash is legal tender. If you don't want it, then eat your food alone or go bankrupt if a large number of people refuse to accept it purely out of protest. I also pay by card occasionally, but it should be my choice when I use it, not mandatory! I hope many more people join me in this and show you our protest against this mandatory payment system!

We've been regular customers for years. It's basically the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Truly authentic cuisine, and if you want something spicy, it'll be spicy. My favorites are the Panaeng Curry and the creamy sauce with, for example, coconut and peanut. The 51 is also great—crispy—and I love the tamarind sauce: mildly spicy with just the right amount of sweetness.

Centrally located yet somewhat hidden near the Hauptwache/Fressgass. The food is always delicious and good. Prices are a bit higher than in other parts of Frankfurt, reflecting the city center location. Fast service for lunch.

We had lunch at Tong Thai. You order at the counter, then take a seat and the food is brought to your table. We had number 26 (vegetarian) and number 51. Both dishes arrived quickly and were fresh and very well seasoned. While it's not classic, authentic Thai cuisine, the food tastes really good and the portions are reasonable. It's good value for money and definitely recommended for a simple, tasty lunch.

The worst service ever, the manager is terrible. How can you have a manager like that who doesn't even answer the phone? A customer complained about the food, and she refused to discuss it on the phone. What a jerk! You should find a new manager. We're definitely not going back there, not even ordering online.

I've been a loyal customer for 17 years. Number 46 with number 2 and the day is perfect.

Asian chain restaurant! Ordered food quickly, directly at the cash register. I always find it irritating when I'm asked to tip right away before I've even received service. What should I tip for here? For the correct order and billing? The food is delicious. Good value for money 👍Fast Asian cuisine. You don't have to worry about seating. Customer turnover is quick, a bit loud.

Was that really a main course or just an appetizer? I ordered the main course of fried rice with egg, vegetables, and chicken, and what I got was anything but a "grown-up" portion that justified the €12.50 price tag. I don't even think my 12-year-old sister would have been satisfied. It tasted okay, but how small can a portion possibly be? It's crazy! P.S. Restrooms: Broken soap dispenser and paper towel dispenser. Staff: Uncomprehending and provocative.

I was just about to order dessert (mango sticky rice) to go; you might think it wouldn't be too complicated. After initially not receiving a single glance from the employee, I finally got a hello. I couldn't get any further than "Hello, I'd like to," as I was politely brushed off with the sentence: "We're already closed!" All right, nothing can be done. I leave the shop, check the opening hours here (Google Maps), and it turns out that the opening hours were confirmed two weeks ago and today they're supposed to be open until 10 p.m. Sure, the kitchen might close at 9 p.m. (I left the shop at 9:04 p.m.), but you can also clearly mark it, and sure, a restaurant doesn't get rich off dessert, but respectful behavior should never depend on profit.

Never had such a bad papaya salad. Beans were raw, tomatoes were way too ripe and soft. It had tons of nuts and liquid inside. Very disappointing and not recommended. Also, I ordered to-go and wanted to snack outside, but the employee stopped me because that wasn't allowed. Simply awful, from the food to the service.

We ordered food and waited about 35 minutes, which was okay. The food (37) wasn't. It was the worst Thai food we've ever eaten. We'll never order or eat from there again. Not recommended.

Nice Asian chain restaurant. The food, however, was rather average—not bad, but even the basic dishes were more like pre-made industrial fare than well-executed Asian cuisine—not bad. The dining area, however, occasionally resembled something more like Asian food. I had number 49, Gai-ob-Sabp. The breading came off the meat right from the start, and the vegetables were completely industrially produced, ridged carrots. The taste was a sweet sauce from a cheap Asian market around the corner. It wasn't bad, but not good either—far from authentic Asian cuisine. What a shame.

Everything was super delicious and fresh, we'll go back tomorrow!

Not really recommended. The food tastes way too oily and the ingredients seem cheap (no fresh vegetables, etc.) for too high a price.

I like to go here for lunch; the staff is courteous, attentive, and very friendly. Service is excellent. The food is also delicious. I had the No. 33 PA-NAENG-GAI without vegetables

Thong Thai is a classic near Fressgass. You order directly at the counter, but the food is brought to you. The food usually arrives very quickly and is delicious. I'd love to go there anytime.

There were three of us there, and everyone got their food at a distance. This made it impossible to eat together. None of the food came as ordered. Some of the chicken was still raw. Canned fruit was used as a garnish in the food, so not really Thai or with good taste. The service employee didn't speak German, so they couldn't help us, and was completely overwhelmed when we pointed out the shortcomings. The tip was simply added to the bill without any questions, which we unfortunately didn't see on the receipt until we got home. Conclusion: Price/performance, taste, service, not recommended.

We were there again after a long time. The food has really gotten worse. The rice was completely dry, the duck was sloppy, and the pieces weren't very good. My daughter wanted crispy chicken without anything and got it with sauce that ran all over her scooter. Service was also poor; it used to be much better. The price has also increased by 50%.

Thai fast food. When you get tired from the stress of simply witnessing Frankfurt, this place is fine for a quick recharge.

Sorry, but if you don't take orders at 9:15 PM, even though it was pretty empty because you close at 10:00 PM, then we'll never come back. I've never experienced anything like that in 10 years in Frankfurt. Apparently, your Indian employees just don't want to work.

Unfriendly service, long waiting time

I ordered two dishes, and they arrived eight minutes apart. I wanted to eat them together, so I waited. I then said that if you order them together, they should be served together. I politely asked for my food to be exchanged. What did you do? Yes, exactly, microwave. So, I won't be eating here again.

The whole thing, including apple spritzer and a tip, cost €32.40. At first, I thought, "Wow, that's not exactly cheap." When the ordered food arrived, well, bravo! Large portions, and everything was very good, too. The price/performance ratio was absolutely perfect for me. All the dishes that were carried past me looked good and plentiful. I regularly go to Thong Thai Neu Isenburg. I was very disappointed with my dish in Frankfurt yesterday. The sauce of dish 51 was so extremely salty that I felt thirsty the entire day. Even at night it continued.

My meal was great, but my brother clearly ordered the 25 vegan option and got the 20 with shrimp. Unfortunately, no one wanted to swap the meal. We had to pay again. What a shame ☹️

I was here with my wife. We ordered two dishes, but they were served separately. One came quickly, the other only after my wife had finished eating. They ask for a tip. If you don't, you'll be treated like we were. Also, the plate wasn't warm and the food was way too salty—the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. If you really want Thai food, I can't recommend this place.

If you order extras, you'll skip the regular chicken and shrimp. So, you'll spend more for less.

My wife and I had dinner there last night. The taste of the food was good. But unfortunately they obviously work with glutamate there. We both felt that. So if you have problems with glutamate, you should stay away from it.

I think it's positive that the table was already set with oils and spices despite self-service. Unfortunately, to place your order you have to go to the checkout, but the food is then brought to your table. I couldn't find anything negative about the taste, but nothing special either. I think €21 (extra meat) is okay, tends to be a bit expensive without service.

A nice restaurant for quick but good Thai cuisine. The dishes were very tasty. Prices are also very reasonable for the central location of the restaurant. You have to get cutlery etc. yourself, some tables are a bit unclean. Both give the feeling of sitting in a fast food restaurant. Since the restaurant is somewhat remote, it appears quite quiet from the outside. The ambience inside also creates a typical fast food flair. All-in-all a good place to eat.

I just an order via Wolt. The chicken was utterly dry and the summer rolls were pretty much bland without the sugary sauce. Very disappointing.

I've been ordering your fried noodles regularly for years, but the quality has deteriorated significantly recently. The dish now only contains eggs and occasionally 1-2 broccoli florets. What is particularly disappointing is that this is the third time the sauce has been forgotten while cooking. Without this, the pasta unfortunately lacks any flavor. I really hope that the quality will improve again, just as I was used to.

Visité Thong Thai en Frankfurt am Main en base a su alta calificación, pero la comida era sosa y poco impresionante. Los ingredientes no parecían frescos, y los sabores carecían de autenticidad. Dejé una crítica honesta en Google, pero fue eliminada sin explicación, lo que me hace cuestionar la fiabilidad de sus calificaciones. Desafortunadamente, no puedo recomendar este lugar.

Great food but crowded during Lunch time!

Ordering the food and delivery to the place was very quick. The food really tasted great and was filling!

We were there on a Friday evening. At first it was very crowded, busy and loud, but then it became a little quieter. A lot of people order take-out. You order at the cash register, take drinks and cutlery and are given a number that you take to the table. The food is then brought. That's why there are always 2-3 service staff running around looking for numbers. In our case, the starter came quickly, but the main courses were forgotten. We had to remind twice and received no apology. You're annoyed that you paid a tip at the checkout in advance. Next time we'll know better... At least the food was good and plentiful.

I ordered two dishes, both of which were simply not tasty. The noodles weren't anything special and the meat didn't look like it was of high quality either. The sauces were liquid and not tasty. From other (mediocre Chinese or Thai restaurants) you are used to at least a large portion, but this wasn't the case here either. (I'm still hungry). Of course, I'm aware that food delivered isn't as good as it is locally - but other restaurants can do it too. The prices are absolutely incomprehensible compared to the quality. I also noticed the positive reviews, which obviously must have been purchased - unfortunately you can't rely on good reviews here on Google. Hands off!

We ordered there today and are really very disappointed. Unfortunately the quality isn't right for the price. For a "specialty" that costs over €18, I don't expect cheap noodles with a thin, tasteless sauce. We have tried many Asian delivery services and Thong Thai was really disappointing. I also really can't realistically explain the 4.6 star ratings. We won't be ordering there anymore...

We've been going there for years. Food, price performance and ambience all great 🫶

Google says the store is open until 10 p.m. but apparently the kitchen is only open until 9:30 p.m.

We are very disappointed with the service. Last time we ordered number 15 and it was served with coconut milk (photo attached). Today, February 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., we ordered the exact same soup, but it was brought to us without coconut milk. They tried to convince us that it wasn't the same number, even though it was fine last time. The store manager refused to change our order. We are very disappointed. You can see the difference in the photo.

If I order a meal as a vegetarian and I want tofu instead of meat, why do I have to pay 1.60€ extra? Being a vegetarian or vegan does not mean I have a higher salary. Also, the tofu price is mentioned in the “extras” section. If I replace meat with tofu it is not an extra but more of a replacement. They really lost on competitiveness in the last few years.

Unfortunately, the waiting time at lunchtime between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. is sometimes very long, up to 45 minutes. The online pre-orders and Wolt delivery service seem to be preferred. Therefore, you wait a long time for your food because the 4 customer groups of those still eating on site and those who want to take their lunch with them have to wait. The coordination of the 4 customer groups therefore leads to long waiting times, like the 30 minutes today.

Since when does eating meat cost as much as eating vegetarian????? So I can be kidding myself :((( No go

I don’t understand the good reviews at all. The starter and the massaman gai very literally the worst Thai food I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Strongly discouraged to come here!

The order went really quickly even though the store was full before Christmas. The duck was delicious. Otherwise, all the guests seemed very satisfied. Although this is the better Thai, I also think the price-performance ratio is absolutely ok. Drinks can be taken directly from the refrigerator compartment at the checkout. Otherwise very clean and especially the toilets. There is even Asian music here and therefore a bit of an authentic atmosphere. I would like to come again.

Just ordered through Wolt: The chicken was of poor quality, incredibly tough and didn't taste fresh. Very disappointing as the quality in the other branches has been good so far.

Eschborn branch: Unfriendly employee (with glasses), behaves completely wrong and thinks she is the owner! I've been a customer for years and always order the same food (Phad Thai) but whenever it's ordered to take away, the food is prepared without any effort and just slapped down. That's why in the future I will only eat in Frankfurt city center at the stock exchange!!

The shop itself is great and I enjoy eating here. But today December 11th, 2024 at 4:15 p.m. there was a woman at the checkout who came straight to the checkout in a bad mood and not feeling like it. After I explained what I wanted to eat because I couldn't find it on the menu, the lady started to instruct me how to order correctly. Since I look southern, I assume that my face and black hair didn't suit her. Anyone who puts such people at the checkout loses potential regular customers like me!

So I'm totally convinced and blown away. I ordered duck with vegetables and it was delicious. But what really blew me away was the Mango Sticky Rice. You've got it guys, but how!!! I've been looking for a dessert for a long time that tasted nearly as good as in Thailand and you rocked it for me. Thanks!

Matschiger Reis und vor allem das Hühnchen ist Pressfleisch. Das war kein echtes Hühnerfilet. Die Sauce war ok aber nach meinem Geschmack viel zu süss.

Very bad service. Of the 2 meals ordered, only one was brought to the table. After 30 minutes of waiting, nothing came. After actively asking about the second meal, the answer was no idea. Apparently we only ordered 1 meal. Who goes out to eat with two people and one only eats? That doesn't make any sense either way. The manager was very rude to us and became personal with racist comments. After a lot of back and forth and discussions, in the end we of course got our money back, but that wasn't our goal, we wanted to go out for dinner together as a couple, which didn't happen. So next time please don't just look at the menu but also at the clock to see what's in it when you go out to eat but there's only 1 meal at the table and it's gotten cold after waiting 30 minutes.

They acted annoyed to even see customers, showing a lazy, dismissive attitude that made it clear they don’t care about anyone but themselves. When we raised valid complaints about our food and service, the manager rolled their eyes, argued with us, and showed zero willingness to fix anything. They were condescending, spoke to us like we were beneath them, and seemed to take pleasure in being rude. It was like dealing with an untrained, arrogant bully rather than a professional in hospitality. The entire time, the manager couldn’t be bothered to leave their spot or do anything to assist their staff, who were clearly struggling under their "leadership." It’s mind-blowing how someone so lazy and incompetent ended up in a position of authority. This manager’s horrendous attitude set the tone for the entire restaurant, creating a toxic atmosphere that left a sour taste before we even got our food. This was the most unwelcoming and disrespectful experience I’ve ever had. I strongly urge you to spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually values its customers and treats them with basic decency — because you won’t find it here. This review goes all-in on the manager's rude behavior, disrespect, and lazy attitude, highlighting how it negatively impacts the entire restaurant experience.

The portions have become small.

It's been a few weeks since my visit. I was there at lunchtime, so there was a long line. That was OK with me. I ordered a Pad Thai to take away. A couple who ordered after me got their order (also Pad Thai) before me. Even though there was so much going on, an employee (potentially the boss?) noticed it immediately and asked me what I had ordered. She immediately made sure I got my order and gave me free spring rolls with two sauces to compensate for the waiting time. :-) The Pad Thai was very tasty and was a huge portion for €11.90. No wonder it's going so well.

Food was bang on, but place wasn't quite what I expected. You order at the front like in a takeaway. Choice of soft drinks or beer, so a bit limited. Ordered starters & and mains, but they all came together, which was weird & annoying. Gorgeous food and priced well - we were stuffed.
