Nice vegan restaurant. The food is very tasty, even if the selection is very limited. The restaurant isn't very large, so reservations are essential. A notice on the door indicates that the restaurant is looking for waitresses. This is also the only minor criticism. The two women serving were exceptionally friendly and attentive. But it was clear that they were operating at the limit of their capacity; what a shame! On the other hand, it's also well known that it's not always easy to hire good, friendly waitresses. For that reason alone, thank you very much again for the truly excellent service!

A small location tucked away in Hamburg's Langenhorn district. But as small as the place may be, its potential is enormous. The service is fast, friendly, and always accommodating. The restaurant creates a calm and inviting atmosphere that doesn't overwhelm even when it's full. And the food is simply excellent. Fresh, seasonal, vegan, and with a wonderful selection of drinks to complement it.

It was a spontaneous visit on our way to the planetarium and thus our first time there. Our expectations were remarkably exceeded. The food was excellent and delicious, and the staff was super friendly. We highly recommend a visit.

The food is excellent. Unfortunately, there are only four main courses to choose from – the cheapest starting at a hefty €23. The service was also very friendly. I was very bothered by the air quality. The kitchen is open and there was a strong smell of food. There seems to be no ventilation – so we asked if we could open a window.

We stayed one night in a hotel near Hamburg Airport, and it was a six-minute walk from there. We made a reservation the day before via the website, and it worked perfectly. The staff is friendly, and the service is also very good. Even if you're not vegan, we can still recommend this restaurant. We will definitely eat there again when we're back in Hamburg.

Small but nice, very tasty dishes, nice service

I passed by here by bike 🚲 and found the name interesting, so I found this vegan restaurant. At first I thought it was a rocker bar, but the menu looks very good: vegan dishes from all over the world! From the Middle East to Middle Eastern and other continents, they offer good vegan food. You should make a reservation here in the evening. Nice seating inside, and outside too! I'll be back to try it out; the menu is so delicious 😊

The menu is relatively limited, but the dishes are very tasty. The small appetizers are especially recommended. Seating inside is a bit cramped, especially if you're with a group, but there's also a cozy garden behind the restaurant.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The food is delicious, the service is very attentive, and the atmosphere is also very pleasant. Except maybe that I'd love to go there every day, but my wallet doesn't allow it 😄

I love the Vegan Eagle! The concept is incredibly well-thought-out, and I think it's great that the dishes are always changing – it never gets boring. The food not only looks incredibly colorful and is presented in an original way, but also tastes truly high-quality. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes a visit simply enjoyable. Dogs are also welcome here, which is a huge plus for me. The outdoor area is beautifully designed—not too open, but really cozy with lots of greenery all around. What I also love: the charity shots, where the proceeds are donated to various organizations. This way, every visit also does something good for others. All in all, you just feel at home at the Vegan Eagle and will gladly come back!

We were pleasantly surprised by the attractive decor and enjoyed the beer garden. Anyone who likes airplanes will certainly enjoy this very direct view. The food was, as expected, of very high quality. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff deserves special mention. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very cozy restaurant with a great beer garden. The tables are very small but if you're not a big eater they're sufficient. The menu changes monthly, which I think is great. Last time I visited, I was absolutely thrilled with the delicious spreads. They didn't have them this time, but there were other great things. The starters (5 items) weren't all that great. The soup was too salty and the chips in the guacamole were bland and cold. On the other hand, the "Turkish pizza" was a taste experience. The main courses were good and plentiful. Not all of us at the table were vegan, but we still agree that we will definitely come back again one day and be surprised at how well you can cook good food using only plant-based products.

We've been to Vegan Eagle many times and have been thoroughly impressed every time. Unfortunately, this time the food didn't completely convince us—especially considering the ever-increasing prices. Nevertheless, we'd love to come back and hope it was just a one-time experience.

A bit intimidating from the outside, as the restaurant is located at the back of a gas station. Some TLC on the front lawn would have been nice. But step through the door and all that is forgotten. 4 main courses, 5 appetizers. If you're a true vegan, don't eat the burger; it's first-class, but it doesn't compare to the bowl. Finally, well-seasoned, well-seasoned, no comparison to the vegan version. But when we left, the restaurant was full, even though it was around 7 p.m. on a Wednesday.

At Vegan Eagle, I've always had high-quality and, above all, delicious food (over the past six years). The service is always attentive, and the atmosphere has a cozy feel. I recently had the gyro plate, and it was fantastic. Whether you're vegan (like me) or not, it's simply a great restaurant in Langenhorn. It's worth the drive from any other part of town, too.

The Vegan Eagle is a vegan restaurant with a long tradition and always surprises with new, delicious creations. The drinks menu offers so many choices that ordering is a real struggle. The beer garden is cozy and invites you to linger. Dogs are welcome and even receive friendly service. An online reservation is required for a visit, which seems inconvenient at first, but is actually very easy. The Vegan Eagle is so busy and popular that you quickly realize why a table reservation makes sense.

The food is always delicious, the service friendly, and the garden is a little oasis (apart from the planes, but that's just how it is when the airport is next door).

The Vegan Eagle is truly an exceptional restaurant. The food paired with the ambiance and presentation is truly beautiful. The service staff is fantastic, attentive, young, and fresh (but in a good way). We tried the entire appetizer menu. Everything was very, very tasty. You have to like the burnt eggplant paste; it's not for everyone – I did. We had excellent white wine with it. Wonderful for the season. We had some negative criticism regarding the main course. First, there isn't much variety. There are only four dishes, and one of them is always a burger, curry, or chili. If you don't like any of the three, you only have one choice. I wish there were more classic dishes, but they were simply and really well-executed in a vegan way. Second, regarding the main course: Even though the consistency of our curry was good, the main course was rather lightly or insufficiently seasoned. We're certainly not talking about over-seasoning. But if two different people think the food was bland, then I really think the chef should have given it more importance. Finally, I'd like to drop a review bombshell. I'm definitely not an eco-nut, soy-crazy freak, but rather an absolute and self-confessed meat eater, not just a meat eater, but a foodie. And I STILL had a very nice evening here! Thanks to the team – I'll be back.

The two of us were there over the weekend and had a wonderful stay. For starters, we had the 5 Little Delicacies, as recommended. We were particularly impressed by the salmon and the quiche. For main courses, we had the 5 Bean Chili and the Acropolis Plate. These were also very tasty, and we were ultimately very full. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and they never failed to make us smile. All in all, an unreserved recommendation!

There were three of us, and we chose a vegan restaurant because one of us is vegan for health reasons. All three of us were pleasantly surprised. It was absolutely delicious, even for non-vegans. It was super cozy, and the service was incredibly attentive. We'll be back.

I have been wanting to go to this beer garden for a while, and finally made it. But unfortunately I felt feeling like I didn‘t get the value for my money. We had a burger and a 5 bean chilli. The burger: was ok, tasted well, it was swimming in mayonnaise, but I guess that is a matter of personal taste. It was accompanied by a slaw, which also had a lot of mayonnaise, so altogether average. The 5-bean chilli was just an average bean soup, which you make at home. Its also ok, but not for €25 a portion. As a vegan I always look forward to try something new and creative when I eat out, but unfortunately, that was not the case here.

So... our biggest problem is that it was incredibly delicious. We had three "courses," and each one was better than the next. It's really cool that they have a changing menu; that tempts us to come back. Considering we've never seen the place on popular social media channels, it was very busy during the week – which probably speaks volumes about the quality there. Sure, €25 for a main course isn't cheap, but it's very, very reasonable! The quality of the food is excellent, and the service and ambiance are top-notch. It's not centrally located, but I think that's also what makes it so special: it's not a trendy place. Really top-notch! The garden is beautifully natural, and the food comes quickly. Really good and worth the money. It's completely vegan anyway, needless to say... We'll definitely be back. Sorry I left such a small tip; I only realized that way too late... I'll have more next time ;) I would love it if you offered a vegan BBQ buffet! That would definitely be amazing!

The best food! As a non-vegan, I eat there about once a month, and so far there hasn't been a thing I haven't enjoyed. I think the 5 little delicacies are particularly amazing! The entire team is super friendly and caters to every need.

We were a private party with a buffet, so it was a bit unusual. A quaint little restaurant, excellent food, and very attentive and friendly service. You can tell the love and care goes into making this place. Highly recommended.

The service is very friendly, the food arrives fairly quickly, and it tastes very good. Card payments are also accepted.

We orderd all the appetizers and were disappointed in how bland they were; really nothing special. We had looked at the main courses and found there were not a lot of choices. Sometimes that means that the ones they do have are very, very well made, but after our disappointing starters we didn't want to spend another €25 on something that could be just an ordinary burger or chili, so I cannot comment on the main courses . The desserts looked interesting, but when we tried to get some information on individual ingredients our server really had no clue and didn't bother to find out (example: what's the Waldmeister Panna Cotta made from? It's a cream that tastes like Waldmeister. We'll, duh.) I had really looked forward to dining @ Vegan Eagle, but the whole experience was less than satisfying; particularly given the prices and the fact that the restaurant isn't exactly centrally located.

What a find! It’s a breath of fresh air!

I'm not vegan (more someone looking for good meat alternatives), but this restaurant is definitely worth trying. A completely vegan menu in an ambiance that can only be described as quaint. Over the years, it has evolved, from a "stationary" menu to a more compact one that changes monthly, showing off a culinary creativity. This has advantages but also disadvantages. The advantages are obvious: the "come back and try" factor is fully in play, and the kitchen can better adapt to the limited number of dishes. However... if you're looking forward to a dish from last time and it's no longer available due to the change of month, that's a shame. (Should one of the team comment on this review: what was the name of the Asian main course from May '25, and will it appear on the menu again at some point?) Price-wise, it's on the higher end. However, it's difficult to judge whether it's too expensive or not, as this is a very specialized cuisine with few comparable options in Hamburg. Yes, there are vegan dishes elsewhere, but not with such complexity and variety. And restaurant visits themselves have become more expensive recently. In any case, I'll be back to explore more vegan cuisine and hope that this gem stays loyal to northern Hamburg for a while longer.

The Vegan Eagle has been my favorite restaurant for years. This time, too, it was incredibly delicious. The three of us shared the appetizer combo, and the albondigas were the best! The jackfruit burger for the main course had a fantastic sauce, and the Mango Tango for dessert had a delicious cookie (or whatever that was :D). Highly recommended!

We visited the Vegan Eagle on our wedding day and were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished, and when the weather's nice, you can even sit outside. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to order drinks right away. We had a delicious blueberry-vanilla lemonade. The lemonades, which are made with elderberry and woodruff grown in the hotel's own garden, are particularly noteworthy. The service from the hosts is excellent! They were consistently fast, attentive, multilingual, and unobtrusive. We ordered three appetizers, which were freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. The baba ganoush and the albondigas were divine. For main courses, we had the burger and the sabich, and we also enjoyed both of these dishes. The homemade hummus was served with eggplant, which was simply fantastic and flavorful. The brownies for dessert were also very impressive. The price-performance ratio is justified considering that everything is homemade and the attention to detail. We found the portions to be generous and filling. All in all, we had a perfect evening and would like to thank the entire Vegan Eagle team for it!

The food was a dream! After having the good fortune to cook with Konsti, the chef of the Vegan Eagle, at the Round Table in the Land of Animals, I was eager to visit his restaurant. The menu is very varied and changes every month. I had three appetizers – all delicious, the homemade brownie peanut liqueur – so decadent and delicious – amazing! – and the coconut dessert – heavenly. The service was excellent. I can recommend the Vegan Eagle to everyone – vegan or not.

For me, The Vegan Eagle is a real highlight in Hamburg – not only because it was one of the first completely vegan restaurants in the city, but above all because of the consistently delicious food and the special atmosphere. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but you get creative, seasonal dishes prepared with love. The desserts are also dreamy – I especially love the brownies. The restaurant itself is comfortably furnished, and in summer, the green outdoor area is a great place to linger. The staff is always friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more pleasant. I love how they offer high-quality vegan cuisine here without seeming pretentious. A place where you can feel completely at home.  Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for good vegan food in Hamburg!

Pathos is such a thing... I want to convince people to come here sometime - so let's go. That. Was. Awesome. With the first bite, we noticed two things: significantly less salt than in our kitchen at home incredibly harmonious Spaetzle, fricassee, and salad; spaetzle with wild garlic pesto, the lemon served with it turns the side noodles into a dish in their own right, forget the salt! The fricassee with jackfruit was wonderfully velvety, and the salad was a solid side dish. Together, it was real mom's cooking, except that mom never gets it quite as good. I don't think that quite sums it up. It was like a trip back to childhood. For the burger with green spelt, green asparagus, and a kind of vegan bacon, the magic ingredient was mayonnaise with tarragon. Who would have thought that the tarragon in the mayo would combine these three things so perfectly? I can only describe the brownies as the spot in my mouth that tightened when I ate them. The spot directly above the upper front molars, where the salivary glands are located, which only reacts so strongly during a real feast of sweet and salty. The brownies were incomparable. The service, the friendly, young people who went to such great lengths to serve us, deserves our highest praise!

We were absolutely thrilled! Everything not only looked amazing, but tasted absolutely delicious too. The burger? Juicy, spicy, and simply delicious. The cashew curry was pure soul food. And the cheesecake with berry sauce? Hallelujah – that was dessert heaven! You can tell: The food here is cooked with love. Creative, fresh, and spot-on. Plus, a super friendly team and a chilled-out atmosphere. Honestly: Anyone who says vegan doesn't taste good after this meal is just out of luck. 😄

I'm both amused and saddened to see how Vegan Eagle continues to raise its prices almost every month. At the end of the 2010s, the prices for main courses were around €12/€13. With the current June menu, they're almost €25, meaning they've doubled since then. My salary hasn't doubled in the last seven years. The Vegan Eagle employees are unlikely to be happy about double their salary now either. And fortunately, food prices haven't doubled in that time either. Vegan Eagle seems to be trying to position itself higher and thus reach other, more affluent guests. Will they succeed in this, given the modest ambiance and unfavorable location? Many others have failed. As a former regular, you feel like you've been thrown away. But I still wish Vegan Eagle the best of luck!

We sat outside and enjoyed the wild garden and the birds singing. And the warm and good service. Luckily we were able to stay there for more than 2 hours! Everything was great except that my husband and I found the curry food too spicy. But that's a matter of preference and we'll be happy to come back.

Super delicious purely vegan food with always new, cleverly thought out alternatives. We enjoyed “A Bowl of Autumn” in October and were thrilled as always, as well as the “Nut Cake in a Glass”. A dream! It's just a shame that the Vegan Eagle won't be open on Christmas holidays this year. But the nice staff were granted these days off for the family.

We received a very warm welcome at the Vegan Eagle, the owner(s) and the whole team were super nice. The menu is small and includes 4 main courses, plus some starters and desserts. We had all the main courses on the table, they were all excellent in terms of appearance and taste 👌 This shows the advantage of a small menu, no convenience, everything is fresh and tasty. The portions of the main courses were really generous. I'm already a good eater, with a small starter, the main course and a very tasty passion fruit cheesecake to finish but more than satisfied, there was absolutely nothing left 😅 The ambience seems a bit thrown together, I haven't read up on it, but it seems as if the entrance was once a Chinese restaurant and the part at the back was added on? The terrace doesn't really invite you to sit outside either; there's still some work to be done here. However, the outdoor season is only just getting started. All in all, I was very surprised, I'm not vegan or vegetarian and was a bit skeptical beforehand, but I ate better here than in many other restaurants. We'll definitely be back ❤️

It's very noisy even in an almost empty store.

Not worth the money. The food was overpriced and you could have easily made it better at home. The starters are ridiculously small. The location is under a flight path close to the airport and therefore it is very noisy. Few parking spaces. You're sitting in the garden of a single-family home, the garden wasn't particularly tidy. It's nice that it's vegan, that's why we went there. Edit (unfortunately I can't respond to the answer any other way): Dear Vegan Eagle Team, BBT is obviously an initialism. Instead of hate and negativity, I wanted to make my honest disappointment and criticism clear. It's a shame that you still dismiss my review as a hate comment instead of accepting such a review. My absolute favorite restaurant in Hamburg! I've been enthusiastic about the Vegan Eagle for years - for me it's the best vegan restaurant in Hamburg! The quality of the dishes is outstanding, the ingredients are fresh and it feels like they really pay attention to seasonality and regionality. The menu changes regularly and always surprises with creative, unique creations. You won't find standard dishes here - and if they are available, then in an innovative version. You can just tell that creative minds are at work here! The food? Unbeatably good! I'm a passionate cook myself and often rate restaurants based on whether I could have done a dish better at home - but Vegan Eagle has never disappointed me. The combinations of spices, flavors and textures are perfectly balanced. There are also always new sustainable products on the menu, especially drinks with little or no sugar, which are rarely found otherwise. I find the mocktails particularly exciting, which I will definitely try on my next visit – they just sound too good! Service & Atmosphere – You really feel welcome here! The entire team is incredibly warm, attentive and with real passion. You don't just get served, you are really taken care of - be it with recommendations, special requests or just a nice conversation. This thoughtfulness makes the visit even more special. Value for money & location – Yes, Vegan Eagle is a little more expensive than other restaurants, but the quality absolutely justifies the price! You don't get run-of-the-mill cuisine here, but real craftsmanship with the best ingredients. Unfortunately the restaurant is a bit out of the way so I can't go there as often as I would like.
