Thirty Nine Bar and Dining in Stuttgart

Honest food at real prices, very nice hosts. It was delicious and plentiful. The ambience is typical of a club pub - no shishi and rather rustic, but just good.

After shopping at Kaufhof in Stuttgart, we went to the GALERIA restaurant on the top floor. The restaurant was very busy, and we just barely found a seat. Since I hadn't been there in over a decade, it was practically my first visit. Accordingly, I wasn't sure how the ordering process would work. There was also no real explanation of how it would work. There were hardly any signs for the individual dishes. When there were signs, they weren't very informative. Except for a few dishes, there were no ingredients listed. So I didn't know which dish was vegetarian and which wasn't, or which contained fish and which didn't. With some dishes, you can, of course, tell by looking at them, but with others, it's not so easy. For example, with filled dumplings. What are they filled with? Meat? What kind of meat? Or maybe cheese? Allergens were listed, but not in a way that made it easy to identify everything. To be honest, the price list confused me more than it helped me. In the end, almost everything has the same price per 100g. So you take a plate, fill it with whatever looks good, and then take it to the checkout. There, the plate is weighed, and you pay for the food. I paid about €18 for a more or less full plate. Then I added drinks, and that brought the total to €20 per person. The dishes didn't really impress me. The potato salad was very vinegary, the fried dumplings were unusually greasy, and the spaetzle were relatively bland. Nothing was inedible, but I won't be coming back. In summary, you get mediocre cafeteria food for restaurant prices.

Wir hatten das 3gängige Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Sehr leckeres Essen und preislich total angemessen. Die Weine waren sehr gut, der Service und die Atmosphäre sehr locker und angenehm. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns schon auf die Terrasse im Sommer an einem der schönsten Orte in der Innenstadt mit Blick auf die Oper.

What can I say? One star for the location. Zero for cleanliness. Zero for the shisha. Zero for the employees and zero for the music, even though there were 15 of us and the waiter just wanted to have his favorite song Despacito played 10 times in a row...

Unfortunately very bad sushi. Unfortunately, I cannot understand the positive recessions. The fish wasn't fresh. The sushi tasted like everything, including fat and other things. The tuna was inedible and I had to throw it away. Delivery time was OK
